We followed the numerous positive reviews and left quite disappointed. We ordered a grilled platter and were honestly stunned by how little food there was on it. Two small skewers with three pieces of meat each and two mini lamb chops. A small scoop of rice and half a wrap underneath as a side of bread. No salad, no vegetables, just a sprig of parsley and a wickedly hot pepper. A truly lonely plate! We've seen better in so many restaurants (especially for a whopping €31.90 per plate!). The missing minced skewer was unfortunately only explained upon request. ("Problems with the ventilation, so you had a second chop.") I'd like to know about things like that beforehand and decide for myself what I'm going to eat. Thanks. At least the pide was filling. We didn't have to wait long, but overall we found the service rather lackluster. This restaurant is certainly pleasing to the eye, but unfortunately, that alone doesn't make it worth returning to. In our opinion, this restaurant is completely overrated.

Hello, we went there to eat and ordered a pide and tavuk. The food was cold. The service was terrible. We called 5 times to order and only came on the fifth attempt. The staff were very unfriendly. Overall, a 3.

Hardworking staff with original Turkish taste

Today was my first visit to Ali Bey. Definitely not my last! I've rarely been as impressed by a meal as I was here. The grilled meat and vegetables are simply indescribably delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. One of the tastiest and best restaurants in Munich.

Honestly… about as perfect and authentic as it gets. The prices seem on the high side at first, but every bite is worth it, and the service complements it just perfectly. 10 out of 10, will go again.

It's definitely a must-visit place, the food is delicious, and when you enter, be sure to take a look at the Atatürk portrait.

We went there for the first time yesterday. Five people. They are very friendly and welcome their guests with a warm smile. Even though it was very hot, we still wanted to eat inside because we personally find it quieter and more pleasant. There are, of course, outdoor seating options. The food we ordered was served extremely quickly. The plates were appetizingly presented and delicious. Everything was very well seasoned and even the littlest one enjoyed it. Upon request/inquiry, the meat was immediately cooked from "medium rare" to "well done" (without any complaints). That was very nice. The ambiance was also lovely. Above all, the huge portrait of Atatürk with his wife stole our hearts :) 🥰 We'd love to come back. Keep up the good work 👏🏼

The second worst pide place in Munich. The first one was a place that heated up frozen pide and gave it away, this one is second. Despite my objections, I went there more than once at the insistence of my friends, and I never managed to eat anything tasty. Also, the prices are way too expensive for this kind of food. If the Munich municipality gave this out as free pide, I wouldn't go and eat it. The tea was good though.

I understood that they transferred 2 pieces of lavash to my account by saying they would not charge for lavash after checking the bill. They were kind enough to deduct 1 of them from the price(!), it was also very meaningful that the card was not accepted while making the payment with 2 different credit cards, fortunately cash was accepted. I recommend you to pay by checking the bill. On the bright side, the food was delicious, we liked the pita, meatballs and anchovies, well done to our chef.

I don’t understand how that restaurant has 4.7 stars. I was not sure if my kebap was uncooked or not. Also, prices are high for here.

I was not satisfied at all, I do not recommend it, the appearance is Turkish but the presentation is foreign, there is no appetizer or salad with it.

We visit Ali Bey every now and then... and are extremely satisfied every time. The food is fantastic in a warm atmosphere. The waiters are very friendly and attentive, the service is excellent overall, they serve fine wine made from Turkish grapes, and the food is a poem... from the appetizer to the dessert. Superb quality and beautifully prepared. Here, you can feel the hospitality as much as the love of good food. We'll definitely be back!

Very hospitable. Great service. I felt very comfortable. During my visit I asked the waiter to surprise me. Surprise succeeded. A very good selection for me and my companion.

We were very pleased with the service and food taste, especially the wide menu and variety. We ordered a starter, a hot appetizer and a main course. The portion was enough for two people. We ordered stuffed meatballs as a starter, fried anchovies as a hot appetizer, and tandoori lamb with stuffed rice as a main course. Frankly, I ordered the main dish and the hot dish with hesitation, but they were both very delicious. The anchovy pan arrived hot and crispy. The spice and aroma of the stuffed pilaf and the tandoori meat were as soft as we expected. We ordered rice pudding for dessert upon the recommendation of the restaurant and we were very pleased. Finally, there was Doluca's KAV series of light red wines. I definitely recommend it.

Definitely a place to visit, the taste is superb. I definitely recommend the lamb skewer with yoghurt, it is incredibly delicious. The attention and service of the employees is very good. It is a very nice place where you can go with family and friends. We would especially like to thank Mr. Ayhan.

Ready-made lavash was used in the Grill Teller. I think it is one-fifth the size of a lavash. Adana was smaller than half portion. Meat and chicken skewers consisted of three pieces of meat each. The pilaf was also very small. The taste of the food was good, but the portion was small for the price I paid. The service was fast. The employees are good. They said Kunefe was finished, but when they insisted, they did it. It was very small but beautiful. They also brought fresh lavash and 4.20 was written on it. I've never paid extra for lavash anywhere before. Trouble finding parking for the car. Yes, this is a problem everywhere in Munich.

