I bet restaurants in Ghana will struggle to beat the quality of their food and flawless service. It’s the very place to be whenever you are in Berlin and looking for good Ghanaian food. We are definitely coming back again!

I had a dine in at this place and it was awesome! Food was okay, service was good and the atmosphere is lovely, busy though. Lovely staff too!

The service was ok, the workers are friendly and polite but one has to wait long before they can tend to you. We travelled for more than 400km with my family to test the food here but we were disappointed with what we got, dry and burned fish with less to see see on it was served. I don’t know if wasn’t our luck day there, but we were very dissatisfied with the food.

Everything look so yummy but i was there alone. I ordered for fufu and egusi curry which is not in the menu but i think you can ask for that but you need to be patient but no so long time. Food was so amazing. I will come to this restaurant again when i come to visit Berlin.

It was the first time my mum and I’ve visited Afropot. Eve was very kind to us and the food was as promised very(!) spicy. We’d definitely recommend & come back with the rest of our family & friends😊

Literally one of the best meals I had while in Berlin. You need to go get a dish. A lot of food - if I can make this chicken at home I will. Traditional German food is good- but if you miss the heat (I’m from Houston) you need to come here. (Googled west African cookbooks…🤓)

We were there together for the first time today. The food (fufu & pepper sauce) was mega & simply authentic. (pure childhood) For me it's definitely the best African food in all of Berlin. From a culinary point of view you can't get any closer to Ghana. The team is great and, above all, dear Eve is a fantastic and very warm host. See you soon, I promise <3

I got some jollof ,fish and puff puff which tasted ok ,my food was microwaved , plantain and the puff puff were hard because it was microwaved too ,poor customer service,the server was super unfriendly,she just stares at your face when you ask her questions , The owner is super friendly but the server naaah

The two of us ate there and it was unfortunately very loud and crowded, so we had to look for a place for a long time and ended up on a very dingy sofa with a Euro pallet as a table, so it was rather uncomfortable to eat. My friend had already finished her meal when my food arrived, but the nice young woman apologized and explained that it was due to the laborious preparation. In any case, the food was extremely tasty and something completely, completely different than anything I've ever had before! So overall we were very satisfied because we really wanted to eat African food and it was really worth it!

Now the secret is probably out! This is the best food I know in Berlin – and I know my way around here well. The pictures show what authentic, excellent Ghanaian food looks like. It's like in Africa! It's a very special aesthetic. The way Ghanaians deal with rice, meat, fish and plantains is simply different than what we are used to in Europe. More specifically: my order tonight was banku (a grain), peanut sauce, okra and beef. This is traditionally eaten with your hands (although cutlery is also available). I've tried almost everything on the menu and come by at least twice a week. Everything is fresh and made completely from scratch – even the sauces. Banku, Kenkey, Waakye, Jollof... everything tastes fantastic. And yes, it is often as busy as Disneyland. The people here are also extremely nice, friendly and customer-oriented. The team is in a good mood. Like Ubuntu,. But it's always very busy. And it ends at 8 p.m. So my tip: be prepared for something special and don't come too late in the evening!

Bought some small snack foods/dishes to go with our dinner. Literally like some fried beignets and fried plantains. After we order those we order our main dinner. By the time the food came out from this place our main food was served for 20 minutes. In total the order took 41 minutes to serve. As well as the fact the dough tasted sour and had an alcoholic taste. Idk how that happens on a sweet tasting dish but it did. Unless you want to wait 40+ minutes for your food and risk having bad quality food, did not have any mains so idk if their mains are bad for sure, I would go here.

I am here every week when I’m in town since 1 year straight. The best African food period! I love everything in the menu but the peanut soup is my favorite . The people are lovely & you definitely get what you pay for. I’ve come here with my family, friends, dates and even during my tribulations. This is my therapist!!!

The food tastes as it should. As a West African I can confirm this!! My new favorite restaurant. The jollof, fried rice and banku have it all. I can't complain about the friendliness and service either.

