Al Basha in Dortmund

Never come to you again! Went to your place a few weeks ago and ordered food. We got a plate of salad with it (thought it would come with it), salted the salad and put lemon on it and ate a little, then the waiter came and asked if we had ordered salad, then we said no, then he had it Simply took away the salad (which we had mixed) and brought it to the table we ordered...that's not possible! I don't care if you take it away from our table, but how can you bring the salad you ate to another table???! Especially if I were the waiter, I would leave the salad there and say: I made a mistake, but it's on the house, and bring a new one to the next table!

The food was tasty and the staff were friendly as well! Recommend!

Hello guys, there were 3 of us at the restaurant and we felt very sick after eating. My colleague had stomach problems and I couldn't sleep until the morning because of the food. I also felt very sick so we don't recommend it.

The food was rubbish and salty and uneatable, especially the beans and the oil used with it. The service was poor, the order was delayed, and most of it was not available. More than one dish was a bite (like shawarma), and if the dish was not available, it would be made to the taste of the chef, meaning the thing was forced.

I love Al-Basha, but if the food is taken with Lieferando all the time to somewhere else then that's bullshit. My food was supposed to arrive half an hour ago (estimated delivery time was 20 minutes) and the Lieferando is droning on Grains around somewhere in Hoehne Dortmund even though I live nearby! I ask you to make an arrangement with the delivery service!

I was craving Arab food a lot and this place did not disappoint at all! The food was amazinggg, me and my friend got shawarma, fatet lahmeh, Baba ghanoush and warak enab, all of them were super good! The service was very nice and attentive as well, being both fluent in Arabic and German.

Food was not tasty at all. Rice was probably cooked days ago, salad was too sour and chicken was too dry on the shawarma. We ordered soup, salat, kawfta, shawarma, 3 Ayrans and water. It came down to 51 and paid with card. After calculating from the menu, it turned out we paid more than we ate. So basically we got ripped off for below-average food. Never again!

My family's experience from August 8, 2024: The man behind the counter was very unfriendly. The meat was at best kissed by the marinade as it was very dry. The salad too salty. The female waiter couldn't get rid of the negative with her friendliness. No, I won't come back. Dortmund offers too many alternatives for that.

What a bunch of scammers they are here. We came here to Dortmund to watch the Netherlands against England. We had the simple request to get a sandwich. I was told that they don't have that, but as an alternative I could order a sandwich dish (i.e. a sandwich cut into pieces with some fries or rice). This is to charge me more for the same product.

Unfortunately, it was a failed experiment. Prices are higher than usual. The order was one thing, and another thing arrived, and the shawarma is not a skewer of shawarma, which we make at home.

It's worth a visit. I can highly recommend the appetizer platter, but I wouldn't order the shawarma again.

Unfortunately we ordered a kebab meal and a crispy meal last night but it was a bad experience. The kebab pieces didn't resemble kebab at all and the salad was old and had a bad taste.

Nicht zu empfehlen. Ich hatte ein Sandwich bestellt, aber der Service-Mitarbeiter zwang mich, es mitzunehmen. Leider durfte ich es nicht am Tisch essen. Letztendlich habe ich nur die Linsensuppe gegessen.

Al Basha by far one of the best Mediterranean/ Lebanese restaurants I have ever tried in my life. I remember I ordered along with my family group lots of dishes and every single dish did NOT disappoint. All the way from the USA to Dortmund Germany, I will come back again!

NIE WIEDER!!!!!!! Ich wollte meine ausländischen Gäste aus Kroatien unser arabisches Essen ausprobieren lassen, leider ist mein Versuch zu einer Katastrophe umgewandelt, die Kellnerin hat die Bestellung falsch aufgenommen und uns 3xfalsche Mahlzeiten auf den Tisch gebracht, bestellte Getränke müssten wir lange drauf warten. Das Essen hat aber trotzdem sehr gut geschmeckt, daher ein Daumen hoch für die Küche und eine Bitte an den Personal, dass die vernünftiger arbeiten.

haben hier zu Abend gegessen! Das Essen war okay…Hähnchenspieße und Falafel sehr gut! Der Rest (Vorspeise, Salate, Beilagen) leider sehr lieblos. Größtes Problem war jedoch, das die Hauptgerichte 10-15 min zeitversetzt gebracht wurden…als ich anfangen konnte, war meine Freundin fast fertig mit essen.

Total unfreundliches Personal. Die Frau sagte uns, wir sollten uns setzen, dann kam sie nach 10 Minuten und sagte, dass der Tisch für jemand anderen reserviert sei. Dass wir aufstehen und gehen müssen. Ich empfehle es überhaupt nicht.

Habe vor 2 Wochen hier zum ersten mal gegessen und das Essen war erstaunlich gut. Tolles Ambiente und schöne orientalische Einrichtung. Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Ich werde definitiv wieder kommen und noch mehr Gerichte ausprobieren.

Essen war in Ordnung. Service für deutsche nicht zu empfehlen. Man merkt, dass man nicht erwünscht ist. Mein Freund (Türke) und ich, waren gestern Abend zu Iftar dort. Um bestellen zu können, mussten wir bereits eine halbe Stunde warten. Gäste, die nach uns kamen, wurden eher bedient. Uns wurde ein Iftar Menü angeboten (Suppe, Salat, Hauptgericht), von welchem wir nur das Hauptgericht erhalten haben. Darauf angesprochen wurde damit reagiert, dass die anderen Gäste schon Nachmittags vorbestellt hätten.

Total lecker ! Hier wird man nicht enttäuscht 👍 haben einmal dort gegessen und schon mehrere Male etwas abgeholt. Es ist wirklich zu empfehlen.

War früher mal ganz gut. Wir hatten dort in der C-Pandemie öfter was zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Die Spießgerichte waren aber schon damals immer kleiner und immer teurer geworden. Man hatte das Gefühl, daß die Pommes hier vorher abgezählt werden. Satt werden konnte man von einem Gericht mit Grillspieß leider nicht mehr weshalb wird dort nichts mehr bestellen.
