A truly fantastic restaurant. The food was fresh, delicious, and authentic. The meat dishes, in particular, were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and attentive. You immediately feel welcome here. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the value for money is excellent. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Akropolis Mannheim.

We've been going to Akropolis in Mannheim regularly for around 15 to 18 years, about four to five times a year. The food and service are always top-notch – consistently friendly, fast, and of high quality. The renovation has caused the restaurant to lose some of its old charm, but that doesn't detract from the excellent cuisine and the overall pleasant experience. After all these years, Akropolis remains a regular destination for us and highly recommended.

Overpriced, the meat was dry and for the class and price I definitely expected more!

The food in the restaurant is very overpriced. It's not fine dining, just standard fare. Charcoal grills are everywhere, too. Where the hype comes from is a mystery to me.

There were eight of us at the Akropolis Mannheim and we had a wonderful meal. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food arrived at our tables at the same time. The tables were set with white linens and white cloth napkins, the seating was very comfortable, and the ambiance was very pleasant. 👍Everyone was delighted. The salads were fresh and very well dressed. The fish and meat, as well as the side dishes, were beautifully presented and tasted delicious.

We ate there last night, having discovered the restaurant through social media. The reception and service were super nice and friendly – ​​but they should have communicated more among themselves: we were asked twice each about our food and drinks, and both times we politely pointed out to the second waitress that we had already ordered. The selection on the menu makes it really difficult to decide; it's good that there's an online menu. After ordering, everything went very quickly; the appetizers are truly delicious! All the meat ordered is practically cooked on a charcoal grill behind the bar! How awesome is that?! Cooked to perfection, tender, truly flavorful meat – you feel really bad when you fill up so quickly. The prices are a bit higher, but they reflect the quality, taste, and quantity – nothing to complain about. The only criticism: for dress sizes XXL and up, the bolted-down tables with fixed benches are very tight for your stomach.

The food was good and tasty. The meat was very high quality. Service was fast and reliable. Portions weren't very large, however, and the side potatoes were a bit bland. Unfortunately, the prices were significantly too high, and the receipt was extremely questionable, which they deliberately didn't upload. Please reconsider the whole concept.

I've been a customer for years. I always feel at home. The food is very good, and the quality has remained consistently excellent. The staff are friendly and very nice. We're always treated warmly. Highly recommended.

I miss this place; we used to go there when it was open until 4:30... I'll never forget the taste of the garlic sauce; I've never had it anywhere else. The pepperoni and grilled bread are delicious. Maybe I'll visit again someday. For now, greetings from Hamburg.

What a restaurant! Family-owned for over 60 years, with a name that's quite common. The building is also very unassuming. But the service, the food, and the preparation are absolutely world-class!

A delicious restaurant with a small but beautiful courtyard/outdoor terrace, it feels like you're in Greece. Zoé was our server; she was very friendly and polite, open to any questions, and helpful. The guests were regulars, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming; it felt like visiting family. If we're ever in Mannheim again, we'll definitely come back. Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe da und konnten bei schönstem Sommerwetter im hübschen Hof unterm Rebendach sitzen. Der Empfang war mehr als herzlich, die Getränke gut gekühlt und die Gerichte kamen schnell und in großer Vielfalt auf die Tische. Wir hatten der Küche freie Hand bei der Wahl der Speisen gegeben. Eigentlich reicht die Vielfalt der unterschiedlichen Vorspeisen schon, um auf seine Kosten zu kommen. Die klassisch griechischen sowie die asiatisch interpretierten Empfehlungen sind alle unglaublich lecker. Wer dann noch Hunger hat, teilt am besten ein hochwertiges Fleisch oder lässt sich den Fischteller schmecken. Etwas Platz sollte man in jedem Fall für eines oder mehrere Desserts lassen. Wie die Vorspeisen in die Mitte auf den Tisch zum Teilen kann man von allem probieren und das sollte man auch unbedingt! Bugatsa, warmer Schokokuchen, Erdnussriegel…für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Unbedingt reservieren und egal zu welcher Jahreszeit einen wunderbaren Abend genießen!

The Akropolis in Mannheim has a super cozy and inviting atmosphere. The service was totally friendly and attentive. The food was really tasty, especially the acropolis plate - the meat was super tender and perfectly seasoned! The fresh salad and the starters (grilled pepperoni and fried calamari) were also great. Can highly recommend the restaurant. Had a very nice evening, thank you very much!

The service is really friendly and quick. We were lucky and got a table for 1 hour even though we hadn't made a reservation. Meat great, but the side dishes could use some seasoning. The coffee flavor is missing from the tiramisu. Unfortunately there is little choice for vegetarians.

Super cool restaurant. I come here almost regularly and it is one of the best Greek restaurants I know. The food is simply amazing and the garlic sauce is a dream. I can only recommend everyone to eat here, but you should make a reservation in advance because it is always busy.

Akropolisteller (mix grilled meat platter) was AMAZING 🤤🥹 The steak and lamb is so perfectly grilled 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 the sauce to pair with it also so good, definitely elevated the steak flavour 😳 the salad that came together was also well seasoned, very refreshing! Just order this if you’re first time there and have no idea what to try! Tintinfischteller (squid platter) was also not bad, most of the squid is grilled to perfection as well, one slightly over but still acceptable! The starter — grilled bread, was the best bread / best start bread I’ve had in Germany so far 🤩 it pick up the smoky fragrant of the grill so well!! (I usually don’t finish the starter bread lol but this was so good) Quality of the ingredient is pretty fresh, the chef knows what’s he doing! Flavour, texture, everything is really great! House Red wine 🍷 (recommended by the waitress) is nice too! My boyfriend love it 🥰 The restaurant is not that big and it’s fully reserved, however we reach at the time they just open, so they still let us dine for an hour. Making a reservation is pretty much recommended 😊

Unfortunately, the Akropolis is a bit dated. Prices have also risen dramatically. The food used to taste much better. I wanted to give it another chance, but I think I'll pass.

