Ich muss leider sagen, dass ich von meinem Besuch hier wirklich extrem enttäuscht bin. Ich gehe normalerweise gerne Döner essen und erwarte für den Preis zumindest ein ordentliches Essen mit vernünftiger Qualität – aber das, was ich hier bekommen habe, war eine absolute Frechheit. Bestellt hatte ich einen Döner mit Kalbfleisch, bekommen habe ich allerdings Hähnchen. Wenn ein Laden schon nicht das liefert, was bestellt wurde, ist das an sich schon ärgerlich – aber der Rest hat die Sache leider noch schlimmer gemacht. Der Döner hat praktisch nach nichts geschmeckt. Es fehlte komplett an Würze, Geschmack und irgendwie allem, was einen guten Döner ausmacht. Es war einfach nur trocken und langweilig, als hätte man irgendwelche Zutaten ohne Liebe zusammengeworfen. Dazu kam leider noch die Art und Weise, wie der Mitarbeiter den Döner zubereitet hat. Man hatte wirklich das Gefühl, dass absolut keine Motivation oder Interesse vorhanden war. Der Döner wurde mit einer solchen Lustlosigkeit gemacht, dass einem schon beim Zuschauen der Appetit vergangen ist. Für den Preis, den man mittlerweile für einen Döner bezahlt, erwarte ich deutlich mehr: korrektes Fleisch, vernünftige Qualität, Geschmack und wenigstens ein bisschen Mühe bei der Zubereitung. Stattdessen habe ich hier einen Döner bekommen, der nicht der Bestellung entsprach, nach nichts geschmeckt hat und bei dem man sich am Ende fragt, wofür man eigentlich bezahlt hat. Sehr schade, weil ein Dönerladen eigentlich mit einfachen Dingen überzeugen kann wie gut gewürztes und schmeckendes Fleisch. Ich werde definitiv nicht nochmal wiederkommen und kann diesen Laden so leider nicht weiterempfehlen

Das Essen war hervorragend zubereitet und frisch. Die Leute sind sehr freundlich, der Service war gut und das Essen wirklich lecker. Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant wärmstens, um authentische türkische Küche zu genießen.

Heute 14.03.2026, wie immer sehr lecker und authentisch, guter Service, türkische Gäste beim Fastenbrechen und die bekannten Gesichter beim Kochen/Servieren in diesem sympathischem türkischen Restaurant.

Also ich fand den Döner echt lecker.

Ich schwöre, es schmeckt überhaupt nicht nach Hartweizen und ist außerdem sehr ölig… 30 Minuten nach dem Essen musste ich mich übergeben… 🥵😵‍💫

Ein guter Ort. Gemessen an der Anzahl der Gäste und ihrer Zusammensetzung – überwiegend Türken – ist das Essen recht authentisch. Ich war zufrieden.

Der Falafel schmeckte scheußlich und sah nicht einmal wie Falafel aus.

Ich wollte den Reis separat bestellen, anstatt ihn mit dem Essen zu servieren, aber dafür wurden mir 4 Euro extra berechnet. Dabei war es derselbe Reis! Ich bestellte außerdem Tas Kekabı (eine Art türkisches Gebäck). Das Essen war sehr schlecht und altbacken. Die Preise sind zudem völlig überteuert. Das Personal ist gleichgültig und unhöflich. Ich würde das Restaurant auf keinen Fall empfehlen. Für diesen Preis gibt es in München viele andere Lokale, in denen man hervorragend essen kann.

Teuer, aber geschmacklos, die Angestellten waren unfreundlich. Ich kaufte einen Döner Kebab, der kaum Fleisch enthielt. Ich setzte mich hinein und aß ihn. Die Person an der Kasse, der Mitarbeiter im Restaurant und derjenige, der den Döner schnitt, waren alle sehr unhöflich. Vielleicht hatten sie an dem Tag einen schlechten Tag, aber ich bin Kunde und erwarte guten Geschmack und Freundlichkeit. Leider war beides nicht der Fall.

