The Old Moselle Railway Station is highly recommended! The restaurant is located directly on the water (approx. 25m away) and invites you to enjoy delicious wine and food. The food is freshly prepared and extremely tasty! A very special compliment goes to Claudia and (big) Ben. Two funny, quick and courteous service staff! Thank you very much and see you next time...

Wir wurden von einem sehr freundlichen Service empfangen und im Laufe des Abend auch bedient. Tadelloser Service stets aufmerksam. Das Essen Flammkuchen und Pfälzer Saumagen, sehr gut, da gab es nichts zu meckern. Ein Besuch jederzeit wieder, sehr empfehlenswert.

The old Moselle train station is worth a trip. The food was delicious 😋, the service had style and was extremely polite, as well as an understanding of his job. The young man with a twirly beard and red hair was the perfect service for us. The advice for a glass of sweet wine, excellent. Will be eating there again on Sunday with much anticipation.

Been there twice, had a good regional meal twice. Top tarte flambée and Moselle/Palatinate cuisine. Nice attentive team. With a view of the Moselle and the jetty. The Federweißer was also delicious.

We've been here many times before, but this time it was an absolute failure. The starter was out and another one was simply put there when it was served. When I later asked whether the main course could even be served in its entirety (it would have included a product from the starter), they were also told that it wasn't there and that they simply wanted to replace it with something else. We then reordered a meal. Many tables that were occupied after us received their eaters far before us. After an eternity the 4 main courses came. 2 meals were a laughing stock. There probably wasn't enough meat left that they made 2 pieces out of one piece and then fried them to death and served them carelessly on the plate. We were more than disappointed. Since 2 out of 4 meals were okay, I get 2 stars.

Nice restaurant with a terrace (almost) directly on the banks of the Moselle. You sit right next to the parking lot, but that didn't bother us. Not even the main street that runs behind it. The food is delicious and plentiful. Coffee and cake are also served. The prices are reasonable for the place.

Located directly on the Moselle promenade, we spontaneously got a spot here. The burgers were very tasty, the fries were too bland for us and could have used some salt or spice.

The tarte flambée with bacon was very tasty and large, but you could look for the bacon. In other restaurants it is better served. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The food at the Altes Moselbahnhof was very good! Both the vegetarian burger with goat cheese, cranberries and walnuts (what a combo!) and the burger with Angus and bacon were very tasty. The price of over €18 per burger is made up for by the fries and the coleslaw with the burger. However, it is incomprehensible that the price of the blob does not include mayonnaise or ketchup. The staff was okay friendly, the tables were clean, the view of the Moselle was also quite nice, although there was a parking space in between and the toilets were clean. Recommended especially because of the quality of the food if the euro is not too tight.

Super. Right on the Moselle (good, parking space in between) but still great and top food (regional); Spundekäs and Saumagen (also burgers, schnitzel and steak) and top price-performance.

About 10 minutes after ordering it said: A cod fillet with fried potatoes as well as Fried red and liver sausage with Potato/sauerkraut mash on the table!!! Sorry, we wanted to enjoy and not fed off become. I'm not a chef, but that's just fine with convenience products. Sorry, It really wasn't bad, but it wasn't again. The service was excellent!!!

Unfortunately, our waitress was completely overwhelmed and stressed, which was passed on to us as guests. Another waitress seemed disinterested and rather dismissive. The covered terrace with a view of the Moselle is in itself a bonus that could be used lavishly. But you should also clean and lubricate the fans on the ceiling so that they don't squeak all the time. The winemaker's platter for two people is quite good, but our brown bread was dry and could hardly be cut. Overall, a restaurant with a lot of potential, but which remained unused during our visit.

There were 11 of us in the restaurant. Food was very tasty. Service quick and friendly. Gladly again.

The AMB burger was really delicious. At 18 euros with very good fries and coleslaw really OK for this quality. Beautiful ambience on the Moselle and friendly service make this “old Moselle train station” really recommendable.

Very wide range of food and drinks, professional staff in service and obviously also in the kitchen! In places with a lot of tourism, people are initially skeptical, but everything is right here. Whether you want to have a snack, a tarte flambée or a solid steak - everything makes a convincing impression and tastes really good. We'd love to come back!

The restaurant lives up to its name - it's like a train station. Guests go in and out, it is hardly possible to sit comfortably and enjoy themselves, also because there are no cushions for the wooden chairs. Some of the staff take forever to register whether a guest wants to place an order or walk through the restaurant with a mournful expression. Only the food makes everything better, although it's a bit too expensive for our taste.

During our vacation we ate here so we didn't have to go to a crowded restaurant in the old town. The location is very central and it is a very large restaurant. The location is actually very nice right on the water - actually, because the parking lot between the restaurant and the Moselle bothered me, but the restaurant can't do anything about that because it's a public parking lot. The service was very nice. And the service was super quick and we didn't have to wait long for drinks or food. Food was delicious. Large portions and beautifully presented.

Waiting for hours for food without any attention from staff. When asked, the young man said you can hear it from the kitchen, it's too busy. Mutual grumbling and also very varying sizes of the dishes/schnitzels. Couldn't cancel after 45 minutes. Food quality is otherwise good, hence 2 stars instead of 1.

Very nice location. Were there in summer and also in autumn. The waitresses are very attentive and polite, the price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable and the food tastes good too! :-)

In order to shorten the waiting time for the next ship, we stop here more often. The wines are good, the cakes too. The staff is a bit overwhelmed at times. It's also up to the guests.

A restaurant directly on the Moselle. The staff there is relaxed and the food can be highly recommended. But you should reserve a table. When it was still Bernkastel train station, you would have sat on the platform. Today you have a wonderful view of the Moselle, as far as no party boat docks with terrible music. But we only experienced that once.

