Eight of us had dinner in Ambach today. After seven meals were brought, the waitress wished us bon appetit and left. We pointed out to him that there was still a schnitzel missing. This came when the first people had already finished eating. The kitchen or the service probably forgot the food. Can happen. In my opinion the schnitzel was made in the deep fryer. It was hard. Hunger drove it in. As an apology there was a drink on the house. The service didn't come by during the meal to ask if we liked it or if we would like something more to drink. It seemed quite loveless. The plates had already been cleared even though half of us were still eating. Sorry, but for the prices (for example 6.60 for a 0.4 Spetzi) that are quoted here, I expect more.

Thank you. I was pretty exhausted from the week last night. Besides, I wanted to eat quickly. My expectations were exceeded. The service was friendly and quick. And the dishes were also at the table promptly. Of course, everything was rounded off by the fact that everything was delicious. You should know that I usually leave the salad. I've been to Ambach several times. Location is nice, food is good. We just wanted to reserve a table for my wife's birthday tomorrow by phone, but we were so "shaving off" and referred to the online reservation... No farewell. Nothing. Simply laid out in a rough manner. Here at home, we both suddenly lost our desire for Ambach. Then head to the brewery in Oberursel! We love being there!!!!

Upscale ambience, drinks good but not more, friendly service. Mule served from a cup, standard here and also appealing, but unusual. Toilet equipped with soap dispenser, but not refilled, instead pump dispenser from drugstore. Why?

Since we were passing through with our toddler, we ordered two burgers to take away. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. A big compliment to the lovely service person with short brown hair! We have rarely experienced this before. The burgers tasted very good and the portions were large :) We'll definitely be back :) Our tip to all parents with small children who can't sit still: We took the burgers to the castle pond around the corner (3 minutes on foot) and enjoyed them on a picnic blanket. The little one was able to crawl and watch the ducks and we could eat in peace :)

The Ambach caught my attention as I drove past. I knew I had to go there and I haven't regretted that decision! Yes, the prices are a little higher, but the good quality combined with great service was worth it to me. Very cozy atmosphere, but relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic menu, but a limited selection. Attentive staff, but not intrusive - best mix! The falafel burger with crispy sweet potato fries and the homemade iced tea were great 🤤🤤🤤 Definitely not my last visit 🥰❤️

Very lovingly imaginatively designed exceptional menu The fish soup for only 9"50 was absolutely plentiful and delicious Service and the boss were perfectly friendly and natural!! courteous! The bread that was served was amazing!!!! There were two of me there...we'll be back!

We have been to Ambach several times and mostly we liked it. Unfortunately the quality of the food varies, sometimes great and sometimes not so good - like last time. The fries were in the fryer too long and were too hard. The prices are also pretty steep now. Over 6 euros for sparkling tap water, that's where it ends for us.

The Italian burger, Salciccia style is a hit.

A nice restaurant in Idstein's old town. You will receive a warm welcome here, even if the store has not yet opened. Steffi responds to all wishes. The food is freshly and expertly prepared by the kitchen brigade. Everything was fried to perfection and the ingredients were perfectly balanced. The restaurant is absolutely recommended. Five stars are not enough. Then rather a Michelin star

As a family, we unfortunately had a disappointing experience in this stylish Ambach. First of all, we were shocked at the extremely high prices, well above what would be reasonable. We spent a lot of money and didn't even feel full or satisfied at the end of the evening. The food was a big disappointment. Although the dishes were beautifully presented, the taste lacked sophistication and quality. The portions were small and not in proportion to the prices. It felt like we were paying for the name of the restaurant and the ambience rather than the food itself. Staff was also a problem. We were treated unfriendly and unprofessionally by Steffi. It seemed like she was annoyed that we were taking up her time. No smiles, no courtesy - just bad service. Overall we were very disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. We definitely won't be back and can't recommend it. There are many other places where you can better invest your money to enjoy a good meal and pleasant service.