Das Fleisch war geschmacklos, die scharfe Soße war wohl eher für Kinder, und die Portion war für den Preis viel zu klein! Das Personal servierte, was es wollte, nicht das, was wir bestellt hatten!

Ich bin hineingegangen, um zu fragen, wann sie schließen, da Heiligabend ist. Sie sagten „Kein Englisch“ und ignorierten mich den Rest der Zeit, also bin ich gegangen. Ich war von der Behandlung enttäuscht.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Das Ali Baba in der Schillerstraße ist sicher keine Haute Cuisine – und genau das will es auch gar nicht sein. Vielmehr ist es ein ehrliches, bodenständiges Restaurant, das durch etwas besticht, das heutzutage leider selten geworden ist: aufrichtige Freundlichkeit, Herzlichkeit und echte Gastlichkeit. Der Geschäftsführer ist ausgesprochen nett, aufmerksam und stets präsent. Das gesamte Team vermittelt das Gefühl, wirklich willkommen zu sein – ganz egal, ob man zum ersten Mal kommt oder schon häufiger da war. Besonders erwähnenswert ist auch das Personal für das Abräumen und den Service: immer freundlich, aufmerksam und höflich. Für diese Haltung ist ein Trinkgeld hier wirklich mehr als verdient. Schade ist eigentlich nur eines: Das Restaurant ist oft nicht so gut besucht, wie es es verdient hätte. Denn Ali Baba hat für jeden eine offene Tür, ein offenes Ohr und eine angenehm ungezwungene Atmosphäre. Gerade in den Abendstunden ist es ein perfekter Ort für einen entspannten Tagesabschluss – ein guter Döner, frische Beilagen, unkompliziert, lecker und zuverlässig. Stammgäste scheinen hier wirklich bekannt zu sein und werden entsprechend herzlich empfangen, ohne dass neue Gäste sich ausgeschlossen fühlen. Im Gegenteil: Wünsche werden ernst genommen, man geht auf den Gast ein, und man spürt, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Wer keinen Sterne-Tempel sucht, sondern ehrliches Essen, freundlichen Service und eine warme Atmosphäre, ist im Ali Baba genau richtig. Ein Lokal, das mehr Aufmerksamkeit und mehr Gäste absolut verdient hätte. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder.

Tasty food in cheap prices for Munich. The restaurants has many tables inside and is next to the Central Station metro.

A rip-off. They only accept card payments over €10, and then they immediately try to push expensive meat dishes on you. I find that pretty cheeky.

I ate a kebab here and was very disappointed. The prices are completely overpriced, the food was a real mess, and it tasted terrible. Absolutely not recommended.

16 euros for food is extremely expensive.

I was there on 16.09 and 19.09 2025 and will never go there again. The food is too fatty, simply poured in oil and after the second visit I got total stomach pains from the köfte sauce and liver and two days of diarrhea. I should actually inform the health department, simply awful.

It's far too expensive for the Dürüm to be so tiny. Additionally, the food was so carelessly prepared that it was impossible to enjoy it without getting dirty from head to toe. I would never visit this shop again and recommend everyone to go to another kebab shop in Munich, because it can't get any worse.

For 10€ you can eat really well

So that was the worst decision of my life. I'll write it off as a lesson learned and make it the top 1 restaurant that I will never visit again. It's a disgrace both in terms of price and treatment. It's a disgrace. I wish I could not give a star to express my displeasure.

We were looking for a kebab shop with a toilet. We saw that this one was rated 3.5/5, and we went there. We quickly understood the ratings: the meat is okay, the quantity is rather small, the dürüm is cold. The cashier is just as cold. The fries are expensive but delicious.

