I made a reservation a week in advance and visited on a weekday morning 💭💌 ️I think you should make a reservation at least a week in advance! The staff was also very friendly with handsome men and women 😏💕 ✔️Taste: Mushroom Toast and Croque Monsieur (Croque Madame) Extra scrambled eggs and bacon added!! 🧂🧂🧂The best is mushroom toast! ! ! 🧂🧂🧂 The salad that came with it was delicious, and the mushrooms were moist and evenly grilled! Hoho ~ 🥗🌿🍃🥬 The Croque Monsieur was a little salty for my taste, but it was still delicious. ☑️ The unexpected ambush is scrambled eggs! 🧀🧀 I guess it was made with cheese, but the seasoning was just right (it tastes like a baked egg haha) and it's soft but has a great texture! If two people go, be sure to add scrambled eggs to share. The coffee was delicious without any acidity. The extra bacon and carrot cake I ordered for dessert were ordinary, so why bother? Very nice and fast service, good menu and the ambience as a former cemetery chapel is amazing. Young crowd and a bit noisy, but the café is an unusually nice place for a good hour of brunch. In the summer you can sit outside, which is very nice because of the atmosphere.

The ambience is an absolute highlight! The old funeral hall is definitely a special place for a cafe. We were there at 10 a.m. and got a seat straight away because the café opens at 10 a.m. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. We once had the sweet pancakes and the smoked salmon pancakes. For us, the portions were really big and great value for money! The selection of dishes is small but fine. The only downside is it's a bit cold, but there are also blankets.

Best cappuccino I've found in Berlin. So smooth and balanced. Not to hot, not too bitter, not too milky, just right. The mushroom toast was very good. We also tried the sweet pancake, but it was just too heavy and we are not fan of the pancake itself. The topping on this pancake was very tasty though.

Friendly service and cute vibe but the food wasn’t great, maybe I was the unlucky one? The pancakes are not really a pancake but more an egg-cake that tastes pre made, the chipotle mayo is a bit overpowering with the maple syrup. Portobello could’ve been cooked a bit longer so they were less watery and more crunchy/seasoned! Nice coffee though and the guys working there were friendly

Very friendly staff, and we were honestly quite lucky to get a free table for breakfast on a Saturday. We ordered the French toast with apple compote, and it was delicious. They also offer decaf coffee, which is great for anyone who finds regular coffee too strong. However, it was a bit chilly inside during winter, and we felt cold. That said, there were blankets available at the tables, which you could use to keep warm. For those sensitive to the cold, it’s best to dress extra warmly. Overall, a pleasant experience!

did not like the coffee, too dark!

The waiter was verbally aggressive and rude. We just told him we’re ready to order. He angrily shouted at us and told us to just wait (it was the first time we told him we’re ready to order). He gave us aggressive looks and I felt scared that he’ll become physically aggressive towards us. We’ve been there before, and the food and service were great. But considering what just happened, we’ll definitely never come back. I’m still scared and surprised about what just happened

Great spot, vibe, food and the little chapel is quite charming. Worth the price. I would come on a weekday since it gets busy on the weekends EDIT: this was pre-covid, have been here 3 times at least in the past months and the food is just not worth the price. The pancakes were lacking in the sauce and everything else... quite dissapointed EVERYTIME! REDIT: they're great again. I guess after covid they had a hard time. New menu is delicious. keep up the great work.

Cozy ambiance and yummy food! We came here on a Tuesday early afternoon and there were plenty of seats available. We had two veggie meals that were both delicious and plentiful, also a flat white and a lemonade, and paid 40€ including a tip. Highly recommended, will come back!

I've been here a few times and 21Gramm is now one of my favorite brunch places in Berlin. I like the atmosphere both indoors and outdoors, just a special location. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is super delicious and you come up with something new for every season. The pancakes are really great but the savory dishes are also really good. I often find it difficult to decide on a dish when I'm there 😄 And especially with the changing menu, it doesn't get boring either The breakfast cocktails are also very creative and damn good. People like to try out recipes here and the staff are happy to ask for personal feedback (by the way, I'm pleased that the Birnini has made it onto the menu in the long term). It's worth making a reservation as the shop is very popular - understandably. It is better to reserve a few days in advance, especially at popular times such as weekends.

Very good quality food in a nice place. The tables are very close to each other, but the architecture of the restaurant gives this place a unique atmosphere. Expansive, yes, but nice and good quality products.

