Compared to other places, it has a great atmosphere, a panoramic view of the city, the bartenders and other staff work great, are friendly and attentive. There are enough types of cocktails, nice music and it is non-smoking👍

We had to wait 10 minutes in front of the bar, and when we were let in, the entire bar was half empty. The staff felt like they were above the rest of us, and the music was really bad!

Please read this very important!!! I called the bar on Saturday to make a reservation. The lady told us to just drop by because there were still plenty of seats available. When we got there, two security guards greeted us very rudely and told us we had to pay €50 because there were five of us. When we asked why we had to pay €50, he replied, "If we don't have any money, we shouldn't come at all," and indirectly treated us very badly and insulted us. When we agreed to pay, we wanted to go in, and out of nowhere, they said they didn't have any more seats available, even though, as I said, we had already spoken to a lady on the phone. They didn't try to find a solution. On the contrary, the security guard started insulting us and belittling us. We would never enter this bar again in our entire lives, and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's no wonder you get such bad reviews when you have such bad employees.

We had to wait a bit at the front, but it was okay, and the doorman was very friendly. There was a pretty good DJ inside, but the prices are very high, and the waitresses took a long time to serve everything. You only see half of Frankfurt.

Very unfriendly staff. We wanted to have a drink around 10 p.m. on May 31, 2025. When we asked for a better seat, the waiter became aggressive and insulted us. After that, we left. Definitely not going there!!!

At first glance, the rooftop bar in Frankfurt has everything you could wish for: great views, a stylish ambiance, laid-back beats, and the feeling of being above it all for a moment – ​​literally. The decor is chic, the clientele is diverse, the drinks are solid. Basically, everything was set up for a really good evening. But then came the service... and they were obviously afraid of heights. A little too cool for the job, a little too much of a "you're lucky we're serving you" attitude. Friendliness? Only upon request. And anyone who smiles too often seems to automatically be summoned by the staff council. The absolute highlight: I order – quite unspectacularly – a water. A simple glass of water. Of course, I wanted to pay for it. The answer: "We don't have any water." No water. In a bar. In a high-rise. In Germany. For a moment, I thought I'd misheard or was in some absurd play. Maybe it was a joke? It wasn't. There really was no water. Probably too down-to-earth. Conclusion: For the ambiance – top-notch. For the Instagram photo – also good. For hospitality and common sense? There's still room for improvement. Just like the elevator to the bar. I might come again – but then I'll bring my own water.

A truly beautiful view of Frankfurt. Unfortunately, the service wasn't particularly good. We celebrated a 40th birthday there, and there were absolutely no specials for the birthday boy or girl. Fires aren't allowed up there—understandably. But there are actually numerous alternatives that can be offered.

Big disappointment - no recommendation During my stay in Frankfurt, I was particularly looking forward to visiting Bar 22 - the rooftop bar sounded promising in advance and was one of my highlights that I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately, this anticipation was quickly disappointed. Even the reception by the bouncer was anything but pleasant: unfriendly, aloof and almost angry in his manner. The employee who brought us to the table was neither friendly nor helpful - no smile, no greeting, no hospitality whatsoever. We were simply seated somewhere without the option of choosing a seat by the window, which should be a given at a rooftop bar. The ambience seemed cold, rigid and uninviting - an atmosphere in which you cannot feel comfortable. Unfortunately, there was no sign of the special flair that one would hope for in a bar in this location. The only plus point was the “Butterfly” mocktail, which really tasted excellent – ​​well composed, refreshing and beautifully served. But even a good drink can't save the disappointing overall picture. Conclusion: I had high expectations and was unfortunately completely disappointed. Not a place I would return to or recommend. I only gave it 1 star because I had to.

We ordered two cocktails to start. Unfortunately one of them tasted like sweet water with a bit of crushed mint - really disappointing. The other one tasted OK, but nothing special. Prices are quite high for cocktails of this quality. About 15 minutes after we finished our drinks, the owner came over and asked if we wanted to order anything else. We politely said that we didn't want anything more since we had already ordered two cocktails. Nevertheless, he became very rude and rudely said that this wasn't a "living room" and that you could only sit here if you kept ordering - even though we had just finished drinking and the bar area was almost empty, with only three tables occupied. His tone was unnecessarily harsh, as if there was a line outside and we were blocking spots. That was clearly not the case. Very unfriendly and unprofessional treatment on the part of the owner. The view from the bar is nice, but we wouldn't come back because of this unpleasant experience.

I can only agree with the numerous previous speakers and would like to expressly WARN you not to visit this bar. The staff is not only unfriendly but actively and consciously makes visitors feel unwelcome (especially the bouncers). The behavior, especially towards young women, is derogatory and completely unacceptable. There is no proper cocktail menu but guests are expected to think of their own cocktail (I've never experienced that before!). We have never experienced such a combination of rude staff and inadequate product offerings in the other rooftop bars in Frankfurt or in comparable bars in Paris, London, New York, etc. At the 22nd Bar in Frankfurt the question really arises as to whether the operators are even interested in guests or just see them as a necessary evil to make a profit.

