Alte Senfmühle in Flensburg

Very disappointing! We drove especially from Kiel to Flensburg to eat plaice with ratatouille vegetables. Unfortunately, the waitress explained to me that this order was not possible because it was too crowded and the ratatouille vegetables would take too long to prepare. Why are there several dishes with ratatouille vegetables on the menu if these cannot be ordered when the restaurant is full??? I asked if I could get the dish if I was willing to wait longer for it. Unfortunately, this was also denied by the waitress. It's a shame that the guests' wishes are no longer worth it. In the future I would rather eat somewhere else!

We were in the old mustard mill today and were thrilled. While there are plenty of places to linger outside in summer, the restaurant inside is small and has around 10 tables. The decor is warm and really cozy. We had a table in the corner with a soooo comfortable corner bench. Ambiance is accordingly 10/10! The food ranges from classic to new and interesting. Chilli-coconut-banana soup isn't often found, but you should try it! The main courses, whether vegetarian or meaty, were plentiful, cooked to perfection and the quality was great all in all! The desserts were also great. We left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied...and we will be back!

Nice service and pleasant quiet atmosphere, reasonable price and delicious food. Everything makes a very clean impression. Unfortunately, the toilet is not barrier-free.

Very nice restaurant in itself. The schnitzel burger was unfortunately a bit disappointing, as the sauce was only mayo and ketchup.

The food is good and the service was nice and smiling. Nice size of the portions and the food came on quick after the order. Just a little notis is they only have soda i. 0.2 cl. We did not reserve a table but was the early 1730.

We had fillet platter, schnitzel Viennese style, hamburger premium and mixed salad with chicken. The first two meals were ok for me. rated, the hamburger was nothing special and for a guy it was just an appetizer and the salad would pass for a side dish from the crowd. If the price corresponded to the quantity it would be ok, but that's a 2 star deduction. Far too expensive for what is offered. The service was very courteous and friendly.

When we arrived it was full. We were able to reserve a spot for "in 45 minutes". No regrets that we did that. The service was hardworking, attentive and friendly. As far as I could see, it also works very well together. People were being turned away, even though I saw that there was still room. Fine, because I suspect that the maximum number of guests that could be served had been reached. So don't have someone there if you can't give them the right attention.

Cozy, quiet restaurant in a backyard to the very busy pedestrian street. We missed a children's menu, but the staff were very helpful in making a child-sized dish, and at a lower price. Would definitely like to visit again!

The staff took their smoking break two meters from our table, the food was a sad experience and the prices were sky high for the quality of the food. Steer away!!!!

We were here once before in 2023 and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and the good quality of the food. During our current visit we chose from the lunch menu and were very satisfied. Very tasty, good portion and reasonable price. A recommended address.

It was fantastic and the food was good

Very friendly service and cozy atmosphere. First of all we received a little greeting from the kitchen, which was very tasty :-) All dishes were fresh and tasty, prices a little higher but located directly in the city center in a beautiful courtyard. It's better to reserve in the evening, but there are also plenty of outdoor seats. Parking garage in the immediate vicinity. Staff also spoke Danish and there were many Danish guests on site. All in all, I would recommend it and we will definitely eat there again.

Very comfortable seating outside, super friendly service. I had penne in curry with mango and chicken, there was too much of the powerful sauce.

Very tasty “mustard salmon soup” as a starter, a 100% recommendation! Everything else was really good too. You can easily sit outside in a Flensburg backyard, but you should probably make a reservation as the restaurant is quite small and busy. Very nice and attentive service! 🙂 A real recommendation for Flensburg!

Cozy patio in the courtyard. Ate asparagus with homemade hollandaise sauce, butter-fried potatoes and cold-smoked ham. Very good! Good service and cozy atmosphere.

It was my first time there, an invitation. It is highly recommended, the food was very delicious, as my star ratings show, I give it 5 stars in all points, very satisfied.

We were there yesterday May 15th. 24 at 4 p.m. on site. We were told the kitchen would be closed due to a meeting. Ok, asked how long it takes. The employee said about 45 minutes. We were back on site 55 minutes later. An employee came to us straight away and said we were closed and the announcement wasn't friendly either. Kind of stupid if it's supposed to be open all the time. We'll take our time until our next visit.

Cozy atmosphere, very good selection of food. The food was really tasty. And the highlight was the super nice staff, fast service and totally friendly and funny. I would love to come back.

