A Tavola in Düsseldorf

Last night I went to dinner with my family. We ordered our food and I asked for a bottle of wine. First, the wine came to our table already opened. I guess we all know that wine should be opened at the table. The waiter first tried to convince me, then brought a new bottle and opened our wine on the table. Then our food arrived. I chose linguini with lobster and crab. When my food arrived there was a pasta with 4 shrimps on top. I called the waiter and this time he told me that the menu had been translated incorrectly. The result was a fast food style Italian restaurant!

It's okay, but we won't be coming back again The restaurant is nicely decorated, but it was quite loud and hectic in the small and cramped restaurant. The Bruscetta is recommended. It is only topped with tomatoes and not topped with onions as is often the case in other restaurants. Our main courses were okay, but nothing more. We didn't know red cabbage as Italian until now. The service is generally friendly. Unfortunately, they weren't completely attentive or didn't hear us properly at the volume. On the one hand, we got the fillet medium instead of medium rare and I received the wrong pasta dish. However, the waiter offered to swap this for the real pasta dish. Finally, when we were asked how we found the food, we replied that it was okay, to which no question was asked (or no one listened). Finally we were given cantuccini and another pastry - that was a friendly gesture and also very tasty. The higher prices are okay for the location in the middle of Düsseldorf's old town, but we would still have liked a little more quality.

We were here with a slightly larger group and had a great evening! The service was great and the atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent. It really feels like you're on vacation in Italy and not in the middle of Düsseldorf. I really can't complain, although it might be a bit loud for some people, but that's part of it and should be tolerated. I had the Taglierini della Casa with black truffle. The portion of the dish was quite decent, but it didn't blow me away. That led me to deduct a star. But that's complaining at a high level! Nevertheless, I had a great evening with my colleagues, and that's why I can Definitely recommend A Tavola again and again if you want to experience a piece of vacation in Italy.

It WAS our pizzeria. We were happy to be there as guests from abroad for several years. - This time, 4 days in advance by phone, as always, reservations were made for 4 people, this evening, for example, the expensive suggestion of spaghetti with truffles was stuck together, other dishes were not as usual, the wine was good, so or well, it can happen …… - However, we reserved again with the same name for the next evening, table for 4 people from 6.30 p.m. - And lo and behold, our table was occupied, appraising, smiling, the statement from the responsible service manager, actually we shouldn't reserve any more tables. Great 😡, we were there for the last time 🤷‍♀️, you really can't treat guests like that 😠😠.

Just bad! Service listless and very bad mood. Food carelessly prepared and far from worth the money! Waited forever until you got the menu (a printed sheet of paper with grease stains), only 1 glass of wine out of 2 ordered was served, 2 dishes came after about 30 minutes, but there were four of us and the other two dishes only came in 25 minutes later. No excuse, that's just how it was. At the end we asked for the bill 4 times and had to wait almost an hour so we could finally pay. NEVER AGAIN A TAVOLA!!!!

We were there twice! The first and last time! We had reserved a table (it was fine the day before) but the table was occupied. When we asked why the table wasn't free, the waiter grinned arrogantly and said they'd better not reserve any more tables, whatever that might mean. An apology would have been appropriate. You'll never see us again.

La comida es muy buena, 4. 5 . Filete en una reducción de chianti, y un quattro Formaggi rigatoni. La botella de vino de Valpolicella era muy buena, (con un precio de unos 2 . 5 x venta al por menor que parece estándar en Altstadt). En el interior es muy ruidoso (ambas visitas) y es muy cálido. No se han sentado fuera, ya que no queríamos esperar a una mesa (No hay oferta para comprar una bebida mientras esperamos. Atmósfera 2 . 5 Ambas visitas, parece que tenían poco personal y podrían usar uno o dos servidores/corredores más. Tardaron una eternidad en conseguir una bebida, y la botella de vino no llegó hasta mucho después de que entre se entregó. actitudes parecían un poco fuera - poner, anfitriona y servidor. Servicio 2 . 5 Volverá a visitar y sentarse fuera, y ver si el cambio en la ubicación lo redime.

