Decent Greek restaurant. Good service, but it’s quite old fashioned. You can’t pay by card, cash only. It’s decent food, really salty.

I've been coming here monthly for at least 20 years. It's a great, imbiss-style Greek restaurant with reasonable prices. The restaurant opens early, making it a great place for a Greek lunch.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it overall. With the exception of the young colleague who started later, the staff was beyond unfriendly and unmotivated, with no trace of hospitality. The quality of the meat left much to be desired, and it was completely overseasoned; even the fries seemed a challenge. I'd better not even start on the price-performance ratio, even though everything has become more expensive. These two gentlemen should definitely reconsider their careers and urgently take a course in etiquette. I would like to commend the young colleague; she speaks in full sentences, maintains eye contact, knows polite forms like please and thank you, and much more. I wish her a suitable new job that suits her!

The order was incomplete. The food that arrived wasn't good. The clerk wanted to send a driver with the leftovers. We ordered at 8 p.m., but the food didn't arrive until 9:40 p.m. As I said, it was incomplete. At 11:30 p.m., we gave up hope of getting the rest. After several calls, a "cleaner" finally answered and told us the store was already closed. Overall, even one star is too many.

The food is okay, but nothing more. Much of the meat is far too dry and cooked for too long. Compared to other Greek restaurants in the area, this restaurant unfortunately falls on the lower end in terms of quality and taste. However, it does win points for the nice outdoor seating. And at least the gyro is very tasty.

There are very tasty gyros and super tasty zazick and it is super clean here too the staff is very friendly and super nice

I went there for dinner with my girlfriend today. I can't confirm the negative reviews. The service was, as always, very friendly and prompt. The salad was crisp and fresh, as always. The food was super delicious, and the portions were generous. The price/performance ratio was absolutely perfect for us. The meat was very juicy and well-seasoned. Everything was really delicious, as always. And we've been coming here for a long time. As I said, everything was top notch for us, as always.

Simple atmosphere. Courteous and helpful staff. Excellent variety of dishes. Good food. The only problem is that they only accept cash.

First impression was just awful since we (9 persons) had to wait for our food almost the whole hour, and moreover, we had to wait for the food that in the end will taste lowkey unsatisfying. Why unsatisfying? - Because it is definitely overpriced. Furthermore, we got some “Pommes”, but it wasn’t salty, not at all, hence we were lacking some salt. However, on the tables weren’t any salt or pepper at all, and this absence genuinely frustrates our group.

Never again. The male staff were extremely unfriendly and obviously annoyed. The vegetarian pita had a piece of meat in it, which was disgusting. The food itself didn't taste particularly good or fresh either, more like it had been sitting on the counter from yesterday.

We've actually enjoyed ordering for years, sometimes for parties of up to 10 people, but now the quality and prices are simply outrageous! 16.90 euros for fillet tips with Metaxa sauce...the result: finely chopped meat drowning in greasy sauce. A side salad that looks like it's been around for days. And a grill platter for 2 people for 50 euros that consists of more rice and fries than meat! (See pictures) Yesterday was definitely the last time we order from there! If you offer this kind of quality locally, there will soon be one less restaurant on the market!

I ate there today. I paid €40 for two gyro plates (not the biggest) and two small beers. I won't be eating there again.

Regular customer... we simply love everything there. It's fantastic, and our favorite dish there is the baked potato filled with gyro.

I'm extremely disappointed and angry. A large Greek farmer's salad consists of 1 large tomato, 1/4 cucumber, 2 small wedges of feta, and store-bought coleslaw for an unbelievable €14!!!!! The coleslaw is extremely sour. The yogurt dressing is completely bland. The appetizer plate for €16.50 consists of tzatziki (which tastes of nothing), 2 sliced ​​tomatoes, 12 thin slices of cucumber, 3 balls of cream with an indefinable flavor... no wonder, when everything tastes of nothing, 3 small rolls of spinach with something in it. Plus, 3 slices of bread for 2 people. When I commented that it was very simple, they brought me another 3 slices. The service seemed indifferent. We absolutely wouldn't recommend it in terms of taste, and the salads and platter were completely overpriced. It borders on rudeness. 🤨 The food would be returned... there wasn't even a goodwill discount, and we had to pay €45 for nothing. Never again ‼️‼️

Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The meat was very dry and partly black, and the tzatziki tasted sweet. The Warsteiner beer was supposedly on tap, but it was very bitter. We won't be eating there again.

