The food and home-brewed beer are very good. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Beautiful beer garden that invites you to linger, especially on summer evenings.

There were four of us. 2 people for the first time. The order was received quickly. 3 meat dishes and 1x pizza. There were 2 salads for the meat dishes 1x was missing. Would come soon. Then came 2 meat dishes and the pizza. After about 5 minutes we decided to get started even though one dish was still missing. The service person saw that we were still missing a meal and came to the kitchen after asking and apologized. The order had not been seen but was now in progress, as was the salad. The 4th dish came when the others were finished. The missing salad came when everyone was ready. As an apology we were offered a Marsala. The food was good. The full amount was charged. The first and last time for us.

The ambience was neat, although the rose on the table was past its prime and bowed to the floor, the candle was also left out. The service was also friendly and accommodating, but unfortunately I have to deduct points for the quality of the food. Unfortunately, my partner's platter of fine fish was only snack level, small thin pieces of fish 2mx7cm were overcooked, hard as a rock and when asked, it was then identified as plaice. The specially ordered vegetables, carelessly arranged instead of potatoes, round off the rather negative overall picture. So, a platter of fine fish for 22 euros looks different. This was also communicated to the service staff, who wanted to pass this topic on, but there was no response throughout the evening. My grill plate for 25.50 was good and I got envious looks from the two table mates who first had to come to terms with their disappointment with the fine fish platter. However, if you look more closely, the almost 26 euros for 3 thin slices of meat with fried potato slices is a very steep price. The side salad was used sparingly with dressing; it seemed to me like a ruminant on the mountain pasture. So overall the three of us were disappointed with the overall quality. Therefore, I can only give a small recommendation here. The home-brewed beer is undoubtedly delicious. My 0.75 liter water bottle said still water, but the contents were classic, as I had ordered. Was there a soda stream in use here? This is not intended to be a discredit as a whole, just my honest experience on site. Maybe the other dishes are better quality. Location looked nice, toilets clean. Difficult to reach for women with walking difficulties as the women's toilets are on the upper floor and can only be reached via stairs. So overall I can only give this 3 stars. However, we will no longer include this location in our restaurant pool and will no longer visit it for meals.

Burger was okay, but burger patty too firm. Could it be from refrigeration? Fries great. And the beer was very good.

Unfortunately the food wasn't good. Fine fish platter with burnt fish...doesn't taste good!

A drinkable beer. The staff is completely overwhelmed. Anyone who brings drinks can't clear up under any circumstances. The food was the worst disgrace our group experienced. The fish with a lot of aftertaste The bruschetta chopped garlic on a 5cm thick pizza bread. The meat is inedible, dry and tough. The burger has the consistency of an eraser. It wasn't just at our table that half of it remained on the plates!

Great beer garden with delicious home-brewed beer. Top service was there before the official opening. We just wanted to drink a delicious beer, the master brewer was still there and said no problem, beer 🍺🍺 always works. Always my pleasure.

We came to this restaurant at short notice and unexpectedly. At first we thought it was bourgeois, then the card came with Italian on the front and then good bourgeois on the back. We were more than surprised by the very friendly staff and the very good food. If we are in the corner again, we will definitely come back. Thank you for the lovely 7th wedding anniversary evening.

Here you can sit nice and quiet in the beer garden, enjoy the homemade Marienbräu and eat delicious food.

Ate very good pizza and drank a delicious light beer from our own brewery. They also brought a generous amount of dark beer to the table for us to try. The staff was extremely friendly.

One of the coziest beer gardens in Jever and the surrounding area, the service is friendly and charming and definitely has a smile for the guest. The plaice and the lettuce are both qualitatively and quantitatively recommended, so kudos to the guys in the kitchen for mastering their craft. Definitely again and definitely more often.

When the weather is nice, it's great to sit under the old chestnut tree in the beer garden. The scampi was very good.