Overall, not too bad, but could be better. The peanut soup was very good however the all the beef pieces were very hard and simply not edible. I had to throw them out. The chicken was also raw. Service was okay, but quite a long wait time (45 minutes).

My first experiences 6 months ago were very good, unfortunately the last ones were very bad. We waited an extremely long time until we could order, even though there was only one person in front of us (the woman at the checkout simply ignored us). Everything came from the microwave, so the jollof had no taste at all. The waakye was so overcooked it was like match. The side salad had canned beans and peas on it, but why? Many dishes were also sold out, even though it was only 6 p.m. If the service and quality of the food improves, I'll come back.

We had the jolof rice. The taste wasn’t amazing, and it felt dry and reheated. The chicken that came with it was still really pink inside. The service was fine. But you’d expect something better especially for the price.

My only bad experience with African food

I am sorry, but the food is overrated 😢 I had Jollof Chicken. 3/5 is the only possible score for the taste. Maybe I am just not experienced enough with this Kitchen, but the chicken was burnt. The rice was ok. The service and the atmosphere was good.

Very nice employees who also ask questions to make sure everything has been understood correctly. Fufu with Peanut Soup was very tasty and challenged my very low spiciness tolerance. Fortunately, the Puff Puff were able to compensate for this with their pleasant sweetness.

Felt ignored and unwelcome by the woman at the checkout as she seemed busy talking to a friend. I felt like she was deliberately ignoring me because I was definitely in her field of vision. Plus, there wasn't much going on and I only ordered one dish, but I was still forgotten. They only started preparing my dish when I asked how long it would take after I had already waited half an hour. Unfortunately, I didn't get my food until my friends had already finished eating because they had gotten their food from another food stall. I don't think I would order from them again since I had such a bad experience with the service. Nonetheless, the food was delicious. I had the okra stew with beef and the meat was very tender. Very unfortunate.

Sensational! If you want authentic Kenkey with fish, Jollof or Waakye this is the place to be. The food was amazing and the Sobolo drink 10/10. It’s definitely on the spicier side so be prepared a little but every penny worth it.

I go around different countries to try and promote African restaurants. Afropot in Berlin is by far the worst place I have eaten. Poor customer service, substandard food which was served cold and when asked to warm up took ages. The staff seem like they are not bothered and just want your money. After travelling half an hour to come to this place they did not even get my order right. I Would ask anyone thinking of eating hear to think again as you will be disappointed.

Worst meal ever was handed over the counter Sunday, early evening by a person who was more busy on his mobile device than taking proud of his work. The dish called waakye was heated in a microwave, nevertheless, more cold than warm including a hardboiled egg (green inside) and a piece of chicken which was cold and dry. What a shame that a place like Afropot not have higher expectations of showing their original kitchen than old food being reheated. My advice: go for another choice as Afropot is a waste of money.

Loved the vegan/vegetarian options too! The rice is amazing (as the cooking bananas too), but if you are not a fan of spicy or hot food, you should be prepared. 😋The food is so good! Hope someone will come up with something like this in Finland too! FIN: Really good food and really good service. Also good options for vegans. If you don't like hot or spicy food, this is not for you.

Afropot Berlin: A Taste of Home (and Beyond!) Afropot Berlin transported me straight back to Ghana with their incredible Omutuo! The flavours were absolutely on point, a delicious wave of nostalgia washing over me with every bite. It's clear they put a lot of love into their dishes here. My wife, on the other hand, tackled the Jollof rice. While it was definitely good, I have to say, after a taste of my Omutuo, I couldn't help but feel it could have used a little extra something. (Maybe a hint of friendly competition between spouses, eh?) But fear not, Jollof lovers! Even if it wasn't quite a knockout for me, the overall experience at Afropot was fantastic. We finished things off by sharing some Puff Puff, and let me tell you, those were out of this world! Light, fluffy, and bursting with flavour - the perfect ending to a delicious adventure. If you're looking for a taste of West Africa in Berlin, Afropot absolutely delivers. Highly recommend the Omutuo (and maybe bring your own Jollof spice preferences, just in case). Don't forget to grab some Puff Puff for dessert - you won't regret it!