Local is ok, food ok, service ok. Table for 4 people, reserved for the next day. Got there the next day, was greeted by the boss himself, but there was no table left. Grinning, he said he'd better stop making reservations. We wish him continued success with his arogance. Apparently he can afford to treat customers like that.

The food at A Tavola was fantastic. The saltimbocca and the pasta with king prawns are highly recommended! Everything fresh and seasoned with that special Italian twist. Ambience and service were also good. It's great that there were 4 delicious cookies at the end. :)

The food was acceptable although it did not meet my expectations. But I have never seen such a dirty restaurant in my life. All the plates were covered in greasy fingerprints, and there was a greasy mark on the edge of the plates as if the sauce had been wiped off with it. 🤢 After all this, my friend convinced me that the employees are under stress and something like this can happen accidentally. I wanted to be generous and, since I worked in the catering industry myself for some time, I tipped 20%. However, the waiter was ice cold, just threw the receipts on my friend's table and walked away without saying thank you or saying goodbye! In any case: never again! This city has enough good and clean Italian restaurants.

I've been going there for many years. Of course, it is very popular at lunchtime, especially for business lunches, and is therefore definitely a great place to eat. But I think €18.90 per month for a plate of pasta that used to cost €13.50 is really quite over and no longer appropriate. I've had food twice now that wasn't seasoned well at all. Then there are waiters who only speak English (not that I can't manage that!) but knowing a little language certainly doesn't hurt...

Ravioli to recommend, the penne with mozzarella was a 10/10 every 4 bites, otherwise very bland, for dessert we had tiramisu and almond pastries with the 'dessert wine'. The dessert wine was more of a liqueur, and not a good one. Well for the price you can't complain 8.90 for 0.1 with the almond pastry. Tiramisu was a highlight. We will definitely come back at some point.

We spontaneously looked for a restaurant and found “A Tavola”. When asked if there was a table available for 6, the restaurant was immediately moved around to make room. The staff is incredibly courteous and very attentive. You can see immediately whether a guest needs something or whether the glass is empty ;). The food is excellent. You feel like you're on a short vacation in a restaurant in the middle of Italy. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

Italian restaurant with a very good selection of pastas and funds. They welcome you with bread rolls to taste the olive oil with salt and pepper. I ordered the taglierini della casa with black truffle and they were delicious but, based on personal taste, I would have changed the pasta for a thicker and more bodied one. My husband ordered the Penne Bolognesa and the sauce was very rich and tasty, the pasta cooked to its perfect point. Delicious wine and super friendly service. Reservations are recommended.

We are here so often. And we always order boiled beef with herbs. This is the only place where we eat boiled beef. The way is grandiose and unique. Thank you that you exist.

We ordered spaghetti estate (€18.90) and lamb chops (€35.90). Spaghetti was al dente, nothing special, but solid. Lamb chop was completely unseasoned and consisted of more bones than meat. Side dishes were delicious. The white wine "Lugana" was good. Service needs improvement. We were forgotten, then our order was mixed up and they forgot to give us the menu. At the end we wanted the bill. Here too we were forgotten again and we were given sweet pastries instead. 10 minutes or more later we were able to pay. The waiter didn't sound too friendly, but maybe he was a little worn out at the end of the day. In any case, we were disappointed with the service, but it may well have been because we were there very late and the kitchen closed in 10 minutes.

The food and wine are quite expensive for a lunch but ok. A wait of almost 45 minutes for the food to arrive is absolutely too long at lunchtime. The service is also not particularly interested or attentive. With one praiseworthy exception: a very friendly black man took care of things and thus improved the rating a little.

