Ordered Yufka and didn't get one

Got my first kebab there on Sunday, and since then I've had stomach problems and nausea. The meat didn't really taste like kebab meat, more like something else thrown together. There are definitely better options.

Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as expected. One employee was very friendly, but at the checkout, you felt like you were intruding. The food was okay...

The people there are very friendly and welcoming, and the service is truly exceptional. The food is incredibly fresh and incredibly delicious, and waiting times are always minimal. I like coming here during my lunch break; even when it's busy, it's never hectic. Even when I accidentally dropped my cutlery (my knife and fork disappeared under the fridge 😅), they were super friendly and gave me new ones right away. Great service, great shop ;)

Ambience a disaster, you can't even see out

If I could, I'd give it 5 more stars. What the heck was that??? I ordered a huge kebab plate and had to take half with me. The salad was freshly prepared and nice and crispy, everything exactly how I like it! I wanted to go to the bathroom just before we left, and had already rolled up my trouser legs (I always do that when I go to public restrooms), thinking they'd be dirty, but surprise, they were so clean, sparkling clean. Unfortunately, I'm rarely in the area, but when I'm here again, I'll definitely eat here.

Super clean shop and the Dürüm was pretty much the biggest I've ever seen... incredible, and the prices are, in my opinion, really reasonable for the service.

Very tasty and fresh ingredients of high quality. The skewers are also attractively displayed behind the counter with fresh ingredients. The portions are generous. The Turkish coffee and especially the Turkish tea are highly recommended. The tea is perfect for summer. Prices are irrelevant. It's the same everywhere. Service is excellent. There's plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant! Go there and enjoy!

Jufka with cheese €11 Barely anything cold on top Not recommended

More show than substance. We bought a Yufka; at €11, you can barely afford two. When we got home (after 5 minutes), it was ice cold, and the roll wasn't even 6 cm in diameter. And the taste isn't anything special. Terrible. For that kind of money. Once, never again.

I'm German, but I understand a little Turkish... I was there a while ago, as I often do, for lunch. Ordered a kebab to go. No one else was there. I like fries in my kebab. A colleague made some. We waited until they were ready. Meanwhile, another customer arrived (speaking Turkish). He waited to be served after me. Shortly afterward, the owner came to the grill, greeted me, asked if my order had been taken, and then addressed the other customer in Turkish, greeted him somewhat exuberantly (probably acquaintances), and took his order. This included fries, whereupon the owner took the now almost-finished fries from the frying pan to serve them to the other customer. At that moment, his employee pointed at me and told his boss in Turkish that the fries were for me. The boss just grinned at me, said he'd make me more fries right away, and continued to finish the other order. I declined and left. I'm very reluctant to be treated like a second-rate customer. I don't have time for that at lunchtime, and there are plenty of kebab shops. Besides, I find this kind of behavior a bit irritating?!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place at all. Prices aren't posted, and then you get a nasty surprise at the checkout: €8 for a kebab that tastes absolutely nothing (inedible meat, pre-made sauce, etc.). I'm puzzled as to how it got such a high rating on Google...

Enjoy your meal. I was shocked at the price, I didn't expect that. However, portions are also larger than in other kebab shops. Was super full.

Doner kebab was nothing special and very carelessly prepared. The flatbread was too hard, you remembered it differently. It's a shame... especially since there wasn't much going on.

Eat: -Selection is diverse. Recommend trying the lunch/day meal. -Quantity is generous. -Taste good/very good. It's difficult to rate because everyone has their own preference. Service: -Very friendly and visitor oriented. e.g. When I ordered a kebab plate, I forgot to order rice. Got fries, they wanted to swap plates, although my mistake. I think it's great behavior. Ambiance: It's nice, a bit worn with age, but still neat and clean. Conclusion: I would love to go there again. My recommendation is lunch/dinner.

Donerbox was really overpriced, they should be ashamed of themselves for the few fries, kebab and salad. 8€ for that is a joke!! You're being ridiculous, there are much better ones out there!

I ordered for the first time at the weekend and it was very, very tasty 😋. I had a kebab plate and have nothing to complain about at all! It was a huge portion. The meat and rice 🍚 were very tasty, the sauces were very tasty & the salad 🥗, fresh & crunchy! I will definitely order again and try your menu 😀🙃☺️.

Might be the best Grill in the area. The meat is delicious, the portions are full. The bakery products are also nice and the place is clean.

Were at Ali Essen, very nice boss, clean restaurant, food sufficient and good 👍. The only drawback was the exhaust air (clothing according to food) could be better, but you could sit outside. All in all, we'll be back.

Prices are outrageous. 14€ a pide, 9€ lahmacun and not even freshly made. 8€ for kebab made from the cheapest meat, Yufka 10€. doesn't work at all.

First of all, I was extremely hungry. I got full too!!! But a bill of €39 is outrageous. What does an “Ali’s grill plate” come with? I asked? The answer: "Rice, salad and mixed grilled things like chicken skewer, Adana, pirzola & meatballs..." My request was to add 2 meatballs and yufkafladen with them... And of course I wanted to have künefe for dessert... But that didn't happen, there were only 2 meatballs in total... without flatbread... What a shame The store is really smartly furnished like a large McDonald's, with a size like this I understand the prices, but I'm a restaurateur myself, employees and costs are enormous... When I was at the checkout and asked for the bill, I was told with a mumble that it would cost €30… So I had Ali’s grill plate €24 Künefe 6€ Drink 3€ (thought it was included with a 24€ grill plate because he mumbled) What bothers me is paying 6€ for a meatball that wasn't even juicy and instead had barely any sauce... I put down €50 and prepared a €4 tip, I said it would cost €39 🤷‍♂️ I asked why? Then he listed: Grill plate €24 Künefe 6€ Cola 3€ Plus 2 extra meatballs that I put on it.. (If he put it on himself, why weren't there 2 meatballs on it...?🤔🤔🤔🤔) Makes a total of €39 Put down €54 and got €15 back… Then there is no tip... So the prices are extortionate, if you want to get dressed in a store like that, you're welcome, I let myself get dressed once, I definitely won't let myself get dressed THERE again...

Good place to go if you have a craving. Huge portions, fresh vegetables, homemade breads, pide, pizzas etc. from the oven and meat from the charcoal grill. The daily specials are also recommended. For some dishes it's certainly not exactly cheap, but it's top quality and taste. There is no better kebab or yufka in BK and definitely one of my top 3.

Sehr lecker aber die Preise sind definitiv zu hoch. Ist auch das erste thema wenn man mit anderen leuten über alis grill spricht: "mega lecker aber kann ich mir nicht mehr leisten". Verstehe die Preiserhöhunge, aber nicht in diesem Ausmaß. Nur die dönerpizza kann ich nicht empfehlen, teig und belag sind den preis nicht wert. Yufka und döner sind top.
