We had a meal in this restaurant with several people. We really liked it, the food was very good, plentiful, tasty and reasonably priced. The waiter was attentive and friendly - learned is learned. We will come again. We've been there several times now, it's still good and all my guests were thrilled. Sure, we'll be back.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant this evening. I can only recommend it! The service was extremely courteous and friendly. The food was a pleasure, real home cooking. The ambience is also simply beautiful and adds to the lovely atmosphere. An all-round successful experience!

Everything was great, but unfortunately I didn't like the food as expected. I found the pork medallions tough and fibrous.

Organizing a birthday party for 120 people with a delicious buffet is not an issue here. The service is excellent. The service to guests is friendly and quick. The food was very good and tasty. Something for every taste, whether vegetarian or omnivore. Can be recommended without hesitation.

The menu is small and middle-class. The portions are quite small but the prices are high. We had a company meal there. It was comfortable but nothing more. Ok for a larger group. Personally, I wouldn't eat here.

Where should you start...The food is excellent and fresh! The atmosphere is rustic and cozy. The service is very attentive, friendly and accommodating. A visit to the Old Garden is always worth a stay!

I've been eating there for almost 40 years and have never been disappointed. The service is always friendly and helpful. The ambience is not modern, but there is a fireplace room with a large window facing the garden.

We celebrated our wedding in the Old Garden and it was perfect! The food was great and the service was just great, we can definitely recommend it. The hall is very nice and the park outside, with a small pond and bridge for taking photos, is also very nice. Many thanks to all the staff.

From the champagne reception to the very tasty and visually good appearance, to the dessert, everything was very good. The service was unobtrusive and always on hand. We celebrated a wedding in a separate room. Highly recommended.

Wie immer war das Essen gut, jedoch hat sich die Portionsgrösse der Speisen verkleinert. (wahrscheinlich der MWST- Umstellung geschuldet?) Bedeutend schlechter geworden ist die Herrencreme(mehrfach getestet), es ist keine Creme, sondern ein stichfester Pudding, Schade!!

Very friendly staff, current daily menu, lots of game, goose, fish. Food was very good, only the pumpkin cream soup was a bit too watery.

As a service provider, I am allowed to celebrate the wedding reception at the location. Very nice location, a large hall with 130 people can easily celebrate the celebration. There is also a pond, which also provides a great photo backdrop or for a free wedding ceremony. Sufficient parking spaces. Good praise to the staff and kitchen staff. The food was excellent!

Über das Restaurant ALTER GARTEN in Klein-Reken, kann ich eigentlich nur positives berichten. Zu verschiedensten feierlichen Anlässen ware wir schon im Restaurant. Die Qualität der Speisen ist eigentlich immer gleich gut. Was in den Jahren etwas geschrumpft ist, dass sind die Grössen der Portionen. Stets freundliche und rasche Bedienung. Nie haben wir lange auf das Essen gewartet. Auf Sonderwünsche wird gerne eingegangen. Es empfiehlt sich jedoch vorab einen Tisch telefonisch zu reservieren.

We've been going to the Old Garden to eat for as long as I can remember! I can remember the first time for myself in 1974. My grandpa's 70th birthday. The soup tureens alone were the highlight. The schnitzel platters are amazing. They are no longer available like they were back then, but there are great alternatives. The boss, back then with a toothpick in the corner of his mouth, was always friendly and customer-oriented. The employees are still great today. Some have been there forever, which speaks for a company. Even today we still enjoy coming here again and again. And you can say today, as then, that it's worth it. No matter what comes on the plate. But hello, we were there spontaneously for lunch today and what can I say, the schnitzels were world class and the complete dishes, I had a Schlemmer schnitzel and my wife had the beef with onion sauce and last but not least we enjoyed the men's cream. Ein schönes Restaurant mit einer guten Speicherkarte. Die Preise sind moderat und die Portionen sind ausreichend. Toiletten sind sauber. Sehr freundliche ,gut ausgebildete Bedienung . Sehr zu empfehlen.

Total geräumige, barrierefreie Lokalität mit zahlreichen Sitzgruppen drinnen wie draußen. Aufmerksames, freundliches Personal. Ausgezeichneter Salatteller, fabelhafte Schweinelendchen, gut gekühlte Getränke. Akzeptable Preise. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Gut bürgerliche Küche. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich,schnell und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist sehr gut und ausreichend. Preis - Leistung passt. Schönes und gemütliches Ambiente. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt. Die Pommesbeilage sollte nicht im Schälchen auf dem Teller serviert werden. Es stand in der Sosse und das ist nicht so angenehm.

Waren jetzt zum dritten Mal dort. Es ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne dort hin.

Das Essen war einfach sehr gut, gut gewürzt, der Garpunkt vom Fleisch perfekt. Der Service, trotzdem das es sehr voll war, aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Ambiente war gemütlich. Nur eine Kleinigkeit, die Herrencreme kenne ich nur mit Stückchen von dunkler Blockschokolade und nicht mit Vollmilchschokolade, was mir persönlich noch besser geschmeckt hätte. Alles in allem war es ein sehr gelungener Abend und wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wir waren 1h eher da als angekündigt und da die Küche noch geschlossen war, haben wir vorab Kaffee und Kuchen bestellt. Der Kuchen war richtig gut! Nicht zu süß, nicht trocken, gut gebacken, einfach lecker. 😋 Später haben wir dann noch zu Abend gegessen und auch das war richtig gut. Frisch zubereitet und super abgeschmeckt! Und auch die Preise waren absolut in Ordnung! Da habe ich in anderen Restaurants schon bei den Getränken durchaus das doppelte bezahlt... Also, ganz großes Lob an die Betreiber und das Personal, wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal vorbei, wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind 🙂

Seit Jahren besuchen wir gelegentlich mit Gästen das Restaurant ALTER GARTEN in Klein-Reken. Der Service ist flink und das Essen war immer gut und ausreichend. Ich kann das Restaurant empfehlen.

Obwohl das Restaurant proppe voll war und Tische zum Teil nacheinander mit Reservierung wieder belegt waren und wurden, muss man wirklich sagen, tolle Organisation intern und Qualität der Speisen und des Service wirklich sehr hoch. Wir waren mit 7 Personen am Samstag dort, alle Speisen auf den Punkt, heisse Teller(!), Garpunkte optimal und anschliessend auch Dessertempfehlungen sehr passend. War mal wieder sehr gelungen und zum Wohlfühlen. Vielen Dank.