Tiny portions and ungodly prices. The portion of rice with the chicken is tiny, if you ask for a little more you will be charged €5, tea and bread cost extra. I think 6 people €300 is a rip off.

The food is amazing and the desserts are delicious, we even had a few more desserts packed to take home. But I think this portrait of Ataturk can very well be the only reason to visit again. I feel like I had dinner with my great commander/idol and it is a priceless experience. The amazing food is a great addition to this experience for me. 😋

About the food: Simply fantastic! The dishes are fresh, authentic and prepared with a lot of love. The meze selection in particular was a real highlight – every single starter was a taste experience! The freshly baked flatbread from the stone oven was perfect, crispy and fragrant. The grilled specialties are incredibly tender and aromatic, and I was particularly impressed by the lamb dishes. The selection of drinks is also impressive, with fine Turkish wines and classic Raki perfectly rounding off the culinary experience. Overall, my visit to the Ali Bey Restaurant was a pleasure at the highest level. If you are looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in Munich, you should definitely not miss this restaurant. This is my second time here (girls' night) and for the second time I am impressed by the food and especially the service. The service is very friendly. You don't have to wait long for the food and the Lavas bread is a MUST :) Tesekkürler for another entertaining and wonderful evening.

Seven of us went to Ali Bey to have Iftar, unfortunately we were not offered any dates to break the fast, which is common in many other restaurants. The food was good, but unfortunately the portions were saved. In the end, a few of us ordered a cay, all of which were billed. In my opinion, with a bill of almost €300, you could have put it on the house, as is usually the case. So unfortunately all in all a bit disappointing.

Everything was very good but 4.50 for the bread is a no-go. I ate there with 5 people and left €300 there, everything was perfect but I feel like I'm being ripped off for the bread.

I had dinner there yesterday. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it because I ordered a Turkish grill plate and, firstly, it came without bread and unfortunately there wasn't any salad that came with the dish. The boss asked me if I wanted Lavas bread and charged me extra for it even though I automatically had to get bread with the grill plate. There wasn't Ayran at first and a few minutes later there was suddenly Ayran a miracle :/ 2 drinks, Lavas bread and grill plate 44€ too expensive The whole concept isn't right here. Once and never again.

Disappointing and completely overpriced – never again! We had great expectations of the Ali Bey in Munich, but unfortunately we were completely disappointed. The food was way too expensive for what was on offer - the taste was just average, the portions were tiny and definitely not worth the money. In addition, the service was outrageous: we had to wait an incredible 50 minutes for our food without anyone taking care of us. The waiter was extremely unfriendly and even took my plate away from me even though I wasn't finished yet! For this price you expect not only good food, but also decent service - neither of which were available here. My friends and I are extremely disappointed and are guaranteed to never visit this restaurant again. Absolutely not recommended!

My mom and I did a whirlwind trip through Germany and Austria last year, and one evening we ate here. I really wanted to have a big platter of Turkish appetizers, and they offer exactly that. We learned that they do prefer reservations, but as we showed up right when they opened for dinner and they weren't busy yet, they let us eat. The food was amazing, and they were super kind and attentive. I ordered a schwipp schwapp and they even put an orange slice in it, which was so tasty. I really appreciated them being so accommodating.

Been here again for a long time and wasn't disappointed. Very fast service, very good value for money and Turkish specialties of the finest quality. I was really excited. Everything was wonderful in terms of taste and the way the food was presented.👌

I tried lentil soup, hot liver and shepherd's roast, in general the service was very attentive and I think I liked the food very much despite my hunger, thanks to the restaurant staff, they were curious about my opinion, I didn't think of it at the time, but let me write it down now, I'm not a gourmet, but when I compared it with the ones I tried before and liked, if it were me, I would remove the onion from the liver. I would reduce the amount of liver a little and serve it as a leaf liver with a really good quality butter, without burning the butter. The coating and meat were very delicious, especially the cumin ratio, the roasted shepherd was a bit bland, but in general the dish itself is like that, maybe I was looking for the taste of sautéed meat with lots of tomato paste.

My last visit to Ali Bey Restaurant was different than what I'm used to from previous visits. While the service was usually extremely friendly and attentive, this time the staff seemed rather uninvolved. The food was OK, but by no means outstanding. One could not speak of fine Turkish cuisine. The bread, for which the restaurant is actually known, was particularly disappointing: the lavas, which usually comes out of the wood-fired oven, was flat and unappealing this time. The waiter's humor when paying was also very irritating - at the expense of the guests. That seemed inappropriate and didn't fit the atmosphere of a restaurant that has a certain standard. Fine is different.

A really great restaurant. Every dish was incredibly tasty and very high quality. The service was great, everyone was really friendly. We had the Beyti, Ciger and Hamsi were thrilled with the quality and the taste. We would be happy to do so again at any time. Top recommendation.
