The waiter was really unfriendly. Orders took forever and there weren't enough menus. When we only gave a small tip, the waiter got angry and gave us €5 in 20ct pieces!!!!! But cocktails were very tasty. Unfortunately, the service has really deteriorated over the years.

We were there today, Sunday morning, to have breakfast - but that will also be our last visit there. The selection of side dishes for the small breakfast is okay, but the quality of the baked goods in particular is really cheap. An additional croissant is charged at €3.40, which would be fine if it was at least of good frozen quality, but this is more reminiscent of the baked croissants from the aluminum tray at the discount store. Likewise the bread rolls served. The “pancakes” had nothing to do with pancakes and are more like shortcrust pastry, totally dry and cold on the inside. The waiter said he would pass it on to the kitchen - even though the entire portion was returned, it was charged in full... Customer service is different... The highlight, however, came when paying. The total according to the waiter was €46.80, with a tip we paid €50.00. When we asked for the receipt, it turned out that the amount was €41.80! I don't want to assume that it was intentional, but even if he made a mistake or the customer misheard it, it should be clear that you don't tip more than €8.00 for breakfast and you could ask again... that's really not possible. It is a mystery to me how the operator's reactions to reviews justify the high prices by high and selected quality... The products used look cheap, taste cheap and are really grossly overpriced!! The selection on the market square is large enough, please choose a different café than Alexandre

We had breakfast at Alexandre and loved it. You get a lot for your money. It was very tasty and very rich, and the coffee was also very good. The service was also good and we were very satisfied. The toilets were also very clean. The atmosphere was also nice and overall we really enjoyed the visit. We'd love to come back 😍

Unfortunately, we have often experienced long waiting times or not paying attention to hand signals. Food is recommended for the location. Ambience contemporary and appealing.

It is questionable where all the money that you pay for small portions that decrease in quality over time goes. Unfortunately, not the staff - they are spread so thin at times that guests often have to wait a long time to order, but especially to pay. There also seems to be a high turnover of good staff at this restaurant. The coffee served is below average - especially at the market square, where really good coffee is served on every corner. If at least the price-performance ratio was right, there would be a star. The decor is modern and very nice!

The food tasted very good, we noticed that everything was freshly prepared and made with love! The service staff was very friendly and accommodating! We had a really nice and pleasant stay and would love to come back!

I don't think the restaurant is good at all, I ordered an Ipanema. There was a piece of lime in the Ipanema and I choked on it when I drank. Of course I said it directly!! But honestly, how does a piece of lime get in there? That's disgusting, something like that should never happen in a restaurant like that! Or ?

10 minutes passed until the order was taken and then another 25 minutes waited for the drinks... even though there was very little going on for a Saturday lunchtime. Unfortunately, that's exactly how it was on the last visits. I will definitely spend my money elsewhere in the future!

The Alexandre Restaurant in Reutlingen is a true culinary treasure! From the moment you arrive you feel in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that is both elegant and cozy. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly without being intrusive. You can immediately tell that there is attention to detail and a real passion for gastronomy here. The food was simply fantastic! The dishes are not only a visual highlight, but also a real firework in terms of taste. Every dish we tried was perfectly prepared, from the appetizers to the dessert. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely fair, especially when you consider the high quality of the food and the excellent service. One thing is certain for us: Alexandre is one of the best restaurants in Reutlingen and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Unreservedly recommended!

Very bad service, unfriendly service, dirty glasses and dishes

Today we waited at table 633 outside for 20 minutes without the waiter paying any attention to us. Although all the tables around us were paid for and served. You have the feeling that the service staff are deliberately ignoring you?! We then actively approached another service person and he then took our order. 3 ice creams and 1 iced coffee. Even though the store wasn't even 1/2 full, I waited another 30 minutes. When we asked at the counter the lady just shrugged her shoulders?! Then finally the melted sundaes arrived. I haven't experienced such bad service in a long time. It's a shame, it could be really comfortable here in the great outdoor area. We used to go there regularly but today we've lost interest.

Worst service ever (for the umpteenth time - we tried again and again because we like the location itself and we have already been satisfied guests) Compared to other restaurants, here you are only looked at (5 times) and not served. After 15 minutes of looking at it strangely and not being served, we went to another restaurant and were served in under 1 minute. THAT, dear Alexandre team, is customer friendliness/hospitality.

I ordered a yogurt-strawberry dream. Lt. The ice cream menu featured yogurt and strawberry ice cream as well as fresh strawberries. A hollow hip was also there. A small bowl then came that contained some ice cream, yoghurt and a wafer roll. the fresh strawberries were on the edge of the bowl. As you can clearly see, it is a cut strawberry. I find that misleading. And charging €9.50 for it is already usury. Even though the ice cream is from the Lautertal, it tasted like any other ice cream. We had already noticed that the other restaurants around the market square were better attended. Now I know why. When I look at what I get for ice cream sundaes elsewhere for €9.50, I couldn't recommend Alexandre more.