It's been a while since I've been back to Ambach. It's a great store in terms of furnishings and really centrally located. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of pressure on prices here recently. Everything has become another 2-3 euros more expensive. Charging 8.5 for a house wine is also bordering on cheeky. The staff changes constantly. A look at Kununu shows the reasons straight away. A terrible working atmosphere, which is also noticeable in the employees, most of whom are not even trained. The guests are slowly noticing all of this. When we were there, only 5 guests got lost in the evening. So change bosses as quickly as possible and reduce prices. We are in Idstein and not in Frankfurt City.

There's something else going on.

Unfortunately the prices are completely disproportionate. The Frankfurter Schnitzel for €19.90 comes without a side salad, but with a cup of manageable frozen fries. The schnitzels themselves (two small schnitzels come) are unfortunately much too small in quantity and size and not enough for the price. The service was friendly. Conclusion: Too expensive with too little quality (frozen fries) and too little quantity (schnitzel).

The ambience is really very nice, you can sit nicely here on two floors. The service staff is very attentive and always asked if everything was okay. I had an avocado burger that had plenty of toppings and was very tasty.

The food was very poor, the cheeseburger was initially lukewarm after a 2 hour wait. I don't think this is recommended.

Hasn't changed in 2024 either, the AMBACH is now increasing its prices enormously, cheeseburgers for 20.50 euros? This doesn't have to be the case anymore. Anyone who likes it and can afford it is welcome. For us it's just a shame, and then to argue that it's all organic is ridiculous.

This was our third time here. The food is great, everything! In our case it was probably so full that little things got lost in the service. But this is all in a very human context. I can highly recommend it to medium-sized groups. Thank you for the successful evening in Ambach.

The local Round Table's regular venue. Mood, ambience and service are really very good. Unfortunately, great dishes have disappeared from the menu, but the burgers have become even better.

Idstein's cult restaurant with innovative cuisine and regional products. In Ambach you can also just have a delicious drink and meet up with friends. As soon as it is a little warmer you will find a cozy place in the beer garden under the historic bridge arch of the Idstein Castle

Sehr tolles Lokal aber Preislich sollte man sich mal Gedanken machen. Wir werden es uns überlegen ob man noch mal wiederkommen.

The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is super cozy. We would especially like to thank Steffi for the great hospitality. She does it with an incredible amount of passion and you go home with a smile.

Unfortunately this time it wasn't so great. It's always been expensive, but 20.50 euros for a schnitzel with fries is quite an announcement, and yes, VAT, but that's still almost outrageous. It's also cheaper elsewhere. Above all, because the quality wasn't that great. The schnitzel had a strange aftertaste and was probably simply thrown into a used pan. My daughter felt sick afterwards. Fried potatoes are greasy and no one knows what the sprout decoration should be. We also sat uncomfortable upstairs and my daughter was often bumped into. It was very crowded and loud.

This is a brilliant place. There is Hessian cuisine with a good roulade and the burgers are simply brilliant! Something different: "Beef Short Ribs", perfect for me as a meat eater.

First of all - a super nice shop, with friendly young ladies in service. The burgers were tasty, but not completely warm. Too bad - it can happen. As an apology, we got a round of schnapps on the house. I just want to rate the schnitzel here: That was an absolute no-go, both in terms of taste and the quantity/price. Just under €21 for a tiny, VERY THIN piece of pork. The sauce was also very thin and tasteless. I got a piece of breading maybe 6/7mm thick with a hint of hard meat inside. Sorry, but you can certainly do better with such a beautiful store. I like to write good and honest reviews, but even the €1.50 schnitzel in a roll from Globus has more flavor and is more filling. Prices are significantly higher in this house and yes, either we were unlucky today or we cut corners on quality. If you go out for a burger, you can't go wrong there. But here too 21€ for a burger with small fries.

Delicious food and drinks in a great atmosphere.

Gute Küche, übersichtliche Karte. Spezialität Burger aus Bio-Fleisch, aber auch andere Gerichte (auch vegan) zur Auswahl. Ambiente ist modern rustikal, die Bedienung nett, aufmerksam und schnell. Man kann sich gut unterhalten - Lautstärke rundum ist ok. Tischreservierung online ist zu empfehlen.