Unfortunately a great disapointment, really bad food, unfriendly service.

No toilet, I question the cleanliness, not suitable for children, very expensive, everything there is that you can do at home for much cheaper. Was very unseasoned My mom's fish was way too hard. My fufu dish was way too oily and wasn't worth the price. Service leaves a lot to be desired and hardly responded to me.

I had the pleasure of eating at Afropot today and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I ordered the chicken waakye and the man in the kitchen took care of the preparation. You could see that he was in his element and prepared the dish with great dedication. It was simply delicious! The service at the checkout was also excellent. The woman at the checkout served me with such friendliness that I immediately felt welcome. It is rare to experience such friendly service in this mall on Potsdamer Platz. The generosity towards people who need our help also deserves the highest recognition ❤️. Thank you for this wonderful culinary experience and for your kindness! ❤️

Byfar the best African food I have had outside of Africa . The staff is Friendly and welcoming… I came so late and asked for item on the menu and boy was I In for a feast. 10/10

I rate the jollof rice with chicken here, especially in comparison to other food options in the area. Good flavour, the tomato sauce jollof rice was delicious and the chicken was succulent. If you’re in manifesto, this is a great option!

This was better than some I've had in Ghana! Very authentic and delicious with pleasant service.

The food is delicious here. I tried African food for the first time and I loved it. The rice was delicious, vegetables were cooked but not mushy and the beef was tender. Beef could be a bit more juicy I believe. The spiciness was on point for me but it could be a bit spicy for those who are not used to a bit of hotness. Service was quick and friendly too. All in all, very satisfying meal and would definitely try again.

Is my 3rd time eating their Meal and will be my 4th time after this post. Cos I am already on my way 😋. I don’t want to blow your mind. Geh einfach rein and give feedback. I found my second kitchen in Afro pot.

Bad. Really bad. One of my worst food court experiences was at this restaurant. We ordered two dishes of Waakye for dinner, one with chicken and one with meat. Even though we both ordered exactly one after the other, my friend's meat order was ready exactly two to three minutes after it was placed and my order wasn't ready until half an hour later, while my friend's meal was already ready. The restaurant staff simply forgot my order! The orders were of poor quality, expensive and weak in taste. Not only did we not get good food, but we also wasted a lot of time and money on poor quality food. Our evening was ruined. If you value your time, money and nerves, don't go here!

It's a great place to eat. Good food and kind, professional staff. I would say make the menu larger with bigger pictures. It helps foreigners a lot since most non-Ghanaians are first time 'adventurers' and dont want to spend time squinting to figure out what they want to eat. Also, sometimes food takes a long time to be served.

Nigeria 🇳🇬 Food with self-service right at the entrance to the food court in Playce. If you like Jollof rice and PuffPuff, this is the place for you. There are also vegan dishes. Ambience is not legendary in the food court.

Unfortunately my experience wasn't that good. Were initially ignored for 10 minutes. When we were finally able to place our order and someone came to the checkout, we had to wait more than an hour for our food. There was hardly anything going on, so we didn't understand the wait for our food, especially since most of it just needed to be warmed up. The microwave was also used for this purpose. When the food was there, to make matters worse, something was forgotten, which we were waiting for again. The food was ok, but not particularly good. The plantains were far too fatty and the rice was dry. - I know what I'm talking about because I'm a Nigerian myself and I cook it regularly. But wanted to see if others could do it better. - I am very disappointed because I have again experienced that the restaurant business for us Africans usually always fails because of the service friendliness. The food doesn't always have to be bad, but the unfriendliness and 'disrespectful attitude' is often what puts potential customers off.

We shared fish, okra, fried plantains, fufu, and rice dishes. My god, all of it was FABULOUS. We‘ll be back!

Super delicious food, generous portions! Ordered Red Red, Waakye, Jolof and Friedrice. We even left a lovely Happy Easter note :) Delivery within the specified period 👍 A good place for Ghanaian food!!!

