Al-Shaam restaurant in Berlin

The restaurant itself seems anything but hygienic. I ordered my takeout and bit into a piece of hard plastic. Truly negligent and dangerous! Caution!

Cleanliness left much to be desired. The food tasted stale. If you want stomach problems, fine, but never again for me.

5 p.m., door open, other customers come out with food, and we're told 'closed', even though opening hours are until 6 p.m., weird.

The first time I came, the situation was fine. I came a week later and brought my friends. Honestly, it's worse than this. The employee in charge of the cup thinks he's the best, and Nimrod often talks to customers in a disrespectful and provocative way. The food was cold and dry, and the dough was very thick. I hope the manager or owner of the restaurant sees this and hires someone who respects the work and customers.

So once again I received the wrong order and not what I actually wanted to eat. On top of that the cheese hardly had any cheese in it and the price was way off the actual price, so there is no clear and structured line here, just do it and pass the food on without any other feeling, never again!

Everything is so freshly baked and delicious! The fresh bread with the wonderfully delicious hummus is simply heavenly. The thyme manekish is super spicy. The pickles complement everything perfectly. With the prices, I'll gladly go there more often!

This place is homely and comforting. No frills, just the delight of fresh breads being baked in the oven upon your order, Al-Shaam style! My favorites here are chicken manekesh, spinach & cheese, and their hummus platter. They have an array of other dishes too. Their food is reasonably priced. It is a popular breakfast point which winds up by 4 or 5 pm. This is my go-to for lazy days when one just doesn't want to take any stress. The staff is friendly and kind hearted.

Very declining and many modifications have been made. Tea was free and now it is really expensive, even though it is not expensive for an old shop. One of the best Syrian fast food in Berlin! Highly recommended!

If I have an urgent need for manakish and warm hummus at 6:00 in the morning and happen to be in Wedding, then there is only one address for me. Al Sham! The boys are busy doing things here early in the morning. The manakish are deliciously crispy and the chicken on top was still juicy. The hummus is nice and creamy and hot. The graduate also meant very well about the olive oil. There are also olives, tomatoes, onions and pickles as a side dish. The hummus came at €6 and each manakish cost €2. Drinks also €2. The tea is on the house :-)

I waited 1:30 hours for my food to arrive cold and inedible. Catastrophic

hello, i live here since almost sixteen years and i eat a lot of stuff around the block, they offer the best maniche in this block, zatar und jibneh mix but make sure that the dough is baked trough almost so your stomach have a nice day. best short handed breakfast to go. now the bad conditions we also need to discuss on the left they have an guest room where you can sit and drink tea for free. you come in and smell what you really smell i cant figured out but its bad , the tea machine maybe never cleant up. the tea taste after in german we say KALK. and they have an toilette room on the site and the door is always open. so hygienic for me must be utopia if this is normal they need some round up but not pharma one. on the end i can say its a fam business and they try there best to handle the big demand out of the community and they make a 3 star job, but to represent middle east food, tradition and culture thats by far not enough. i will come back for maniche mix zatar and jibneh with a little bit kabis and sadly without black tea with unmoral amount of sugar. good appetit.

The Manakish Al-Shaam in Wedding is amazing, it is super fresh and quite affordable, with prices ranging from 3-5€. The staff is friendly, and you can quickly sit down for a flavorful bite. My favorite dish is the cheese and ground meat. Definitely worth a try!

Food overpriced, I've had much better Manakish, plus you have to pay for the salad plate (which isn't even remotely fresh) that you get for free in other restaurants. Service is a disaster, the owner is extremely arrogant, snooty and unfriendly to customers. He wasn't the only one who made a fool of me when I picked up my order. I'll never eat there again!

Bester Ort für Manakisch. Günstig, schnell und verdammt lecker

Gutes und leckeres Essen. Wobei der Teig zum Teil nicht überzeugt, da zu matschig. Der Service ist gerne mal überfordert. Fragt gut und gerne im ganzen Laden nach, wer jetzt nun was bestellt hat. Es fehlt die Übersicht. Aufgrund der Überfüllung, ist eine enorme Überforderung spürbar. Die Lokalität ist von guter Sauberkeit meilenweit entfernt. Die Preise sind in Ordnung. Das einzige was hier nur im Ansatz überzeugt ist das ordentliche Essen, welches aber auch Schwächen hat. Schade, da Potenzial vorhanden ist. Vorteil für die Lokalität, nur wenig gleichwertige Konkurrenz im Gebiet.

Food is adequate for the price. However, personnel oozes disdain for non-locals, possibly, even all Westerners. Plus, prices are (deliberately?) ambiguous. I didn't get what I ordered, but the same dish with cheese, of course, slightly more expensive. Avoid, unless you are starving.

Die Manakish sind hier ganz großes Kino! Der Teig wird roh (nicht vorgebacken!) in den Ofen geschoben und die Auswahl für den Manakishbelag ist groß. Top Preis-Leistungverhältnis! Sehr zu empfehlen: das Thymianmanakish (natürlich auch Käse und Sucuk)! Good to know: Bei Keshk ist ein wenig Belag drauf und die Spinatversion ist etwas essigsauer (ich persönlich finds geil). Punkt Abzug gibts für den Service, weil dieser sich bei großen Bestellungen gerne intransparent selbst Trinkgeld gibt (Rechnung wird per Hand nicht von einem System gemacht). Ihr solltet daher selbst nachrechnen. Außerdem kam es auch schon vor, dass uns Zuhause aufgefallen ist, dass ein Manakish zu wenig eingepackt war. Man muss schon bisschen mitdenken. Für das Ambiente kann ich leider nicht so viele Sterne vergeben. Der Bestellvorgang ist oft chaotisch, man weiß nicht wo man sich anstellen soll oder wo die Kasse ist. Oftmals unterhalten sich Bekannte mit Angestellten oder dem Chef, sodass man ein paar Minuten wartet bevor man versteht, dass man als Kunde eine andere Person "anlabern" kann, um zu bestellen. Ich geh trotzdem gerne hin, so gute Manakish findet man sonst nur in Neukölln :)

Essen war absolut top und sehr lecker. Am besten mit einem arabisch Nativespeaker das Frühstück bestellen, dann läuft alles problemlos. Preise sind absolut angemessen für so ein reichhaltiges Frühstück. Was ich allerdings bestätigen kann ist, dass die Tische unfassbar verdreckt waren. Hier müssen die Besitzer oder Mitarbeiter wirklich nachbessern.

Hatte zum Mittag einen total leckeren Foul-Teller mit fantastisch frischen Brot und einem riesigen Salat-Teller für 5€. Preislich also total angemessen. Essen war sehr schnell da. Ambiente natürlich sehr "einfach" - sehr levantinisch halt. Aber das tat dem Genuss keinen Abbruch.

Best food I ever ate. Their thymian spices are umami. Right next to the hospital if you encounter any health problems, you can really feel safe there. Low prices, good quality, self made with love. When I am feeling down, I can always count on them to cheer me up with some tasty Manakish.
