Akropolis in Konstanz

I was there today, without a reservation, to celebrate my birthday. The staff was very, very nice, the food was simply wonderful.

Casual restaurant with a rustic atmosphere. The food was very tasty, but I'm used to a slightly different Metaxa sauce, but still recommended! The service was very friendly, quick and adapted to our group, thank you :)

We really like Greek food. I've been to Greece a few times, but not in tourist castles but in the hinterland with authentic cuisine in cozy taverns. And even if everything doesn't always work in Greek taverns, that had nothing to do with what we experienced in the Acropolis in Konstanz. Where do we start... with the toilets. Broken toilet seats, broken door locks, torn cable ducts, cobwebs. You can tell by looking at the toilets of a company... we all know that sentence and we should have left by then. Ambiance in the restaurant: We didn't feel it. We felt more like we were in a train station. We found everything completely rocky and dingy. We ordered tzatziki as a starter and waited 30 minutes for that alone. It then came with a leaf salad, some carrot salad on top and grated cheese on top. We also didn't find the herb yoghurt dressing to be typically Greek. The children got their food with our starter and finished it way before us - and then had to wait for us (anyone who has children knows: they find this extremely unpleasant). The food for us parents came after 50 minutes and was not what we understood from the other reviews. A lamb chop deserves a reasonable degree of doneness, but this is only possible if it is of a certain thickness. So the part was maybe 1 cm thick and through. The minced steak had extreme roasted aromas. The gyros tasted good, but smelled like fish to me. Suvlaki and fries, on the other hand, were really good. If we think it's good, we're happy to spend a little more money on it. Unfortunately we didn't have that feeling in the Acropolis.

Consistency is a bit expensive. No ouzo on the house like I know from the Greeks. Greek atmosphere is missing.

For me so far the best Greek in the greater Konstanz area. Everything was freshly cooked and tasted great.

In my opinion, there only seem to be two types of restaurants in Konstanz: the fancy restaurants where the Swiss eat. And the restaurants that are more frequented by ordinary people and students. This Greek is fantastic and is definitely frequented by the latter. The appetizer platter is generous and freshly made. The lamb afterwards was very tasty. I would love to come back and can only recommend it 100%, a reservation is urgently needed!

Sehr positive Erfahrung: Das Lokal war voll bis auf den letzten Platz, doch die Atmosphäre war total entspannt. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich bedient, das Essen war sehr lecker, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmte, was in Konstanz leider eher die Ausnahme geworden ist. Ein authentisches Erlebnis und eine klare Empfehlung!

The Greek food here is very authentic and delicious.

The reception in the restaurant was extremely friendly. This continued with a very nice young man who served us excellently. And then the food: My wife ordered moussaka and I ordered bifteki. Neither of us can remember the last time we had such a great Greek meal! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

I've been coming to this restaurant for a long time. And of course I recommend it to everyone for several reasons. Firstly the very friendly behavior of the staff that makes you feel at home and secondly the good taste of the food. Just like Mediterranean home cooking. And also a sufficient amount of food. Be sure to try it.

Clearly, no menu (with prices) on the homepage, so we are not customers.. neglected homepage, not a good impression. Plus, that's why I wanted to check, apparently very expensive with mediocre quality.

It was a restaurant my friends and I had been wanting to visit for a long time, and I can honestly say that I had one of the best meals I've ever had in Konstanz here. The salads in particular were very tasty, and I’m curious about the dressing they used. The restaurant, including the restrooms, was very clean, and the waitstaff were very polite. There was a generally refined and calm atmosphere. The only problem was that the food took about 45 minutes to be served. I think such a good and successful restaurant should find a solution to these delays because, as you can imagine, waiting 45 minutes is not enjoyable. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. It was a very positive experience for me overall.

Definitely the best Greek in Konstanz and the surrounding area. The food is very tasty, prices are totally reasonable and the waitresses are nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, you can rarely reach anyone by phone to make a reservation.

Food was delicious. However, the olives tasted a bit like supermarket produce. So I don't recommend it. The main course was even better.