The ambience is a mix of rustic and modern. The eye also has something to offer here. And if you feel like partying every now and then, then check the homepage for interesting parties in Ambach. At the end all that remains is the excellent service. Mega cool and attentive staff that will make your stay as nice as possible.

We waited for our order for 50 minutes and then left. They apologized to us, but it would be better to tell us from the start that we should expect a long waiting time. Then we would just look for another place.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, modern aber trotzdem gemütlich eingerichtet. Abwechlungdreiche Auswahl an Speisen; Snacks, Suppen, Burger, Bowls aber auch Tradionelles und eine Riesengetränke Karte. War da bestimmt nicht zum.letzten Mal, wenn ich in der Gegend bin :)

Richtig tolles und trendiges Restaurant. Sehr leckere Burger und eine Wahnsinnig große Auswahl an Getränke. Cocktails, Gin, Highballs, Biere, Apfelweine, Weine....alles was das Herz begehrt oder auch bis dahin nicht kannte. Natürlich auch Alkoholfreie Getränke. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Essen kam trotz kleiner Küche wirklich schnell und war sehr gut.

Wer überteuert mittelmäßig essen möchte, ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Wem dann noch die Fritz Cola Plörre schmeckt, fühlt sich richtig wohl hier. Und wer dann noch auf überfordertes Personal steht, sollte hier Stammgast werden. Ich kann den Hype um diesen Laden nicht verstehen.

Wie immer fühlt man sich im Ambach mega wohl….extrem leckere Speisen…extrem freundliches & aufmerksames Servicepersonal und ein gemütliches, modernes Ambiente….Tolle Location 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Der Koch der diese Beef-Rippchen gezaubert hat, hat einen Nobelpreis verdient. Super leckeres Essen, tolles & sympathisches Personal in stylischem Ambiente mit richtig viel Flair. Wer vorbeischaut sollte in jedem Fall auch den hauseigenen Klumbe-Gin testen.

Wir hatten neulich einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt dort und kommen wieder. Unten vor der beleuchteten Mauer zu sitzen war genau richtig. Essen, Cocktails und Service ebenfalls top. Die Speisekarte deckt viele Geschmäcker ab und wirkt sehr modern.

Tolles Flair Die Vorspeise super! Der Nachtisch lecker! Pommes wunderbar! Der Burger (Falafelburger) naja. Der Paddie war trocken Das Bun war so la la Vielleicht bekommt ihr das demnächst besser hin. Vielleicht mit einer Spicy Sosse, die den trockenen Paddie "mehr Leben schenkt". Das Brot zu Suppe war extrem lecker, umso höher die Enttäuschung über den mittelmäßigen Bun. Traut euch hier einfach mal etwas mehr.

So eine schöne Location, super Service, leckeres Essen. Der Avocado-Burger ist der Burner, unbedingt probieren.

Kleine Speisekarten zu hohen Preisen. Aber das Essen ist sehr lecker. Und das Restaurant ist ein richtiger hinschauer.

Kein besonders einfallsreiches Speisenangebot für Vegetarier/Veganer. Klassisch: Nudeln, Ofenkartoffel, Burger.... so was halt. Die Preise sind wirklich zu hoch und die Portionen meiner Meinung nach zu klein. Ich hatte das saisonale Angebot Tomaten-Brotsalat für 12,90€ und Pappardelle mit Pfifferlingen für sagenhafte 18,90€. Geschmacklich alles OK. Ich finde jedoch nicht, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wirklich passt. Dessertangebot ist "traurig". Nur ein Schokoküchlein oder Eis. Ich mag keine Schokolade und auf Eis hatte ich auch nicht sonderlich Lust. Schade. Was aber echt gut hier ist, sind die alkoholfreien Drinks. Es gibt eine schöne Auswahl an alkoholfreien Apertifs, Spritz, Cocktails/Mischgetränke und klar: Bier. Preislich zahlt man dafür 7 - 8€. Ich glaube Bier lag bei 4€. Übrigens ist es oben schön zu sitzen, wegen der großen Fenster.

