Tourist trap. Food tastes okay BUT! We ordered two main plates and they charged us for a glass of water and 2 euros because we wanted an empty plate to share our food! not worth 40€

A restaurant located right in the center of Kehl, unfortunately the meat in my burger was far too salty, inedible. I had to eat my burger without the meat. I explained the problem to the waiter, who didn't seem concerned, and there was no apology from them. The wait was rather long, unfortunately...

The food was forgotten. We had to wait half an hour for our food after we asked again. Otherwise, the food was okay, hence the two stars.

Very nice ambiance, hard-working, funny, and super friendly service, typical Mexican food, a wide selection, large portions, delicious and something for everyone, extensive drinks/cocktail menu—we'll definitely be back.

Had no problems. Good and fast service and really polite. And most importantly, the food was really tasty, the quality was good and the price was definitely fair.

At first, everything was fine. Drinks and food were ordered. When the food arrived, we noticed that one person's plate was half empty, another's food was cold, and finally, to the last person's great surprise, there was a fly in his food. When we later tried to order for another person, we were told it wasn't possible. The waitress then went back to the kitchen to check. Later, she simply returned with the drink. Who it was for and the price were only revealed with the bill. When we reported the food with the fly and demanded a refund, since a refund in the form of food was out of the question, we were told again that we had to go and ask. Well, she never came back. She avoided all eye contact and never came near the table again. When she came for the bill later, we were told that she had eaten her food (she hadn't; the food was left behind out of disgust) and therefore nothing could be done. So she took the food to the kitchen and subsequently changed the situation to her advantage. All in all: we won't be eating here anymore. It would have been a completely different story if the staff had acted appropriately, as was appropriate under the customer's rights. To avoid further stress, the meal was still paid for. But the idea of ​​reporting it to the consumer protection agency and/or the health department was on the table for a long time.

They have good food, but lack of service,waiters.. they don't pay attention to who is coming when, and who should be served 1st, you got to put this in order, because it doesn't look good at front of the guest's.. Also don't like to have drink to be thrown on the table and to be spilled out on the way coz it's rush hour.

In any case, everything was very tasty

Ate very very well and had a very good Pina Colada. I will be back.

As an employee you are often not paid properly and lied to

We were there two days ago and, to be honest, expected more. We were looking forward to authentic, fine Mexican cuisine, but it tasted more like a quick Maggi dressing, so it was okay but nothing special. One or two more ingredients (limes, avocado, a dip, grated lime zest, etc.) would have made a huge difference. The service was super friendly, and the interior is also very attractive.

Everything was OK...the price/performance ratio was right...the food was delicious and plentiful...

Hello, The food is consistently good and served quickly. The best part, though, is happy hour. Unfortunately, the Long Island Iced Tea wasn't very well mixed. All the other cocktails and the like were really tasty, though.

On Sunday afternoon, we ordered cold drinks for five people. We were served quickly by a friendly staff member. The homemade lemonade is highly recommended.

I had a salad, which was HUGE and delicious. My companion had enchiladas, which were unfortunately rather bland. This dish lacked that Mexican flair.

I had to pay 2 euros for a so-called robber's plate (empty plate). It's a shame, others can do better! The food wasn't really great either. Lots of flies and wasps.

The service in the shop was extremely poor, and the pilsner looked like someone had already drunk it. Not recommended.

Very good food, very pleasant service

We discovered this Mexican restaurant in Kehl which offers Mexican specialties (Enchiladas, Nachos, tortillas...) but also German classics (Schnitzel, Spätzle...) and French (flammekueches). The cocktail menu is very extensive and the quantities are generous. We had a plate of classic Nachos served in a basket with salsa and guacamole in small pots, for 2 it's enough. For main courses we had the restaurant's flammekueche with figs, walnuts and goat cheese and a Schnitzel with fries and lemon. And for dessert an Apfelstrudel for 2. It was delicious, the quantities are very generous. I recommend 👍🏻

If you expect Mexican food, this is not the place for you (yes, I am part Mexican so I would know.). But if you are ok with ok quality TexMex then I suppose you could stop by. Service was nice but could do with a bit of retraining. For example, we ordered nachos with salsa and guacamole because we really wanted guacamole. The kitchen had run out of guacamole, which of course can happen, so no problem. However, we were just give a substitute of Aioli and the server said nothing, she just put it down and walked away. We called her over, asked about the guacamole, and she said, oh yes the kitchen is out. And she walked away. We don't like Aioli. The salsa was good though. The chips were not plain salted like it should be. They had a sweat pepper taste which took away from the good flavor of the salsa. Needless to say we ate less than half of it. My frozen strawberry margarita tasted virgin but it was refreshing. We were not impressed by this restaurant and will not be going there again.