I already ate there on Friday, July 5th, 2024 and it was wonderful and the atmosphere outside was great, like in Greece. Yesterday's food was amazing in a positive sense and now I'm back here to eat. Yesterday I had an Acropolis plate, today I will eat swordfish. I will eat here more often. Everything is right here. Best regards Patrick Kahlen

Cocky, arrogant and disrespectful! For some time now, the service and interaction with customers has been declining rapidly! If you're lucky enough that the phone isn't "busy", you'll be bullied from the side. Yes, it is understandable that every now and then you have a lot of guests and another order no longer works. This can be politely justified and explained to you. (Complete understanding) BUT!!! If instead you get insulted stupidly from the side, which actually occurs to you when you want to place an order at that time (7:00 p.m.), then it stops. Absolutely incompetent if that is an understanding of customer satisfaction. The food is amazing!! Extremely delicious!! However, you should remain friendly even when the restaurant is fully booked. So there can come another time when you want customers 😉 SG

Visited spontaneously on Sunday afternoon. Friendly service. Large selection of dishes. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a bit run down (dirty chairs, stained menu, dusty furnishings, small, makeshift repairs in the toilet). About the food: Large portions, although a bit carelessly prepared. Unfortunately, some of the gyros were almost black and hard. Prices for main courses are ok, but quite high for additional side dishes (e.g. olives).

Natürliche, familiäre Atmosphäre, gutes Essen , gute Preise, nix Chicci-micci, unnachahmlich, einfach original mit einem tollen Team. Ich war 7 Jahre nicht mehr in Konstanz, habe es gesucht und nicht besser treffen können. Danke!

The restaurant is highly recommended. €35 with tip for 2 drinks and 2 tasty main courses for lunch is great. Very busy at lunchtime and therefore the background noise is a bit louder. Entrance a little difficult with a stroller but doable. Despite all this, the restaurant is highly recommended.

Went there spontaneously and got a table. Although I would recommend a reservation. The staff is super friendly and the food is a dream. We've already been to a few Greek places but the food was simply amazing. We'll be back on our next vacation.

We were three adults and a baby. The food itself was mediocre, dry but plentiful. We had the impression that they wanted to get rid of us quickly so that the baby wouldn't disturb the other guests, even though we tried to keep him quiet.

Unavailable, no one answers the phone to make reservations. Without a reservation you can't even get a table for two people. Employees were very rude!!

Is really one of the top restaurants. Food like in Greece/Cyprus. Portions are not small, you get a lot for your money and of top quality. I always enjoy coming to this restaurant to eat. A tip: you almost always have to book 2 weeks in advance.

Never again! Waited 45 minutes for the food, the food was lukewarm. Then the lamb chops on the grill plates were completely dry and inedible, and the portion of tzatziki was limited to 1 tablespoon each. A drink came wrong and cutlery was forgotten. Mom is missing.

4 people arrived early without a reservation, all their tables were reserved, but they gave us a place at a table that was reserved for 2 hours later, which we were very grateful for. The calamares with giros were cooked perfectly, and the entry salad was refreshingly fresh. Dining with a group of 5, everyone left satisfied. Card payments are accepted, but they only accept tips in cash. Overall, a great experience!

Nunca tinha experimentado e adorei a comida grega, muito saborosa, diferente de tudo que já comi e adorei. O aquecimento que estava um pouco fraco, mas no geral fiquei muito feliz por ter ido.

Wir haben zu Mittag dort gegessen. Das Essen war oberschlecht.Ich wollte Knoblauchkartoffen Was ich bekam waren halbe Knnoblauchzehen und trockene Kartoffelscheiben. Das Schweinefiet war mit Gouda überbacken kein Schafskäse, hat mit Griechenland nichts zu tuen. Das Essen war kalt so auch die Kneipe da ständig die Türe offen war. Insgesamt nicht zu empfehlen.

