Great pub, a real experience even for people who don't drink alcohol, as there are plenty of non-alcoholic options too

I cannot recommend the chicken legs I ordered. One leg was good, the other was almost raw, English. A cauliflower soup also didn't live up to expectations. The prices are then very high.

Food very good. Service very friendly. Were regular guests, maybe they will be there again. Not satisfied in the meantime.

I am always happy to be your guest. But if I'm going to be charged €2.10 for a glass of tap water today, then I'll consider drinking my wine here in the future🥲

The Dear meat was slightly overcooked, yet criticism on a higher Niveau. We enjoyed the blueberry sorbet together with tonka cream at the end. The blueberry sorbet did not have a lot of flavor and was significant by the amount of water. The tonka cream on the other hand was delicious. The schnitzel was not an original Wiener Schnitzel, for it it wasn't thin enough, on that plate the fried potatoes, were a good fit and the mushroom sauce was lacking a bit of flavor intensity. Overall one of the better locations you can find in Lingen, I'd recommend especially if you are curious to try a huge amount of craft beer

Delicious food, small, clear menu, nice service and a very nice beer menu - unfortunately I wasn't really in the mood for beer and alcoholic drinks today... you're not getting any younger 🤣

Top address in Lingen. Great staff, great food, always something new. And the beer selection is legendary. Such a great combination is rarely found, which alone makes it a top destination. If in Lingen, then go there

The main course would have been okay as a starter but not as a main course. And that for almost 30 euros. Too bad

Very sorry but that was a joke: We ordered a salat with salmon for more than 18€ each and we get a leap of leaf salat with a small tomato and four very small slices of salmon from somewhere but definitely not fresh. No bred, no carots, paprika or something what justifies the price. By far overpriced and clearly not recommended!

On June 26th, 2024 we ended up in the Alte Posthalterei by chance and were able to sit outside with a view of the market square when the weather was nice. We actually just wanted to have a drink, but then we asked for the menu and enjoyed an excellent dinner.

Everything very expensive. Had to wait a bit to be served.

Delicious salads! I came here a couple times during my visit to Lingen for a work trip. I had their Fried Cheese and Salmon salads on separate days. Plus their gazpacho soup! All of it was fantastic. Definitely grateful for some great green options. Staff were all always friendly and polite. They also had an English menu, which is much appreciated. Definitely worth trying if you're in town!

Service overwhelmed, glasses often empty. Menu very clear, expensive. Despite a lot of different exotic beers, there was no delicious wheat beer. A pity.

Hello folks, We went to watch football at the Alte Posthalterei last night. We sat there with three people from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., settled the bill afterwards and had to pay 60 euros by then. Until then everything was fine. Five friends then joined us. The Alte Posthalterei does not charge per person, but per table. When we wanted to go home after the football game and got the bill, it was like a bullet through the head. We were supposed to pay 393 euros including food. After we demonstrated that none of us had eaten, the bill was reduced to 333 euros. We were told they had combined two tables. Even though we only sat at one table and nobody ate anything. There were 10 people working and we had to wait up to 35 minutes for our drinks. Now the question of the week: how does such a sum come about? Kind regards to the people who sat at the table before us, we probably paid your bill again. Have fun ripping things off in the future!!! Because we just wanted to drink a few beers and not buy the whole store!!!

Great beer selection, very nice service, asparagus was cooked a little too soft, but the hollandaise sauce was delicious and homemade. And not Tetrapak goods like in many other places.

The main course was super tasty, really great, but the dessert was 2 scoops of mocha ice cream full of ice pieces that the ice has been re-frozen after melting! Service could be a little friendlier. There was a tense atmosphere, not really pleasant. In the end, even though I didn't like the ice cream, I immediately reported it and didn't eat it, but I did have to pay, which I don't think is correct.

Great restaurant with excellent cuisine and a huge selection of excellent craft beers from Germany and all over the world.

