I've rarely experienced such delicious food and such good service. Even the vitello tonnato we had as a starter was the best I've ever eaten 🥰

I'm happy to pay more for good quality. But the portion sizes are simply outrageous for the price. My sister ordered pasta from a Parmesan wheel WITHOUT truffle and paid the same price as with. I find that truly unacceptable. We're talking €20 for three forkfuls of pasta with cheese. Like I said, good quality or not, if you don't even get full, then you might as well not order. On the positive side, the tiramisu was excellent, and the service was very attentive.

A 4.9 rating is way too high! Ordering food and being completely forgotten, even though I paid €38 for a few pieces of meat?? An hour and a half without food, and then the answer that the restaurant is full???? Hello???? What kind of place is this? If I'm supposed to pay €150 for a bottle of wine and two meals, I expect to be served!!!! I've eaten at many restaurants, sometimes paying bills of €600-€800!!! And I've always been satisfied!!! The excuses I heard in this restaurant were the worst I've ever experienced anywhere in the world!!!! I left the restaurant hungry and with €105 left there!!!!! Totally unprofessional!!!!

We arrived without a reservation and were greeted very warmly with our dog. Excellent service, always attentive, and there were great dishes to choose from in addition to the regular menu. The food was very good, everything was perfect. We'd be happy to go back.

Very nice atmosphere, Essen very good, the wine was classy, everything perfect. Terrific service, the chef was a joke. Everything was perfect. A pleasant atmosphere. The flavors of my pasta al limone were a flavor bomb. The lemon, the piceli, and the fish were perfect.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. We had to wait over an hour for our food – and that was with only a few customers in the restaurant. When the food finally arrived, the portion was tiny – more like an appetizer. And all of that for €25? This is absolutely terrible value for money. The taste was okay, but definitely not enough to justify the long wait and the price. We probably won't be back again.

It remains our favorite Italian restaurant in the area. The classic dishes on the menu, like vitello tonnato, are absolutely fantastic, but the daily specials always top everything! They feature true masterpieces of Italian fine dining, and the food always tastes simply amazing. The service is always excellent, and the chef is simply the perfect host. We always enjoy coming here.

Had a date there, first visit. They take good care of you, and the waitress and waitress are attentive. The menu has a good selection of high-quality Italian dishes. The drinks menu with aperitifs is well-structured. The wine list is very extensive. The starter and main course came quickly and were very tasty. Definitely recommended for people who enjoy authentic, high-quality Italian food, and a good place for a date with two people.

Heard that this restaurant claimed to be the best Italian restaurant in the area. I would say, their service is way better than the food. Don't get me wrong, food here is of course good, but their service is provided in the way you feel like being cherished. Except the food, there's a river and hundreds years old water mill right by the restaurant, somehow gives you a getaway atmosphere.

We went to Alfredo's for a romantic dinner. The restaurant is tastefully and elegantly decorated; chef Alfredo is very friendly and greets his guests personally. There was a high-quality selection of different dishes, including meat, fish, pasta, and appetizers. There was also a daily specials menu with recommendations. The service was very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive or careless. Not your typical Italian restaurant around the corner, but a high-quality Italian restaurant with a high standard of quality and satisfaction, a great place to visit for a special occasion. The presentation of the dishes was also very beautiful, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. We were very satisfied and would gladly return.

It's not for nothing that Alfredo's "Alte Mühle" won the "My Local – Your Local" award! We've been coming to the "Alte Mühle" for years, and for years we've been thrilled with the food, the atmosphere, and the service. If there were six stars... you would get them! As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted and felt very welcome. The Sicilian caponata with burrata was as delicious as on holiday in Sicily. The spaghetti with beetroot and the sea bass with vegetables (sorry forgot the photo) were delicious! The dessert at the end is the crowning glory. We will definitely come again, absolute recommendation!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. We stayed at a hotel in Reutlingen and that's where we got the recommendation. There's nothing to complain about in terms of the ambience, service or food. Exemplary concept. The boss himself reads out the daily menu on a chalk board and explains it. All in all, only recommended for anyone who intends to enjoy it all. Die Einrichtung ist gut und es gibt neben der Speisekarte spezielle Tages-/Wochenangebote auf einer Tafel, die vom Eigentümer Alfredo oder seinem Personal erklärt werden. Die Speisen sind hervorragend zubereitet und man merkt die Fähigkeiten des Kochs sowohl durch die Sensorik, wie auch durch die Optik. Die Auswahl an Weinen ist auch sehr gut. Die Einrichtung hat sowohl emotionale Komponenten, wie auch elegante Elemente. Die großen Bilder an der Wand sind akustische Dämpfer, da angeblich, wie Alfredo erklärte, sonst das Echo im ganzen Restaurant klar zu hören wäre. Aber mit der großen Fläche der Wände und der hohen Decke, bleibt trotzdem ein Geräuschpegel, der aber die Stimmung hebt, weil es zufriedene Gäste sind, die sich offensichtlich wohl fühlen. Man muss reservieren, das Lokal ist sehr gut besucht, schon ab 17:00 Uhr! Hier werden wir wieder einen Abend genießen.

On our last visit, our portions were slightly smaller than those at the next table. Dessert, e.g. tiramisu, wasn't my thing. You can do it better, like with "My Local..." We'll still come back

Been there several times and it's always a pleasure! Alfredo greets you as if you have known each other for years, you immediately feel at home and the owner himself always comes with his current card including a recommendation. This is how I imagine “going out for a good meal”! I can't find any criticism that I could make about the staff, the food and the wine recommendations. It may be a bit noisy downstairs at times, but there is an upper area where it is much quieter. No problem getting a place upon request. Really great restaurant with an incredibly charming and warm owner. We would love to come back! Thank you for the great experiences so far!

Super tasty place! I recommend booking a table for busy evenings (Fri-Sun), but we were lucky to get one without a reservation on a Tuesday evening. The pasta with shrimp and mushrooms was absolutely amazing, and the panna cotta was just as delicious! Great service and a wide selection of seafood on the menu. Would definitely come back again!

A big drawback was the atmosphere: As newcomers, we were seated at a table in a secluded corner without a passage or window, which gave the feeling of being excluded.
