One of the best breakfast and breakfast buffet options, very nice staff, always friendly and attentive. Buffet was great, always filled up and if you wanted something, it was taken care of straight away. The team there is TOP on the weekend. We can only recommend that you make a reservation in advance. If not, they will see how they can help you. Happy again, keep it up!

I'm here almost weekly. So many nice waitresses. Including a super nice gentleman (Ümit, Ikmilk, and others that I would misspell)...Thank you for making me feel comfortable and welcome every time I visit Your Nesrin with the favorite salad without tomatoes :)

Unfortunately disappointing – not recommended I recently visited Alex and was unfortunately very disappointed. Even though the hall was half empty, it took a full 25 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. I didn't want to wait another 4 hours for the food after this wait, so I just ordered a Café Crema. Instead, after another 15 minutes, a cappuccino with cream came out of the spray can - why is completely unclear to me. When I politely pointed out that I hadn't ordered a cappuccino, the waitress told me that she knew better what I had ordered. Only after my friends confirmed that I had indeed ordered a black coffee did she leave, annoyed. After another 10 minutes a lukewarm, almost tea-like coffee came that was simply undrinkable. The whole evening was ruined. Service unfriendly, organization chaotic, quality poor. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Alex.

I highly recommend Alex in Bremen. The airy, glass-walled building is comfortably furnished, and you can enjoy the sun both inside and outside on the terrace or rooftop deck. Plus, the whole place is completely covered. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service was really excellent when we were there in the morning, and it was okay in the afternoon, even though it wasn't very busy.

We got a table without an appointment with a very short wait. Food service impeccable. The conditions of the medical facilities were appalling. There is a lot of room for maneuver here. If you don't have to go anywhere, you'll have a great time!

Went there briefly to have something to eat before the event. Even though it was very busy, the service was really good and it worked very quickly. Many thanks again to the nice and very funny service. We'll definitely come back again.

Disastrous quality and completely overpriced.

We were there for lunch with our children. The food came quickly and was delicious. The waiter was very friendly.

So I came from a long bike ride on March 6, 2025 at 10 a.m.... Into the shop... It was relatively busy... I wanted to be polite and not sit down straight away...which would have been possible. I first wanted to ask if it would be possible to take part in the buffet.... Although 3 tables were free and there was even a couple leaving... I don't know if it was my appearance. I was wearing normal jeans and a sporty jacket... I was rejected and told I should Waiting outside for 10 minutes... I think it's a disgrace because there were free tables... and it was extremely cold that day... The gentleman had a beard and a southern appearance... The dark-skinned waitress with the headscarf was very nice, however. I won't give this place another chance...

We had to wait 20 minutes for someone to take our order. There were only about 5 tables occupied at the time. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes for the drinks. The bartender came from outside at some point and didn't even wash his hands. Only the food was very good. It's a shame for such a restaurant...

Delicious. It would have been nice if you could have gone upstairs because it was pretty “full”.

Particular place in the center of Bremen on the Market Square... bar and restaurant with a sweet and savory choice that would rival the best Delhi Hotel in the area... so much so that they offer an All you can eat breakfast for around €15 which is therefore also valid as a lunch for those who want to visit the old town... the service is good, a little rushed but due to the large turnout in the morning. It is not possible to park the car outside the structure, but what is not missing in this beautiful city are the indoor shops... they are everywhere in the centre.

An absolutely beautiful and delicious breakfast. We were there with 4 people and we were all super satisfied. Despite the lack of staff due to illness, the guys were very nice and friendly, everything was fresh and tasty and nothing was missing. The view from the huge windows is uniquely beautiful and the location is perfect. We really enjoyed our breakfast and can highly recommend it!

A really nice place with cool vibes and modern ambience. They do have a terrace which is open during the summer time. The service is friendly and attentive. The drinks were served quick. The non alcoholic drinks were really good; specially Strawberry Basil Lino. The food is definitely good. The main highlight was Indian Chicken tikka masala ( not prepared in house ) which was very delicious. The burgers were good. We did order two vegetarian dishes; both of them were yummy. Special mention will be : Pasta Triangolo. Overall we had a nice lunch time together with the friends. Worth visiting.