The atmosphere was very inviting, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. This time we only had something to drink, which was very good. Next time we will also try the food as it looked very good at the neighboring tables and everyone seemed happy.

Totally recommended. Admittedly, the price is already at the top end, but the plus points make you forget that. Beautiful nearby view of the Moselle, tasty food that we all enjoyed and the staff, despite the obvious strain due to the limited manpower, are very quick and extremely attentive. When the evening sun briefly shone in my face, a service worker immediately noticed this and extended the awning. I had a completely different experience not far away.

I think the prices are way too high. The food was okay, the fries were dry and unseasoned. Our service was also unfriendly. This made you feel rather uncomfortable. The ambience on the terrace was good, unfortunately a radio station was playing over the loudspeakers, but better music could be used here.

The restaurant and the food are very good. We also liked the cleanliness and friendliness of the employees. Only the bikers with their loud Harleys were extremely annoying and showed zero consideration for others. Showing off and posing were more important. There is also a biker cafe there.

Nice place to sit and watch but if the apple pie and cheesecake hadn't been thawed it would have been even better. The base of the cake was bone dry, so you weren't even happy about the big piece of cake. Cappuccino and coffee were delicious.

Top restaurant with a great view of the Moselle and the boat docks. Excellent for people with walking disabilities (e.g. walker), as the entrance is at ground level and you can get in without difficulty. The staff was super friendly, the restaurant itself was very well maintained and inviting, the selection on the menu was great and the prices were absolutely great for the amazing quality of the food!! We were more than thrilled 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. The sanitary facilities are kept clean and well maintained by a lady, thumbs up for that too!! We would love to come back and have already recommended it to the next tourists in Bernkastel 😉

Hier kann man hervorragend essen, Schnitzelgerichte Burger & Co..... Alles sehr lecker und bezahlbar. Im Terrassenbereich aussen zu sitzen ist große Klasse, die Bedienung ist freundlich und es ist alles sauber. Die Toiletten sind nicht ganz so toll. Man wirbt mit Bikern, die man da auch antrifft, aber es ist ein Lokal für alle.

Haben einen Lieblichen Weißwein,Jägermeister,Kaffee,u.Cola Light bestellt!! Das Cola,der Jägermeister u.der Kaffee waren ja OK.Aber diesen Lieblichen Weißwein war mehr als sauer!!Habe etwas später für den selben Preis wieder einen Weißwein getrunken u.der war dagegen wirklich klasse!!

We were there during Pentecost week. Nice restaurant with a view of the Moselle. The service was good. The food and drinks were served relatively quickly. There was nothing to complain about. The dishes we ate were all very tasty. The nut cup was excellent! Rarely have I seen so many nuts in one cup as this one. I just hope that the restaurant didn't suffer too much damage from the Pentecost flood. We had: shandy, waffles with cherries and cream, nut cups, meat platter, schnitzel, shrimp with spaghetti, baked potato with salad

I just drank something there. A lovely white wine that had a bit of a lot of acidity to it. I drank the same thing somewhere else for the same price. The white wine was great. The cola, the cappuccino and the Jägermeister were as they should be!!!

Very nice location directly on the Moselle. Food was good. Our male waiter was great. The others in service sometimes seemed a bit stressed and annoyed. But all in all, recommended.

2 pieces of cake (frozen) 1 iced chocolate 1 0.5 liter shandy For a whopping 21.50 we think it's very outrageous. Does the view of the parking lot and the Moselle justify that?! The table and benches were very dirty. A commendable mention must be made of the staff, two of whom had to serve the many guests. Unfortunately the location is also very loud. Which makes it really difficult to sit comfortably together.

We had a drink there and a small meal. They have a nice menu with something for every taste.

Being allowed to eat with a large traveling group. But management has done a lot wrong. Special attitude when handing out and calculating 2 main meals per person for 3 adults in the group. Or it didn't ring a bell when taking the order or it was a matter of money grab... Anyway the attitude of the staff when going through the bill and concluding the misunderstanding was unusual to say the least.... Food was too salty. Children no longer wanted their food because it was too salty... Not recommended in my opinion.

People were very friendly until we went to pay. Extra dishes and drinks were on the bill that we only saw after we had to pay for more than €400. Then we saw extra dishes on it but we didn't get them back. We paid almost €60 too much. I felt squeamish when we walked out the door and people were smiling at us. Unfortunately, the food was not tasty either, the asparagus was very astringent and the fries were far too salty and not cooked everywhere. The children went home hungry.

Die Zutaten waren frisch und von höchster Qualität, und die Zubereitung war ausgezeichnet. Während des gesamten Essens fühlte ich mich gut umsorgt. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, und mein Glas war immer wieder gefüllt. Fazit: Ich habe in diesem Restaurant einen wunderschönen Abend verbracht und kann es jedem empfehlen, der gutes Essen und freundlichen Service schätzt. Besondere Erwähnung: Der Service war ausgezeichnet, freundlich, aufmerksam und kompetent. Das Essen war köstlich, mit frischen Zutaten und perfekter Zubereitung. Die Atmosphäre war warm und einladend. Empfehlung: Ich kann dieses Restaurant jedem empfehlen, der ein tolles kulinarisches Erlebnis sucht.

Visit in mid-March 24: Table 12 is in the train of the entrance door, unfortunately other guests don't pay attention to this and it's extremely cold inside. Maybe the waffle ladle shouldn't be wiped off with bare fingers in front of everyone? If necessary, the boss would be asked to provide sufficient disposable gloves.
