The food was very good, steak the way I like it, with lots of spaetzle and a salad. Steak was perfectly medium rare, spaetzle was also very good, as was the gravy and a delicious salad, with very good portions. I also really liked the atmosphere, a large beer garden with lots of tables, lots of space, with lots of guests and a playground, the waiter was very humorous. All in all I was very satisfied, thank you keep it up. 👍

Nice beer garden with shade or sun, have been going there again and again for 30 years. But now the prices have exploded, the food is complete boredom and it doesn't even taste good! Schnitzel, chicken, steak or cream cake - that's the Baden monotony on every menu in Ortenau today. In addition, most of the ingredients come from frozen foods, buckets or bags and canned goods. There are no more chefs, the taste is gone too, only the beer has become even more expensive... In this respect, all the inns in the surrounding area are the same: high prices with no cooking ability! You can't eat here anymore!

Really original and well hidden places! Ideal for families, even with young children: outdoor play area with several slides, cabins, swing (even for babies), jumping animals, turnstile from my childhood... it feels like a mat assistant's garden! These are not new games, they served well but are a delight for small and medium-sized children, mine, the oldest not yet 3 years old and the little one almost 2 years old, he was able to have fun alone under our supervision from our table 😊 table changing table and high chairs available! As for meals... Don't look for gastronomy here, it's typical German 😅! But it was very good and above all plentiful! Children's menu different choices of sausage, nuggets, fish etc. My husband had escalope with cream sauce and chanterelles served with fries, very good. I took the breaded escalope with fries, I had 2 good sized escalopes and a large portion of fries! I couldn't finish the 2nd or all the fries! It was served with a slice of lemon but the escalopes were on a bed of brown sauce and my fries were soaked in it and so much the better because the sauce was really very good! My mother-in-law's vegetarian plate was huge cheese spatzle with melted onion, very good too! The side salads were well seasoned. Really for such simple meals it was very good in a great setting! Top-notch services, smiling, responsive... I will return there without hesitation and I will talk about it to those around me, it is an address to know.

Got there today at 6 p.m. It was unfriendly on the phone. When we arrived there was hardly any food left. The waiter made an effort and was nice. But the tarte flambée was bad (not cooked through, unseasoned, onions were thick and only slightly cooked, covered in a lot of cheese), there were two short hairs in the sauce. Glass bottles were loudly thrown into a pile behind the house, the rotating thing on the playground squeaked about all the guests.. we are from Marlen and unfortunately we will no longer be visiting the mill. I thought things had improved after the last unfortunately not nice visit from 5 years ago. What a shame!

We wanted to take a break in the beer garden on Tuesday during our bike ride. Unfortunately we were not served. Despite complaining, the waiter said that he was not responsible for this row of tables. Although only a few tables were occupied, none of the four waiters felt responsible. After waiting twenty minutes, the waiter responsible for our row of tables decided to go back to work after his coffee break. However, we were deliberately overlooked by the waiter walking past. That was enough for us and the four of us got up and left. Anyone who behaves like this towards their guests has the wrong job. However, this location is no longer an option for us.

Our dog got a snack straight away and our son got an ice cream at the end from the super nice waiter. Our son's rehabilitation buggy could be parked under the parasol without any problems. Behind us came a group of people with disabilities. Spaces were immediately made for wheelchairs and tables were pushed together. We have often had the impression that people with disabilities are not welcomed in many restaurants. We felt warmly welcome here. Today the beer garden wasn't full due to the weather. On sunny days, the beer garden is also visited by many cyclists. The beer garden is often very full. Of course, longer waiting times can be expected. But I am convinced that the staff give their all even on days like this. You just have to be a little more relaxed and patient. You learn this very well with a child with a disability! And mistakes happen everywhere.

Still a nice beer garden but you don't have to come here anymore for the tarte flambée, there's no comparison to what it used to be - a shame!

