Accidental find on the way home from vacation! Very tasty, nice and fast service!

The watermelon tomato soup was simply out of the world , the lamb plating was great as was the quality of the meat. The pork medallions was decent. Overall great food. Service was friendly. Price definitely nit cheap, rather expensive but not overtly.

A disaster for vegans! Too bad! I expected more in a green place like Gröbenzell! Not to mention the prices...

The selection of dishes is rather small - but with high prices on a Munich level. In addition to the cheese, the salad with goat cheese consisted almost entirely of lettuce. I had to ask about the bread that was on the menu. The only explanation given was that there was a lot going on today. No real apology or discount. When I didn't tip - sorry for what? - the waiter made his displeasure clear. Once and never again!

Friendly, very good cuisine with fair prices

Nice friendly service, delicious burgers, delicious tagliatelle, Kaiserschmarrn for dessert was really tasty. The price is upper class, but the food is worth the money.

We have known Daniel since his first restaurant in Gröbenzell and were already impressed by the quality of his food in terms of the taste and freshness of the goods. The friendly nature of the service should not go unmentioned; especially that special requests could be made and were almost always fulfilled. The food in the next restaurant (unfortunately just outside Gröbenzell) did not disappoint. Now back in Gröbenzell in the “Alte Schule” we are impressed by the tasteful ambience and especially by the excellent breakfast menu at the weekend. This is the third time I've eaten the "Breakfast at the Old School" and all I can say is: "There will definitely be more to come." The rest of the food is also excellent in terms of taste and freshness and, as usual, our special request was fulfilled for lunch (it wasn't on the menu but could be fulfilled in the short time). In conclusion: Gröbenzell has once again added a culinary highlight, including the rich and tasty breakfast.

Update May 2024: A few weeks ago everything was fine, but I have no idea what happened. The food wasn't good. The prices and menu are the same as before, but the quality of the food has deteriorated. Example Bourbon Burger: There used to be a nice brioche, now it's a puffed up burger roll from the supermarket. The cheese used to be high quality and now it's a cheap sliced ​​cheese that doesn't even melt properly. The meat used to definitely always be fresh, but now it tastes like cheap frozen meat and was firm and grayish. The presentation of the food was loveless! This won't work in the long term... ------------- Very welcoming place with a welcoming atmosphere. The food was well prepared and the service was attentive and friendly. Definitely one of the best places in the area.

EXACTLY THIS IS WHAT FOOD SHOULD TAST! Re-opening of the old school! Finally you can go out for a good meal in Gröbenzell. Super attractively prepared, decent portions, very tasty and above all a super nice atmosphere. I can only recommend everyone to try the fish! Great even breakfast is offered on weekends! The opening times used to be really strange, but now there is a great selection of quality dishes every day from lunch to evening. So let's go to the old school :)

New host and tested. Really great. Four of us went to dinner and everyone had a different dish. Each one was excellently prepared, beautifully presented and tasted great. Staff totally friendly. You will definitely see us there again. Highly recommended.

Review from 04/2024 for the new operators: there is now also breakfast on the weekend, the service still needs to improve a bit. Currently you can only pay in cash, but that will change soon, according to the operator. The breakfast is very tasty and nicely presented. The beer garden is still missing some cosiness and decoration. Unfortunately the owner changed on April 2024. My previous review applies to the previous owner: first-class food, great quality and great service.

Absolute madness!!! We already know the innkeeper from Amper Lust in Olching...no wonder he was a star chef!!! I can highly recommend the Old School to you...food, drinks, jazz evening today...simply top!!! Everything at a high level! Prices are absolutely ok compared to Mü...quality is outstanding...I don't think anyone will be disappointed here. Definitely try it out!!! LG

We tried out the reopened “Alte Schule” and were very impressed. Food was very tasty and the service was very friendly. We look forward to trying out the breakfast offerings soon.

Re-opening of the old school on December 19th, 2024. The food was good but very expensive and the portions were small. Apparently nothing has changed in the old school concept, which has already failed two tenants before. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the new operators that it works this time.

On Christmas Day we decided to dine outside for once and were not disappointed. In addition to the excellent service, three extremely delicious meals were served and everyone was very full.