The bouncer is bottomless. A group in front of us was racially abused. Another group of women was literally harassed. A shame! The drinks were way too expensive and something else is good.

The wannabe young bouncer wouldn't let us in even though there was nothing going on. Then he asked for a bribe and told us we could get in if we paid €50!! Where do we live!! The world is full of corrupt people!! Craziness!! It wasn't the first time that a bouncer attracted negative attention and used bribes to allow other customers to go ahead!!

When the next table by the window became available, the two women who had the table were placed there directly, the first two women who came to the window before us. There were just two ladies and the unkempt waiter seemed to like that. In the end we didn't care, we found everything miserable apart from the view (which those responsible can't do anything about, otherwise the view would be miserable too) and wanted to leave anyway. That just confirmed our bad impression. The drinks menu is really poor and way too expensive for the shabby place (yes, even a skybar can be shabby - service, crowd, worn out furniture, DJ). There is ONE type of beer - Veltins 0.33l from the bottle and you want 6€ for that 😂 Avoid this Punch and Judy show, there are much nicer bars in Frankfurt.

I advise against visiting this bar. My friend and I wanted to have a relaxed drink with a beautiful view. While we were standing in line, we noticed how the bouncer treated the guests. Totally cheeky and very chubby. There is no feeling of welcome here. Everyone in line was totally shocked by the way things were handled. After several groups of people had left the bar, one asked if it would be possible to get a seat. But the bouncer was very aggressive and was literally looking for a problem. We found this quite discriminatory towards the group who had previously been neither loud nor conspicuous. Otherwise I could have understood it. My friend and I therefore decided to look for another place. I don't see any reason to come back and pay money to be treated like that. Really bad. Everyone who noticed this left.

Instead of giving a clear answer, my friend was told in an inappropriate tone that he “would have to wait.” When he asked how long it would take, he was again simply replied that he “would have to wait”. The situation could have ended here, but the bouncer followed up and asked in a provocative tone: “Are you from Frankfurt? Then you should know how things work here.” This unnecessary provocation led me to speak up and ask not to exaggerate - after all, we were just asking a normal question. The atmosphere had become so unpleasant that we decided to leave anyway. But instead of just letting us go, the bouncer sent us away for good. It was particularly unfortunate because I wanted to celebrate my university graduation here and there was a group of ten other people on the way. A high bill that the restaurant lost as a result. Interestingly, other guests behind us also left the line because they also found the bouncer's behavior inappropriate. A look at the reviews shows that we are not alone in this experience. It's a shame that an actually nice restaurant loses guests because of such behavior on the part of the bouncers. Something like that doesn't work!

Very unfriendly people at reception

Unfortunately, I can only advise against visiting the 22nd Bar! Guests are discriminated against here for no reason! Even though I had never been to this bar before, I was refused entry on the grounds that I might cause trouble. What? Like I said, I've never been there and in 40 years I've never started trouble in a bar. I just wanted to have a leisurely after-work drink. Maybe the bouncer drew conclusions from his own behavior and that of his guests, I don't know. But I found it outrageous and degrading to baselessly accuse myself of such improper behavior. That's why never again 22nd Bar! There are plenty of other bars in Frankfurt where guests will be greeted in a friendly and courteous manner.

We were staying in the hotel so we decided to check out the 22nd bar/lounge. We came right when it opened. The bar is located next to the hotels front desk so we asked the front desk if we needed a reservation which they said no. So when we asked to be seated the host asked if we had a reservation, which we didn’t. We stated that the front desk said we didn’t need one and the host smirked and made a sly comment about it being a Friday night…just to seat us anyway (there were no one there). The food menu was simply bar food, which is fine but they pretty much only had chips left. No olives or anything else. The house cocktails were very minimal but you could ask the bartender to make whatever you want. The view and atmosphere was nice, which is probably why the bar gets such a high rating. The drinks were fine, average.

Me and my friends wanted to visit this place, we called before our visit to ask if it was necessary to make a reservation and the answer was no, it wouldn't be necessary, you can just show up. When we came, we couldn't sit down in normal places, even though there were free tables, and this was justified with stupid excuses. The waiter was incredibly unfriendly and arrogant, and every question about the menu received very unprofessional answers. Accordingly, due to numerous unfriendly gestures and laughs, I really wanted to leave a review about this waiter and asked for his first or last name, to which I was only laughed at and answered as: "You definitely won't get no". Disaster!! Yesterday we were there spontaneously and were simply sat down in some corner even though there were other tables available and not reserved. Their overpriced “cocktails” consist ONLY of sweetened water and start at €15!? Pure ashes can save you money...

In itself a noble bar that knows how to use its appearance. However, the employees at the counter (employee and bouncer) are very ill-mannered and cheeky. Unfortunately, the way they talk to people is not very subtle. You should come well dressed - ideally in a suit, otherwise the good-looking men in their mid-40s at the entrance will make jokes about your clothing style. However, the bar is absolutely phenomenal - but I won't be coming back. There are better Skybars in Frankfurt.