We had to wait a long time until we were served. We ordered salmon bread and pancakes with Nutella and banana. The pancakes were ok but far too few for the price and the consistency wasn't that tasty. The salmon bread was inedible because it was so salty. Finally, if you find a good place to eat, Alexandria is not the right one.

Parking spaces are available for a fee in the town hall parking garage. So up and in. Payment possible by card or cash. Staff friendly and attentive. Modern furnished. Seating available indoors and outdoors. Play area for children. Food and drinks are brought very quickly. Daily menus available with fixed weekly offerings and dishes that change daily.

Pancakes smelled and tasted like they had been bathed in frying oil. I've never had such bad pancakes. Inedible, I would never order again. The burger was okay.

We wanted to sit outside with 12 people, the staff didn't agree with it, he said I couldn't put together so many tables for you even though there were free ones. Very nice and efficient service force! Unfortunately the kitchen is next to it! After waiting 45 minutes we canceled our 3 portions of fries and 2 mini burgers! It doesn't work at all!

The food is acceptable, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waitresses are unfriendly, avoid the guests and seem annoyed if you want to order another drink after an hour. Empty glasses and dishes piling up on the tables don't seem to bother them. During several visits we often had to wait long and thirsty if something was missing or needed to be reordered. It was almost a gamble as to whether and when our orders would even arrive. We used to go to Alexandre regularly for breakfast, but after these experiences we definitely won't eat there again.

Went to the opening game of the European Championship. Unfortunately, the screen was a disaster. Half a minute to a minute delayed results. A pity. Everything else was great. The game broadcast and image quality need to be worked on.

If a group of almost 30 people comes, I actually expect a waitress or two to be assigned or planned for at least at the beginning. The service was subpar. Empty glasses on the tables that no attention was paid to, only when you call and are then passed on more badly than rightly and the food came from the kitchen completely at will. Of course you have more to do with the lunchtime stress, I'm aware of that, but you can plan something like that sensibly. The food itself was OK. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and especially the service varies greatly. I've had consistently positive experiences, but also some very negative ones. In my opinion, especially after the renovation, things went quite downhill. I used to like it, but after my recent experiences I prefer to go to another location.

The burgers looked really tasty at first glance. Unfortunately, it was just a matter of appearance. The burger was relatively small and unfortunately very dry. You have to order the fries (unsalted) for just under 5 euros, but you get 13 pieces, 5 of which were rock hard. (see original photo) We stayed in the restaurant for about an hour and a half, during which time no one thought it was necessary to clear the table. For comparison, I added an original photo from a Stuttgart burger shop to show what a really good burger looks like. And all of this on a plate with a good portion of fries.

Dear Mr. Grauer, I have nothing to complain about with the food or ambience, but please hire more staff. The waiting time was much too long the second time, although I can't blame the cellars because 3 waiters can't serve the entire restaurant.

Bad experience with dishonest waiter “Tony” I recently had an extremely unpleasant encounter with a waiter named Toni at Alexandre, which really spoiled my enjoyment of the meal. When I received the bill, I noticed that there were some items on it that I hadn't ordered. When I asked the waiter about it, he tried to turn me down, claiming it was a misunderstanding. However, when I asked further, his tone became rude and he insisted that I had to pay for the additional items. It was obvious he was trying to rip me off. The experience was disappointing and severely shook my trust in the restaurant. I certainly won't be returning and can only advise others to be careful when eating there.

I can only recommend it and it's not difficult to find. Super delicious food

Wait 30 minutes until you are served, tables are neither worn out nor cleared away, people are constantly walking past you, dry economy, you could take at least twice as much per table, you were unlucky, then you left

After 20 minutes, a waitress intercepted us on the way and asked us to clear the table that still had the glasses from the previous guests and to take our order. We drank 1 drink in 1.5 hours because no one of Drär's employees felt responsible. The ice cream is not recommended.

It's great what they conjured up from the Alexandre, congratulations Mr. Grauer 🤗 really cool to enjoy the evening, but you can be forgiven for taking a little longer because the shop is full. It's nice that Reutlingen might be able to get out of the house in the evening again👍 and then there was a cocktail 🍸 happy hour from 10 p.m. coohool!

It's all about the service - today, depending on the person, it was subpar and absolutely out of the question. Instead of apologizing you are attacked and there is no drink on the house either. Waiters who neither look at the guest nor utter a “please” or “well,” are definitely out of place in this industry. Grauer Gastro used to be able to do this much better... The move to the "Alte Bank" opposite has shown that friendliness and good service are possible when employees have fun at work.

