The food was very delicious. I had the beef peanut soup with fufu. The lady, Hannah, who took my order was hospitable and professional. I will come back again, with friends. I've told colleagues about this new found treasure in Berlin. I'm spreading the word: Afropot, Arkaden Mall- Potsdamer Platz, has authentic West African (Ghanaian) cuisine.

The food is wonderful! Very well seasoned and beautifully served. And the waitstaff is incredibly friendly. The prices are a bit steep, and they can get a bit busy when there are a lot of people. But the friendliness of the waitstaff and (especially) the quality of the food more than make up for it!

It was absolutely delicious! A well-organized menu, a great atmosphere, and super friendly service. I highly recommend it. :)

Delicious food in a warm, inviting environment. A welcome respite in our day of shopping and seeing sights. The flexibility in the menu, and availability of vegan options was much appreciated.

The food wasn't what they promised, it wasn't hot enough, and the fufu still had powder in the middle. Made on-site with just tap water, the dessert was so burnt. I won't be going there again. I don't recommend it.

I'm Ivorian, and our dishes have some similarities. I tried Ghanaian cuisine for the first time in Berlin at this restaurant, and it's really good. I've been going there regularly ever since. The staff is very welcoming, and the food is good with decent portions.

We had a family platter – two different rice dishes with a forkful of noodles and three different sauces… although "sauce" is a bit of a misnomer here. It really wasn't good, by all accounts.

I was there with my boyfriend on Friday, and we both thought the food was incredibly delicious. Definitely go there; the food was ready quickly and super fresh, so I highly recommend it.

Two of us ate here, or rather, tasted it. Both dishes weren't even close to lukewarm. The meat was too dry and tough. Only the coleslaw salad was somewhat edible. So, two more than half-full plates went in the trash.

The chicken was perfect. Loved it! Very sweet staff. I had some of the beef and it was too dry for me, but otherwise delicious!

Unfortunately, the meat from the fufu was not edible at all, it was all full of cartilage and unfortunately you couldn't chew it at all. The fufu itself and the peanut soup were very tasty. Another complaint was that we were told from the start that we would only have to wait 20 minutes, which was completely okay for us, but in the end we waited exactly 1 hour. You didn't even come up with the idea of ​​getting there somehow. A pity

The staff is very friendly and speak multiple languages. The food is amazing. Very flavorful. I plan to visit again to try something new.

The meat was very dry. Some dishes were labeled as spicy, but unfortunately, others were. This also applied to the children's menu. The waitress also seemed rather unwilling to sell anything.

The puff puff was very oily. The meat pie was very dry. Neither was recommended. The staff seemed unmotivated, and the whole place felt uninviting. We won't recommend it to anyone.

Fufu , okra with chicken is very delicious

Food is flavorless except for the taste of spice. restaurant is consistently out of 80% of dishes, even early on in the evening. Prices do not reflect what you get. Staff does not seem to care about any of the forementioned issues. Long wait for the dishes that are still available. Every time I've been here was disappointing.

Amazing West African kiosk serving in beautiful food hall with varied seating. I’m so happily surprised to find authentic jollof and grilled meats. Spicy sauces were fantastic. Sadly they sold their last fufu just as I arrived within the last hour of business day. Otherwise would have wanted to try their fufu, okro and peanut butter soup!

Yes, after we drove there for an hour, we were also greeted rudely, they were out of peanut butter soup and after I asked what else they had, they didn't know or would it have taken a long time to make new soups? Was definitely disappointing and overall poor service and poor communication.

It was my first time trying African food and wow I was delighted, it’s so good!! The personal was friendly and helpful and the food is a 10/10. The spicy food was out of this world ;)

Four of us ate there and I can't recommend it. Before we were allowed to order, the employees nicely ended their conversation. When it was finally our turn, we were greeted rudely, and this continued throughout the entire order. I specifically asked if fufu was spicy and the answer I got was, no, it's not spicy. Turned out the fufu was inedible for us as it was so spicy we couldn't eat it. Paid €18 to be received unfriendly and to be lied to. It has to be said that we are actually good at being sharp. Conclusion: You are lied to and served unfriendly. When I asked them about it, they laughed at me as I had my back to them.

I've always wanted to try fufu - and it was SO good!! The okra sauce is spicy - but a pleasant, tasty spiciness, the meat was very tender, the combination is great! The staff is totally friendly, nice and accommodating - clear recommendation!!

Unfortunately, the food (mushroom fufu vegan) was really not tasty. A very small portion with a very liquid consistency.

