Was there with my wife for the date night. The food was great, the ambience was great and an all-round successful evening.

Everything was super great and delicious.

Delicious, high-quality food, friendly service, nice location - high prices, relatively high volume, a bit of searching for a parking space required.

The burgers were extremely tasty. The fries were dark from fat (drowned in fat) and too salty. The cyclist only came with a limo upon request. At the beginning we had to wait 10 minutes before we were allowed to place the order. Only 1 toilet for the entire restaurant? Service was very friendly. 👍 Cheeseburger with fries that weren't fries cost €20.80. A bit steep in terms of quality.

I was there yesterday with a friend for dinner and a drink. We didn't have a reservation, but we were shown straight to a table. The food and drinks were really tasty and good value for money. Unfortunately the service was a bit slow. We sat with empty glasses for at least 20 minutes until the waitress came to us (after we made ourselves known) and we could order something new. It's also a shame that the waitresses talk loudly to each other at the table or between the tables😢. You can have a conversation, but you should pay attention to what and where.

If you want a perfect “Mexican” or a creative cocktail, you’ve come to the right place. The range of beers is impressive across the board: from classic varieties to changing special beers on tap - there is variety on offer here that will delight every beer lover. The quality is first class, freshly tapped and always at the perfect temperature. The food also deserves a mention: the cuisine is simply top class. The changing seasonal menu regularly surprises with new, creative and delicious dishes that have something for every taste. For everyone who appreciates a cozy atmosphere, excellent drinks, excellent food and warm hospitality, “Die Ambach” is a must. A 5/5 star location that enriches not only Idstein but the entire surrounding area. Conclusion: A crystal clear A+!

Drinking and service are simply amazing

Ambach has a varied menu. I've already been here for a class reunion, where I was unfortunately very disappointed because there was a buffet with dry rice and vegetables. In my opinion, more could have been achieved here. Especially because of the fairly high flat rate. Now I went there for dinner and ordered a burger with fries and the seasonal lemonade. Unfortunately the avocado burger was very dry and bland and didn't taste like anything. Likewise the Ambach Burger of my companion. Unfortunately, the fries were very salty and the sour cream tasted more like mayonnaise. The lemonade (sunny yellow sin) was super delicious. The ambience is very nice, but it is extremely loud so we could hardly have a conversation. However, this was mainly due to a large group of men who were quite drunk and shouting loudly. All in all we were pretty disappointed with the food, but the homemade lemonade and the service from the waitress was very good.

After stopping by at short notice, 9 of us got a place. The restaurant has a nice ambience, but the background noise is still very loud due to the open restaurant/bar. We didn't eat anything and were only there to drink. The drinks came quickly and reliably and were all very tasty. Still only recommended.

Even though we waited a little longer (it's Friday evening), it was totally worth it. Thumbs up!

The Ambach in Idstein is always worth a visit. Changing menu with seasonal and regional specialties (in addition to the traditional long-running burgers + farmer's fries), a nice selection of beers (changing IPA), nice people in a modern but warm atmosphere and a highly motivated team (Thanks Rosie. !!). Sunday evenings...that's how it works. Food incomplete, service understaffed but very nice and tried hard. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. Too bad.

Top restaurant, I can only recommend the burgers and sweet potato fries. The waiting time for the food to arrive is a bit long, but of course that could also be due to the many visitors Addition 2024: Waiters are underqualified. The food is no longer what it once was. Every 5 minutes we are asked whether we want something to drink or something. That's annoying.

Eight of us had dinner in Ambach today. After seven meals were brought, the waitress wished us bon appetit and left. We pointed out to him that there was still a schnitzel missing. This came when the first people had already finished eating. The kitchen or the service probably forgot the food. Can happen. In my opinion the schnitzel was made in the deep fryer. It was hard. Hunger drove it in. As an apology there was a drink on the house. The service didn't come by during the meal to ask if we liked it or if we would like something more to drink. It seemed quite loveless. The plates had already been cleared even though half of us were still eating. Sorry, but for the prices (for example 6.60 for a 0.4 Spetzi) that are quoted here, I expect more.