Everything is just right here! It starts with welcoming everyone to the homepage, including children! And it goes on to say that non-guests are explicitly welcome in the toilet and are welcome to leave a donation for the crew. The food is fresh, regional - super tasty! The service was super friendly! You won't find the dusty German grumpiness here. There is also a break with ready-made products that are often used elsewhere, that's how gastronomy has to be! The only thing missing is a great vegan dish. I ask for a branch in Stuttgart :)

Really amazing choice of different beers, was surprised that had sour beer and such a tasty one at that. Food was also really tasty, but I was disappointed to find out, that my vegetarian option was basically the side dish to the salmon dish they offer, but dressed up with some herbs and sauces. That does not detract from it's superb taste, put i found the portion size to be lacking for the prize. Overall great place to sit down and have a nice dinner, if you're in the area.

Two stars only because I've had a delicious meal there before and was served nicely. But if you are so overwhelmed at the Kivelingsfest, then you just have to close 1-2 rooms. We waited over half an hour before we could even order. The waiter was visibly overwhelmed and reacted extremely rudely, arrogantly and overwhelmed to a simple order of 5 drinks. We have never received such unfriendly service, neither there nor anywhere else! That was a sentence with X.

Whenever I'm in Lingen, I have to drink one of the many great beers here.

Great ambience and great selection of beer.

The Alte Posthalterei in Lingen offers a rustic atmosphere with a familiar charm that conveys a real regulars' table feeling. You immediately feel at home here, especially since it is located in the middle of the old town next to the market square. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating, and despite no reservations, they actively searched for a free space. The restaurant impresses with a large selection of beers from all over the world and a carefully selected menu that is seasonal and contains regionally sourced ingredients. What is particularly impressive is the eye for the small details, from the selection of dishes to the preparation. Your wishes regarding the side dishes are taken into account, which makes the service even more personal. The dishes are cooked and fried to perfection, with the juicy and aromatic asparagus particularly standing out. Overall, the Alte Posthalterei offers an excellent culinary experience that is a real highlight for both locals and visitors.

Ate there for the first time today. Very nicely received. The smoked trout salad was nothing special. The trout tasted very good. The salad was pretty standard. The main course was venison. The saddle of venison was well cooked. The sauce, however, was quite thin and tasteless. The spaetzle wasn't good. The asparagus was well done. Courteous service, food rather average.

Stopped here for dinner with a desire for a rustic atmosphere and good, down-to-earth food. I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the homemade house bread with cream cheese and the Königsberger meatballs with beetroot as my main course. Plus a delicious Augustiner on tap. Everything extremely tasty. Here you can easily eat your way through the menu. It all sounded very good. 😁 The operation is worth highlighting. Friendly, quick and always with a casual saying to lighten the mood at the table, but in no way intrusive. Good feeling for the guest. Well done. Living gastronomy. Great! Keep it up! 👍

Expected more… Good cuisine with bad service. We had made a reservation and were then shown to a room with no other guests. Upon request, we were given a free table in the main room. The drinks were then only taken when we called out that we would like to order. You also had to ask for a menu first. The waitress seemed bored and not very interested in the guest. Then we asked about bacon in the potato salad, whereupon we were told that it was OFF and that it was now served with fried potatoes. Ok, no problem, only it was served with bacon. Unfortunately, this is not taken into consideration here. And all we heard was a “sorry.” Food was quite good, I think it's nice that only a small menu is offered. Speaks for SELF-MADE. But unfortunately the service sucks…

That was probably nothing on Sunday evening! We ordered venison goulash with spaetzle, which were unfortunately out, and fries were also out, there was only fried potatoes. My order: Pike perch fillet with sesame mashed potatoes. After 1/2 hour we were informed that zander was out, instead salmon trout was out, then sea bream. That was good. The side dish was terrible.

Wir wollten uns nach Beendigung des Weihnachtsmarkt noch gemütlich in der Posthalterei zusammensetzen. Leider schnauzte uns der Serviceleiter derart an, weil wir uns an einem Tisch setzten, der angeblich nicht für 5 Personen geeignet sei. Nachdem wir uns dann an einem geeigneten Tisch setzen verweigerte uns jegliche Bedienung.Quasi Rausschmiss. Rotzfrech!