We were really positively surprised! Despite the high occupancy, the service was quick and very friendly, the menu was very varied to suit every taste and the armchairs were extremely comfortable. However, you should definitely make use of the uncomplicated online reservation. An absolute tip is the pastrami sandwich - you can only get something like that in New York. 😄

Wir waren das 1. Mal zum Essen im Alex. Gut, dass wir einen Tisch reserviert hatten, denn ansonsten hätten wir keinen Platz bekommen. Wir bekamen einen Tisch im 1. Stock. Die Bedienung führte uns zum Tisch und wir konnten schnell unser Getränk bestellen, was auch ziemlich rasch serviert wurden. Die Karte gab einiges her und wir entschieden uns für einen Salat vorab, Brusketta sowie 2 Rumpsteaks - eines mit Pommes und das andere mit einer Ofenkartoffel und Salat. Das Essen wurde frisch zubereitet, was sehr angenehm ist, und daher schmeckte es auch sehr gut. Das einzige was nicht so toll ist, Salz und Pfeffer bekommt man nur auf Anfrage und dazu in einer kleinen Tüte bzw. sehr einfaches Salz. Für ein Rumpsteak sehr schade! Aber wir kommen trotzdem wieder.

The Alex in Bremen on the Domhof has a great atmosphere. Very bright and friendly, like the employees, always friendly and towards the guest. The breakfast buffet is very appealing. I love coming with my dog ​​because he always receives a very friendly welcome.

Wir hatten das Thaicurry und schon beim Öffnen des Döschens kamen die ersten Zweifel. Die Konsistenz sieht aber komisch sich. Geschmacklich…naja irgendwie essbar, aber der Verdacht lag sehr nahe, dass wir es hier mit einem Fertigprodukt zu tun haben. Das enthaltene Hühnerfleisch ist möglicherweise auch im Labor entstanden. Lange nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen. Einen Punkt gibt’s für den freundlichen Service.

I haven't been to ALEX for a long time. But nothing has changed. It was tight and hectic. The service was friendly, the cake was ok, but nothing special either. In my opinion, what is missing is a flair and peace to relax.

Delicious brunch buffet at a fair price. The selection isn't anything special, but it's perfectly fine for the price. We liked the quality of the buffet. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The location is great, right next to the Bremen Town Musicians, the town hall and the cathedral.

Unfortunately the steak wasn't that tasty. Otherwise everything was okay. Ambience and service top. Just for your information: A friend of mine ate a burger and he was very happy with it.

Nice location in Bremen city center. Good and nice service. Food was tasty, although slightly cold. The Homemade Original is very tasty, but the best part was the dessert. Waffles with Cockie and Cherry... simply amazing. Super tasty. Can definitely be recommended.

Very good food for the tourists place and good for family we enjoyed

When we got there it didn't look so bad. Until I went to the toilet with my son, unfortunately the toilets didn't look clean, there were paper towels lying around everywhere. So and unfortunately the food wasn't that good, some of us had schnitzel with fries. Dan schnitzel with fried potatoes and fried egg. Schnitzel with mushroom sauce and fries. And others of us had burgers and fries, unfortunately everything arrived at the table cold. Which is a real shame😕