Well, it was the first of May and the weather was nice, everyone wanted to go out. That doesn't excuse us having to wait 25 minutes until we were discovered as new guests and could finally order. Another 25 minutes passed until the drinks were served. Then the food came half an hour later, cold and carelessly decorated, not a lettuce leaf or a tomato slice, nothing like that. We then wanted to pay straight away, which we were able to do after another half hour with unfriendly staff. We will definitely give this place a wide berth. Sorry

Unfortunately a failure. With the great weather, the beer garden was of course very busy, which meant that the cleanliness and service fell by the wayside. Despite the change of guests, used dishes were not cleared away immediately, nor were the tables cleaned. The food has nothing to do with a country inn kitchen, it's all convenience products (I know the Maultaschen from LIDL). Price/performance for what was offered is too expensive!

If there are a few more visitors, you have to wait at least an hour for everything except salad and tarte flambée (at least 25 minutes) and then you get a poorly seasoned, burnt "dish".

We've always enjoyed being here for years, but today was by far the worst. The service was nice, but still not particularly fast, rather a bit rushed. Until we placed our first order, we were put off several times: "I'll be there in a moment, I'll be back in a moment, what did you want again?, had you already ordered?" 🥴 The prices and selection are generally ok, but I would never order what I had today again. Calamaris were probably baked in the same fat as the chicken, also heavily salted like the fries, and both were very dry. This time I pointed it out to customer service when I asked if everything was OK, but the answer was more than weak. "He's just service, he doesn't know that" 🙄 Oh well. Maybe we'll try it again, the atmosphere is really great. But food should also taste good. Or we'll just have a drink. Very unfortunate.

What the hell does the staff allow themselves to do? I called to inquire whether we would go on a bike tour to the Kittersburg Mill. Since the distance would be too far with children to not be able to use the outdoor area afterwards, I just wanted to know whether the outdoor area was open. The food is not the reason to come here. It's definitely the ambience. After being so unfriendly, cheeky and brash on the phone and simply hanging up after being rudely said “why are you calling about something like that” there is no excuse for something like that! Such an impudence!!! You can count on me to share this experience with everyone and classify your location with this experience.

Very nice atmosphere, unfortunately I can't judge the food. We arrived today on Sunday at 6 p.m. The waiter came quite quickly, we ordered drinks and wanted to order our cream cake. Until the waiter said that there was nothing left to eat today because they were sold out. The people at the table next door came after us, with a different waiter. You ordered your food and drink. Lo and behold, the other waiter had something to eat... We paid and left. Well, I wouldn't really recommend it now. You want employees like that and customers will definitely come back. Sorry for the long text, I was really angry.

Unfortunately I can only agree with the negative comments about the playground, as I see that the things that were described a year ago during the recession are still unchanged today! Apart from the broken toys in the "children's playground", it is in the middle of the sun and has no shade. The service was polite but not at all accommodating. I had to get the children's chair myself and it was completely dirty, which I then roughly washed off with the wet wipes I had brought with me. The food is an absolute disgrace for these prices! We were there twice, disappointed both times. We won't be coming back!

Bonjour les amis me revoilà au beer garten je suis allé à plusieurs reprises et goûter leurs savoureuse bières et déguster leurs plats j'aime particulièrement la saucisses grillé avec frites accompagnée d'une bonne bière mes les autres plats sont aussi bons l'ambiance et amicale une grande terrasse à l'extérieur le service se fait à l'extérieur également comme à l'intérieur mais je préfère la terrasse par beau temps évidemment les tarifs sont très raisonnable je ne peux que vous le recommander

Je voulais passer une dernière journée estivale sur une terrasse avec mes enfants et ma famille.... Et l'on m'a fait découvrir ce biergarten. C'était vraiment sympa. La nourriture est correct (demi poulet frites / nuggets pour les enfants / salade) . Quelques jeux extérieurs pour les enfants. Cadre sympathique loin du bruit. Tout le monde a aimé. Seul bémol les chaises ne sont pas confortables mais ils fournissent des coussins. Pour les personnes ayant des soucis de dos ce n'est pas très pratique. Je reviendrai dès l'été prochain

Guter Service und gutes Essen. Leider wenig Bäume. Heiß unter den Schirmen. Diesmal saßen wir im Schatten an der Hauswand, herrlich.

