Hello, unfortunately we have to add something negative, we have been here several times in the last few weeks, it has always been GREAT, but on two days we were late at 8:40 p.m. for work reasons, we were sent out with the excuse that it was the kitchen already, then please don't write that you're open until 9 p.m. or note that the kitchen only accepts or prepares dishes until 8 p.m.!! It's a shame and very, very annoying when you rushed so much!!!!

We've always loved going out to eat in Acropolis, but yesterday was really the last time. Giros was too salty and therefore actually inedible, I left most of it back. When I asked for some water for the dog, I was asked...do you have a container with it, unfortunately no, so there was no water either! When the two gentlemen were still on site, our dog was automatically given a small water bowl without asking

We are here with friends from further away and are absolutely not satisfied. Little choice and everything very expensive. The salad wasn't our cup of tea. We wouldn't come here again.

We went there on a recommendation, we ordered a starter and a main course, drinks and a side salad arrived promptly, but then... after 40 minutes. We asked if they had forgotten us, we were going straight away and we were told. After 55 minutes the food came, unfortunately only the main courses, then he said he didn't need to bring the starter anymore, what was the answer? Should I take it out now? We were told succinctly, it can happen, it's right, but not a word of apology. Food was average. Once and never again.

We ordered dinner here to take away to the holiday home. The starters and main courses were very tasty and even nicely presented in the packaging. I was able to pick it up on time and the staff was very friendly. The price/performance ratio was right. Absolute recommendation! We'd love to come back!

Das Restaurant ansich ist sehr gemütlich, die "kulturelle Unterhaltung" hätte nicht sein müssen. Das Gäste sich normal unterhalten ist kein Thema aber wenn sich Gäste so lautstark unterhalten dass, das ganze Restaurant jedes einzelne Wort mithören kann, dann wird es sehr unangenehm und man fühlte sich dadurch sehr gestört. Das Essen, was sehr gut schmeckte, konnte man durch diese lärmende Atmosphäre leider nicht genießen und man war froh auf dem schnellsten Weg das Restaurant wieder zu verlassen. Der Service war sehr freundlich.

Shortly before the lunchtime closing time, we were greeted with a friendly welcome and delicious food with 7 people - in many other restaurants in Germany we would have been sent on our way with a simple “the kitchen is already closed…”... Thank you for more than just that delicious food (we recommend the gyros plate), but also especially for the friendliness and customer focus!!!!

We have been coming for 3 years at least 1 to 2 times a year (holidaymakers from the Ruhr area)...so long-term experience. Very friendly staff throughout, consistently very good, tasty and generous portions. Rich menu. Reasonable prices. We look forward to next time, keep it up!

Great Greek restaurant right on the market square. The food was super tasty. I had the liver - simply fried to perfection with lots of onions, rice and salad. We recommend.

We would have left it better! We were already here in 2023 - but were fobbed off in an extremely unfriendly manner. No reservation - no space! Well... We then made a new attempt. There is a sign at the entrance saying that children are welcome. Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! We had reserved - stating that we had a small child. We were seated outside in the only spot in the blazing sun. When asked to open the umbrella, there was no reply today. The lady was incredibly unfriendly. Drinking and eating took ages and the quality of the food left more than to be desired. I've never had such a bad meal out. All in all, a really big letdown and absolutely not recommended.

I have to say, I come from Oldenburg and nothing has changed in this restaurant for decades. The food has always been very good, but the service falls apart. I was there last night and the service was a 6. We sat outside in the rainy weather (which was OK). But we were forgotten, including the other tables. Nobody came and asked for new drinks. People even left. We waited an hour for the food. That wasn't so tragic, we had time. And then no one came for another hour. Guys, that's not possible. You earn money from the drinks. You've missed out on a lot of things. My advice. If there aren't enough staff, just accept a few fewer tables.

We were there on Tuesday shortly after opening. There wasn't really much going on. It took a long time for the drink order to be taken. Then it took until the drinks were served and the food order was taken. Then came the salad and eventually the main courses. However, not for all of what was ordered. That was then quickly changed. But: if 3 of the same dishes are ordered and the plates are different, it's strange. The food itself was delicious and filling. Overall the price was a bit higher for the service but it was ok.

It's a shame, lunch is no longer what it used to be! Giros burnt and large "pieces", rice almost inedible, salad squashed onto the plate... really too expensive for the "lunch price" of 15 euros, if you take leftovers with you the cardboard box is slammed on the table so you can pack it yourself.. ..no, Karafilis, I know other great times with you, but unfortunately you didn't give us your ❤️ for this decades-long restaurant

Wir waren mittlerweile schon zum 5. ten Mal hier essen und sind immer wieder begeistert über die leckeren Gerichte. Die Karte ist übersichtlich und griechisch - typisch Fleischlastig. Alles ist sehr gut gewürzt, frisch und kommt mit ordentlichen Portionen auf den Tisch . Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Vorspeisen. Rundum ein tolles Restaurant mit einem guten Preis - Leistungs- Verhältnis!

