ALFA - Echte griechische Küche in Weiden i.d.OPf.

I was recently at Alfa in Weiden. The reception was super friendly, the food was really delicious and fresh, and the service was very attentive. I'll definitely be back, highly recommended.

The food is really delicious, especially the see food. The calamary is always soft and well made, not chewy like in many other restaurants. I was there already 2 times and always enjoyed the culinary there. Recommended.

We had a company party with 17 people, and everyone loved it. From the food to the ambiance, everything was lovely. Everyone had plenty of space at the table, and the wait wasn't long. Thanks, Team Alfa We'll be back 👌

After a long afternoon of walking and diving, hubby and I were hungry and weren't sure what to eat...stopped in here and wow, what a vibe! One of those restaurants where the atmosphere is palpable, it was packed on a Wednesday after 8pm when we arrived and luckily we were seated immediately. I'm assuming that a reservation is usually best. The buzzing of the guests, restaurant layout and lovely decor really makes for a winning combination! Our food was fantastic, a really good, authentic TENDER lamb shank that just melted in our mouths...and the desert was really lovely. Service at the beginning of our visit was great, very attentive but not too much. But as the night wore on and the place began emptying, the service fell off a little...my only gripe. But all-in-all a great place. Even the coffee is brilliant! Definitely will be back when in the area again.

The restaurant itself is very nice (both inside and out). The service was also very friendly. Unfortunately, there were a few less-than-perfect aspects of the food; for example, the octopus was very salty. However, the lamb was truly excellent. The appetizers on the menu are also all fantastic. Overall, though, it was very good.

Great food and attentive service. I felt comfortable and will be back. :-) Edit: The restaurant has deteriorated considerably. The value for money is simply outrageous. €26.30 for the "fish platter" in the photo... The potatoes were dripping with fat, the sea bream was watery. No salad or anything else. €7.90 for the baked zucchini, for a few sorry coins, sorry, just outrageous. I definitely won't be ordering again.

Modern, stylish decor. Friendly, professional service. The food is excellent. The fresh pasta with scampi was perfect, an absolute delight. I visited for the second time and once again felt very comfortable. I will definitely be back.

Once and never again. P-L ratio outrageous! I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I unfortunately have to make an exception. The price-performance ratio is catastrophic: the portions are tiny, the quality of the food is mediocre at best, and even a simple side salad costs €4 extra - completely excessive. I'm happy to pay more for good food, but there's just nothing right here. Definitely the first and last time for us. P.S.: The calamari gyros plate shown costs €19.10: 3 large tablespoons of rice, 3 calamari, a large tablespoon of tzatziki, a handful of gyros; the 3 zucchini meatballs? €9.90.

10 fries, a small spoonful of tzatziki, a piece of liver (3x5 cm), a mini heap of tomato rice, three pieces of suflaki (2.5x2.5 cm) and a bifteki for just under 20 euros is outrageous. The farmer's salad had far too little dressing and only came after we had already eaten half of the main course. A children's portion is much larger in other restaurants and you don't really get full. You can't have a normal conversation in the restaurant because it's too loud. The three stars are only there because the food there is really delicious. We used to like it better there. Maybe think about increasing the size of the side dishes such as fries, rice and tzatzikki.

Hands down, my favorite Greek restaurant by far. Every appetizer is unique and bursting with flavor. I order two at a minimum plus my main dish. Leftovers make a wonderful midnight snack or next day lunch. Parking can be a pain unless you get lucky and catch someone leaving but that's because they are so popular.

The Alfa is now our favorite Greek restaurant in Weiden. Modern furnishings, friendly staff and not overly large, but more than tasty portions. Whether meat or fish, everything is always cooked to perfection. The side dishes are always good and the starters and desserts are great.

We were here for dinner today. Unfortunately the service and food weren't that good. We first stood at the entrance for 5 minutes to be taken to our reserved seat. After a long time our food was received. After the table next to us, who came after us, had long since received their food, we became a little impatient. When we ordered the next drinks (50 minutes after ordering) we asked where the food was - and it was finally brought. The gyro was a bit burnt and the farmer's salad was missing spices and dressing. Overall, we were disappointed that there was no apology, even an ouzo or espresso on the house would have been nice...

Food was very, very tasty and really sufficient. Four of us had dinner, mostly tapas. Great tastes, different small dishes, something for everyone. The courtyard is just a courtyard, comfortable chairs and a pleasant, quiet atmosphere. Service is always on point, a schnapps in between and we continue with the meal 😁 Would love to go there again. The price is a little higher but absolutely within the range.

