Amara Döner Holzofen Pizza in Weinheim

The guys cook really delicious food. It's a cozy place where you can sit with family, friends, and children. They also have activities for school kids, and there's a restroom. The service is fast. We order from here very often. The only downside for me is that they don't have large pizza bags for takeout. Also, kids always get free lollipops. Otherwise, everything is great.

Solid döner kebab, great service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. The döner was tasty, but there's still room for improvement in terms of flavor. The pizzas 🍕 are amazing.

Edit: I won't be going there again. Too many bad experiences. I waited two hours for delivery, and then a salami pizza arrived with no sauce—basically just dough, a pile of cheese, and salami. It tasted awful! If you order a pizza with multiple toppings, there's practically nothing on it because they're cutting corners, but the prices keep going up. Never again. Negative reviews will be deleted. 👍

Super cozy atmosphere, outstanding pizzas (I highly recommend the doner kebab and the arugula pizzas). We felt very comfortable. The staff are friendly and always greet you with a big, warm smile. We also noticed some lovely touches from the owner's children (see pictures). We'll definitely be back! :)

Good food, friendly service. We often go there with our party regulars and are served at our table. The food is good, the portions are large, and the prices are perfectly reasonable. The restaurant itself is typical of a snack bar – not a fancy place, of course – but there's plenty of seating and it's always clean.

We always order for delivery, so I can only review the food. And I want to say that it's the best doner kebab I've ever eaten. The meat is very juicy and, together with the light sauce, tastes so good.

They also have food options for vegans, and the dough is homemade. A real insider tip! 🫶

Due to the good reviews, I chose Amara for my doner kebab during my visit to Weinheim. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The sauce tasted artificial, and the quality of the chicken wasn't the best. A little more fresh and crisp salad with the coleslaw would have significantly improved the doner kebab. I've had much better doner kebabs. My conclusion: Unfortunately, you can't trust good reviews...

Absolutely fantastic. The kebab melts in your mouth like a sugar cube. The composition paired with the absolutely fantastic sideboard is a feast for the eyes. The regulars' table is always free and you will be served no matter what condition you are in. First cream!

The kebab was very poorly distributed. 90% of the meat was left at the bottom, with no salad or sauce. When I spoke to the employee about getting extra salad, he was extremely rude and said I ate the salad first so now all that's left is meat. After a lot of back and forth, he gave me some salad on a plate. I have never experienced such rude service anywhere. In my opinion, such employees have no place in the catering industry.

The food just doesn't taste good. The kebab/Yufka kebab is tasteless. You don't taste any meat and it's just mushy. The pizza is (of course) without pork ham, but with some kind of poultry ham. The pizza box here is probably tastier than its contents.

Very good food especially the Yufka and pizzas. Everything is fresh, hygienic and reasonably priced. Many regular customers and a constant occupancy show that things are right in front of and behind the counter. The operating family is very friendly, professional and serious. Families are welcome here. The rolls for the kebab and the flatbreads for the yufka are FRESHLY baked, you can taste it.

I definitely imagine a cozy evening with delicious pizza and salad differently. The delivery time was well over 90 minutes. After a call on site, the answer was blunt with the following wording: “We're under pressure here, a lot going on, 5 minutes” - that could certainly be nicer. Of course, after almost 2 hours, the pizza arrived only lukewarm to cold. As if that wasn't enough, the pizza was very sparingly topped and the edge was partially burnt. Here, too, we are not at the end of the story: There was hair in the pizza box. After another call on site, the answer was as follows: "And what are you calling me now?" - Sorry, but I'm out of there guys - that has nothing to do with customer-oriented work. We are all human and mistakes happen, but the summation of this evening was just a bit too much of a good thing.

The snack bar is inconspicuous from the outside. However, the food is delicious and the prices are still reasonable. If you like pizza and kebab, then it's best to try it here. The double hamburger is also delicious.

Durchschnittlicher, solider Dönerladen... Nix besonderes, aber kann man machen

Lieferung immerhin recht pünktlich nach 80 Minuten; leider merkwürdig süßlicher Geschmack; Döner offensichtlich länger im Ofen warmgehalten (komplett aufgeweicht); Yufkateig eher ein luftiger Pfannkuchen; Ich bestelle hier nichts mehr. Hoffe anderen schmeckt das Essen so oder das war ein Einzelfall. Viel Erfolg weiterhin.