Ganz nettes Ausflugslokal. Essen war okay. Service aufmerksam aber auf Grund des Andrangs mit Wartezeit verbunden.

Toller Biergarten mitten im Grünen. Perfekt für einen Zwischenstop bei einer Radtour im Hanauerland. Oder für einen Spaziergang in der Natur. Kleiner Spielplatz für die Kleinen. Einfache aber bodenständige Gerichte zu fairen Preisen. Der Flammenkuchen ist leider nicht mehr so gut, wie er schon mal war. Sehr trockener und geschmackloser Boden und oftmals großflächig tiefschwarz am Rand. Der Service ist öfter mal sehr in Stress und man muss länger warten. Alles in allem aber ein zu empfehlendes Ausflugslokal.

Maultaschen mit Pfifferlingen sahen toll aus und schmecken super....an Pfifferlingen wurde auch nicht gespart....Kinder Nuggets mit pommes sich toll....Salat mit Ziegenkäse ist noch verbesserungswürdig....ist immer Geschmackssache....mir persönlich war die Salatsosse zu sauer, einfach und lieblos....der Speck um den Ziegenkäse müsste krasser sein....der Salat an sich war vielfältig und ausreichend..

What a hidden gem! Great place for a day out with kids as there is a little play area where they can play whilst the adults chat and eat and drink. Thoroughly enjoyed all our food and everyone was very friendly. Cash only accepted though! No cards

Waren Heute vor Ort, nicht zum ersten Mal. Essen war früher nicht schlecht. Aber Heute hatte der Koch wohl einen schlechten Tag. Der Flammenkuchen hätten wir hinter die Theke werfen sollen. Haben es reklamiert, kein Einsehen oder Ermäßigung. Am Tisch neben an das gleiche. Der Gast hat sein Fleisch nicht gegessen. Reklamiert...keine Reaktion der Küchenchefs. Für den Biergarten volle Punkte. Der Rest 2. Also so schnell nicht wieder.

Tolles Ausflugslokal mit Biergarten. Essen ist lecker.🌟🌟 Wir waren am Wochenende anlässlich einer E-Bike Tour erneut hier.🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ Eine Musikgruppe spielte. Es waren fast alle Stühle und Tische belegt. 👏👏 Am Eingang zum Biergarten musste man sich einchecken.😎😎 Es gab Radler und einen Flammenkuchen. Lecker wie immer. 🍺🍺🍛🍛 Update Waren auch Juli 2023 erneut hier. Es gab erneut Radler und Flammenkuchen mit Knoblauch. Erneut super geschmeckt. 🤪🤪 Wir kommen wieder.😀😀 Wenn die Hinweise gefallen haben, bitte Daumen hoch.👍👍

Gemütlicher, schöner Biergarten mit durchgehend warmer Küche, Essen (Steak mit Brot & Calamari mit Pommes) war lecker und preislich ok. Sehr nette und schnelle Bedienung. Kommen mit Sicherheit wieder.

Sehr gute Lage und schöne Natur. Der Biergarten könnte etwas gepflegter sein, insbesondere der Spielplatz. Das Essen hat uns leider nicht geschmeckt. Von 3 Flammkuchen waren zwei so trocken, dass man sie kaum essen konnte, der dritte ging noch. Die Salate kamen leider alle aus dem Eimer und haben einen sehr billigen Eindruck gemacht. Das Küchenpersonal war zwischenzeitlich direkt vor der offenen Küche und rauchte, sodass der ganze Rauch in die Küche zog. Das fanden wir sehr befremdlich und unappetitlich