Reserved for 7:00 p.m. and got the starter at 8:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the salads were forgotten for the main course, so we were of course asked (when we were finished eating) if we still wanted to eat the salads. We've been there twice now. Once as a group of four on a holiday, and once as a group of two on a normal Saturday evening. First of all, I have to praise the food! I love it! THIS is authentic Greek cuisine. The gyro isn't just some thrown-together meat junk, but genuinely delicious meat. Very tender. I recommend the baked gyro with Metaxa sauce (which really tastes like Metaxa). The appetizers and tapas tempt you to order way too much because you want to try everything... :) ...and they taste really delicious, too ;) The main courses aren't particularly large. But if you order a starter and a main course, you'll generally be well-filled. The service is good even on busy days. An empty glass is usually noticed quickly, and more drinks are offered immediately. Overall: The ambiance, as well as the seating and the tableware, immediately show guests that this is a classy place!

A first-class Greek restaurant with outstanding food and first-class service. Nothing is run-of-the-mill here; the dishes are of very high quality and authentic. For me, this is the best place in Weiden.

The liver with mashed potatoes and tzatziki was delicious, and the grilled octopus, prepared this way, was a delicious new take on the flavor. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a bit drafty in winter, at least in the front part, because the cold comes in from the entrance door.

The service is first-class; the staff is extremely friendly and attentive, making the visit a special experience. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, perfect for an evening with friends or family. Alfa is definitely one of the best places in Weiden for Greek cuisine. I would love to come back.

Special loving treatment of the guest, whether small or large, especially by the boss Tasso! We felt very comfortable and have already pre-ordered again.

Very great atmosphere, very tastefully decorated. The food was superbly prepared. Staff very attentive. Eating took a little long, sometimes very noisy surroundings and guests shouting If you sit in the back, it's so dark even during the day that you can't enjoy your meal with your eyes, which bothers me a lot. In addition, the door to the toilet is only partially closed by guests, so if you sit nearby it becomes quite uncomfortable.

Upon entering the restaurant, the pleasant ambiance immediately struck us; we felt at home. Unfortunately, the five of us were seated at a table where it wasn't possible to fit drinks, side salads, and main courses in, so we had to eat the salad beforehand. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't outstanding either. The worst part came at the end: We wanted to pay by card, and something wasn't working. The waiter then dismissed us with the words, "Can you finally pay in cash? I have other work to do." That's unacceptable, and the prices were also very high. We won't be visiting this place again.

Hello everyone, I recently had dinner there again and would definitely recommend this Greek restaurant. Food tastes great, just a little too little for €19. There is nothing to complain about in terms of service. Finally, of course, the ouzo on the house. And the ambience is also beautifully decorated.

Food and ambience 5 stars The staff was very hectic, I didn't feel welcome. They didn't even ask if you wanted something else to drink. A small side salad for 4 euros extra, which you can get elsewhere. I find it extremely expensive. So prices are really steep for the portions. I won't come anymore.

The food, especially the fish, is amazing. The terrace is now actually overcrowded, but that's acceptable for the food. It can get unpleasantly loud inside.

The food is very delicious. Although the order took a little longer, the wait was worth it.

We were lucky that other guests on the terrace gave us a table and two chairs, as two people had canceled. The waiter wasn't very happy about this. He wanted to send us out, even though other guests had already paid. No customer service. The food was good and plentiful.

The prices are a bit higher, but the Greek cuisine is excellent.

It was our one year anniversary, and this place was just perfect to complete our marriage to each other.

I value the quality of the ingredients and appropriate preparation. This also includes the overall visual impression. I go there regularly with family or business partners and none of my companions have ever been disappointed. That speaks for itself. It goes without saying that I have never been disappointed, but on the contrary, I have been pleasantly surprised. I've been really disappointed lately.

As always, we are very satisfied and would love to come back!

Cozy ambience - bright furniture with dimmed lights. Also perfect for a romantic dinner for two. The service is attentive and friendly. The food is fresh and beautifully and contemporaryly prepared. The meat has a great grilled color and good roasted flavors, so that it is still juicy and tender on the inside. Price/performance ratio is fine and absolutely appropriate. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We were just out walking and looking for a good place to eat and this place delivered. I got the lamb shank with potatoes, and it was delicious. I am definitely trying to go back and eat again before heading back to the States. The atmosphere, the staff, and overall experience were top of the line.

Essen war tip top. Gyros in Metaxa sosse war ausreichend viel und sehr lecker. Der Service war gut und gut organisiert. Die Speisen waren heiss und schnell serviert. Wir kommen wieder und das Restaurant kann man sehr empfehlen.

Einer der besten Griechen in Weiden. Nähe Landgericht. Große Auswahl an Vorspeisen, Hauptspeisen mit Rind, Schwein, Lamm und Fisch! Es gibt Portionen für die Kleinen und auch Vegetarier finden etwas zu essen! Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich! Im Sommer kann man gemütlich im Biergarten im Innenhof sitzen. Das Ambiente innen wie außen modern und stilvoll! Das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker und den Ouzo für die guten Freunde gab es noch oben drauf. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