The front cashier’s attitude was unreasonably rude. besides, not accepting cash over the counter is rather archaic 😏

Hmm, I wanted to try the food and had fufu. Unfortunately, it tasted like smoke. Quite extreme. I had to give that back. They also responded nicely and suggested something else. I accepted that. I thought that they would simply re-serve the sauce with a different side dish. No, I got a sweet dessert instead. A snack, so to speak. I had paid 15 euros for the main course and was still hungry. I was then asked what I would like to have. Only: the dish I wanted obviously couldn't be remade. I was then suggested Jollof rice with plantains, which I accepted. However, I had already ordered plantains specifically at the beginning. So I had half a bowl of plantains, a dessert and Jollof rice again with plantains. I actually wanted to eat fufu. Well, and then I have to say that none of it was really tasty and, above all, it wasn't fresh either. It tasted like it had been warmed up and was rather very chewy. The only thing that was great was the vegan sauce with the fufu. Well, sorry, that was nothing. Although the service was quite friendly.

I’m from Ghana and have this food more or less everyday so never really went to a restaurant. I really enjoyed the food at Afropot. I left with a huge smile on my face and the food was GOOOOD. Felt like home. Will go back when I’m back in Berlin.

Terrible place! Refried already used meat, which is re-marinated and reheated. And then they say that such meat is brought to them by suppliers. It's delicious. Dear. I do not recommend.

This place had a 5-star from me before. Unfortunately they’re quality went downhill. The portions are smaller, the beef was dry and hard to eat and the Jolof rice wasn’t spicy even a little bit! The meat was in a condition I believe should not have left the kitchen. Sorry to see that happening but I won’t be taking food from here again!

Overall, good food from West African cuisine. For the price the portion could have been a little larger. Also still only one store in a shopping center. But the staff is incredibly friendly and you can tell they enjoy their job. If you want to try West African cuisine, you should definitely stop by

Vegans/vegetarians beware, false declaration! I've been there twice now and wanted to order a vegan dish - when I asked if it was really vegan they just smiled and said "No, actually just vegetarian". I further asked which ingredients were not vegan and then the employee showed me a bouillon cube with chicken broth. My comment that the dishes wouldn't even be vegetarian was only met with a tired shrug of the shoulders. I don't think it's a bad thing at all if it doesn't fit into a store's concept to offer vegan dishes - but here it really doesn't seem to matter to anyone that the dishes are labeled incorrectly - and have been for months! Actually a case for food control and consumer protection.

You can eat this food. However, I have to say that my fried bananas were cold, and the beans very salty. I asked the waitress if it was normal that it was this cold, and she said that she only put one cold banana (???) and she offered to reheat it. All the food was heated in the microwave and we still had to wait +20 minutes, but even that they did not manage to make it good: both of me and my partners dishes were partially cold. Very unpleasant. I don't think I am coming back tbh.

I bet restaurants in Ghana will struggle to beat the quality of their food and flawless service. It’s the very place to be whenever you are in Berlin and looking for good Ghanaian food. We are definitely coming back again!

Everything look so yummy but i was there alone. I ordered for fufu and egusi curry which is not in the menu but i think you can ask for that but you need to be patient but no so long time. Food was so amazing. I will come to this restaurant again when i come to visit Berlin.

It was the first time my mum and I’ve visited Afropot. Eve was very kind to us and the food was as promised very(!) spicy. We’d definitely recommend & come back with the rest of our family & friends😊

The service was ok, the workers are friendly and polite but one has to wait long before they can tend to you. We travelled for more than 400km with my family to test the food here but we were disappointed with what we got, dry and burned fish with less to see see on it was served. I don’t know if wasn’t our luck day there, but we were very dissatisfied with the food.

Literally one of the best meals I had while in Berlin. You need to go get a dish. A lot of food - if I can make this chicken at home I will. Traditional German food is good- but if you miss the heat (I’m from Houston) you need to come here. (Googled west African cookbooks…🤓)

Omg the best thing I've eaten so far, the meat was on point and the Red Red Plantain was the most incredibly delicious meal I've ever had and everyone Staff so incredibly nice!!

We were there with two energy kids which wanna eat Fufu and Jollof rise! Oh they liked it so much! We had to preorder chicken because it was so good! The stuff was super nice and friendly and we will be back!

