Best Swiss sausage salad I've ever tasted. Surprisingly had stuffed pepperoni and champion, as well as a zucchini slice and of course a cucumber slice and tomato. Served with Palatinate friendliness 😉. Gladly again,🥰

Update August 2024: We were here again and were very satisfied again. The food tasted very good, the portions were plentiful and the service was once again super nice. Reservations in advance are recommended as it is really busy here. The beer garden is super cozy and partly covered. We'll definitely be back! Very tasty food! Attentive and friendly waitresses. Nice atmosphere in the courtyard (we just sat outside and ate). You can have a good time here.

In the entire region the restaurant with the most typical Palatinate cuisine, good quality, quantity and price, just as we have always known it. Palatinate specialties combined with entrepreneurial spirit - very courageous; Here a hotel was basically built around an old train and you can also spend the night in wagons. The food is definitely worth a visit and perhaps an overnight stay.

Superschöne Location, sehr sauber, mit kleinem Kinderspielplatz. Personal ist sehr aufmerksam, Essen ist super und dauert nicht lange. Ausreichend Platz, auch für kurzentschlossene, nicht wie andere Restaurants im Tal, bei denen man Tage im Voraus reservieren muss oder die es entgegen der Angaben auf den ganzen gastro-seiten gar nicht mehr gibt. Sehr guter Gesamteindruck.

This evening we ate at the Bahnhöf'l for the first time. The food was very good: - Salad with warm schnitzel strips - Schnitzel with cream sauce - Beef salad with fried potatoes - and the chili cheese sauce 🌶️🤩👍🏼 Everything 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

We were not enthusiastic guests at the Reichenbach holiday station at the weekend, but were also able to enjoy the excellent regional cuisine and the excellent service at the Altes Bahnhöf'l restaurant on two evenings. The service was top, the employees were very friendly and attentive, the very tasty meals, for 11 people, were served at the same time, special requests were courteously fulfilled, the price/performance ratio was so good that you can really feel at home!

It is by far the best restaurant and hotel I have ever been to. The staff is super nice. The hotel is a real 5 star ⭐️ hotel, the beautiful old design is so well suited to the location, everything just fits. Breakfast is sensational just sitting on the train and eating. You can also eat very well in the restaurant because the prices are reasonable.

I stopped in for lunch after a bike ride in the area. The farmer bratwurst with sauerkraut was absolutely delicious.

Besser mit Reservierung...aber wir bekamen trotz Spitzenwetter Donnerstag Abend ohne reservieren einen Platz für 2 draußen im Halbschatten. Schneller Service, gutes Bier, gute offene Weine (Knipser und ein st. Laurent für EUR 7,90 bzw 6,90), riesige Portionen und sehr schmackhaft. Wir teilten uns warmen Ziegenkäse im Speckmantel, dann Leberknödel mit Kraut bzw Pfälzer Platte (je ein Leberknödel, Scheibe Saumagen und ganze Bratwurst, dazu ebenfalls Sauerkraut). Einzige Enttäuschung das "Brot" - labberiger Art Baguette Teig mit ein paar Körnern aussenrum. Ansonsten alles prima und seinen Preis wert.

Sehr leckerer Salat. Riesenportion mit viel Fleisch und leckerem Dip. Sauber und gepflegt. Gemütliche Atmosphäre und freundlicher Service.

We ate there on Saturday evening - even though we didn't have a reservation and the place was packed, we were still able to get a table inside. We were served very friendly and courteously - despite the large number of guests - and felt very welcome. The food was really good - we were absolutely satisfied and are already looking forward to the next visit - would be happy to come back at any time -

Update after a year: Back in the Palatinate Forest and back in the train station. Again, very tasty food, roast venison and tagliatelle with prawns, first cream, you just eat really well here. We always enjoy coming here. Food was really good and plentiful, very nice service, reasonably priced, would love to come back

Came here twice to eat because it was so good. The service can't be beat, everyone! But the junior manager in particular tried to look after us in a friendly and courteous manner.

On our return trip we spent the last night here and of course also had dinner at the train station. Fast and attentive service staff, very tasty food and the Bahnhof Hotel is a real specialty. Super great and modern rooms with every comfort. Everything is furnished and lovingly decorated in the spirit of the railway. An absolute must for railway fans. We will come back.

We were there last week. After we sat outside and waited for about 15 minutes, an employee finally came. However, just to inform us that the shop is closed, only open for participants in the closed society. No problem at all, but we would have saved a lot of time if there had been a small notice right at the entrance.

Very cozy courtyard and you can stay outside longer in the evenings as there are radiant heaters above the tables. The food was delicious, honest, home-style cooking. Price performance fits! Keep it up, really recommended. We'll be back 😊 By the way, the new hotel next door is really awesome. Respect.

The four of us stayed in the so-called "engine shed" for 5 days (with breakfast). In the evening we ate twice in the restaurant. The hotel and the engine shed are so lovingly furnished and decorated with attention to detail. You can tell everywhere that the owner has created a project close to his heart and is implementing it with passion. The restaurant is always very busy and a reservation is almost essential. The quality is very good and the portions are reasonable for the price. Some of us have been coming from the Baltic Sea to the Palatinate for 30 years and we will definitely come here more often.

We were there, the food was great, the ambience was great and the service was perfect. The meal went like this, large portions, the schnitzel in the salad was quite good, the rum steak was well fried. But somehow it wasn't to our taste

Unfortunately I had a long hair in the salad. When I complained, there wasn't even an apology, just "no one blonde is working in the kitchen today"...what am I supposed to think? My husband ordered ice cream without cream and got it with it. Original sound from the service team "That's the way it is now, he should think away from it"... But you will still be taken seriously?? Food was okay, nothing outstanding. I can't say anything about the sleeping arrangements.

