Really a shame. Unfortunately we have to wait now. We have long enjoyed going back to the old days. Davor and his family have run this restaurant excellently for almost 25 years. May there be a hundred more. You always feel welcome. The food is always top notch and the service is top notch. 👍 We wish you all the best for 2025... and remain loyal. The food was OK for 3 out of 5 people. Not so tasty for 2 people. But as we all know, it's a matter of taste. My food was delicious. The restaurant smells slightly musty, probably because it is in the basement. Waiting time for food was an incredible 1 hour and 30 minutes. I think that's too long. 45-50 minutes is ok but anything over an hour is not possible. Well, yes. Have fun renovating, we'd love to come by again.

I had dinner there again with a few people in the run-up to Christmas. My first visit confirmed this and made it a little worse. We had to wait well over an hour for our food. The waiters were overwhelmed by the full restaurant and weren't particularly friendly when spoken to. The food wasn't particularly prepared. Taste wise, so, a lot of potential for improvement. The mayo and ketchup were presented in a plastic bottle on the table.

The owner and operator is very friendly and tries to make every wish possible. We have been customers for many years and can highly recommend it. The food is very good and so far we have never managed to finish the portions and at reasonable prices.

Friendly family restaurant with incredibly nice service. Draft beer, delicious Slivovitz, for wine connoisseurs, outstanding selection. Food, fresh, plentiful and THE steak restaurant in the area, definitely try it. I always order delicious, homemade Djuvec rice to go with the side dishes :)

Aufgrund eines besonderen Anlasses waren wir heute mit einer größeren Gruppe zu Gast, daher hatte der Gastgeber im Vorfeld die Saisonkarte erfragt. Offiziell wird das Gänse essen wohl ab nächsten Montag beginnen, wir kamen aber bereits heute in den Genuss! Bodenständig kommen entweder Brust oder Keule mit Klößen, Rotkohl, gefülltem Apfel und Apfelmus, Maronen und einer wunderbaren Sauce daher. Lecker war es und daher zu empfehlen.

Wir haben hier im Rahmen unseres familiären Geburtstagsessen erneut einen schönen Abend verbracht. Ein gewohnt freundlich schneller Service macht es leicht, sich gastlich gut aufgenommen zu fühlen. Wünsche bzgl. des Gargrades des Rinderfilets z.B. auf medium rare - wurden von der Küche ohne weiteres umgesetzt. Wenn man mal Lust auf bodenständige Küche hat, findet man hier weiterhin ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

The restaurant must be good, as it was very busy around 7 p.m. on a Friday. Apparently it makes sense to reserve. My wife was also happy with her Cordon Bleu. However, my food fell far short of my expectations. I ordered Düsseldorf mustard roast. Generally you pay 30+ euros for this. Here it is offered for 24 euros. Okay, I thought. Then the rump steak will probably be a little smaller, okay. I became suspicious when my food was in front of me after a good 10 minutes. Impossible for a real Düsseldorf mustard roast. I got a piece of beef (not sure if it was a rump steak. The consistency was more like a rump steak) gratinated with cheese. There was a thin layer of household mustard between the cheese and meat, which I was only able to appreciate the taste of on the third bite. Unfortunately, the cheese wasn't of normal quality either (cheap Metro cheese?), which doesn't go well with the meat. A dark sauce (usually an Altbier sauce) was completely missing. My disappointment is so great that I probably won't eat there again.

If you ever get to have Orce as your companion for the evening, enjoy every minute because when you get his sense of humor right, it's the best evening ever!

Nomen est Omen. Wirklich in der alten Zeit hängen geblieben. Sowohl die Einrichtung auch die Anrichtung am Teller irgendwie 70er Style. Platten sehr großzügig belegt und anscheinend hat es auch geschmeckt aber das ist auch schon alles. Statt Pommes wurde Reis bestellt aber dennoch Pommes geliefert. Fleisch musste leider noch ein zweites Mal sterben . Heißt es war sehr totgebraten. Mein Pfeffertoast ist leider in der Sauce ertrunken ( Sauce an der Seite wäre besser gewesen) . Beim Eis zur Nachspeise wurde mit der Sahne nicht gespart. Viel zu üppig. Eine feine Mischung aus der alten Zeit mit der neuen Zeit und dann wären sicher mehr Punkte herausgekommen 🥺😉

Familien Osteressen, da muss ein Lokal her, dass im besten Fall alle Geschmäcker und Sonderwünsche "unter einen Hut kriegt" (na gut, Vegetarier werden hier wahrscheinlich weniger glücklich, Vegan ist wahrscheinlich gar keine Option). Das kriegt der Service als auch die Küche gewohnt souverän hin. Hier wird man freundlich und schnell umsorgt.