We spent a lovely evening at El Bolero in Kehl and were overall satisfied. I ordered the Tacos con Pollo (€15.90) ​​and a Coke – both were absolutely fantastic. The dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, and overall really tasty. The cocktails we tried were also good – although mine was a bit too sweet. The service was consistently friendly, quick, and attentive. We were particularly pleased that we received a warm welcome upon arrival and were well looked after throughout our stay. In summary: Delicious food, friendly service, and excellent value for money.

Very good experience in this restaurant where we were able to dine with a friend despite the late hour (11 p.m.) on a Saturday evening at Pentecost. The Mexican cuisine was a very good surprise. I found the fajitas delicious. The meat and peppers are served separately and still bubbling. The pancakes are served on a covered plate and can be garnished as desired. I will keep this address and will return very willingly, especially since the owner (the same as the one at Meyerhof) is really very welcoming and ready to receive when it is still possible, even at the last minute. Unfortunately, despite the restaurant being almost empty, we weren't served or even noticed. After waiting 30 minutes, we finally made ourselves known and were met with dirty looks, after which we left. It's a shame. The restaurant looks very appealing, but given the "service," we definitely won't be coming back.

All our meals were delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. The cocktails were also delicious, although mine was unfortunately too sweet. The ambiance loses a star rating because, while we were in the restaurant right next to us, the tables were being cleared away and a stage was being set up for the next day. It was very loud and therefore uncomfortable.

I only had 2 drinks to get to know the place and they charged me for 3 drinks, it being my fault for not asking for the ticket and that the waiter told me the bill out loud, when I returned to complain about the error he told me that 'for 3 euros you don't fight', it's not the money but the action and way of responding of the staff, being the place with a 'Mexican' atmosphere, they treated a Mexican badly haha ​​it's not a complaint it's just my point of view being a Mexican tourist in Germany

We were on site as a team with 37 people. Super nice contact in advance with great organization, flexibility and helpfulness. We were completely satisfied!! Food was super tasty and arrived very quickly. Service was very nice, not a given with almost 20 children. So I recommend it all around,

We wanted to visit this restaurant today, but found the doors closed. There was no sign, no information on site, and according to the opening times on the homepage the restaurant should have been open. Something like that is absolutely unprofessional! A short message on the website or a notice would have been enough to avoid unnecessary journeys and frustration. Anyone who places so little value on clear communication will not leave a good impression. We definitely won't try here again!

We arrived at 4 and waited a long time for our order to be taken: (A friend had not yet arrived) We wanted to ask for the drinks first. Once our friend arrived, we had to call the waitress ourselves so that she could finally take care of us because she ignored us and then she told us that we would have to wait ONE HOUR for the meal! It’s huge but so be it. We are hungry enough as it is so we decide to change restaurants and leave. But IMPOSSIBLE. The aggressive waitress forbade us to leave the premises without paying for the drinks we ordered 30 minutes ago: I should point out that we have not even consumed them yet because even drinks they are not able to bring them in a timely manner . To put an end to this catastrophic experience with this waitress as quickly as possible, we calmly waited *again and again* for the drinks to arrive, we paid and we left! So it's good to warn the customer about the excessively long waiting time in the kitchen, but they should do this before taking the drink order. It would also be about respecting the customer, any restaurant, even a beginner, would have apologized and offered drinks to make up for the wait and keep the customer instead of pinning us to our chairs for a €5 drink not even ready. On top of all that, when we leave the same disrespectful waitress who spoke neither French nor English asks us to leave and never come back! So there she could count on it without even saying anything. Bankruptcy will fall on them if they continue. Incompetence at its peak.

A few months ago I was here at El Bolero and found someone else's fingernail in my food. I complained about this immediately, then the boss came to me and tried to insinuate that it was my own. Ps I wear gel nails! Today I was there again with a friend and thought I'd give it another chance, and then there was a foreign hair in my food - that can happen to anyone. I complained and was offered to get the food fresh again, but I didn't want that because I was just too disgusted, so my drink was just taken off my bill. I still had to pay for the food, as well as for the fingernail in the food, which was a natural nail. I will never, ever, ever eat there again!!!!!!!

I absolutely do not recommend. The coated waiter is very very very unpleasant. We are basic regulars but since he has been here we no longer come because he always has a disparaging remark. He welcomes us badly, speaks to us badly, never wants to take our orders and encourages us to order them ourselves via the QR code. We can't even pay in cash. It’s a real shame because the place is nice and the cocktails are pretty good but this waiter is ruining the experience for us. I know how to describe chicken with peppers if I even wanted to!! I was so disappointed. I didn't eat any of it, I left everything behind and just ate the bread. If you ask your employees or your waiters, you would expect them to know a little better about what they serve us!!! Otherwise I would have just used pasta, which no one would do wrong. The whole evening was at A... the mood was ruined. Everything is just annoying. ---