Heute, am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag 2023 waren wir, aus gegebenem Anlass, zu einem Familientreffen in der „Alten Schule“ Gröbenzell - leider! Das Essen- 4x „Entenbrust…“ war in jeder Beziehung UNTERIRDISCH! Die „Ente“ sah knusprig aus, erwies sich jedoch als labbriger Vogel! Aussen lasch, trotz eingeritzter Haut, die wohl einen knusprigen Eindruck hinterlassen sollte, innen lediglich lauwarm, die Portionen überschaubar- alles andere als nur annähernd festlich! Der Hunger trieb‘s letztendlich runter…. Ein mit anwesendes Familienmitglied, als Veganerin, fand in ihrem Salat ein dickes Büschel Haare!!!! Ihr Salat kam nach ca 2 Minuten zurück- „ist neu gemacht“, sagte der Ober…. So etwas grausames habe ich, 62 Jahre alt, noch NIE in einem bayrischen Restaurant erlebt! Vor weiteren „Köstlichkeiten“ in diesem „Gastronomiebetrieb“ haben wir uns durch relative Flucht schnell verabschiedet! Eigentlich hatten wir vor, den anstehenden 85. Geburtstag unserer Mutter dort zu feiern und zu verbringen. Meinen ärgsten Feind würde ich in diesen Laden durchaus hin senden…. Ausgleichende Angebote- evtl. Espresso oÄ auf Kosten des Hauses, blieben seitens der Bedienung aus. Der kann jedoch relativ wenig für diese Misere- erschütternd und in keinster Weise zu empfehlen!

Ein ganz besonderes Lokal, mit tollem Service und ausgezeichneten Speisen.

Seh gute Küche mit hochwertigen Speisen zu angemessenen Preisen. Wahrscheinlich eines der besten Restaurants in der Umgebung, gute und durchdachte Auswahl, sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr lecker! Auch die Weinbegleitung ist sehr empfehlenswert. Wer es schafft, der Kaiserschmarren ist es wert, probiert zu werden. Im Sommer Tische draußen sowie kostenfreie Parkplätze am Haus. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Es war ein wundervoller Abend in der Alten Schule. Geschmacklich einfach Wahnsinn. Mein Tatar war einfach perfekt mit viel Liebe werden die Speisen angerichtet. Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Mal.

Alles war perfekt. Habe am Samstag in der „Alten Schule“ meinen 50. Geburtstag in größerer Runde gefeiert. Das Essen und der Service waren hervorragend, das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente war einfach toll. Unsere Gäste und wir waren begeistert und können das Restaurant auf jeden Fall wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Vielen herzlichen Dank nochmals an das ganze Team.

So angenehm, dass ich es nicht weiter empfehlen möchte. Nicht das man bald keinen Platz mehr bekommen kann und sich das Personal auspowert.

Traumhochzeit in wunderschönem Ambiente! Wir haben hier unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und es war super organisiert. Von Kontaktaufnahme bis hin zum planen der Feier lief alles sehr professionell. Vom Aperitif im schönen Wirtsgarten bis hin zum 3 Gänge Menü, serviert an einer wunderschön eingedeckten Tafel. Ich selbst bin Koch und muss sagen das alles super lecker und frisch war. Hab selten so gut gegessen. Wir kommen sicher gern wieder und natürlich auch wenn es wieder etwas zu feiern gibt. Vielen Dank liebes Team von der alten Schule.

Die alte Schule in Gröbenzell gehört zu unseren Lieblingsrestaurants im Landkreis Fürstenfeldbruck. Sie bietet gehobene Küche zu angemessenen Preisen bei stets freundlichem Servicepersonal. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön aufgemacht. Auch in der warmen Jahreszeit lässt es sich im Biergarten gemütlich verweilen. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Hier passt einfach alles. Nettes Ambiente, leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal. Ist inzwischen mein Lieblingsrestaurant.

Wir waren am 15. Februar zum Abendessen dort. Es war toll! Mein Mann hatte eine wunderbare Fischsuppe und ich durfte die beste Kalbsleber meines Lebens genießen. Auch die Vorspeise sowie das Dessert waren auf höchstem Niveau und wirklich vom Allerfeinsten. Der Service war vorbildlich! Wir werden auf alle Fälle sehr gerne wiederkommen.