Today, six of us went to eat at Akropolis...it was truly perfect...the service, the amazing starters with delicious bread, the fish and meat of fantastic quality...and the dessert absolutely delicious...we'd love to come back. If you're looking for high-quality Greek cuisine, this is the place for you...

Very friendly service. My gyro meat was a bit mixed but generally speaking everyone else's food was great. The ambience was classically beautiful. Unfortunately, I had significant problems with the scent of the flowers. At least I hope it was the flowers. For all of us, I say like toilet freshener, so it kind of grossed me out. But everyone is so nice and still recommended.

The Akropolis Restaurant offers an excellent culinary experience with a diverse menu. I had the pleasure of trying the fillet steak ribeye and veal chop and all dishes exceeded our expectations. The food was deliciously prepared and of high quality. The service was always attentive and professional, which contributed to an overall pleasant visit. Overall, I can fully recommend the Akropolis restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit.

The food was nice, however we got mushrooms instead of mussels due to mistranslation in the English menu we used. I really cannot complain about the lrmon soup, the lamb, the veal liver or any of the sweets we had. The place looks very neat and classy, but I'm afraid they are understaffed. It took 10 minutes to get the menu, additional 30 to order and some more waiting to get the food. Overall about an hour waiting despite we had a reservation.

If you are looking for a Greek restaurant after work that is still open very late, the Akropolis is the perfect place for you if you accept the slightly higher price level. In return, mine has excellent meat quality.

Without exaggerating, I haven't had such a good meal in a restaurant in a long time. The starter was already a dream. Then an Acropolis plate, the meat was so tender, simply delicious. The sauces were perfectly balanced and the salad looked like it was fresh from the market. You can't beat the service either. Everyone was super friendly. Thank you for this lovely evening.

The best Greek with by far the best steaks.

It does! Look at the picture and do it. Go there. Excellent meat quality, grilled to perfection. Excellent selection of starters and side dishes! The Greek dishes, whether fish or meat, are also top.

We always wanted to try the place because of positive recommendations. Personally, I can't understand the many very good reviews. The reserved table was not yet free when we arrived on time, making it difficult to wait due to the narrowness of the restaurant. Would there have been another one available at the time, obviously better located for regular customers? The flexibility was missing. The assigned table was narrow, in the next room, in the corner next to toilets, some of us were just looking at a wall. It was also very cramped in the rest of the restaurant that Friday evening (the pictures on the website give a somewhat different picture), but that's why it wasn't exactly comfortable. It always felt cold from the door, even though we weren't even sitting right next to it. The service likes to focus on regular customers with high-priced orders. The ambience takes some getting used to, with stone-look wallpaper, very outdated but that's the case with many other Greek restaurants too. The food was good but nothing more and the price/performance ratio was not appropriate. The meat is of good quality, but the salmon was sliced ​​very thinly and therefore too dry, and the frozen vegetable side dishes were steam-cooked and not very seasoned. Hollandaise sauce on every second dish has nothing to do with Greek cuisine. The starters were ok but limited in quantity. If you compare the card a year ago the prices increased by at least 25%. They somehow try to strike a balance between Greek cuisine and upscale cuisine, which unfortunately doesn't work. Apart from the external appearance, I was missing a certain warmth here that is so typical in Greek restaurants.

Außerdem bin ich von der Qualität des fleisches beeindruckt, die ist oberste Klasse. Es ist ein Edelrestaurant, das ist sicher. Nur einige Tische hinten sind etwas zu klein für 4 Personen zb. Aber sonst gibt es keine Anregungen. Die Lammkoteletts sind absolute Empfehlung meinerseits. Geh wieder gerne hin.

Das Essen ist perfekt. Wir haben lange nicht mehr so gutes leckeres und zartes Fleisch/ Fisch gehabt. Ich ziehe keine Punkte ab, aber das trockene Gewürz am Ende ggf. nur auf die Seite, auf dem Teller streuen. Somit hat man die Wahl. Uns war es an einigen Stellen zu viel von diesem Gewürz. Oder allg. Etwas weniger, ist bekanntlich mehr. Das Ambiente ist klasse, alles sieht sauber aus und ist ordentlich. Die Blumen, waren erstaunlicherweise echt und sehr schön zusammengestellt. Die Bäder könnt man renovieren, aber waren sauber und funktional.

Alles Super! Essen war perfekt! Leider hat einer der Kellnerin so viel Parfüm getragen, dass jedes mal wenn sie den Raum betreten hat man es sofort gerochen hat. Ohne sie zu sehen.

Waren schon lange nicht mehr griechisch essen. Persönlich habe ich das Gefühl, das es mit der Qualität etwas bergab geht, möglicherweise durch die gestiegenen Energiekosten. Ja und dann sind wir spontan im Akopolis gelandet. Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert waren richtig gut. Wir haben uns natürlich total überfressen … aber im Großen und Ganzen waren die frisch gegrillten Lammkoteletts und Steaks wirklich gut. Ich habe nichts zu bemängeln. Kann es mit ruhigen Gewissen weiterempfehlen…