1.5 hour waiting time despite registration. Fried potatoes partly burnt. 7 year old children were very impatient while waiting.

On a Thursday we sat in the well-filled beer garden in sunny temperatures. The service was very attentive. We had the recommendation from house number 53, Cordon Bleu and a pasta dish as well as the starter plate. Good selection of drinks, the house beer is also tasty!

Nice, cozy restaurant with very friendly service. Even if the name suggests classic German fare, the cuisine has a more Mediterranean, Italian touch. The food was delicious, but the meat was in the pan a little too long for my taste. The beer is also delicious.

I ordered pork medallions and fried potatoes. Unfortunately, the medallions were too worn and therefore tight. The fried potatoes were overcooked and tasted slightly sour. The dark home-brewed beer is very tasty and the staff was also very friendly.

The staff is super friendly. Unfortunately, things are different when it comes to food. Unfortunately, the fish and meat dishes at our table were fried to death. The house beer didn't have any bad taste, but the carbonation was completely missing.

The waitress were very nice. Unfortunately the kitchen seemed a bit overwhelmed. Side salad was only added upon request. Unfortunately, the tomatoes were not removed from the burger either. The home-brewed beer was delicious.

Contrary to what the name suggests, the dishes are more Mediterranean. But that's not a tragedy because everything tasted very good. Portions very sufficient 👍🏻 Cozy beer garden with home-brewed beer, light and dark. Very clear drinking recommendation!! The food is generally good. The ham and salami pizza was quite flat and dry. As a precaution, I didn't eat the champions. The fruiting bodies were shriveled and the lamellae looked unappetizingly black. Not dangerous but not pretty either The stands advertising Christmas beer are still on the tables. Various desserts are offered at the back. The price is around 7.90 for an industrially manufactured cake and the performance is, in my opinion, very different. In any case, my guests were very disappointed The service was nice and attentive.

Beautiful ambience, delicious food

For us this restaurant was disappointing. My dish, a garden salad with fish and dressing, contained a long black hair. After I complained about the food, I got a new meal and the waitress asked me if I wanted a schnapps. Since I don't drink alcohol, she just replied okay and that she was sorry, without perhaps offering an alternative. The fish in my meal was drowned in oil, totally mushy and smelled extremely. The scampi was thickly dipped in flour and soaked with oil. The garden salad consisted only of iceberg lettuce, 3 leaves of arugula, half a tomato and two slices of cucumber. We definitely won't eat here again and won't recommend it to anyone else.

Was eating there for the second time and this time under new management. Very tasty food and delicious house beer. Service is very nice, friendly young ladies who are very attentive and give you good advice. I'm already looking forward to my next vacation so I can go there again. Lots going on, so reservations are recommended.

February 18, 2023. We were back in the old town brewery today, under new management, eating and were positively surprised. The ambience remained unchanged, nice and cozy. The menu offers Mediterranean and German dishes, there is something for every taste. The portions are generous. The service is very friendly and attentive. Not a long wait. The beer brewed there tastes really good. The restaurant was very busy, so reservations are recommended. It was delicious and the atmosphere was very cozy. The servers were very friendly and attentive.

The Altstadtbrauerei is a very cozy restaurant with a beautiful, shaded beer garden and its own brewery. The homemade beer tastes very tasty - especially in the beer garden - as do the food (steaks, fish, pizza, pasta, salad plates, etc.). What should be highlighted is the attentive, very nice and courteous service staff. My wife and I always enjoy coming there.

Sehr freundliches Mitarbeiter. Zuvorkommend und geduldig. Das Essen was gut es gibt weiter nichts auszusetzten. Wir wahren mit zu acht und alles waren zufrieden. Das Hausbier ist auch sehr zu empfehlen.