We had 1 gyros pita and a sublaki pita, I know it from Greece that the ingredients for a Greek gyros pita tzatziki a few fries tomatoes in slices onion and a little iceberg lettuce the pita had mustard with it hello self does not belong to a Greek gyros sublaki pita and the meat has to be from pork neck but doesn't necessarily have to be that it can't even roll

Ordered for the first time and through Liferando. It also remains with this first order. As a Greek meal, we absolutely didn't like it. Meat wasn't good. Fries were greasy and, in my opinion, B-products. I also think delivery costs €5.50 are cheeky and then I'm still hoping for a tip? Our mistake in ordering there, which will no longer happen to us. It was an overpriced “French fries menu” 😒 The “Greek” touch was absolutely missing.

We ordered gyros gratinated with Metaxa sauce and a gyro plate. The meal then consisted of a "blob" of gratinated gyros next to the unsalted fries. Prices are completely exorbitant for the quality of the food. I cannot in good conscience recommend it.

We've been there several times now, the food is always delicious, but unfortunately the portions are not appropriate for the price. I ordered a portion of gyros twice and unfortunately they were really small, and today we ordered and unfortunately an extra charge of almost 8 euros was added, and I don't know what for.

Very bad!! , meat is bone dry and has nothing to do with Greek food. Meat burnt on the bottom. Waited an hour for the food while there were at most 10 people inside. Bad mannered waiter and snack bar atmosphere for restaurant prices. Well never, never again.

I was there again today after years. They have probably changed ownership. We weren't informed that when you eat in the restaurant the prices are different than those on the front of the board. I was then immediately charged €3 more per schnitzel and that wasn't even with salad. I also ordered a large fries with the schnitzel which I didn't get and a dab of mayonnaise cost €1 so overall there was hardly anything on the plate for the money so the store is not recommended. Next time we'll go to the burger joint next door

Food totally overpriced. Grill plate consisted of bones and fries. Salad tasted like it had been in the fridge for 3 days. My wife had baked feta. The feta was cold and it was maybe 10% feta, 60% tomatoes and 30% gratinated cheese. For the prices I can buy twice as much as the food in the store. I'm sorry to have to write something like that, but you should be able to expect something at these prices.

The Akropolis Restaurant offers a dining experience that unfortunately falls short of expectations. Overall, Acropolis unfortunately falls short of its potential. With a better price-performance balance, more attention to detail in the preparation of the food and a little more attention to the condition of the restaurant, it could be much more convincing.

We just ordered via Lieferando and it said it could take between 45-70 minutes. OK no problem. After 2 hours we called and were told that the car was broken and the driver had to slow down. When I mentioned that one of us had to leave for the night shift straight away, I replied that the food would be there soon and simply hung up. Unfriendly. In addition, the fries were cold and the gyros were cut very roughly and there was a lot of cartilage in them. You can at least apologize on the phone and give lieferando the correct times. We have a lot of understanding for some things but that was just very unfriendly.

The food was very tasty. Unfortunately a dish was forgotten during delivery, which can happen and is generally not a problem. But it's a shame if the missing dish isn't delivered until 50 minutes later.

Great food, 2 people for 42 euros a bit much. Restaurant is way too cold Service was great, if the heating was on we would come back. A “thimble” ketchup for 1 euro is not necessary. Shish kebab sauce for 1 euro was great and enough. TOILETS ARE in the basement without an elevator. Wheelchair users have a problem.