Sehr leckeres Essen bei tollem Ambiente. Die Gerichte wurden sehr edel angerichtet. Preislich bewegt man sich eher im höheren Segment, was es aber auf jeden Fall wert ist! Die Bierauswahl ist schon sehr ordentlich. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Der Kellner heute ging gar nicht. Hat uns blöde angemacht weil wir mit 5 Leuten an einen 2er Tisch gegangen sind. Wollte uns nur widerwillig bedienen. Hat mich fast angeschrien warum wir nicht einen großen Tisch genommen haben. Wir sind gegangen und nach nebenan in eine andere Lokalität wo wir freundlich und schnell bedient worden sind

Bin gebürtige Bayer, war paar Tage zuvor noch in den ländlichen Oberpfälzer zoigl Stuben. Der Kopf war demnach noch schwer. Es half nichts .. Arbeitstechnisch musst man in den Norden. Drei Tage Pause Lingen, tourismus schließlich waren Vorfahren um 1600 Rum "Preußen".. geht man dort hin bestellt ein helles und bekommt Riegele. Erst dachte ich es sei Tegernsee, nee es war echtes Riegele. Als gebürtige Augsburger kennt man die Brauerei Oma als Eisenbahner wohnte in riechweite zu sämtlichen Augsburger Brauereien Riegele, hasenbräu und noch goldene Gans. Zu gut einfach, Schnitzel, Brotzeit und co runden den Spass ab 👌. Gerne komm ich wieder wenn es einen Anlass dazu gibt

Wer ein standard Gericht, wie ein Schnitzel, zu einem Festakt macht, verdient von mir, 6 Sterne. Ich hatte seit 20 Jahren, kein solches Schnitzel mehr, wie hier. Die Getränkekarte, ist ein Reiseführer durch die lokale und internationale Bierkultur. Variationen der Gerichte, ist nicht einfach nur schnell abgetan, es wird auf die Präferenzen (Allergien), der Kunden eingegangen und Alternativen, angeboten. Essenz des Besuches: Außergewöhnlich gut...

Bin gerade hier, was soll ich sagen, das einfache Schnitzel, einfach nur top. Die Panade kross und löst sich leicht vom Fleich. Der Geschmack einfach klasse. Die Bedienung ist hier super. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Zu meinem Geburtstag haben wir für 4 Personen zu 13 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert. Für das Baby mit Kinderwagen war auch gut Platz. Die Speisekarte war sehr übersichtlich. Ein Gericht gab es schon nicht mehr. Sehr freundlicher Service und das Essen gut. Schade, daß es zu der Jahreszeit keine Wildgerichte gibt. Letztes Jahr waren wir auch mit mehreren Personen hier essen und da war das Angebot noch reichhaltiger. Wo war der gute Kivelingteller? LG 🙋‍♀️

Sehr uriges, nettes und freundliches Restaurant. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hat direkt Kinderstühle und Malsachen für die Kinder gebracht. Es gibt eine sehr gute und leckere Bier Auswahl. Das Essen war hervorragend. Sehr leckeres Schnitzel! Die Speisekarte gab es per Post 🤣🤩

Mit Freunden hier zum Essen gewesen. Das was wir hier an Service erlebt haben sucht seines Gleichen - besser geht eigentlich nicht mehr. Das hatte schon freundschaftlichen Charakter. Das Essen war super lecker und appetitlich zubereitet. Der Beilagensalat war super toll, also kein Standard wie sonst in anderen Lokalen - hier gab es z.B. Sprossen oben drauf. Die Auswahl an Bieren war extrem groß. Es war rundum ein toller Abend. Danke.

die alte Posthalterei Lingen ist ein uriges Restaurant in einem schönen Fachwerkhaus. Es gibt zwar nur wenig Speisen auf der Karte. Dafür werden diese aber in einer hohen Qualität dargeboten. Das Besondere ist die Auswahl an Bieren. Hier gibt es über 100 verschiedene Biersorten, so dass jeder hier sicherlich auf seinen Geschmack kommen wird.

Super aufmerksames Personal. Kaum gesetzt, kommt schon die Karte. Geniale Bierauswahl, sucht seinesgleichen. Die Speisekarte ist jetzt nicht so umfangreich, aber für jeden etwas dabei und viele regionale Sachen mit Hinweis auf die Quelle. Ebenso steht unter den Gerichten auch eine Bierempfehlung. So geht gute Gastronomie.

Mooie locatie in het centrum van Lingen. Het was lekker eten, aardig personeel, vlotte bediening. En de prijs kwaliteit was helemaal prima. Wat wil een mens nog meer..