It's a really nice restaurant. The food wasn't really my thing, but ok. The staff is very friendly. The only thing that really shocked me is the women's toilets. They were very, very dirty. That's actually a no go. A little more attention needs to be paid to this.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen im Obergeschoss und mussten zuerst ca. 20 min auf die Bedienung warten. Bis die Getränke dann gebracht wurden dauerte es wieder ca. 20 min. Zwei Getränke wurden verwechselt: einen Kakao mit Rum bekam der Gast, der ohne Alkohol bestellt hatte, der andere Gast bekam den Kakao ohne Rum, obwohl mit bestellt wurde. Ein Getränk fehlte. Nachfrage nach weiteren 15 min, Antwort: das Getränk würde im Erdgeschoss zubereitet und würde gleich kommen, Erneute Nachfrage nach 10 min. Dann ging eine Servicekraft nach unten und holte das Getränk. Wir wollten dann eine zweite Runde Getränke bestellen, aber die Bedienung kam erst nach der zweiten Bitte um Bedienung. Wir haben uns dann aber entschieden zu bezahlen, ohne eine weitere Bestellung. Zum Essen haben wir uns dann lieber ein anderes Restaurant gesucht, weil wir nicht unseren ganzen Spätnachmittag/Abend mit Warten und Verärgerung darüber verbringen wollten. Ich hatte früher schon ähnliche Erfahrungen im Alex gemacht, gebe heute aber zum ersten Mal eine Bewertung ab. Also alles sehr unbefriedigend und wenn man die übrigen Bewertungen liest, kein Einzelfall, trotz der regelmäßigen Beteuerungen der Verantwortlichen, man wolle mit dem Team sprechen. Also für mich war es leider der letzte Besuch im Alex.

Food: Loveless breakfast buffet with cold fried eggs (reason: "Unfortunately we probably forgot to turn on the rechaud") A freshly prepared fried egg can't be that cold 15 minutes after opening in a heated room. The "hard-boiled" egg was also cooked at some point, but was already so cold that it had been cooked - if that day - hours before. It is positive to only put small amounts of the individual cheese and sausage products on the buffet - but 4 slices each on a Saturday morning is quite economical, that's not even enough for a group of four people. A carelessly and confusingly arranged table with containers of salads and dessert completes the offer. The label can only be found at second glance in the confusion. Service: At least polite and tried hard. Ambilente: “outdated”, or how else should you describe cracks in the faux leather cover and wobbling tables? The small round tables are simply too small for a leisurely breakfast. Conclusion: Since the restaurant was almost completely booked on a Saturday morning in Advent, either only visitors from outside come or there is not much emphasis on breakfast culture in Bremen. Hopefully we will find an alternative next time. ALEX yes, but not again at the Domshof. Can't be compared with Hamburg, Braunschweig or Leipzig - we were really happy there.

I also expect reasonably decent food for the system catering. I ordered a currywurst with fries. My expectation was a bratwurst with a fruity curry sauce and a filling amount of fries. I got a bockwurst with branded curry ketchup and half a portion of fries. Every snack bar around the corner is better. Staff was friendly.

Perfect services and with a menu with a variety of beverages, sweets and dishes with meat and fried or differently cooked potatoes. Alex Bar Cafeteria at Domshof has one of the most amazing menus in Bremen and in the whole of Germany. The employees there are quick and amazing. They serve each client really quickly. The view of the city centre is equally impressive from the inside of Alex and not just from the outside tables when they serve food, coffee and drinks.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, Alex has waned quite a bit over the last few years. Were there for breakfast (during the week). Unfortunately very poor for 15€. There was almost only pork. The sausage was only labeled pork everywhere. Poultry was on the same tray, no signage about it. I also asked specifically, but a “it should be that” ...sorry, I can't eat then. The scrambled eggs were served with and without diced bacon and only a large spoon was needed to remove them. There was also no signage for the different types of cream cheese, salmon was completely removed from the range, but as far as I know it had always been there in previous years. Unfortunately it's not for guests who want to know what they're eating and don't care about the types of meat. That's better. My companion in Hackepeter had very long blonde hair. We also communicated/showed it. Was very unappetizing. Ambience okay, music a bit loud. The toilets could also be cleaner. Probably won't come back. Too bad!

Even though the building is a bit older (and I am) it still has a nice atmosphere for me and I like the coffee!

We were there for breakfast on Sunday. The waiter (short blonde hair) upstairs was very courteous and helpful. The service was excellence. We didn't have to wait long for drinks and our plates were picked up regularly and quickly. The breakfast buffet was very appealing and tasty. At the "eiecke" you often have to queue, which is stupid because the stairs lead to the toilet there and there is often a lot of traffic there. Of course it was quite loud on a Sunday. But that's complaining at a high level. We'll definitely be back. P.s. very child friendly. We also get an ojuice and a drawing pad.