Even one star is too much for them. Disappointing experience – unfortunately not recommended I recently went to Alibaba in Munich and had a very disappointing experience. First, I only ordered a simple kebab skewer – no side dish, no bread, nothing at all. What I got was an extremely greasy, thin skewer, the likes of which I've never seen before. Truly disappointing in both quality and quantity. Afterward, I ordered two durum kebabs with the same meat to take out. When I got the bill, I was very surprised: For the simple skewer without anything, I had to pay the same amount as for a full durum, i.e., €10. What's the difference? But it gets worse: The bill suddenly included an Adana kebab for €17, which I didn't even order – just like the tea, which was also charged. I only ordered two durum kebabs and a single skewer – nothing more, nothing less. In the end, there was complete confusion in the store: It wasn't clear whether I had ordered takeout or not, and no one could give me a proper answer or explain why I had to pay so much, or why the wrong items were listed on the bill. Completely confusing billing, poor quality meat, a lack of communication – and the feeling of paying more than I ordered. One star is honestly too many.

Still the best in Munich for 30 years

The kebab plate was unfortunately a disappointment. The meat tasted like leftovers from the day before – dry and tough. The side dishes were also rather uninspiring and lacking in flavor. I would have expected considerably more for the price.

Out of 20 kebabs we visited in the city, this was probably the worst one. The atmosphere is great, the meat is cut by hand with a knife, but we all agreed that it was absolutely tasteless and the quality was very low. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

I wasn't sure if the Kalbfleisch sandwich was good. The meat had no flavor or salt. I didn't understand what I was eating. It would probably be wrong to compare it to doner in Turkey. If you are going to order, don't pay in advance. The 5 people who came after me got their doner without paying, I had to wait for them because I paid in advance. When I explained this to the guy who was cutting the doner, he got angry and threw my sandwich in front of me as if he was going to throw it in my face.

Unfortunately it was a very bad restaurant, we couldn't eat anything, our stomachs were upset, it didn't look like a doner kebab, the staff was dirty, I definitely don't recommend it.

I found very absurd comments as a Turkish national. What you expect from a restaurant like Ali Baba in the middle of nowhere. I believe you expect 5 star service like holiday villages in Antalya or bullshit Nusret that you pour a lot of Money and get your deserved quality…COME ON. This is real world. What you pay What you get. Soup and Börek is nice based on restaurant standart. WC is not GOOD should be clean every hour . Ambiance is ehhh not bad.

A bit drab looking place and the food wasn't amazing either. The whole thing was pretty tasteless. There are a lot of locals as customers and the owner's (?) relatives or acquaintances gather at the back table. Menu only in German, no beer.

It was the worst (Börek) I've eaten so far. There is a sharp foreign body in the bread that can hurt your intestines, and I showed it to the shop owner and his statement about what it could be and that it could be normal. And then I got a large black tea from what wasn't cooked. And then I still had to pay it. That's why it was the last time I ate there.

The food is simply wonderful. Every time we are in Munich we visit Ali Baba.

Unfortunately, I had a craving for baklava, so I decided that Kaufland had 5 slices for 2.5 euros, so I wouldn't eat it and eat it properly. Anyway, I looked for a place and found this place. Baklava looked good. I went and bought baklava. 4 small slices cost 6 euros (expensive). At an Arab restaurant, a large slice costs 1 euro each.😅 I said whatever, let me try it. I swear, the dried baklava in kaufland was better than that. Unfortunately I will never stop by again. The top of the baklava is okay, but the bottom is hard and moldy. They gave me a plastic spoon and it was broken. Well, you can't buy wooden spoons. If you buy them in bulk, you'll get a cheap price of 0.05 or so. The only good thing I saw was the packaging.

I have never been in a place where I felt so worthless in my life. The person who took our order was a foreigner and did not understand Turkish properly. Ali Baba is an oriental snack bar located near the main train station. We were there after 9 p.m. and were greeted very friendly and looked after. The food was good and the price was reasonable for being close to the train station and Munich. I rate this place as a snack bar and therefore don't compare it to restaurants.

The service is irresponsible and disastrously slow. Therefore only 1 star. You would have preferred to leave the store after waiting 15 minutes. The only thing that kept me there was hunger. If possible, avoid it if you need kebab.