Tarte flambée was a real disappointment as each one was still crispy and completely baked. I ate a little over half of it and then I couldn't eat it anymore. I pointed it out to the waitress and the only response was "I'll pass it on." You could have at least apologized or offered a coffee. The prices are also excessive in my opinion. Not again so soon.

My experience at Alexandre's was marred by inefficiency, dishonesty, and chaos. Upon arrival at 18:00 with my colleagues, we waited an hour just to receive our drinks, prompting a colleague to express frustration loudly. Even then, our order was forgotten, leading to the wrong drink being served to me. Despite ordering a Radler, I received a glass of beer but refrained from requesting a replacement to avoid waste. Opting for a smaller portion from the kids' menu, I settled for a Schnitzel, which was passable in taste. However, things took a turn for the worse during payment, as I discovered an overcharge. The waiter justified it by claiming an extra fee for the kids' menu, which he failed to mention when I placed the order. When I requested clarification, he could not provide any written policy, dismissing it as an unwritten rule. His nonchalant attitude towards the situation left me feeling cheated and compelled to address the issue with relevant authorities to uphold consumer rights. This experience has left a sour taste, and I have decided never to patronize this dishonest establishment again.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Hamburger haben sehr gut geschmeckt, ebenso die Süßkartoffel Pommes mit leckerem Dip dazu. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und guter Service. Gerne wieder.

Wir haften einen Tisch auf 18:30 Uhr gebucht, da wir um 20:00 Uhr eine Veranstaltung in der benachbarten Stadthalle besuchen wollten. Um 19:20 Uhr mussten wir nachfragen, wo unsere bestellte Burger bleiben. „Kommen gleich“ war die Antwort! Um 19:35 Uhr haben wir bezahlt ohne zu essen. Da hieß es „Die Burger kommen in einer Minute!“ hieß es. Wir haben dann abgelehnt, da wir es nicht eingesehen haben einen 19€-Burger in 5 Minuten zu essen! Daher kommen wir nicht wieder!

Das Frühstück (der Tomatensalat, das Rührei und die Aufstriche) war etwas fad.

We have been to the Alexandre several times now. We can recommend lunch - good options and friendly staff. Coffee tastes delicious and so do the fries for the children. Small play area available (maybe replace some things or sharpen pencils :)) However, the cleaners or the provider should clean the corners more or clean the dust threads on the ceilings or the windows with the corners. I would expect more from a restaurant here - something runs through the group - including the other restaurants.

Went there for brunch on a Sunday. Service is below all cannon. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. The dishes were piled up on the table, only when asked were they cleared away grumpily… Waitress spilled a glass of cola, no apology or replacement, only when we asked did we get a replacement cola with a stupid comment…. Food, well, a lot of room for improvement. Not much choice, poorly stocked. Others can do it better - and so ciao, let's go somewhere else :)

So everything is made of plastic, you immediately feel like you're in a garbage dump. The cutlery is open on the table, very hygienic. The mojito only tasted of water, sugar and a hint of mint. The panini was dry and bland. My recommendation: look for another store. (The service was also very rude)

Saßen 30 Minuten draußen und wurden trotz nachfragen ignoriert. Neue Kunden drinnen wurden sofort bedient.

Super gemütliches und grosses Restaurant mit leckeren Burgern. Die Bedienung war super nett, man hat gesehen, dass die Arbeit ihr Spaß macht. Wir kommen wieder.

Die Bedingungen ist wohl neben einem Grollheger mit dem falschen Fuß aufgestanden und wir wurden eine halbe Stunde Ignoriert (wir wollten etwas Bestellen) nachdem wir eine Längere Zeit auf uns Aufmerksam gemacht hatten war es soweit um die Bestellung falsch auf zu nehmen. Nachdem alles zurecht gerückt wurde war es an der Zeit die Rechnung zu begleichen.. eine viertel Stunde Später kamen die Getränke und das Essen. Als wir die Rechnung gezahlt haben (Bewusst ohne Trinkgeld) kam die Frage ob wir nie Trinkgeld geben und im Anschluss fing die Kellnerin auch noch an mit uns zu diskutieren ein absolutes no Go. Leider kann man dem Service keine Null Sterne geben.

Langweilig, teuer und es gibt keine Bio-Gerichte Standardschuppen wo man mal ein Bier trinken kann aber sonst muss es nicht sein.

Seit dem Umbau sind die Preise explodiert und die Qualität verschlechtert. Ein Paradebeispiel für die Gastronomie in Reutlingen. Pancakes die man unter einer Scheibe Toast kaum findet, extrem dunkel gebratener Bacon und der grosse Milchkaffe den es dort mal gab ist auch extrem geschrumpft. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hier in eine gewaltige Schieflage gerutscht. Das machen auch die wirklich netten und freundlichen Servicekräfte nicht wett. 45 Euro für 2 Personen mit verdünntem Orangensaft.... Sorry Leute... no go!!!!
