Nothing high in terms of cuisine or service. Menu: Salmon fillet with fried potatoes and salad. The fish was 4/5, pleasantly smoky grilled but too bland. Boiled potatoes taste better in every kebab shop and other restaurants would just use the “salad” as decoration. The service was probably only there because it had to be there. The bright ceiling light is reminiscent of an opera hall and definitely doesn't invite you to linger. Not worth a second visit for me and deservedly a maximum of 2 out of 5 stars.

Very tasty fried calamari, the mixed platter with various fish was very generous, the salmon unfortunately tasted very much like grilled meat. There could have been more side dishes. Ambiance in the train station district as expected. You will be approached by people asking for money when you sit outside.

Quite well known in Frankfurt, but quite overpriced for the manageable portion size. Fried potatoes unseasoned, salad only with lemon without dressing, no sugar-free drinks available. Wouldn't go back.

Fishmonger and fish grill of course. Absolutely worth trying. The plate of sea bream fillets with salad and potatoes is reasonably priced. And the ayran to quench your thirst, only joy :)

Bag was forgotten on Sunday, employees put it aside and returned it in its entirety. Deserves a good review. We have also been regular customers for years...

I am a regular customer at this store. I have always eaten well there. But today I got the expired shrimp. The heads were black. I complained and got a new portion, unfortunately it was expired again, unbelievable! I didn't even hear the apology. What's more, the waiter sees that I'm pregnant and still gives me this garbage. Alim’s is now an institution in Frankfurt. If I want to eat fresh fish, I always go there. The fish is fresh, the prices are reasonable, the service is fast and friendly and the dishes are 95% better than in high-priced restaurants. You have to know that the location is more of a snack bar.

The restaurant is very small and getting old, but it is very cheap and for the little money you really get a decent, high quality portion. The fish wasn't the ultimate, but the quality was perfectly fine and it tasted delicious. The portion of fried potato slices and the salad weren't bad either and were really decent in terms of quantity. The price-performance ratio here is more than great. For little money you can honestly get a decent, tasty portion of fish and side dishes here.

Food is good so far, fish is fresh but the potatoes could be crispier with more flavor. The service, however, can be improved, not exactly friendly. The atmosphere is also rather “rustic”, you are sitting in a fish shop, but the location still means that many customers come.

The food is very delicious. The place for sitting is not that much big, they should take more care of hygiene! And i found the stuff not friendly! I recommend while they spoke and caring with customers not that friendly.

Really tasty food, but the service is lagging. After I went into the restaurant, it took a few minutes until I was asked what I wanted. With a smile, I ordered a fish soup and was told to find a seat. I looked in vain for a smile and friendliness and sat down. The waitress walked past 2-3 times, after 10 minutes he asked if I had already ordered, I just said that I was at the front. Then he turned around and waved me off. Well 2 minutes later the soup came. Very tasty, rich with fish and vegetables. Then I wanted to pay and was back in the entrance area without any service. Two other guests came who wanted to pay. Then an employee jumped up from the table and said I was collecting it. The two ladies were settled and I then said I would also like to pay for my soup. He said a colleague would do it and sat back down at his table and continued eating his lunch. Perfectly ok, but why couldn't I be billed? Well, shortly afterwards the colleague came and I was able to pay and also give a tip. Well, with the feeling of having eaten deliciously, but without feeling any hospitality. I'll go back in a few weeks and give it another chance to do better. Otherwise, back to the Istanbul Fish Grill... 😉

We bought cod, but it was spoiled. When we looked at it at home it didn't look or smell fresh. After cooking it smelled like ammonia. Very disappointed, 10 euros for nothing

Very tasty fish soup is the best

The fish soup is one of the worst things I've eaten in my life. A pasty, strange broth that looks like water has been mixed with paste. This has absolutely nothing to do with fish soup. I don't even want to know how this is prepared. Hardly any fish taste, wrongly bound (gelatin???) And the whole thing doesn't look healthy either. My sea bream was pretty bland, no herbs or spices, no olive oil, no lemon and no salt. How is anyone supposed to enjoy something like that???especially, how can a chef serve something like that????the potatoes came with it from a bag (frozen). The salad dressing also tasted like convenience. Conclusion: If you want to eat fish, this is definitely the wrong place for you. The only fishy thing here is the smell in the shop otherwise it really has little to nothing to do with cooking. It has more to do with processing.

I went there for Dine in & here's my experience: - You can't order from fish available on the counter, it's only available for buying raw to go. - soup is ok but nothing special with it. - fried fish fillets is a disaster, fish taste is weird and bad, very poor quality, I left it all and no one asked how was your meal. - Dining area is tiny with no order to seat guests, a guy was a lone in 4 seats table, while we were 3 sharing small table for 2.

Die Fischsuppe ist ein muss! Sonst sind alle Fischgerichte sehr empfehlenswert! Gerne wieder!

wir hatten Makrele und Doradenfilet. Makrele die besere Wahl, saftiger. und man wird eher satt davon. sehr fairer Preis auch mit 9,90. der doradenteller hatte nur die hälfte an Salat und der Fisch war klein. aber frisch gegrillt. ich würde wieder kommen.

Für mich eine echte Institution in Frankfurt. Hier kann man gut Fisch essen wie am Meer in der Türkei oder Italien ohne Dekorationen und goldene Teller. Einfache Atmosphäre: hier essen nebeneinander Banker, Hausfrauen, Familien und Touristen aus alle Länder. Alle verlassen dieser Restaurant satt und glücklich. Die Preise sind echt gut und die Portionen richtig perfekt und gesund mit Fisch Salat und Bratkartoffeln! Danke!!!

Guter Fischimbiss mit frischer Zubereitung der Gerichte. Große Auswahl an frischen Fischen. Drinnen zu sitzen ist wegen der fettigen Luft wenig zu empfehlen. Essen ist jedoch top.

일요일에 머물면서 가고자 했던 식당들이 다 문닫아서 숙소근처에 있던 이곳에서 연어구이를 테이크아웃 해왔어요 기대 안했는데 구성도 푸짐하고 (생선구이,감자튀김,샐러드,빵) 맛도 좋네요! 주문 받아주시던 아저씨도 친절해서 좋았어요 사람들이 피쉬스프 많이 먹던데 궁금하네요 어떨지!

Hatte am Vortag genau das gleiche bei der Konkurrenz, da war's deutlich besser. Kartoffelscheiben eher lauwarm, Durchschnittsbrot nicht gegrillt, Salat leider wirklich mies, Dorade OK. Service nett und flott.

Essen war gut , aber Service war lustlos, unfreundlich

Ein einfacher Fischimbiss mit Frischfisch- Verkaufstheke. Wir waren mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden.

Wir waren abends da. Ich hatte Schwertfisch bestellt. Schmeckte etwas trocken, ist bei Schwertfisch aber nicht unüblich. Zubereitung auch ein wenig lustlos. Der Beilagensalat war sehr trocken.

Supposedly one of the original grilled fish restaurants in Frankfurt. Fish soup is flavorful and the fish is very fresh. The sardines are also cooked just nicely with the outside crispy and the inside still moist. Overall a decent place for lunch if you’re in the area.
