We dined at Adana Et today and were absolutely delighted! From the moment we walked in, we received a warm and attentive welcome, making us feel instantly at ease. The atmosphere is pleasant, welcoming, and inviting. The food was simply outstanding – freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and served with great care. The meat dishes, in particular, were of the highest quality and cooked to perfection – you can tell that true professionals are at work here. The side dishes and salads were also fresh and delicious. A very special thank you goes to Ali Abi, whose warmhearted nature and hospitality made our visit a truly memorable experience. It's immediately apparent that passion, quality, and genuine service are paramount here. We will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend Adana Et – an absolute must for anyone who appreciates good food and authentic hospitality!

In the alleys of Cologne, where the restless and often murky stream of life tugs at the facades of the buildings, there are places where the soul can anchor for a moment. You don't seek them; you find them when the time is right and your inner compass calls for a quiet truth. So my friend and I found ourselves at Adana et, a house that promised little from the outside, but inside exuded the warm, honest scent of charcoal and grilled meat—a smell that evoked distant, perhaps never-experienced homes. We ordered the doner kebab plate, a dish with a simple name, but one that revealed an entire world on its white porcelain. It wasn't a meal for hasty, superficial enjoyment. No, it invited contemplation, an immersion in the essence of things. There lay the meat, sliced into fine layers, on a bed of rice, as bright and innocent as many childhood memories. Every piece bore the traces of fire, that wild, purifying force. It was tender, with a juiciness that seemed unrelated to this noisy, mechanical world. With every bite, one tasted the honest work, the dedication of man to his craft, an almost forgotten melody in the din of time. It was a taste that nourished the soul, that united the ancient duality of animal and spirit, of raw nature and ennobling culture, in a single, fleeting moment of harmony. Next to it was the salad, in the colors of a summer garden, cool and fresh, a counterbalance to the warmth of the meat. And the sauce, a gentle, white wave, tinged with the faint hint of garlic, that connected everything without dominating it. It was like watching the flow of a river, meandering its way, sometimes calm, sometimes powerful, yet always in harmony with itself. The noisy, bustling city pulsed around us, but for the duration of this meal, we sat on an island of silence. We barely spoke, for what would there have been to say? The true dialogue took place within, a silent communion with the simple, profound truth of this perfect moment. You might call it just a kebab plate. But for me, it was a lesson in mindfulness, a fleeting glimpse of that unity we so often search for in vain in our fragmented existence. Those with ears to hear and a palate to taste will find in Adana et more than just a dish. He finds a piece of a world in which things still have meaning and sound.

We went for dinner with my family. The food was delicious, but the service was terrible. We ordered the Adana wrap, which was ground in a steel-cut kebab, and the meat was as delicious as kebabs in Turkey. The portion was huge. I was only slightly disappointed with the flatbread in the wrap; it was rubbery and had nothing to do with the flatbreads in Turkey. We ordered hazelnut lahmacun for the kids. It cost €5, but as you can see in the photos, the portion was incredibly small. It wasn't worth the money. The plain ayran (yogurt drink) was delicious, and we drank it wholeheartedly. As for the service, the waiter who served us was very rude, completely clueless about how to treat customers. I witnessed him being rude to other customers as well. I won't go into details. We also waited a very long time to order and for it to arrive. After sitting down, our order was taken within 15 minutes, barely requiring us to remind him. Two wraps arrived in 30 minutes. I can say we only had our first bite 45 minutes after sitting at the table. There are also no refreshments, such as mashed salad, etc. If you're very hungry, I recommend going there with the expectation of a long wait. I understand that service delays like this can occur in Germany due to a shortage of staff, but if you're short on space, you can leave part of your restaurant open and your customers happy with your establishment. Those who are willing to wait in line at the door will be welcome, and those with children and very hungry will likely choose other establishments. In conclusion, when you consider the waiter's rude behavior and the long wait while hungry on one side, and the taste and quality of the food on the other, I'd say I'd rather not come back. Enjoy your experience to everyone who wants to try it.

I ordered a doner kebab with cocktail sauce and tzatziki. Unfortunately, the sauce was very unevenly distributed. There was only the sauce on top, and nothing at all from 1/4 of the way through the doner. The "cocktail sauce" tasted strongly of curry and overpowered the actual doner flavor; there was no tzatziki at all. On the plus side, the roasted meat was really good. What completely disgusted and revolted me, however, was that the employee behind the counter, who was in charge of the doner, was constantly picking at his fingernails during my entire stay, while salads and other ingredients were left openly displayed. This seemed extremely unhygienic and took away my appetite, so I didn't finish the meal.

Was there on September 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM. I asked for two seats on the terrace, whether there were any available. The gray-haired waiter said I'd have to wait a few minutes. This wasn't a problem for me and my colleague. Other people arrived after us, and he gave our seat to other guests who, of course, didn't have a reservation. Later, when I finally got a table, which I had arranged myself, I only ordered an Adana plate that wasn't cooked through. When I pointed this out to the same waiter again, he took my plate and cooked it thoroughly, slamming it down on the table as if he were throwing it to a dog.

The waiter kindly beckoned me in, I ordered a doner kebab, and then NOTHING happened. Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. The dürüm didn't live up to our expectations: The dough was very pale, not crispy, and didn't seem to be cooked properly. While browsing the reviews, an image caught my eye: A Turkish ambulance with Istanbul license plates, parked right in front of Adana Et on Weidengasse in Cologne. The reputation of this kebab seems to extend beyond national borders. So I tried it and wasn't disappointed: The first slice from the skewer was juicy, tender, and savory. A generous portion of meat, crispy bread, and fresh vegetables. Accompanied by uludağ and strong Turkish tea. Conclusion: If you're looking for a kebab that's a hit even in Istanbul, this is it. I ordered home delivery but the food was still hot and delicious. It was packaged nicely so nothing inside the bread was falling apart. The meat was delicious.

Everything in the mixed grill was burnt except the Adana. The meatballs were burnt to a pitch black that they were inedible. Unfortunately, the service was slow and indifferent because the number of staff was very few. I would not choose it again.

The food we ate was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The service is not good at all, excuse me but they act according to your money. Some people ask "did you like it" every minute, some even bring a menu when you enter (you take it from the table next to you). Don't expect anything special.

We were in Cologne, and that meant we had to go to Adana Et. Despite it being a Saturday evening, we were quickly seated at a table for three. We received a very warm welcome, and our drinks arrived very quickly. And then the food was just like you'd expect from a vacation. The Adana grilled meat was delicious, and our daughter also really enjoyed her Dürum. We'd love to come back!

Great food! We're from a bit further away, and everything was fantastic. We can't normally eat Adana or minced meat outside because it always contains cartilage. Your Adana was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Great place for an authentic Turkish dine in experience. It was the most delicious Turkish food I had, took me back home to Turkey.

It was a spontaneous decision to grab a bite to eat there shortly before an event. I hadn't been to the restaurant before. So I was all the more delighted by the excellent service and the delicious food. I could have tried everything on the menu. That certainly won't be my last time there.