Thank you. I was pretty exhausted from the week last night. Besides, I wanted to eat quickly. My expectations were exceeded. The service was friendly and quick. And the dishes were also at the table promptly. Of course, everything was rounded off by the fact that everything was delicious. You should know that I usually leave the salad. I've been to Ambach several times. Location is nice, food is good. We just wanted to reserve a table for my wife's birthday tomorrow by phone, but we were so "shaving off" and referred to the online reservation... No farewell. Nothing. Simply laid out in a rough manner. Here at home, we both suddenly lost our desire for Ambach. Then head to the brewery in Oberursel! We love being there!!!!

Upscale ambience, drinks good but not more, friendly service. Mule served from a cup, standard here and also appealing, but unusual. Toilet equipped with soap dispenser, but not refilled, instead pump dispenser from drugstore. Why?

Since we were passing through with our toddler, we ordered two burgers to take away. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. A big compliment to the lovely service person with short brown hair! We have rarely experienced this before. The burgers tasted very good and the portions were large :) We'll definitely be back :) Our tip to all parents with small children who can't sit still: We took the burgers to the castle pond around the corner (3 minutes on foot) and enjoyed them on a picnic blanket. The little one was able to crawl and watch the ducks and we could eat in peace :)

The Ambach caught my attention as I drove past. I knew I had to go there and I haven't regretted that decision! Yes, the prices are a little higher, but the good quality combined with great service was worth it to me. Very cozy atmosphere, but relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic menu, but a limited selection. Attentive staff, but not intrusive - best mix! The falafel burger with crispy sweet potato fries and the homemade iced tea were great 🤤🤤🤤 Definitely not my last visit 🥰❤️

We have been to Ambach several times and mostly we liked it. Unfortunately the quality of the food varies, sometimes great and sometimes not so good - like last time. The fries were in the fryer too long and were too hard. The prices are also pretty steep now. Over 6 euros for sparkling tap water, that's where it ends for us.

The Italian burger, Salciccia style is a hit.

A nice restaurant in Idstein's old town. You will receive a warm welcome here, even if the store has not yet opened. Steffi responds to all wishes. The food is freshly and expertly prepared by the kitchen brigade. Everything was fried to perfection and the ingredients were perfectly balanced. The restaurant is absolutely recommended. Five stars are not enough. Then rather a Michelin star

It was a very nice evening with super nice and attentive service. The tartar you make yourself is super delicious. The burgers are awesome. Great cheese and avocado burger with a delicious, aromatic salad. The prices are completely okay.

It's been a while since I've been back to Ambach. It's a great store in terms of furnishings and really centrally located. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of pressure on prices here recently. Everything has become another 2-3 euros more expensive. Charging 8.5 for a house wine is also bordering on cheeky. The staff changes constantly. A look at Kununu shows the reasons straight away. A terrible working atmosphere, which is also noticeable in the employees, most of whom are not even trained. The guests are slowly noticing all of this. When we were there, only 5 guests got lost in the evening. So change bosses as quickly as possible and reduce prices. We are in Idstein and not in Frankfurt City.

As a family, we unfortunately had a disappointing experience in this stylish Ambach. First of all, we were shocked at the extremely high prices, well above what would be reasonable. We spent a lot of money and didn't even feel full or satisfied at the end of the evening. The food was a big disappointment. Although the dishes were beautifully presented, the taste lacked sophistication and quality. The portions were small and not in proportion to the prices. It felt like we were paying for the name of the restaurant and the ambience rather than the food itself. Staff was also a problem. We were treated unfriendly and unprofessionally by Steffi. It seemed like she was annoyed that we were taking up her time. No smiles, no courtesy - just bad service. Overall we were very disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. We definitely won't be back and can't recommend it. There are many other places where you can better invest your money to enjoy a good meal and pleasant service.

There's something else going on.

Unfortunately the prices are completely disproportionate. The Frankfurter Schnitzel for €19.90 comes without a side salad, but with a cup of manageable frozen fries. The schnitzels themselves (two small schnitzels come) are unfortunately much too small in quantity and size and not enough for the price. The service was friendly. Conclusion: Too expensive with too little quality (frozen fries) and too little quantity (schnitzel).

Despite the restaurant being full, the food came very quickly. Very good quality, top service and original ambience. We like being in Ambach

The ambience is really very nice, you can sit nicely here on two floors. The service staff is very attentive and always asked if everything was okay. I had an avocado burger that had plenty of toppings and was very tasty.

The food was very poor, the cheeseburger was initially lukewarm after a 2 hour wait. I don't think this is recommended.