The atmosphere is very good once again. The place is very beautiful. Friendly, respectful people. I tried Kokos Joghurt before, it was very good, and today I tried something with mushrooms. I'll add your name. It seemed very nice at first. The portion was once again very large. But later on, the taste was different and I couldn't finish it all. I can't recommend it very much. A cemetery café with seats in the former mourning hall and a courtyard area outside. Few but delicious little things and cakes that occasionally contain a little too much sugar. When it's busy, reservations are recommended during peak times. Unfortunately only open until 5 p.m.

A great place for brunch, lunch or just a beer. The best coffee in Berlin, friendly service. The location will also be happy to organize your celebrations such as birthdays, weddings and the like. Everything is in place. Bar, catering, great waiter service. I recommend it :)

We ate a delicious breakfast outside in the courtyard. The selection of dishes wasn't very large, but we all found something that suited us. The banana bread was delicious!

If you want to experience brutal gentrification in full swing, this hipster trap is a perfect example: 12€ for a slice of bread with three leaves of salad and a tiny spoonful of sauce, get real. Ridiculously overpriced for basic mediocre food, and very noisy.

Croque Madame tasted good (there could have been a little more cheese for the thickness of the bread). The dessert was very sweet. Prices rather high. A mixed experience—while the ambiance is charming, the food fell short of expectations. The lime cake was underbaked and disappointing, though the banana bread was enjoyable. The flat white was merely average, and the brunch menu overall lacks variety and options. A decent spot, but not quite living up to its reputation.

Waiting almost 25 minutes for a coffee and a croissant when we told 2 staff discreetly that we didn't have that much time was not a nice experience, especially when the pastries were clearly displayed at cafe bar ready to simply be placed on a plate and brought over. Also was made to wait a good few minutes when three waiters were around, some moving slowly, when asking for water glasses at bar to use the self-serve water system, too. Generally unfriendly and with lack of desire to offer a nice service to customers!

We stayed here for my son's wedding and it was just great. Catering was really top notch. Both the food and drink offerings and service. The fact that the location is on the cemetery grounds shouldn’t put anyone off…

A magnificent, soothing and atypical place to have a hearty and tasty brunch. The prices are a little high for the city but the portions are very generous and the dishes are delicious. The drinks are great too, we had an iced flat white: excellent and a breakfast cocktail: bloody mary, the best of my life (with olives on top, very well spiced). I recommend

We went there for brunch on Saturday. The atmosphere was good and the service was nice, but the food was horrible. It was one of the worst meals by far. First of all, there are almost no choices for what you can eat. Don't look at the old reviews and old photos on Instagram (none of those meals and menu items exist anymore). You can only choose a plain croissant, shakshuka (tomatoes from a can with an egg inside), bread with champignons, a croque madame, some kind of cakes, and that's it. Moreover, it is totally expensive for what you get. The drinks were diluted with half water. It's all hype and paid advertising to make you go there. There are many brunch restaurants in Berlin that are amazing, dont lose your time and money to go here.

Such an overrated place.. The environment is nice, but well nothin wow about it to make reservations 4 weeks in advance! The brunch menu has just 3 options, and all of them are very much basic with no taste. It's like they do not have a chef..The eggs in the shakshuka were also smelly..Any random brunch place in Berlin is literally better than this one.. Don't really understand all the 5-star comments here!

Overrated and high priced. The menu offers little or nothing. Two cold coffees almost €5 each. In the late morning there were neither croissants nor matcha nor banana pancakes. Furthermore, the (German) waiter continued to speak to us in English even though we spoke in German. I think he's famous just for Instagram.

So close And so good... I usually work on weekends and that's why I'm so rarely in restaurants on Sundays, but at 21 grams that was great.. I felt like I was at home from the first moments we were well served, and even then When we got off work we had this welcome feeling. Service was top, kitchen was top and wine was also top

It used to be great, but now it's kind of soulless, overpriced and super touristy. Uninteresting for Berliners, there are great and cheaper alternatives in the area - they are just less Instagrammable... Review edited and one star removed because the restaurant tried to get it deleted. Of course I can prove my visit - very unprofessional.

This small café was formerly used by the cemetery. Actually, this used to be a quiet place. A chapel or something similar. The idea of ​​turning this building into something like this was a good one. The old painting also remains. It impressed me.

The mushroom bread is delicious

Unfortunately our expectations were not met here. The savory food was okay, the cake was way too sweet. Our table was completely dirty from the previous guests. The table was only wiped after explicit request. Used napkins on the floor were still not cleared away. Unfortunately, the restaurant generally doesn't seem clean or well-maintained. We won't come back, it's a shame :(

Freshly squeezed orange juice was fantastic! Overall we were happy with our food & drinks, but only gave 4 ⭐ because the outside area is quite small, but packed with tables, so it's full of people and loud. I get the need to make money, but the vibe was ruined when people next to us started smoking. Yeah it's open air, but please don't allow smoking in such a tight outdoor space where the smoke will inevitably annoy other guests.