We ordered online today directly from Akropolis Grill. 2 x gyros, fries, tzatziki, onions and 1 meat croquette. After waiting for an hour, we called to ask what was wrong with our food. The employee initially couldn't do anything with our question. Then he “found” our order. Instead of being honest he said the driver was on the way. (10 minute drive from the restaurant to us) Another 17 minutes later called again, then they wanted to blame the driver. We felt that our criticism was not being taken seriously. After 19 minutes he finally came. The food was subpar. Fries not cooked and full of fat (not fried enough) So things can always go wrong, but then you should be honest and admit the mistake and not take the customer for a fool and then prepare the food properly. So everyone definitely understands this. Unfortunately, the Acropolis team seems to see things differently. I don't feel valued as a customer. That really wasn't okay. Think about it

Delivery takes forever!! According to Lieferando 40 minutes. It took over 2 hours for the food to arrive after we called twice more! If you're going to charge an outrageous €48.00 for 2 salads and a starter plate, you should at least deliver on time!! We don't care how much they have to do! Either deliver on time or specify the real delivery time and live with the fact that no one orders anymore! No recommendation from us! First and last time 0 stars!

We waited half an hour for a burger with fries and gyros complete. The burger was okay, the fries were full of fat and hard. The gyros seemed to have been from the day before because it was very dry. When I paid there was a new gyro skewer on it looked nice and juicy.

The food is very good. Staff quick and friendly. But €7 for a 0.25 liter rose is way too expensive for me. At Lidl you can get the same Rose 0.75 liter for €4.99. It's a shame actually. Eating out is really no fun anymore.

After we had a bit of an abundance of chore seeds the first time, we ate it again. This time completely satisfied. Food and portions were good and sufficient.

Sat outside under large parasols, on the market square, cozy, fast service, pay at the waiter, gyros dish made perfectly, lots of stasiki, many Greeks give too little, not here, and toilets well lit, everything is very clean, nothing to complain about. brands, don't understand the bad reviews, have been coming there for 30 years, including previous owners, so why do so many restaurants have such bad reviews, that's how restaurants break down, don't do that, there is something, solve it there.

Very bad service. Were not welcomed, could go to the table themselves. Food was mediocre, pork dried out. When we asked for the bill and to pack the rest, we finally took the dish to the kitchen ourselves. Bill was wrong, 2 drinks were counted extra. We won't come here again!

Unfortunately I have to give it one star. Tried to eat something from there again. What can I say, it was a mistake. - The meat was cut off extremely large - It was burned -Totally salty - not spicy but really hot. We took 2 gyro plates and 1 pita, which cost a mere 33.30. Mayonnaise was served in a small cup (for 3 people) for 0.80 cents. The meat was quite fatty and the meat was in fat. The pita was burnt but rolled up so that you couldn't see it straight away. Unfortunately you can't upload pictures here!!!

We went there for dinner on Sunday afternoon. It was mediocre. THE staff walked around aimlessly and haphazardly, you had to speak to them so that you could order something, they were quite abrupt, then we had to order from the same waiter twice so that we could get something to drink, ordering food was just as unfriendly like at the beginning of the visit, the food was grade 3 - but expensive like grade 1, we will definitely never go here again😬

Today we ate the super delicious Acropolis platter for two people again, but of course we couldn't make it again. It was very tasty, the meat was juicy and the salad was simply delicious. Service was also very good and attentive and everything came quickly. We can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Delivery was the biggest mess, waited for over 1 hour after calling the restaurant and was told off that the driver was on the way and after another hour I got a call from the driver that supposedly no one had opened the door and after checking directly no one was still waiting for another 30 minutes I called the restaurant once and were put off again and didn't even get any compensation from the restaurant!!!!!!!! We have been customers there for 22 years, quality is the best, good service, fast and acceptable prices, from which we have tried the excellent souflaki, either with chips or rice, the gyros pita gerroll, or gyros pita souflaki or gyros pita de chicken, or natural snitchzel or with mushroom sauce or Hawaiian style, or the hamburgers, or the potatoes with mushrooms, the only thing I can complain about is that they don't put ice with the drinks and they lack cold to taste the food better😊 and we have eaten there in winter or outside on their terrace or many times to take home.

Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to share my recent experience at Akropolis Heinsberg in the hope that my feedback can help improve your services. Unfortunately, my visit to your restaurant was very disappointing and in no way lived up to the positive expectations I had. The evening started with an unpleasant greeting from the staff. As soon as I entered the restaurant I felt like I wasn't welcome. The employees seemed stressed and unfriendly, which already dampened the mood. It took a while to even be assigned a table, even though there were several tables available. After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes before we could place our order. When we finally ordered, I chose a schnitzel, which many tout as a house specialty. I also ordered a beer in the hope that I could still enjoy the evening. Unfortunately, disillusionment quickly set in here too. It took an incredible 30 minutes for the beer to be brought to our table. During this time we saw several times the staff apparently busy with internal discussions and other tasks instead of taking care of the guests. When asked when the beer would arrive, the employees responded curtly and without any apology. When the schnitzel was finally served, the height of disappointment was reached. The schnitzel was completely burnt and dry, indicating that it was either fried for too long or cooked at too high a temperature. The breading was hard and black, the meat underneath was dry and tough. It was almost inedible and despite being hungry I had to go back for most of the dish. This was by no means a culinary delight. After that bad meal, I tried to raise the issue with one of the employees. Unfortunately, here too I encountered little understanding and interest. There was no apology, no offer of compensation or even an exchange of the burnt schnitzel. Instead, my feedback was dismissed with a shrug and a dismissive attitude. Overall, my visit to the Acropolis Heinsberg was extremely disappointing. The combination of unfriendly staff, extremely long wait times and a disastrous main course prompted me to write this review. Despite everything, I'm giving this 3 stars. Food is really tasty, but organization is different. If I know that there is a lot going on at the weekend and that a lot of people are sitting outside when the weather is nice, then get enough staff there. I know there are staff shortages everywhere... Despite everything, we stayed seated until the end and enjoyed the spectacle. It can't be that I've already gone through three wheat in 2.5 hours and still don't have any food on the table! When we were full, the food arrived after such a long time that we had it packed up. A pity. It's always delicious at your place and we've always enjoyed coming, but unfortunately we haven't been there since. Maybe an oversight, or a bad day in between, but unfortunately that's not possible. Everyone else around us has already gotten up and left.

Terrible food, so really not Greek. Terrible flavors, tzatziki no taste. Pita gyros don't know what kind of sandwich that was, nasty taste of meat. No taste at all! We will definitely never go here again. Staff very rude, what a mess there!!! If you really want Greek food you should go to another restaurant, because I don't know what this one is.

The store is disgraceful. Went into the empty store with my children. In the next 20 minutes, 3 single men came in. All other tables received their food and drinks immediately. We only got our drinks after 20 minutes. The first gentleman had already finished and left. Our food only arrived after more than half an hour. By then everyone else had already finished eating. Never experienced anything so outrageous.

Should have experienced such poor service. We wanted something to eat and drink and sat on the terrace. Unfortunately we didn't get any of it. There were several waiters at our table, but no one could take the order. At some point a waiter at least took our drinks. These did not arrive, despite repeated requests. Only the same tables in the middle were served, all tables at the edge were ignored. Other people even went to the waiter, but they were just put off. I understand that it was very full, but that was foreseeable, that it would take a little longer, that's ok, but ignoring so many tables is quite unique. We left after more than 30 minutes without getting anything and without ordering food.

When we are in Heinsberg, we always eat here. After 45 minutes we left and were not served by the staff

We order food for 5 persons and they bring only for one, no cutlery , I had to go an pick it up for all of us. When I went to let them know they forgot to bring all the food,they were on the phone and hard to react. Even worst, we had also fries at all the dishes and the fries looked like they were served a couple times before us a few days ago. They were Impossible to eat..... We went there a couple times before but the service was great. This time was the worst possible...

