I finally visited an Ahoi Steffen Henssler restaurant, they are springing up like mushrooms in many places. The food was okay, but everything was more of a snack level. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was good. This doesn't need repeating.

I've eaten at Ahoi Oldenburg several times and it's always tasted great. You never had to wait long for your orders and the portion sizes were more than generous. What is particularly worth mentioning are the extremely competent and very courteous employees. I always felt very welcome and was happy to recommend the restaurant to others.

Final closure by the end of July at the latest! The many fluctuations from really very good to just tolerable mean that the sixth last sentence of our ratings will soon come true. Or to put it bluntly here, the final closure of the restaurant will take place by the end of July at the latest. Here is the penultimate update: Unfortunately, things will go downhill again in May and June 2024. The austerity measures are getting out of hand and there is no responsible local management. Directly neighboring restaurants are full, the Ahoi remains empty. This could be changed with very simple measures. But the headquarters have probably already written off the Oldenburg restaurant. A pity... Here are our reviews so far since opening: At the beginning there was a positive change. Visits in November and December 2022 showed that the improvements in service could be sustained. This was also evident in April, May and the rest of 2023, with only minor fluctuations at best. If things continue like this, Oldenburger Ahoy is on the right track. After a first-class start on the opening day with a very good service staff who was extremely friendly and introduced themselves by name to greet us, the restaurant unfortunately declined with each of our subsequent visits. So on the first day we were welcomed in front of the house and shown to the table, only to have to look for it ourselves on subsequent visits, completely unnoticed. It's a shame, because the food is quite good despite being obviously pre-prepared. The rooms are varied. With a committed and stable management that should be able to provide good guidance to the many employees who are not particularly qualified, the company could be successful in the long term. Otherwise it will be another flash in the pan in Oldenburg... Addendum: On our most recent visit on May 9th, the service was significantly better again, very pleasing! A further visit a few days later also reinforced the impression of consolidation at a medium level. That's a good thing, but there is still room for improvement, as further visits in June showed. The service is now a little better and quite friendly, but unfortunately the level is not constant. There are always incomprehensible fluctuations.

Das gereichte Essen war nicht in der gewohnten “Henssler Qualität” sondern schlecht und ohne Liebe angerichtet und serviert. Brot zum Essen konnte man nicht bestellen, war angeblich alle. Das Hauptgericht war völlig versalzen und somit ungenießbar. Zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang lagen 35 Minuten Wartezeit obwohl nur zwei Tische im Innenbereich besetzt waren! Das Personal war lustlos und begründete die langen Wartezeiten mit Ausfall des Küchenpersonals wegen Krankheit. Das Restaurant war ziemlich leer. Ahoi Oldenburg ist nicht zu empfehlen!

Sehr leckeres Frühstück genossen und von tollem Servicepersonal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich bedient worden! Wir kommen wieder!

Good morning. We spontaneously went to AHOI Oldenburg on a Thursday lunchtime. The service from the waitress was courteous and extremely friendly. The panfish with potato pancakes and the teriyaki beef burger with fries that we ordered were super tasty. The size of the dishes was perfect and large enough. Nobody needs to leave here hungry. It's definitely not the last time we've been to AHOI. Thank you.

All in all a nice evening with good food

We were there for the first time 👍 Since almost all the tables outside were occupied, we decided to go inside. Were received very friendly and advised. Prices were okay, it tasted so good, even for our 10 year old. Granddaughter ate everything 😁 Nice northern German atmosphere. 🐋🐋🐋

Es war wieder fantastisch. Ein Blümchen und Prosecco zum Geburtstag. Wahnsinnig schnell kamen Getränke und Essen. Es schmeckte uns allen hervorragend. Toll gewürzt und heiß. Was will man mehr ?Wir kommen wieder !!!

We were able to reserve a place for a larger group at short notice. Apart from us, there were only a few guests in the restaurant, so we were served well and quickly. Personally, I was disappointed with the food and had expected more from an AHOI restaurant... The steak tasted delicious and was well fried, but given the advertised Henssler style fries, I expected a lot more. In the end it was just a few French fries that were topped with some pepperoni, onions and greens and decorated with a little white sauce. There was so little sauce that you couldn't even taste its flavor. I expected a lot more from the entire description in the card. It's a shame ☹️

(Thank you for providing the appropriate conditions for ♿️.) It is important to be sensitive. Anyway, let's talk about the service and the food. The service was very fast and attentive. The meals are very delicious and satisfying. But the reason why I gave it 4 stars was because the food was cold. It would be better if they pay attention to this. After all, no one goes anywhere to eat cold food. Prices are also at a normal level. It is located in the heart of the city of Oldenburg. Overall we were satisfied. Thank you😇

Hamburger Pannfisch Ahoi Style for €26.50 was a bad choice. Very small portion for a hefty price. Not enough to fill you up. 2 small potato pancakes and a small piece of cod on top. I was happy and disappointed. However, the service was very good.