Waren bereits 2 mal im neuen Marienbräu. Der Service und das Ambiente waren wirklich top. Hatten drinnen eine gemütliche Ecke und auch im Biergarten ist es im Sommer sehr schön. Geschmacklich war es gut. Bruschetta hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Schnitzel war in Ordning und der Vorspeisenteller war auch gut. Hier kann man auf jeden Fall gut Essen gehen. Für den fünften Stern fehlt aber das gewisse geschmackliche Etwas. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leckeres Essen, angenehmes Ambiente. Das eigene Bier ist lecker. Preise passen auch… auf jedenfall einen Besuch wert.

Waren heute Abend da mit 10.personen war sehr sehr lecker aber es dauerte zu lange leider.

Essen 4 Sterne warum? Essen war lauwarm, aber wir waren nun auch 12 Leute vor Ort zum Verzehr. Die Teller waren kalt. Service : immer startklar Ambiente: super eingerichtet 16.12.23 Mit der Kegel-Gruppe essen gewesen. Dieses mal volle 5 Sterne.....

Wir waren dort als Gruppe und haben a la Carte bestellt. Das Essen wurde trotz vieler verschiedener Speisen zeitgleich serviert. Es war geschmacklich sehr lecker und großzügig portioniert. Auch der Service und das Ambiente waren super. Da auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passte kann ich das Lokal ruhigen Gewissens empfehlen.

Ein gutes Bier und lecker gegessen

Wir haben in diesem Sommer das Marienbräu als ein bodenständiges und schmackhaftes Lokal kennengelernt. Leider sind wir dort letzte Woche mit mehreren Freunden gewesen und dieses Mal stand das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr im Einklang. Für diese Preise hatten wir wesentlich mehr Qualität erwartet. Der Salat, nur Eisbergsalat, war minimalistisch angerichtet, die Hauptspeisen zum Teil kalt und so gut wie nicht gewürzt und das Tiramisu hätte man wahrscheinlich im Discounter besser schmeckend bekommen.

Good food but very slow! Took 2 hrs to get our mains. With a young baby I had to take my food home because it was taking way too long.

Wir haben das Brauhaus durch Zufall entdeckt. Ein echter Geheimtip. Super leckere Biere ein Top Service und dann die Erklärungen rund um den Brauprozess haben den Besuch zu einem echten Event werden lassen. Eine schöner kleiner Biergarten rundet das Haus ab. In jedem Fall einen Besuch wert. Liegt etwas abseits und will entdeckt werden.

Wir waren zu viert im Restaurant. Der Service war sehr nett u. aufmerksam. Das Lokal ist auch recht ansprechend eingerichtet u. hat durch das selbstgebraute Bier eine besondere Attraktivität aufzuweisen. Die Speisen selber waren jedoch nicht ganz so toll - das Fleisch war geschmacksmäßig in Ordnung, jedoch z. T. nur noch lauwarm. Die Bratkartoffeln waren zu sehr durchgebraten (fast wie Kartoffelchips). Der vorab gereichte Salat hingegen war "knackig" u. schmeckte allen gut. Die Hauptsache ist nun einmal der Gesamteindruck der verzehrten Mahlzeiten, somit vergebe ich hier insgesamt nur drei Sterne.

Gemütlicher Biergarten und leckeres Bier! Der Service ist Top. Wir haben hier mittags ein leckeres Sommerbier getrunken und eine leckere Krabbensuppe gegessen. Die Riesenbrezel hat geschmacklich noch Luft nach oben. Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir wollten eigentlich heute nur ein leckeres Fassbier trinken gehen, aber die Speisekarte und das lecker aussehende Essen haben uns das Wasser im Mund zusammen laufen lassen. Das Essen war seeehr lecker und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut. Der Service ist super, alle sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen definitiv bald wieder...

Lange nicht so eine schönen Abend gehabt. Das Essen war mega lecker, das in der hauseigenen Brauerei gebraute Bier hat super geschmeckt, der Service war top und nicht zu vergessen das tolle Ambiente im Biergarten bei Sonnenschein unter der großen Kastanie. Ich komme bestimmt wieder.