I've been a regular at your cafe for a long time, but the experiences I've had recently are really disappointing. Cleanliness and hygiene are almost completely ignored. Dirty tea glasses and cutlery are commonplace, and lipstick stains on beer glasses have now become normal. Orders arrive either incomplete or incorrect. The grooves on the tables are full of dirt and it is really unpleasant to sit at such tables and see the dirt in the grooves. It makes me very sad that a place I always enjoyed visiting has fallen into such decline. Although I have reported the problem to staff several times, nothing has changed. The situation has now become really disturbing. I hope you take this criticism to heart and take the necessary measures to improve cleanliness. Otherwise I no longer feel like visiting this place anymore. And I'm sure other customers are just as annoyed by this situation as I am.

Well, we couldn't even order the food. All the tables around us were served. So we moved on hungry. 1P Ü80 and arrival from Thuringia. Hmm, hospitality looks different. That's why I can't rate the rest. The lemonade was good.

The falafel bowl is mediocre at best: falafel is dry, edamame is obviously no longer fresh and simply not enough for the price.

We ordered 3 burgers and 3 steaks. Burgers were "okay" (meat 6/10, sauce 4/10, fries 9/10), but the steaks were delicious!

We went here for brunch and can highly recommend it. There is - not an endless amount - but enough choice and for the price (approx. 15 € per person) it is completely okay. There is also a small orange juice, other drinks have to be ordered and paid for separately. The atmosphere was quite nice, as it is in Alex when you know it. We'd love to come back for brunch!

We sat as a group on the first floor. There you had a nice view of the weekly market. We ordered curry with rice, hamburger and a bowl. Everyone really enjoyed it. The service was very friendly. We also had cocktails and cappuccino ☕ (lactose-free) 👍🏼 one of the three toilets was broken. Which is why queues formed. I really liked the atmosphere.

Location is good, staff is nice. But the prices are very steep. Had a Gozya Bowl, there was almost nothing in it. 2 hours later I'm totally hungry again at home. And I'm not a 2 meter guy with a huge appetite, but am happy with normal portions instead. Just add a little more rice to the bowl, it doesn't cost much and at least you'll be full.

The store has a good location and a nice selection on the menu but otherwise - the service is bad. Went there for lunch today, ordered a beer and “slow cooked beef” for €24.40. I got beer… and that was it. After I asked where was my order, the waiter explained to me that slow cooked beef (marked green on the menu) is not a dish, but a cooking method. Thanks for nothing, unfortunately no recommendation 👎

When I went for breakfast I found the price-performance ratio to be quite inconsistent. There are several exotic items, but not much of a regular selection. Sometimes there were dirty plates at the buffet😶

We were here for breakfast with a large group. Service was great, the atmosphere was nice, although very loud. The food just average. The fruit salad was fermenting, the warm dishes were just lukewarm. Unfortunately breakfast is only a buffet.

Wir waren heute im Alex am Domshof zum Brunch. Es gab als warme Speisen nur Kartoffelgratin mit Brokkoli und ein undefinierbares Geschnetzeltes mit Reis. Wir waren um 11 - 13 Uhr dort und das warme Essen war ab 12 Uhr kalt und wurde nicht mehr neu aufgefüllt. Die Löffel waren vollgeschmiert vom Kartoffelgratin und nicht ausgetauscht. Das Geschnetzelte wurde glaube ich gar nicht angerührt. Stand ja auch nicht drauf , was da drin war. Selbst die Spiegeleier und das Rührei waren kalt. Außerdem gab es nichts mit Geflügel. Wenn man kein Schwein isst, ist es echt dürftig gewesen . Für das Angebot echt zu teuer. Wir können uns so etwas nicht häufig leisten und waren sehr enttäuscht. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, konnte uns aber auch keine Antwort auf unsere Fragen geben. Also für die Bedienung 2 Sterne.

The selection at brunch during the week is rather average. The staff is friendly. A large coffee costs over €20. The chairs were uncomfortable. All in one, you can do it, but you don't have to repeat it.