I had an alcohol-free snack, which unfortunately wasn't really that cold. But I didn't think that was really that bad. The service was polite, so I'm happy to give it 5 stars. But the food we ordered was subpar! The bratwurst (veal) with spices was dry and the sauce was soggy. The fries were okay, but I personally really didn't like the greens on the fries. Your own sense of taste may play a role, but in my opinion the bratwurst looked as if it was no longer edible.

No more buffet, just a small but expensive breakfast menu (who wants a bowl of muesli for €12-14???) and long waiting times, even though we are the only ones. When the food finally arrives, the pancakes are hard and the coffee with milk is rather lukewarm. A clear rejection for the future.

We had a voucher that we redeemed today. You can sit outside very nicely. The service was very friendly. We had Pommers and a small salad. Both were super tasty, no conventional fries, salad, great ingredients and delicious dressing. We will be back definitely

Die Atmosphäre war angenehm ruhig. Es war kein Problem, dass wir zwei kleinere Kinder dabei hatten. Der Service war ausnehmend freundlich. Wir werden daher auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Sehr gutes und nettes Personal. Speisen waren sehr lecker. Ein Fischgericht war nicht richtig warm, wurde aber ohne Beanstandung umgehend neu gemacht und war im zweiten Anlauf sehr gut. Fritten Hensler-Style sind der Hit!

An enrichment for the Oldenburg gastronomy, with incredibly nice service staff. Prices are still acceptable, completely ok compared to Oldenburg. The menu has variety, I would like a little more fresh ingredients. We'd love to come back!!

Enjoyed delicious food with friends

Spontaneously (4:30 p.m.) reserved a table for 7:45 p.m. with 5 people (a birthday child). Upon arrival, we were assigned a discreetly decorated table with warm congratulations and a round of champagne to toast the house... Afterwards, with a moderate waiting time (approx. 15 - 20 minutes), we were served WONDERFUL food (2x crispy fish burgers, 2x fish n chips, 1x Teriyaki Beef... all with “Fresh Frits Henssler Style”). Everything was very tasty and the service was great. Gladly again! Many thanks to the great team for a great evening!

Ahoi Currywurst is not a currywurst, but a bratwurst in the appropriate sauce. Max. 3 stars, but the fries are 5.5 stars...

Wir hatten aufgrund unseres Besuchs Ostern 2023, wieder einen Tisch bestellt, um das super Frühstücksbuffet / Brunch zu genießen. Wie sich beim Eintreffen leider herausstellte, gibt es dies nicht mehr. Es wir nur noch Frühstück a la carte angeboten, was unseren Wünschen leider nicht entsprach. Der Servce hat super reagiert und freundlich reagiert, aber wir sind dann zu einem Mitbewerber ausgewichen, wo das Angebot unseren Erwartungen eines Osterfrühstücksbuffets angeboten wurde. Ich finde es schade, dass das Frühstücksbuffet nicht mehr angeboten wird, aber die GF wird ihre Gründe gehabt haben, es aus dem Angebot zu nehmen.

Kein Brot serviert zum Salat. Toiletten waren nicht wirklich sauber. Speisekarte sehr überschaubar und die Preise sind auch am oberen Limit verglichen mit den Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung.

Wir waren mit 8 Personen vor Ort. Der Service war super! Das Essen kam schnell und hatte eine sehr gute Qualität.

We were here for the first time and were warmly welcomed. I was worried about getting a free table on a Friday evening without a reservation, but strangely enough, almost everything was empty (we probably wouldn't have gotten a table in the surrounding restaurants). Of course I was familiar with the name Henssler and without any connection, I assumed that they served healthy, fresh dishes that were perhaps a little unusual. At least that's what I expected considering the prices. However, I am neither a bowl nor a burger fan. I can't say that the food wasn't good overall, but it still felt more like an expensive fast food chain. I missed the vegetables in the Fish'n Chips dish. There was a small glass of cucumber salad, which tasted so sour that I wasn't sure whether it had to be that way or whether it was bad. We probably won't come back.

We enjoyed the food very much. There was a very warm atmosphere. It wasn't extremely loud either, so you could have a good conversation. We will come back again and recommend the restaurant to others.

We have already been to the AHOI in Oldenburg several times. This time we were again completely satisfied. The starter - Tuna Sashimi fried in a wonderful sauce, is our absolute favorite. This alone is worth a visit. The Shrimp & Chips Henssler Style are really great. Great taste thanks to onion, coriander, chili topping. Finally, the lukewarm chocolate cake with red jelly and ice cream - also very delicate. The restaurant concept is really strong because the products offered have each been perfected and then standardized, while always maintaining the same high quality. Hats off. The service was extremely accommodating. I was asked very politely several times whether everything was OK. is. We had reserved via OpenTable and requested a seat in the back area. This was complied with and this was even explicitly addressed by the service lady. AHOI - a clear recommendation from me.