You will find this restaurant on the right-hand side in the entrance area of ​​the food court. There is very good food, which can also be quite spicy. But very tasty! Of course, the ambience of the food court itself isn't worth any awards, but it's still cozy. And remember here too: card payments only ;).

Unfortunately, the meat from the fufu was not edible at all, it was all full of cartilage and unfortunately you couldn't chew it at all. The fufu itself and the peanut soup were very tasty. Another complaint was that we were told from the start that we would only have to wait 20 minutes, which was completely okay for us, but in the end we waited exactly 1 hour. You didn't even come up with the idea of ​​getting there somehow. A pity

We (mixed couple) drove there full of joy. I knew afropot from friends back then. The waitress/cashier was so rude she deliberately made us wait. At first I thought we were imagining it... when we got there and wanted to order we were already aware that certain menus were sold out when she told us and we were immediately ready to order the alternative, she just left...she wanted to She didn't even serve us, she did a lot of things wrong, which may have happened, but she was just deliberately ignorant. It's a shame we don't order anymore, we were simply ignored even though we had so much patience. Sadly, I hope it doesn't happen more often

Great place for a West African meal. They also have a variety of drinks, some are also of African origin. You can only pay with Card. NO CASH PAYMENTS. The service could use a lot of improvement though. Otherwise, I would go back

Outstanding Ghanaian food! I had a delicious and nourishing bowl of fufu with peanut soup (all vegan). The fufu was perfectly luscious and the soup was savory, spicy, and not too rich. Be sure to ask for the homemade bissip chili drink (not on the menu), which is perfect. Lovely English-speaking staff too.

Found this place randomly and i knew instantly that I’ll be back. The meals are tasty, the portions are great and the prices are reasonable. One little suggestion is that: i know plantains are supposed to be served hot but maybe a way can be found to keep it warm so customers don’t have to wait a little more for them. All in all, i will be ordering and bringing all my friends who love West African dishes here.

The best Ghanaian Food outside Ghana... I went there two times already and everything was delicious, authentic and full of love. If you wait a little longer or not everything is available it's not impolite or unprofessional, it's just a touch with the Ghanaian Culture. ;)

The plate was very small and it was all dry and overcooked. Plus, the people serving were not paying attention to the food but rather distracted with their friends visiting. There are options in the Manifesto. Go elsewhere.

Only one of the 5 menu cards displayed contains the updated prices (by €4!). Since the one updated card in my order was currently being used by another customer, I couldn't see the real prices. When asked, the response was “no time to update all the maps yet”.

Extremely expensive...they don't have the only vegan/vegetarian dish. No willingness to prepare anything else vegetarian.

We were there at 5 p.m. and there was only one dish left (Redred and Plantains), but the shop is open until 10 p.m. We came here specifically for the Ghanaian food and were very disappointed.

I went there with a dear friend of mine and we didn't find the restaurant (June 2023). I made a call to the provided number and we were told to ring the bell and go up to the fourth floor. So far, so weird. But it resulted in one of the funniest lunches I experienced over the past few years. We were heartily welcomed into the living room and were served excellent food. A proper amount of spicyness and an unexpected portion of deliciousness was presented to us. We had the Red-Red and the Jollof with beef, a Puff Puff and a Beef Patty and all dishes were really tasty and filling - I'm writing this at night after lunch and I didn't have a meal since and still feel satisfied. Thank you for the experience and having us at your place, I will cherish it!

We ordered today here for the first time and, oh boy was it a surprise. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was savory, tasty and well seasoned. The red red specifically was absolutely fantastic, and the fried platan complemented it beautifully. We will definitely be back! Special note: the owner was super friendly, available and happy to suggest what to try as well as accommodate us being vegetarian

My god im happy i found Eve and her amazing kitchen. Had Fufu with Light soup and it was amazing amazing! Not only you can taste how fresh it all is but you can also taste the amount of love put into it. Will be coming back for sure 💘

The portion and service were great, the price was very very reasonable :) The chicken and rice in jollof rice maaay be a bit under salted, the spicy sauce was 10/10 super spicy, the fried plantain was delicious.
