Sunday evening. Very friendly staff. The appetizer platter, along with the homemade bread, olives, and excellent olive oil (excellent), a fresh, crisp Greek farmer's salad (delicious), and the chef's recommendation (grilled halibut with lemon risotto) were all very good. A relaxing moment in a pleasant atmosphere and a fitting ambiance... fine food, honest cooking, nothing run-of-the-mill. We'll be back!

This authentic Greek tavern has been our go-to spot at least once a day on our holiday and it is amazing. Delicious and affordable, lovely atmosphere, and the waiter is the most amazing guy!

I came to Achilles a few days ago based on a recommendation. My girlfriend and I were very pleasantly surprised by the exceptionally well-kept ambiance: crisp table linens and beautiful cutlery. Not "typically Greek"! We had already decided on baby calamari and were happy with our choice: the calamari was excellent, and the rosemary potatoes with grilled vegetables were also delicious. At the next table, salmon tartar with avocado was served – we regretted not having ordered an appetizer as well. The wine selection also suited our tastes, so we will definitely be back. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but it's easy to reach by car or bike.

Die Vorspeise Gigantes war echt lecker. Dann kam der Spargel, nach dem Kochen angebraten. Verstehe ich nicht. Die Kartoffeln kalt und Convieniece. Die Schnitzel waren geschmacklich ok, aber ich denke die kamen auch aus der Fritteuse. Insgesamt eher enttäuschend. Mein Mann hatte Fisch, war ok aber auch kein Grund noch mal dort zu essen.

Inzwischen sind schon wieder einige Wochen vergangen seit ich das erste Mal im „Achilles - Restaurant & Bar“ - oder „bei Archie“ wie man unter Kennern wissend sagt - in Offenbach-Bieber zum Abendessen war. Ich war begeistert vom sehr angenehmen, modern-stilvollen Ambiente der Location sowie vom Charme des gastfreundlichen Inhabers „Archie“ und seinem ebenfalls professionellen und hochsympathischen Team. Doch was nützt das schönste Restaurant, wenn das Essen nicht schmeckt? Gut, man könnte mit gehaltvollen Getränken den Geschmack des Essens übertünchen bzw. ihn sich mit Hilfe von Alkohol lecker „saufen“ - oder sich schlicht zum Plaudern (mit oder ohne vorherigen oder nach folgenden Sportprogramms) einfinden. Hier nichts zu essen, wäre aber definitiv ein Fehler. Nun ja, wie eingangs erwähnt, ist es inzwischen einige Zeit her, dass ich in den Genuss eines wunderbar geselligen Abends mit angenehmen Weinen und definitiv großartigem Essen kam. „Ich schreibe eine Bewertung!“, versprach ich hoch und heilig - und vermutlich nicht ganz nüchtern. Sprach‘s und, nein, nicht „sprach‘s und vergaß es“. Es war eher ein wiederholtes Vertagen, weil es doch was Positives, Aussagekräftiges werden sollte. Nun wird meine Bewertung, nach gefühlt ewigen Zeiten, anders als geplant, zügig heruntergeschrieben, aber nicht minder aufrichtig und voller Wertschätzung. Here we are: - Sollten Sie Fisch lieben, unbedingt das Zanderfilet mit Zitronenrisotto bestellen, wenn es saisonal angeboten wird. Vorweg vielleicht die gegrillten Baby-Calamari. Es lohnt sich! Geschmack, Präsentation und Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sind großartig. - Sofern man nicht gerade selbst Weinkenner oder gar Sommelier ist, gerne den Weinempfehlungen folgen. - Sollte die Chefin des Hauses ihren Nusskuchen gebacken haben, bloß nicht entgehen lassen. Nachtisch geht immer (auch der leckere, frische griechische (natürlich) Joghurt! Aber Platz für besagten Nusskuchen sollte sich unbedingt im Bauch noch finden. - Die Wände sind übrigens teils weiß, teils blau. Mit wenigen Schwarz-Weiß-Bildern an den Wänden und dezenter Deko. Stilvoll, zu Griechenland passend, aber keinesfalls überladen oder 08/15. Die Tischwäsche ist blütenweiß und das Geschirr sowie Besteck modern & hochwertig, die Blümchen in den Vasen sind echt und frisch (was heutzutage bekanntlich nicht mehr allerorts der Fall ist) - schon allein diese Aspekte tragen zur Wohlfühlatmosphäre bei! (Man merkt, auch die Inhaberfamilie mag ihre Arbeitsumgebung eher schön als lediglich zweckmäßig.) Einen Eindruck vermittelt die Website. Fazit: Ich komme sehr gern wieder! Ob dies „eine Drohung oder ein Versprechen“ ist, lieber Archie, überlasse ich Deiner Beurteilung. Und all jenen, die meiner Bewertung nicht trauen mögen, sei gesagt, dass diese Location seinerzeit nicht grundlos im Journal „Frankfurt geht aus“ hervorgehoben wurde, und seither Menschen gern und bewusst den Weg aus Frankfurt und Umgebung zu Archie finden. We were there for Valentine's Day and the food was really delicious, but the portions were very small and if we hadn't eaten something beforehand we wouldn't have been full. The ambience and service were very good 👍

The service and the location are great. The food is very good and tasty, but if it says vegetables and potatoes as side dishes it would have to be more. The taste is perfect, but not enough and not everyone likes roasted onions.

Was here with my family at Christmas. Food was excellent. There was also a good selection of starters, main courses and desserts. The staff was very friendly and quick. Furthermore, the price-performance ratio was well affordable. I will visit again when I am nearby.

Prices are at the upper end but in keeping with the quality and quantity, everything is very satisfactory so far. Let's see how it goes on the next visit. So far fully recommended.

Das Essen ist wirklich lecker. Wir hatten zwei Mixed-Grill Platten. Das Fleisch war ausnahmslos saftig, nichts tot gebraten. Der Service war super, sehr nettes Personal. Das Ambiente ist noch ein wenig verbesserungs- würdig aber besser als der Durchschnitt. Die Ausstattung ist super, dicke Stoffservierten, gutes und sauberes Besteck und Teller.

Man sollte sich nicht vom Äußeren des Restaurants , gelegen neben einem Sportplatz, abschrecken lassen: Der Innenraum ist ansprechend eingerichtet, die Tische werden schön eingedeckt. Der Service war freundlich , die Beratung gut, die Auswahl der Speisen groß. Wir waren zu sechst und hatten verschiedene Vor- und Hauptspeisen, die alle sehr gut schmeckten und außerdem appetitlich angerichtet waren. Hier isst auf jeden Fall das Auge mit. Auch die Weinempfehlung passte. Alles war so gut, dass wir uns auch noch ein äußerst leckeres Dessert gönnten - ein rundum gelungener Abend! Wir kommen gern wieder!