The Akropolis Grill in Heinsberg is a good address for Greek food. Has the charm of a fast food joint. Doesn't have that many seats inside. The food is quite decent and tasty. What bothers me a little is the prices, but that's relatively normal these days if you want to go out to eat!

Über Lieferando essen bestellt.Essen sollte 60 Minuten dauern. Nach 110 Minuten habe ich angerufen, da hieß es 10 Minuten ist der da. Nach weiteren 30 Minuten habe ich wieder angerufen und es hieß wieder in 10 Minuten. Als ich freundlich fragte ob man nicht eine Benachrichtigung bekommen könnte wenn das Essen so viel später kommt, wurde aufgelegt 30 Minuten später wieder angerufen. Verstehen Sie nicht, sie rufen den Fahrer an und sagen mir Bescheid. Um 20. 15 keine Nachricht. Ich habe jetzt woanders bestellt. Wenn er noch kommt schick ich ihn wieder zurück

Lecker Pita, dort arbeiten Menschen, die auch Querdenker gerne bedienen. Nachtrag vom 7.11.: Übelster Kasernenhofton, Befreiung wurde zwar akzeptiert, aber die Atmosphäre ist unter aller Sau, und das obwohl ich der einzige Gast war.

Absolut schlechter Service, 2 Gerichte haben am 01.01.2024 um 18:15 Uhr über Lieferando bestellt, Lieferzeit bestätigt 19:46 Uhr....um 20:15 Uhr habe ich angerufen und man sagte mit min. noch 30 Minuten bis die Lieferung kommt, Geld wollte man mir nicht zurückerstatten, mit der Begründung läuft über Lieferando soll mich an die wenden, unverschämt, habe dann das Essen abgeholt, damit unsere 33,80€ nicht weg sind, habe dann auf nachfrage 3,- € Lieferkosten erstattet bekommen. Schade das den Herrn Delahaye es nicht interessiert, das seine Nachbarn Schafhausenerstr verärgert sind, wir werden nichts mehr bestellen, für den Preis so einen Service anzubieten, unterirdisch schlecht, und das leider nicht zum ersten Mal. Sehr enttäuschend !!!

Das Schachlik ist Hausgemacht einfach lecker 😋 und auch vom Fleisch her nicht wenig.

Portion war sehr klein. Alleine deswegen wäre ich schon nicht wieder gekommen. Im Nachhinein muss man sagen das sie glücklicherweise sehr klein war sonst wäre es mir sicher noch schlechter gegangen. War Nachts leider mehr im Badezimmer als im Bett. Nie wieder

Das Essen war leider nicht gut. Fleisch war sehr schlecht ( zäh wie Schuhleder). Salat war auch nicht der beste. Wir hatten verschiedene Mahlzeiten bestellt und an allen Gerichten war keine gute Qualität, Hackfleisch innen noch nicht durch gebraten. Was ein no go dort ist der Rheinischer Sauerbraten, habe noch nie so etwas fehlgeschlagenen Essen probiert. Rheinischer Sauerbraten mit Fritten 🤣 bei diesem Preis ohne Rotkohl . Wir waren schon vor paar Jahren dort da war das Essen bedeuten besser

Immer wieder toll dort. Sehr schmackhaft und optisch zubereitetes Essen. Schneller und freundlicher Service. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Gyros war Okay, teilweise aber sehr fettig. Leider hatten wir mit dem Bifteki nicht so viel Glück. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Die Pommes waren gut, das Zaziki frisch und lecker. Preislich für die Portionen in Ordnung

Heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijke bediening, klein nadeel is dat je er niet kunt betalen met pin , Voor herhaling vatbaar Sehr gut gegessen, die bedienung war freundlich , ein kleines nachteil das man nur bar bezahlen kann, trotzdem für wiederholung geeignet.