Lovely little bar, not huge but enough tables for groups of people. Great views - good for photos. LOADS of Cocktails and extensive drinks menu. Only niggle was that the menu was via scanning a QR code. No paper menus available. We were told that the bar is too dark to read traditional menus!? Would recommend to others.

Clearly a beautiful view and a good location. But we were served rudely, lied to, laughed at, not taken seriously and suspected of leaving without paying. When it comes to service, there is a lot of room for improvement among some employees. We are just as worthy, paying customers. It's not okay.

The snacks here aren't the best, but it's a bar and not a restaurant. The view from here is of course beautiful, especially at night! Didn’t even have time to take my hoodie of the waiter immediately complained. About the food the snack plate was awful looked like grocery bought items and put on the plate and it was over priced the cocktails for the taste aren’t worth it don’t recommend

Summary: I have never experienced such a rude waiter… We've been there before and even though we weren't particularly impressed by the price-performance ratio, we wanted to give the bar another chance. There wasn't much going on when we arrived and yet the waiter wasn't in sight. While we were waiting for him, we also discovered several free tables. Only then did the waiter finally arrive, who asked quite rudely what we wanted. When we asked for a table, we were promptly told there was nothing available. When asked about the free tables, the only answer was: I don't want them here, they can disappear... Other guests who were leaving also complained about the waiter, who apparently became very rude after not receiving a tip because of the poor service

Very good views at moderate prices

We were in the bar today and unfortunately I can't recommend it to anyone. We spent €63 for 4 cocktails and simply received bad cocktails and poor service. An entire cocktail was spilled on me and no proper apology was forthcoming. You could tell from the waiter's reaction that he was overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the management reacted completely wrongly here. It was suggested to me that I could have my dress washed at the hotel. We're only there for the night, so unfortunately it's of no use to me. So we were allowed to sit the whole evening between alcohol and a bad atmosphere. Nobody thought it was necessary to wipe the table or the floor. Unfortunately I can't recommend it to anyone.

We went there without a reservation and had a very relaxing evening. The service was friendly and the drinks were good. Nice view of Frankfurt. I really liked the atmosphere. I just can't recommend the cold plate because I don't think it's of high quality, but it's still expensive. In total, the two of us paid 95 € with 4 drinks and the platter + tip.

It's terrible in just about every way. Service was not great, and drinks were very poor. While a 22nd floor view was ok from 2 sides, the reflections and rails made it not the viewing spot, I thought. 2 stars broderimg 1 star.

Went there for a networking event. No Air Con. Stuffy and hot, ridiculously so. What it is like as a normal bar I am unsure but I won't be going there again for that reason alone.

This is surely my favourite rooftop bar in Frankfurt since it opened. The service is very friendly and quick. The best views are from the window in the back yet all direct views out are very lovely. It’s a great place for sunsets. The drinks menu is interesting and classic cocktails, like this margherita are well served. A place highly recommendable when in Frankfurt. Upon enterering the building you just need to turn left where the elevators are and on the displays you need to push push on the screen that you want to go to the hotel/bar. The bar is part of the Innside hotel. Enjoy!

Even one star is too many! Save yourself the trip to the bar, the staff are so unfriendly, especially this older gentleman from Yugoslavia who doesn't understand German well. We arrived around 11:30 p.m. and just wanted to toast my birthday. He didn't let us in because my husband was wearing flip flops - then my husband said we'd never come back and he completely freaked out.

With new concessionaire came questionable audiences. THE bar location with piano music and relaxed after-work drinks is unfortunately a thing of the past. I enjoyed going here until the pandemic because the atmosphere was special. Now just disappointing. Cocktail selection thinned down to a few classics; In general, the menu has shrunk a lot and it is difficult to order without a cell phone. Not everything that was effective during the pandemic has to be continued. Contact with the tender or operator for recommendations or advice was always one of the big plus points of the “old” 22nd. Now: Please don't speak to me more than what is absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, tactile experiences like those with the big, old Gerränke card are now no longer available. But the audience that is currently being met there (the very people who are making noise on the Zeil and who have Ey Alder at No. 1 in the standard vocabulary) can't do anything with it. The women are cheap and the boys are in imitation designer looks…… Nibbles for the cocktail have been shrunk down to peanuts, the plastic buckets in which they are delivered are carelessly stacked in the corner up to the ceiling, visibly visible like in a street kitchen, the long bench at the entrance on the right had to replace impersonal bar tables and stools that you might have used would have thought hip 40 years ago, soft ones that you can't or don't want to sit on for long. Ambiance is run down. Toilets could have used a makeover if something good needs to be changed... Note to self: stop riding a dead horse Very unfortunate.

Absolutely inappropriate reception. There were two of us there and at first we were told to be patient for a moment, then the employee came and criticized my friend's clothing. When asked what exactly was wrong with a two-piece suit and sports shoes, which every man after us had worn. The employee then became abusive and insulting. Unfortunately this was very disappointing as we were really looking forward to the view.

Discovered by chance. Great little bar on the 22nd floor. Good wine and nice people. Great view of the old opera.
