We were impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Where else can you find such attentive and friendly service? The food was also of very good quality; it wasn't frozen or convenience food. Very good quality and at reasonable prices! I often get annoyed by excessive prices and poor quality. Here at AMBACH, the food tasted good, and much of the menu is regional. Wonderful!

The staff is courteous and friendly, and the food is, as always, excellent. However, they desperately need to invest in some soundproofing; it was so loud that we could barely hold a conversation.

We were there yesterday for a company outing. The service was excellent. We were able to place our orders quickly and received them quickly, too. Everyone was able to eat delicious food at the same time and didn't have to sit with empty plates. When it came to the check, the staff even remembered what everyone had eaten and drunk. That was truly impressive yesterday and something you don't see very often these days. Thank you so much!

Friendly and competent staff, excellent food (we had four burgers), a successful restaurant visit. The outdoor area is located between the road and the cliff, and can be a bit noisy at times, but otherwise everything was great.

Very nice restaurant! We celebrated our wedding there with 20 people and made reservations in advance, and the menu was put together. Everything was very well organized. The food was delicious and the service very friendly. We would definitely go back and a big thank you to Steffi!

Good food, friendly and attentive service, and a lovely, airy, modern ambiance. And thanks to easy reservations, you'll also find a lovely spot without stress or waiting. The small welcome drink on the house also deserves a special mention.

Delicious food, friendly service and great ambience

The food is of good quality. However, the price seems relatively high—especially compared to other restaurants in the area that also source their produce locally. The interior is industrially styled, modern, and attractive, but the noise and reverberation create a somewhat train station atmosphere.

My Frankfurter schnitzel with green sauce was okay, but I found the farmer's fries too dry. We didn't find the dumplings in chanterelle cream that tasty. The dumplings were much too moist, almost soft, and very bland in flavor. The service was attentive.

Super delicious burgers. We had the one with avocados, accompanied by a perfectly cooked fried egg; highly recommended. The friendly and quick-witted service rounded off the evening perfectly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A culinary hit at Ambach – definitely try it while it's available! The crispy cod with wakame salad was an absolute hit as the daily special! The fish: wonderfully crispy on the outside, wonderfully juicy on the inside – perfectly prepared. The wakame salad brings a fresh seafood note into play, which is ideally complemented by the creamy sesame sauce. The sauce is not only a visual eye-catcher, but also a true taste highlight that ties everything on the plate together. A harmonious, creative dish that shows how much attention to detail goes into the kitchen here. It's just a shame it's not on the menu permanently – so grab it when it's offered again as a daily special! Five stars – without question.

This was our third time there, and we really enjoyed it again. There were two minor disappointments: The welcome drink was very tasty, but a non-alcoholic version for the driver would have been nice. The sweet potato fries with sour cream were really good, and the burgers are also really tasty. Unfortunately, for the second time, we had a small issue with the patties on two of our burgers being a bit raw. The service and atmosphere are great. A big compliment. We would be happy to recommend you.

Highly recommended! The burgers are super delicious (we've tried them several times), and the drinks menu leaves nothing to be desired. Huge praise for the super friendly and attentive service; we felt completely at home. It's especially great that guests with food intolerances are also taken into account and gluten-free burger buns are offered – a real plus! The ambiance is very cozy and stylish; the combination of natural stone walls, steel beams, and large windows was exactly what we were looking for. We'll definitely be back :-)

The menu is exceptionally well-curated, making it difficult to choose because there are so many well-matched dishes, and you want to try as many as possible. The execution is also fine and lives up to the high expectations. Highly recommended!

Service was super friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. Unfortunately, the burger was almost completely raw at first, so I had to send it back. It didn't taste particularly good; the bun was too hard and dry, and somewhat flavorless. The drinks were good, but for the price, I expected the basil/mint leaves to be brown; it just doesn't look appetizing. It used to be better.

The pommes were tasty but the burgers were a let-down, we didn't feel what we've got matched the high price tag at all. Service and atmosphere were fine.

Dear potential guests, due to the lack of alternatives in Idstein, a visit is inevitable. However, we once again experienced that the boss was resting on his initial laurels. The service is inattentive and the politeness could be improved. 1. No service for 30 minutes with empty glasses? 2. Dessert is served without cutlery and a knife and fork are brought? - with ice cream?? The price is too high for the quality of the food. But feel free to make up your own mind. - a patty can be raw on the inside or the melted cheese can be hard.

The burgers at Ambach have been a highlight for me in terms of taste for a long time, I haven't had such good burgers in a long time. I had a cheeseburger + bacon and my wife had a venison burger + gluten free burger bun!! The extra sweet potato fries were also very good here. However, the burgers are also in the upper class in terms of price. You have to want to pay over €20 for a burger and fries. As long as the quality is right, I'm willing to pay for it. We'd love to come back. Then we look forward to the “free” drink at the reception again.

Full marks for everything. Was there for the first time today, otherwise just drove past 1000 times. Super tasty burgers, the food comes quickly. The burgers were juicy and very tasty, the fries were crispy, well seasoned and not as bland as in many other restaurants. The staff is simply awesome, friendly, nice, humorous. The burgers were extremely tasty. The fries were dark from fat (drowned in fat) and too salty. The cyclist only came with a limo upon request. At the beginning we had to wait 10 minutes before we were allowed to place the order. Only 1 toilet for the entire restaurant? Service was very friendly. 👍 Cheeseburger with fries that weren't fries cost €20.80. A bit steep in terms of quality.

I was there yesterday with a friend for dinner and a drink. We didn't have a reservation, but we were shown straight to a table. The food and drinks were really tasty and good value for money. Unfortunately the service was a bit slow. We sat with empty glasses for at least 20 minutes until the waitress came to us (after we made ourselves known) and we could order something new. It's also a shame that the waitresses talk loudly to each other at the table or between the tables😢. You can have a conversation, but you should pay attention to what and where.

If you want a perfect “Mexican” or a creative cocktail, you’ve come to the right place. The range of beers is impressive across the board: from classic varieties to changing special beers on tap - there is variety on offer here that will delight every beer lover. The quality is first class, freshly tapped and always at the perfect temperature. The food also deserves a mention: the cuisine is simply top class. The changing seasonal menu regularly surprises with new, creative and delicious dishes that have something for every taste. For everyone who appreciates a cozy atmosphere, excellent drinks, excellent food and warm hospitality, “Die Ambach” is a must. Drinking and service are simply amazing

Ambach has a varied menu. I've already been here for a class reunion, where I was unfortunately very disappointed because there was a buffet with dry rice and vegetables. In my opinion, more could have been achieved here. Especially because of the fairly high flat rate. Now I went there for dinner and ordered a burger with fries and the seasonal lemonade. Unfortunately the avocado burger was very dry and bland and didn't taste like anything. Likewise the Ambach Burger of my companion. Unfortunately, the fries were very salty and the sour cream tasted more like mayonnaise. The lemonade (sunny yellow sin) was super delicious. The ambience is very nice, but it is extremely loud so we could hardly have a conversation. However, this was mainly due to a large group of men who were quite drunk and shouting loudly. All in all we were pretty disappointed with the food, but the homemade lemonade and the service from the waitress was very good.

After stopping by at short notice, 9 of us got a place. The restaurant has a nice ambience, but the background noise is still very loud due to the open restaurant/bar. We didn't eat anything and were only there to drink. The drinks came quickly and reliably and were all very tasty. Still only recommended.

Even though we waited a little longer (it's Friday evening), it was totally worth it. Thumbs up!