Good service, very good food and friendly staff

As an American in Germany, I appreciated how well the staff spoke English. The food was AMAZING! We ate the Saganaki (grilled goat cheese on bread), the Greek bowl with chicken and a mixed plate. Everything was cooked perfectly. Amazing flavors. We also got the Wildberry Lillet cocktail, also delicious. Highly recommend!!!

We were here as a couple and were not at all satisfied. The restaurant was full but there were still tables available. We had to wait an hour for the food (grilled plate and Corfu plate) and then, despite asking twice, the order was wrong (fries instead of rice) and two pieces of meat were forgotten Delivered 10 minutes later. Furthermore, my meat skewer was so dry and tough that I couldn't eat it. Since we had already finished our drinks during the long wait for the food, we didn't ask if we wanted to drink anything else. I But I also didn't have the opportunity to order something to drink from the completely stressed and overwhelmed staff. My complaint to the boss was dismissed with the words "no one has complained here yet". For me it's a typical tourist restaurant where no emphasis is placed on quality and the rule applies: they won't come back anyway. I was very disappointed and unfortunately I have to agree with the many negative reviews.

The gyros was burnt black and rock hard, and they were incredibly large pieces. The fries were undercooked and the fries were forgotten to go with the gratinated gyros. Overall, the worst Greek food we have ever eaten! But incredibly expensive. We would love to have our almost €100 back. We still had to spread bread at home because it was inedible.

I have never eaten a gyro as delicious as here. The meat was super tender and well seasoned. Very nice service. If I'm in Oldenburg again, I'll go here again.

Hello friends of Greek cuisine, today I was again with our Greeks in Oldenburg i.H. in the Acropolis with my family, whether it was the gyros, Naxos platter, mango & chicken or even the starters, it was, as always, a culinary masterpiece!

Es war wieder einmal sehr lecker, hat alles geklappt, obwohl das Restaurant komplett ausgebucht war. Die Speisen sind stets frisch und saftig… das Zaziki immer wieder unvergleichlich gut !!!

Super nette Bedienung, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider gab es Freitagabend um 18:30 keine Leber mehr, dass war etwas schade. Da wir sonst immer in Grube im Akropolis 2 sind fehlte mir der Pulpo auf der Karte und Tarama gab es leider auch nicht. Aber das was wir gegessen haben, war sehr lecker. Das Gyros meiner Tochter war nicht über würzt und schön saftig. Mein gemischter Teller hat auch super geschmeckt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall auch wieder nach Oldenburg kommen.

Ordered takeaway food. 1x Bifteki special, 1x farmer's plate, 1x large tzatziki. 47€...Sorry, but the quantity was a la children's plates, the salads were both inedible thanks to the "dressing" and even the tzatziki was miles away from the quality in the restaurant. As much as I enjoy lunch with you, I will never order takeaway from you again.

Wir haben spontan online reserviert und hatten einen Tisch. Leider neben einer Familie mit kleinen Kindern die sehr laut waren (Kein Vorwurf sondern Feststellung). Der Service war prompt, freundlich und sehr gut. Das Essen rel. zügig am Tisch und wie schon immer sehr gut.

Fleisch nicht durch, allgemein Essen überwürzt, Pommes zu lange frittiert. Keine Kartenzahlung zur Zeit möglich. Preis- Leistung sehr schlecht. Bedienung sehr nett!

We had a lovely evening in the restaurant. The food was tasty and good portions. We couldn't finish the main course with the starter. Price-performance is ok. Everything is expensive now. Sehr freundliches Personal. Portionen sehr großzügig. Vorspeise (Feta überbacken) und die Hauptspeise (Bauernteller) hätten beides etwas wärmer sein können, geschmacklich sehr gut.

Trotz Reservierung wollte man uns in die Mitte des Raumes setzen an einen großen Tisch, welcher gar nicht reserviert war ( wir waren 2 Personen).Das haben wir abgelehnt und haben nach einiger Zeit den Tisch an der Eingangstüre zugewiesen bekommen wo es die ganze Zeit gezogen hat, da die Türe sehr oft aufgemacht wurde.Ich hatte einen Grillteller mit Leber bestellt.Es war keine Leber mit drauf.Auf Nachfrage hieß es dass es an diesem Tag keine Leber gab.Ich hätte das gerne bei der Bestellung schon erfahren, da ich in diesem Fall gar keinen solchen Teller bestellt hätte… Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch die Getränke.Es wird also nochmal einen zweiten Versuch geben 😊