Wir waren bereits wiederholt im AHOI in Oldenburg. Auch dieses Mal waren wir wieder rundum zufrieden. Die Vorspeise - Tuna Sashimi gebraten in einer wunderbaren Sauce, ist unser absoluter Favorit. Allein hierfür lohnt ein Besuch. Die Shrimps & Chips Henssler Style sind wirklich klasse. Super im Geschmack durch Zwiebel, Koriander, Chili Topping. Zuletzt das lauwarme Schokoküchlein mit Roter Grütze und Eis - ebenso sehr delikat. Das Restaurantkonzept ist wirklich stark, da die angebotenen Produkte jedes für sich perfektioniert und dann standardisiert wurden, bei stets gleicher hoher Qualität. Hut ab. Der Service war herausragend zuvorkommend. Mehrfach wurde sehr freundlich gefragt, ob alles i.O. ist. Wir hatten über OpenTable reserviert und einen Platz im hinteren Bereich angefragt. Dem wurde nachgekommen und dies sogar von der Servicedame explizit angesprochen. AHOI - eine klare Empfehlung von mir.

We reserved a table in advance and were asked to choose any table that was available on site. That was a bit questionable. The staff is nice, the food is good and plentiful. Unfortunately you didn't feel like you wanted to stay long, it wasn't very comfortable. But nice facility.

Had the vegan burger with fries. It clearly stands out from other competitors, a completely new taste experience 😋. However, the high prices do not allow me to visit regularly.

My personal impression of Ahoy in Oldenburg is extremely positive! The staff is very friendly and attentive without being intrusive, the ambience fits the northern German flair, beautifully modern furnishings, not too rustic! You get a cup of popcorn as a snack beforehand (great idea). The teriyaki burger was super juicy and the bun wasn't too dry, so it was just right!! The price-performance ratio is right and is completely ok! Gladly again😊

We had lunch at Ahoy in Oldenburg on Sunday February 4th, 2024. There were two of us sitting at a table at the very back left in the corner. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and were given time to relax in a very comfortable and stress-free manner to look at the cards, the lovely waitress (she deserves 5 stars) that day was very friendly and always there for us ☺️ also asked us if everything was okay and made us feel like we were warmly welcome as guests here :) We had a soup as a starter, it was excellent and the salmon bowl was also great, as was the lemonade. We will definitely come back and thank you again for the lovely afternoon :)

Nice restaurant cozy and nice size. Nice staff at the beginning you always get salty popcorn which shortens the waiting time for the food and I didn't have to wait long for the food.

Ganz nettes Personal, es war nicht so voll, Ambiente ist schön. Witzige Idee ist das salzige Popcorn vorweg, der Wein war gut, unsere 3 verschiedenen Burger auch. Einzig hätte das Essen etwas heißer sein können. Aber ansonsten ganz prima!

We have reserved a table. When we entered the restaurant we were immediately seen by two waitresses, but they didn't come up to us to assign us a table, so we waited for another colleague who then greeted us. We enjoyed the food, but the service was still inadequate. We would have liked to order a drink and a dessert, but during our entire stay there was no inquiry as to whether everything was OK or whether we would like to order anything (the restaurant was about 1/3 full). Since the food is rather higher priced, the quality of service was not up to par in my opinion. Even when we left the restaurant, we didn't say goodbye when we walked past the service staff.

First of all: the service was very nice and attentive. Even special requests were received with a smile and fulfilled. It was also positive that we were both able to get a place on a Saturday afternoon. The ambience was pretty cozy too. However, there is a star deduction for the very dry bun of the otherwise delicious burger and for the fact that we tried two tables, both of which wobbled quite badly. It was our first time with Mr. Henssler and we were hoping for a special culinary experience. Overall, however, the food wasn't really anything special. We've had better tasting food for less money. However, when it comes to the quality of the ingredients, everything was fine.

Unfortunately very disappointing! The quality of the products leaves us in doubt... The mango is unripe, hard, tasteless. The truffle butter has probably only seen the truffle from a distance! Unfortunately, that wasn't a positive taste experience. The service employee was very friendly, attentive and obliging. However, she couldn’t save “it” either…

Super leckere Burger (bester vegetarischer Burger, den ich je gegessen habe) und Pommes, nur unser Sohn (Vegetarier) hat leider auf der Karte nichts gefunden. Wir kommen trotzdem wieder.

We were here with 4 children. The kids had the children's burger menu. The bread was so dry that they could hardly eat it. The adults' burger wasn't quite as dry, but the patty was dry... the service was friendly but didn't get a few things right. Overall for the price, 2 adults two children, 85€, you should expect more. Definitely the last time I've been here, it's a shame, the atmosphere is great

Der Service war leider UNHEIMLICH langsam, obwohl wir nahezu die einzigen Kunden waren. Die Burger waren knochentrocken, die Bowls konnten geschmacklich gar nicht überzeugen und einige Bestellungen wurden einfach gar nicht gebracht. Einzig die Pommes waren wirklich sehr lecker. Ansonsten leider viel zu teuer für zu wenig Leistung. Super schade.

Wir haben einen sehr netten Abend zu zweit verbracht. Der Service war perfekt, die Vorspeise und die Hauptspeise waren super und kamen gleichzeitig und toll serviert an. Wir können es nur weiter empfehlen!