Als langjährige Gäste waren wir nach längerer Zeit wieder dort und hatten uns auf gutes Essen gefreut. Bei den Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten fehlten schlicht die die "Meeresfrüchte und die Anzahl der Muscheln war auch sehr übersichtlich. Leere Muschelschalen gab es dagegen reichlich. Was aber besonders unangenehm war, waren die Splitter von Muschelschalen die immer wieder aussortiert werden mussten. Nicht nur unangenehm sondern auch gefährlich. Laut Kellner ist es "normal". Bei den Tagliatelle mit grünem Spargel und Tomaten störte die salzige "Tütensoße" Für uns war es der letzte Besuch in A Tavola.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 19:30 Uhr. Das Lokal war knallvoll außen und innen. Bedienung und Kunden drängen sich aneinander vorbei. Extreme Lärmkulisse.. Der Service wirkte von Anfang an, gestresst, unfreundlich, unorganisiert, laut am diskutieren untereinander. Die Vorspeise (Fisch-Carpaccio) kam nach 20 Minuten und war lecker. Als 1 Stunde später der Hauptgang noch nicht da war, haben wir nachgefragt, Unser Essen war komplett vergessen worden und wurde dann erstmal neu aufgenommen. Es kam dann um 21:15 Uhr. Spaghetti al Scoglio mit Muscheln und Mini-Oktopus, Letztere waren allerdings nicht zu finden. Der Weg zur Toilette war ziemlich verschmutzt. Das Ambiente ist rustikal, die Lage in einer engen Altstadtgasse sehr nett. Die einfachen Holzstühle wackeln teilweise Das Essen war okay, aber nicht herausgehoben, Die Preise sind eher gehobenes Niveau dafür erwartet man mehr Qualität und besseren Service.

We were at “A Tavola” on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately, the waitress was very pushy with sayings like: “Go for something better, it’s the weekend.” The dishes were advertised as the “best fish/meat” in the world, unfortunately the dishes were just ok. The truffle pasta for €32.90 was bland and boring. The response to our feedback was apathetic and disinterested. A pity! 250€ for 4 people for a mediocre evening at best.

The food tasted very good. Here you are not at all in a corner pizzeria. The service is functional but polite and the waiting time is a bit long. The furnishings are also rather rudimentary, but you definitely feel the down-to-earth Italian charm. The two cards are a bit confusing overall, but the result on the plate is convincing. In terms of price, the price is very ambitious in some respects. Especially when it comes to the average wine, which is not more precisely defined. In the end, it's worth a visit if you want to spend a euro or two more.

Ich war gestern seit ewigen Zeiten mal wieder bei A Tavola mit einem Freund essen gewesen! Die Bedienung super nett und zuvorkommend, Brot mit Olivenöl zum Einstieg auf Kosten des Hauses, dazu einen hervorragenden offenen Rotwein aus Sizilien, der war wirklich top! Unsere Hauptspeise, wie man auf dem Bild sieht, war auch wirklich sehr gut, meine Spaghetti hätten ein wenig mehr al dente sein können aber trotzdem sehr gut. Zum Nachtisch bekamen wir noch super leckeres Gebäck gereicht, sehr sehr lecker. Wir waren vollkommen zufrieden und können das Restaurant nur empfehlen.

On the recommendation of friends, we visited A Tavola on a cold January evening. Fine food, very friendly service and several glasses of Vino Bianco made the evening a real experience. The restaurant was packed, but the Italian restaurant next door was less so. I wonder why. We were so happy that we went back the following evening - even if unplanned. Highly recommended.

Sehr klassischer Italiener im Herzen der Altstadt. Geschmacklich und von der Auswahl der Gerichte absolut überzeugend. Sehr frisch zubereitet schmeckt man den Italiener voll heraus. Durch das überzeugende Essen, oft sehr viel los. Es bietet sich an zu reservieren, waren schon mehrfach dort und es war immer voll. Also wer Lust auf Italien in der Düsseldorfer Altstadt hat, ist hier genau richtig.

Sicherlich einer der besten Italiener in Düsseldorf. Hochwertiges, sehr leckeres Essen, authentisches, Ambiente, sehr nette Gastgeber. Wie in Italien zu Hause, sehr gerne wieder.