Freundliches Personal, leckeres Essen

Great food with typical grill plates but also seasonal dishes like asparagus. Everything freshly prepared. Very friendly attentive service.

We were there again with friends after a long time - everything was the same as before. First-class food, reasonable portions. Our friends were very impressed. I've known this restaurant since I was at school and everything is just as good as it used to be! Very rarely something like that.

Wir waren gestern das erste Mal in der Alten Zeit und sehr angetan. Das hatten wir gar nicht erwartet. Das Restaurant ist total gemütlich, Personal schnell, freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Zum Schluss gibt's einen Absacker auf's Haus und Kinder bekommen einen Kinderriegel, super! Wir kommen wieder!

Gute Küche, nette Bedienung allerdings war viel zu tun und es dauerte auch für Getränke schon was länger.

Beim Blick auf das Gebäude erwartet man nicht das, was sich einige Treppen runter dann eröffnet. Balkanherzlichkeit pur, rustikal gemütliche Einrichtung, ein super freundlicher Service und eine authentische Küche. Die Speisekarte bietet eine umfangreiche Auswahl an Balkangerichten, aber auch bspw. Schnitzel. Die Qualität und Frische absolut gut und die Portionen riesig, bei echt fairen Preisen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich und eine Reservierung ist empfehlenswert, da auch unter der Woche gut besucht. Neben dem Gebäude stehen einige kostenfreie Parkplätze auch zur Verfügung.

Das Ambiente ist den den 80 ziger Jahren stehen geblieben 🤭 aber sehr sauber !!! Das Essen sehr lecker und der Service freundlichen/ aufmerksam. Kommen gerne wieder!!!

Wir haben einen schönen Abend mit leckeren Gerichten erlebt. Klar, in den Weihnachtstagen ist das Gösteaufkommen hoch, so dass wir trotz reserviertem Tisch ein wenig warten mussten. Mit gut gekühlten Getränken an der Theke kein Problem. Der Service war trotz des hohen Belegung schnell und sehr aufmerksam sowie freundlich. Das Essen hat uns wie immer nicht enttäuscht.

Wir waren gestern mit der ganzen Familie dort...das Essen war sehr reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Trotz der vielen Personen, bekamen wir unser Essen fast alle gleichzeitig. Der Service war freundlich und sehr flink. Kann man mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen

Schön rustikales Restaurant mit leckerer Balkan Küche und reichlichen Portionen. Immer gut besucht, reservieren ist immer eine gute Idee. Wir waren eine gemischte Gruppe mit 12 Personen zum 80. Geburtstag, die Bedienung ging fix und war immer sehr freundlich. Ich hatte die Schweinefilet "Mozart" siehe Bild😉

"Alte Zeit" bietet das beste Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, das man in der Nähe finden kann. Der Zwiebelrostbraten ist schlichtweg ein Genuss - ich habe noch nie einen besseren gegessen. Fleischliebhaber kommen hier voll und ganz auf ihre Kosten, nicht zuletzt wegen der herausragenden Fleischqualität. Abgerundet wird das kulinarische Erlebnis durch den überaus freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Service. Ein absolutes Muss für jeden Fleisch-Enthusiasten!

Came here for evening meal with group of business colleagues, it takes some finding and looks nondescript from outside, inside they have 4 skittle alleys and a large dining area, food was very good with locally sourced dishes typical of the area and some decent local beers to try.

I used to work about five minutes walk from the Alte Zeit restaurant. After discovering just how great it is I spent a considerable amount of time eating there, with friends and also with clients! I lived and worked in Germany in 1999/2000 and I visited Alte Zeit again last year and its as good as it ever was! I can recommend it enough, especially the sharing house plate that we know affectionately as the 110, which is its number on the menu. The hospitality is always warm and the beer cold, what more can you want? Seriously, if you're in town, go, eat and enjoy!!