Hat uns leider gar nicht geschmeckt. Es ist sehr teuer und man hat den Eindruck, dass es von seinem guten Ruf lebt. Also wir konnten jedenfalls nicht nachvollziehen, warum es so gehypt wird.

Hier gibt es für jeden was! Breit gefächerte Küche im tollen Ambiente mit sensationellem Gastgeber und super Service! Wir kommen gerne wieder :) am Wochenende definitiv reservieren!!!

Vlees was prima, maar de salade was zo bij elkaar geraapt en in een te klein schaaltje en het was geen dressing, maar het leek wel soep. De blaadjes sla waren verlept daarin.

Es ist immer wieder schön hier zu essen. Es werden viele regionale Produkte verwendet. Das Preis- /Leistungsverhältnis ist top.

Sehr gemütlich, ein bisschen laut. Hatte den besten Hamburger bislang. Wir hatten auch ein veganes Gericht und einen Steak dabei, alles super lecker, ebenso die Desserts! Alkoholfrei Aperitifs fanden wir auch sehr gut. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und freundlich! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Burger sind gut, Pommes ok. Süßkartoffelpommes lecker. Salat eklig mit alt schmeckenden Möhren, wenig Fantasie aber einer guten Joghurtsauce. Insgesamt sehr wenig auf dem Teller, insbesondere beim „großen“ Salat. Espresso Martini war lauwarm, so etwas geht bei diesen Preisen gar nicht. Negroni ok, aber mehr Eis, als Drink… Das Personal duzt einen sofort (bin ich bei Ikea??) Schick aufgemacht, leider nix dahinter… Fazit : kein must go, es gibt weitaus besseres in der Gegend.

mein Schnitzel war viel zu teuer für die Kantinenqualität mit 18.50€ . Das Fleisch war weich und trocken in einer dicken Panade und die Bratkartoffeln waren matschig und nicht angebraten. Der Service war freundlich und gut.

Restaurant war proben voll komplett ausgebucht viel zu viel angenommen Getränke kamen schnell bis wir essen bestellen konnten verging eine halbe stunde bis das essen dann kam verging eine Stunde der Haxenbuerger war für 18.50 Euro überteuert Portion zu klein die Kaes Spätzle waren viel zu lange im Wasser und matschig das essen war Reinfall Der Besitzer spielte lieber Cloun an der Tür als sich um die Küche zu kümmern Das war ein ABEND MIT X

Sehr tolles Ambiente, sehr positiv finde ich das man direkt persönlich empfangen wird. Die Almkarte ist einfach toll, bisher hat alles super geschmeckt. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend mit Freunden, wir hatten viel Spaß und dank DJ Elias viel getanzt.

Eine moderne, gemütliche Location mit sehr nettem Personal. Essen ist leider überteuert und weder vom Geschmack noch Anrichtung/ Portionsgröße überzeugend. Z.B. ein Wildgulasch in einer Suppentasse mit drei Plätzchengroßen harten/ kalten Serviettenknödeln für 20,90 einfach eine Abzogge! Cocktails sind gut aber auch weder schön angerichtet noch in einer dem Preis angemessenen Größe..... Ein Bierchen dort trinken, wegen dem netten Ambiente ist O.K. ,mehr aber auch nicht. Da nützen auch Märchen auf der Toilette nichts mehr! Sehr Schade, wäre gerne öfter hingegangen......

Wir kommen immer wieder gerne ins Ambach und egal, wer dabei ist, allen schmeckt es und alle sind begeistert von der Location. Es wird Wert auf regionale Produkte gelegt, die Qualität ist erstklassig und die Preis-Leistung stimmt. Die Auswahl an Getränken ist sensationell. Also wir lieben den Laden!

Genügend Auswahl auch an veganen und vegetarischen Gerichten. Vorspeise und Hauptspeise sehr lecker zubereitet. Die selbstgemachten Getränke waren hervorragend. Sehr freundlicher Service und auch nicht Aufdringlich. Preis- Leistungsverhälnis stimmt.