Following a recommendation, the four of us came here spontaneously, shortly before the kitchen closed. We were warmly welcomed and our food was delicious. Service very friendly, professional and accommodating. We'll be happy to come back when we get the chance....

Great, highly recommended, this is one of the best restaurants in the area. It is very cozy and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We are happy to be guests. Prices are fair and the food is plentiful.

It was great value for money as a craftsman on assembly work, as there is also a changing daily menu. Service was quick, courteous and polite, the ambience was really to be missed and the beer garden, which was partly covered, was really chic with a lot of attention to detail! 2 years later it's still exactly the same! I didn't have a room.

In my opinion, the food is good, home-style. Nothing bad about it. Nevertheless, everyone should form their own opinion. The store was full to the brim. It's best to make a reservation.

We had dinner in the restaurant. There are two vegan dishes. I only tried the Mediterranean vegetable plate, it was delicious. Another day I asked for vegan potatoes with asparagus, it wasn't on the menu, but it was fulfilled without any problems. My husband's fish dishes were also very good, zander and trout Müllerin. The service was always very nice. It is appreciated if you book a table in advance.

Three stars, the drinks and the food were on the table very quickly. The younger waitress was friendly and accommodating. However, we were disappointed by the older service. Let's call it "very grand" in our Allgäu dialect. It's a shame, the service could have scored more points and therefore achieved more stars overall. The vegan meal with potatoes and vegetables was extremely fatty. The horseradish was way too weak. No sign of spiciness. Not to forget, the sauerkraut in the Palatinate plate was cold. After heating it up in the microwave within a very short time, there was no apology. I would have expected. We wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

The old train station is THE destination for every hiker, climbers from the Palatinate Forest, families with children, guests with dogs and those making last-minute decisions! The portions are really good, the prices are great and the quality is very high. As a railway worker, my heart blooms with joy at the many small details and the chance to spend the night in railway carriages. We are here now on our 1st wedding anniversary and, as we are on the evening of our wedding. It's just a great location!!

I give 5 stars to all points. I'm just leaving out the rooms because we didn't stay overnight. We had dinner with 6 people. Incidentally, on the same day as the people who gave bad reviews. Like her, I had a Cordon Bleu, which was great. The waitresses (a young team) despite the restaurant being fully booked, were all very friendly and attentive. We felt very comfortable. The food came promptly and without any errors despite special requests. Everything perfect. Keep it up. We cannot confirm the bad reviews. They were probably notorious morons who made everything miserable. Don't let this discourage you. Your concept of the train station is brilliant, I'm completely amazed. I just say "Great". Had dinner with the whole family. There weren't many things, despite being offered on the menu. Cordon Bleu wasn't cooked through, which isn't exactly appetizing when it comes to pork. Ate less than half and had to pay for the entire dish. Many sauces for the other dishes were delivered incorrectly. The junior manager supposedly knew about it and didn't even come to Tesch or meet us. Never again

Dishes that are on the menu are not available despite ordering. Bad service overall, no accommodation despite several incorrectly delivered orders (e.g. wrong sauces, etc.). Not even an apology from the junior manager even though, according to the service person, he was present in the restaurant and knew about it. Not recommended, definitely not another visit.

Here you can have a wonderful holiday, with the children in one of the converted wagons, in the wonderful locomotive shed, in the huge holiday apartment or in the extraordinary hotel. Everything with loving details from the railway sector...everything is clean, tidy and makes you feel good. Have a delicious meal in the restaurant in the evening. Hiking, walking, cycling, swimming pool nearby... very nice owners and employees... everything perfect... happy again and again...

We went for my birthday. One night in this beautiful new hotel. We received a very warm welcome and were also shown the sauna. It's unique. Everything is very clean. A great breakfast buffet. The rooms are very well equipped, very well insulated. It's quiet in the carriage. You can also have breakfast in the carriages. So a very unusual, great idea. There is also a small bar in the train carriages where you can help yourself. We really liked it and would like to come back at any time

Delicious food in a quaint building. We got a table on a Sunday evening without a reservation, but apparently we were very lucky, the restaurant was very busy. You could tell from the service that it had been a long day, but the service was generally warm and friendly. The soup was very tasty, nicely spicy and with plenty of marrow dumplings, the venison with spaetzle as a side dish also tasted very good. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable.

There were four of us there. First of all, I have to say that the food tasted good, unfortunately the schnitzels arrived at the table only lukewarm, and the salad for almost €19 was absolutely not worth the money. What bothered us the most was the service, which really wasn't good. It wasn't very busy but the service person preferred to stand at the end of the table and pass everything through. The friendliness also really left a lot to be desired. For us it was actually the first and last time we were there.

Eine extrem angenehme Erfahrung. Uriges Ambiente und eine reichhaltige Speisekarte. Das Essen war von Salat bis zum Nachtisch hervorragend. Man merkte sofort, daß hier noch mit Liebe zum Detail gekocht wird. Immer gerne wieder.

Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend essen. Das Wetter war naßkalt und wir freuten uns auf das Restaurant. Wir wurden in einem großen hellen Saal platziert, der auf Grund seiner Einrichtung einen ungemütlichen Eindruck machte. Aber zu allem Elend waren die Heizungen eiskalt und wir warteten frierend auf das Essen. Während die Bedienung Jacken trugen, kam uns das unpassend vor, in unseren Mänteln am Tisch zu sitzen. Das Essen "Pfälzer Pfännle" war ungewöhnlich fett und dadurch Geschmackssache. Der Wurstsalat mit Pommes war gut gewürzt und hat gut geschmeckt. Auf Grund der Kälte im "Speisesaal" werden wir uns einen erneuten Besuch in der kalten Jahreszeit überlegen.