I got some jollof ,fish and puff puff which tasted ok ,my food was microwaved , plantain and the puff puff were hard because it was microwaved too ,poor customer service,the server was super unfriendly,she just stares at your face when you ask her questions , The owner is super friendly but the server naaah

We were there together for the first time today. The food (fufu & pepper sauce) was mega & simply authentic. (pure childhood) For me it's definitely the best African food in all of Berlin. From a culinary point of view you can't get any closer to Ghana. The team is great and, above all, dear Eve is a fantastic and very warm host. See you soon, I promise <3

The two of us ate there and it was unfortunately very loud and crowded, so we had to look for a place for a long time and ended up on a very dingy sofa with a Euro pallet as a table, so it was rather uncomfortable to eat. My friend had already finished her meal when my food arrived, but the nice young woman apologized and explained that it was due to the laborious preparation. In any case, the food was extremely tasty and something completely, completely different than anything I've ever had before! So overall we were very satisfied because we really wanted to eat African food and it was really worth it!

Now the secret is probably out! This is the best food I know in Berlin – and I know my way around here well. The pictures show what authentic, excellent Ghanaian food looks like. It's like in Africa! It's a very special aesthetic. The way Ghanaians deal with rice, meat, fish and plantains is simply different than what we are used to in Europe. More specifically: my order tonight was banku (a grain), peanut sauce, okra and beef. This is traditionally eaten with your hands (although cutlery is also available). I've tried almost everything on the menu and come by at least twice a week. Everything is fresh and made completely from scratch – even the sauces. Banku, Kenkey, Waakye, Jollof... everything tastes fantastic. And yes, it is often as busy as Disneyland. The people here are also extremely nice, friendly and customer-oriented. The team is in a good mood. Like Ubuntu,. But it's always very busy. And it ends at 8 p.m. So my tip: be prepared for something special and don't come too late in the evening!

Bought some small snack foods/dishes to go with our dinner. Literally like some fried beignets and fried plantains. After we order those we order our main dinner. By the time the food came out from this place our main food was served for 20 minutes. In total the order took 41 minutes to serve. As well as the fact the dough tasted sour and had an alcoholic taste. Idk how that happens on a sweet tasting dish but it did. Unless you want to wait 40+ minutes for your food and risk having bad quality food, did not have any mains so idk if their mains are bad for sure, I would go here.

I am here every week when I’m in town since 1 year straight. The best African food period! I love everything in the menu but the peanut soup is my favorite . The people are lovely & you definitely get what you pay for. I’ve come here with my family, friends, dates and even during my tribulations. This is my therapist!!!

The food tastes as it should. As a West African I can confirm this!! My new favorite restaurant. The jollof, fried rice and banku have it all. I can't complain about the friendliness and service either.

Overall, not too bad, but could be better. The peanut soup was very good however the all the beef pieces were very hard and simply not edible. I had to throw them out. The chicken was also raw. Service was okay, but quite a long wait time (45 minutes).

My first experiences 6 months ago were very good, unfortunately the last ones were very bad. We waited an extremely long time until we could order, even though there was only one person in front of us (the woman at the checkout simply ignored us). Everything came from the microwave, so the jollof had no taste at all. The waakye was so overcooked it was like match. The side salad had canned beans and peas on it, but why? Many dishes were also sold out, even though it was only 6 p.m. If the service and quality of the food improves, I'll come back.

We had the jolof rice. The taste wasn’t amazing, and it felt dry and reheated. The chicken that came with it was still really pink inside. The service was fine. But you’d expect something better especially for the price.

My only bad experience with African food

I am sorry, but the food is overrated 😢 I had Jollof Chicken. 3/5 is the only possible score for the taste. Maybe I am just not experienced enough with this Kitchen, but the chicken was burnt. The rice was ok. The service and the atmosphere was good.

Very nice employees who also ask questions to make sure everything has been understood correctly. Fufu with Peanut Soup was very tasty and challenged my very low spiciness tolerance. Fortunately, the Puff Puff were able to compensate for this with their pleasant sweetness.

Felt ignored and unwelcome by the woman at the checkout as she seemed busy talking to a friend. I felt like she was deliberately ignoring me because I was definitely in her field of vision. Plus, there wasn't much going on and I only ordered one dish, but I was still forgotten. They only started preparing my dish when I asked how long it would take after I had already waited half an hour. Unfortunately, I didn't get my food until my friends had already finished eating because they had gotten their food from another food stall. I don't think I would order from them again since I had such a bad experience with the service. Nonetheless, the food was delicious. I had the okra stew with beef and the meat was very tender. Very unfortunate.

Sensational! If you want authentic Kenkey with fish, Jollof or Waakye this is the place to be. The food was amazing and the Sobolo drink 10/10. It’s definitely on the spicier side so be prepared a little but every penny worth it.