We've been there more often now, being outside in the summer is a dream, at least for us. Yes, the food is always great! Staff always friendly, attentive, etc... Everything was great. Criticism In our opinion, we definitely need to get the acoustics (dampening the volume) under control, as that would contribute significantly to our well-being, at least for our taste. Everything was fine, we would love to come back...

For the first time in Flensburg.......great ambience.....delicious food.....friendly service.......

Today, after half an eternity, we are eating there with a few of my friends. It's a bit old fashioned, but still nice. The food is great as always. Service was a little too inattentive (since there were only 4 tables) but all in all still totally okay.

It was a very nice experience to eat at the old mustard mill. The staff was always hospitable and courteous. The food was also A1. I highly recommend it.

Sauce Aioli is really tasty and the service is very friendly and attentive, that's all in advance! We (4 people) had the Mafiosi rump steak, the “Mustard Mill” grill plate, the roast beef and the penne special. We were all very satisfied and have nothing to complain about. Portion sizes are well chosen and the price-performance ratio is good.

Wonderful location and go for the food. Like star cuisine.

Friendly welcome, drink received quickly, food served after 20 minutes. The roast beef looked and tasted quite good, a small portion for heavy eaters. 17.90€ The pesto tagliatelle, large portion, hot, little pesto, 4 halves of kish tomatoes, were a bit bland. Extra parmesan was delivered quickly. Drinks normal prices.

Since you can't even order 2 tables there with more than 10 people, I personally find it very sad

Seit ein paar Wochen gehe ich ab und zu zum Mittagstisch in die Senfmühle.Das Essen ist von sehr guter Qualität und schmackhaft zubereitet! Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und umsichtig. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgesprochen gut.Alles ist sauber,auch die Toiletten! Gerade jetzt in der kalten Jahreszeit ist man in der Senfmühle besser aufgehoben, als auf dem überteuerten Weihnachtsmarkt, wenn man Appetit hat.

Sehr gutes gutes Essen freundliche Bedienung, schönes Ambiente und moderate Preise. Im Sommer kann man gut draußen sitzen. Fazit: Ein Besuchohnt sich.

Eigentlich war ich ein gern gesehener Gast in der alten Senfmühle und mein verstorbener Hund ebenfalls. Inzwischen wundere ich mich nur noch über die Preise. Als ich Frühjahr noch einmal dort war, die Chefin kennt mich und für meinen Hund gab es immer noch ein extra Leckerlie! Ich war da gerne mit meinem inzwischen EX Mann. Ich bekam noch einen netten Spruch zum Abschied und komme deshalb nur noch selten oder gar nicht mehr. Es ist schon einige Jahre her und ich hatte für den Geburtstag meiner Mutter einen bestellt , leider war der nicht frei als wir pünktlich erscheinen. Ich denke bedienen doch lieber meinen EX Mann! Tschüss!

Es war sehr schön, das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung war freundlich. Ein schönes Erlebnis. Gerne wieder und weiter zu empfehlen. Die Preise sind in Ordnung, man bekommt viel und gute Qualität für die Preise. Desweiteren gibt es die Speisekarte noch auf Dänisch.

Sehr nettes Restaurant. Reservierung zum Vorteil! Gerade auf den typischen Zeiten (Samstag Abend etc). Personal war sehr nett und höflich und das Essen sehr lecker. Ganz klar eine Empfehlung wert. Im Sommer kann man sicherlich ganz nett draußen sitzen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hervorragend, auf den Punkt gebratenes Rumpsteak (medium rare wie gewünscht), die Vorsuppe war gut bis sehr gut, das Rübenmuß mit Zander exzellent, die Apfelcremesuppe spitzenmäßig. Tolles Team und trotz knackevollem Laden sehr nett. Danke für den schönen Abend!

Wir hatten Glück und haben spontan noch einen Tisch für zwei Personen bekommen. Ich denke gegen Abend oder mit mehreren Personen sollte mal auf jeden Fall vorab reservieren. Wir hatten das Schnitzel mit Pommes und Champion-Rahm-Soße, sowie die Schweine Medaillons mit der Backkartoffel und ebenfalls Champion-Rahm-Soße. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und der Service super! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! :-)

Hübsch gelegen in einem der historischen Hinterhöfe von Flensburg. Der Service war schnell und professionell, das Essen lecker. Die vegetarische Portion fiel etwas klein aus, ansonsten aber top. Auch das Ambiente innen überzeugt. Parken sollte man am besten in der Nähe von ZOB oder roter Straße.