Waren heute hier zum Abendessen hatten nicht reserviert und trotzdem einen guten Platz bekommen obwohl ziemlich was los war. Bedienungen waren sehr nett,schnell und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr gut Gyros richtig knusprig Calamaris auch super. Also kann man nur Empfehlen 👍

Es war nicht gut aber Service war okay, man muss sagen nur die frau war gut sonst nicht empfehlenswert, danke fürs lesen.

War vom Essen schon etwas enttäuscht. Service war sehr freundlich. Unsere Klamotten konnten wir nach dem Besuch direkt in die Waschmaschine stecken.

Küche war früher immer top, griechisch wie in Griechenland. Diesmal aber enttäuschend. Bei dieser Mussaka würden sich Griechen im Grab umdrehen. Auf einem grossen, kalten Teller findet man ein Eckchen was wohl Mussaka sein sollte. Unten teigig, oben teigig, dazwischen eine Lage Auberginen mit etwas Hackfleisch drauf, knapp lauwarm. Daneben Kartoffeln (waren OK). Die Hälfte des Tellers war mit einem lieblos hingeknallten Schnittsalat und etwas Tzatziki gefüllt, und das Ganze - wohl fürs Auge - mit Reibkäse getoppt. Klar, wenn man Salat und Hauptgericht auf denselben Teller knallt, spart der Kellner einen Gang und die Küche einen Teller. Zum Glück gibt es in Konstanz noch zwei weitere griechische Restaurants. Ich sage tschüss, aber nicht auf Wiedersehen.

Typisches griechisches Essen ohne Highlights aber gut. Netter und aufmerksamer Service und ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes, aber sympathisches Ambiente.

Man sollte sich vom Äußeren nicht abschrecken lassen und dem Lokal eine Chance geben. Innen ist man bemüht es „griechisch“ aussehen zu lassen. Egal, Nebensache. Das Essen und der Wein überzeugt mit Geschmack. Auch die Bedienung freundlich und flink. Sehr zufrieden

Sypathischer und freundlicher Empfang. Der Akropolisteller hatte alles drauf was wir mögen. Das Suwlaki war zart und saftig, Gyros schön kross und aromatisch.

Der Stil erinnert an eine alte Bürgerstube. Durch die hohe Decke etwas laut. Die Küche und der Service kompensieren aber diese Kleinigkeit. Preis/Leistung stimmt hier.

Super leckeres Essen. Pitabrot mit Tzatziki. Mega! Vorspeisensalat supergut. Service so mega schnell trotz das es voll war wie sonstwas. Zwei verschiedene Grillteller. Leider habe ich statt Pommes Kartoffelscheiben bekommen aber da kann man echt alle Augen zudrücken. Mein Freund hatte Pommes. Die waren mega lecker ! Auch das ganze Fleisch etc. Für meinen Geschmack zu wenig Tzatziki aber man hätte sicher noch mehr bekommen. Sehr sehr netter Service . Würden wir sofort wieder hin gehen.

Jedes Mal wenn wir hier essen gehen schmeckt es super. Besonders empfehlen kann ich den Mittagstisch. Es gibt eine ausreichende Portion guten Essens zu einem guten Preis. Das Personal ist auch immer freundlich zu uns. Das Ambiente ist eher rustikal-gemütlich, uns gefällt es dort aber sehr.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Preise sind sehr ok👍👍👍👍👍👍 Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Das beste Griechische Restaurant in der Region. Immer frisch und auch immer individuelle Gerichte.wenn man den Chef fragt bekommt man auch Gerichte außerhalb der karte.auch die Gerichte selber sind zwar traditionellen aber auch innovative und speziell.

Waren zum Abendessen hier ,und bin positiv überrascht, das Essen war sehr gut ,hat geschmeckt wie im Urlaub, Bedienung sehr nett und freundlich und haben immer im richtigen Moment nachgefragt ob alles ok ist. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Sehr leckeres Moussaka! Nette Bedienung, sehr einfaches Interieur, schadet dem Ansturm allerdings nicht. Immer gut besucht. Preis Leistung vollkommen ok. Wir kommen gerne wieder