Das Essen war super, leider machte es den Eindruck, dass zu viele Reservierungen angenommen wurden. Trotz unserer Reservierung kamen wir zunächst nicht weiter als bis zu Eingangstür, wo wir 10 Minuten warten mussten, um überhaupt weiter zu kommen. Es war entsprechend voll und sehr laut, sodass man kaum das eigene Wort verstanden hat. Dass der Kellner fast flüsterte, erschwerte die ganze Angelegenheit. Leere Backpulvertütchen auf dem Boden machten auch keinen so guten Eindruck. Nichtsdestotrotz hat mir mein Gericht sehr gut geschmeckt und ich verbuche es mal unter einem Abend, an dem es ausnahmsweise etwas turbulent zuging. Normalerweise hat hier alles seine Ordnung.

Wir haben das Restaurant zufällig ausgewählt, da es recht gut besucht und traditionell erschien. Leider wurden wir in allen Punkten eines Besseren belehrt. Das Essen war noch das Beste an unserem Erlebnis, wenngleich nicht besonders herausragend. Der Service und das ist nun einmal das A und O war unterirdisch schlecht, geradezu beschämend. Die Kellner:innen haben sich lautstark über zu viel Arbeit beschwert und ließen das immer wieder den Gästen gegenüber lautstark verlauten. Wir fühlten uns alles andere als willkommen und waren froh als wir gehen konnten. Dieses Restaurant ist keine Empfehlung wert.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Essen etwas viel Öl.

Das Essen ist recht halbherzig zubereitet und der Service dauert ebenfalls deutlich zu lange. Nachdem wir eine falsche Bestellung erhalten haben, mussten wir erneut 25 Minuten für ein Pasta Gericht warten… eine Entschuldigung kam nicht. Die Gerichte werden nicht traditionell zubereitet, sondern eher wie es dem zu passen scheint (vor allem keine hochwertigen Zutaten). Leider für die hohen Preise sehr unzufrieden.

Zu voll, zu laut und vor allem unangenehm gespielt „freundlicher“ Service von der Dame. Der Wein landetet mehr neben dem Glas, als in Glas, genau so beim Servieren der Speisen wurde erfolgreich gekleckert. Und es wurde auch kein Tuch oder ähnliches gereichte Können wir eigentlich super entspannt drüber hin weg sehen aber wir haben uns hier einfach komplett unwohl gefühlt. Essen war ok- aber für die Preise halt auch wirklich nur ok. Gibt weit aus bessere Italiener wo die Preis/Leistung passt. Eigentlich schriebe ich selten eine schlechte Bewertungen aber hier passte nicht wirklich viel. Krönender Abschluss: bei der Rechnung wurde Unangenehm und zum fremd schämen um Trinkgeld gebellt. So etwas haben wir noch nirgends erlebt.

Sehr gutes Essen, freundlicher Service, nur etwas laut. Dafür aber in urigem Charme. Mit etwas Glück kann man draußen sitzen. Die Küche ist offen, was mir persönlich sehr gut gefällt 😁 Edit: Nach dem Essen sind uns zwei Sachen aufgefallen, die gar nicht gehen - eine etwas ältere Kellnerin trank ein Weinglas von einem Gast leer, als sie es abräumte. Zusätzlich aß sie von einem Teller, als die Gäste weg waren und sie diesen abräumen wollte. Das sollte definitiv vor Gästen geschehen. Auch wurde sich auf uns gelehnt (wir saßen vor dem Weinregal), als eine neue Flasche rausgeholt wurde. Auch das geht mMn nicht.

Sehr enges Restaurant. Die Kellnerin hat schon Wasser eingeschenkt als wir quasie noch nicht mal saßen. Das Wasser musste aber bezahlt werden. Sie war auch etwas forsch was die Essensbestellung an ging. Es gibt das und das, die Karte brauchen sie gar nicht...sie bot natürlich die teuren Gerichte an. Das Essen war gut.

Wir waren eigentlich immer sehr zufrieden, da es autentische italienische Küche gab. Seit gut einem Jahr hat die Qualität aber derart nachgelassen, dass wir hier nicht mehr hinkommen.