We celebrated our wedding with 55 guests at 21gramm. We couldn't identify with either a castle wedding or a barn wedding beforehand and were super excited when we first saw the urban location! The fact that the beautiful building is an old chapel is the cherry on top. The process with the super friendly team at 21gramm went smoothly and uncomplicated from start to finish. Coming from a tough construction period, we were initially very negative about service providers in general. But the 21gramm team taught us otherwise. We felt particularly well looked after by Isa, Head of Events. She had lots of tips, constructive comments and was always open to us. Thanks to her expertise, she always gave us a good and reassuring feeling. We still found it a great advantage to get everything from a single source at 21gramm (location, event planning, food, service…). So we didn't have to worry about the coordination ourselves! The rooms were perfect for our number of guests, so that there was a real party atmosphere in the evening (not least because of Isa's great DJ recommendation :) Food, drinks and service were also great! All in all, we were able to celebrate the perfect wedding for us at 21gramm 🥰 Thanks for that!!! Sandra & Philip

Great place, haven’t been in half a decade but glad to have dropped by. Love the cryptkeepee vibes and jumping over to a cemetery right after. On weekends there are no reservations, however we got in for a table for 4 with a 10 minute wait. Limited food options as it’s almost exclusively a brunch affair although we were pretty satisfied!

The breakfast offerings have changed so much that I only drank coffee and soda. The pancakes were always a hit. Not available any more. No salmon sandwich either. Am very disappointed! Egg in tomato sauce for breakfast and banana bread. Not my thing at all!!!

We had breakfast here shortly after it opened and were completely thrilled - and this time too. The interior is unique in a former cemetery chapel, surprisingly cozy. The menu is small but clever. All dishes are made with love, seasoned to perfection and each have their own twist. The portions aren't huge, but they're always enough. The signature dish (the pancakes) stands out a bit, they are a really big portion and so good that you would like to have a second helping. Reservations possible and strongly recommended!! In summary, a great, chilled breakfast location with nice service and sophisticated dishes. Edit May 2024: we had breakfast here again and unfortunately the 21-gram lost one star (old rating: 4 stars). Reason: The prices can no longer be justified, 2 coffees, 2 lemonades, 1 croque madame and 1 shakshuka for 50 euros, that's exorbitant. Given the price, I would have expected the usual outstanding quality as back then, but unfortunately there are significant losses here. The shakshuka was okay and down-to-earth, but not outstanding. The bread side dish is embarrassingly small. The Croque Madame tasted delicious, but was a bit dry and had very little cheese. Two slices of ham compared to the thickness of the bread slices is also very, very little! You have to have the courage to charge 14 euros for this. In summary, everything was tasty, but not outstanding. But for the prices quoted it has to be something special, unfortunately it isn't. The location itself remains something special. Nevertheless, recommendation is only limited as long as the prices remain at this top level in contrast to the food

We can't thank 21gramm enough. Our wedding celebration exceeded all expectations - both ours and those of our guests. From the location to the food to the drinks: it was an absolute dream that we will have wonderful memories of thanks to Isa and her team. Even individual design requests regarding the food and drinks were implemented without any problems. Hopefully we can enjoy celebrating at 21gramm again.

4.04.24 We reserved a table at 11am. We had to wait in line for 10 minutes because there was such a big line. Over the course of the day we were able to guess what the problem was. The staff was confused/overwhelmed. We noticed that the waitress didn't know where the food or drinks belonged. Ultimately our food was there at 12 p.m. It was very tasty and fits the great atmosphere, but I would like to see more salty vegetarian options.

Very nice atmosphere, but that's about it. Choice of food was minimal. The brunch plate chosen was of good quality, but tiny, carelessly presented and completely overpriced at 15 euros. Conclusion: for a coffee it's ok to avoid the food. Addendum 4/17/24 Instead of responding constructively to criticism and perhaps improving the offer, we had a lawyer question whether we were actually in the restaurant. Yes, we were - see our photo and the bill was paid by credit card - receipt is available. With this way of dealing with criticism, I will definitely not visit this store a second time.

A wonderful setting, but a couple of misses. Let’s start with the good things: - Set in an old chapel on the grounds of a cemetery. - Beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces. - A limited menu, which is always a good thing. The Shakshuka was particularly good and the coffee was wonderful. Now, an overview of our visit on April 14, 2024: - They opened almost ten minutes late. No apology or urgency to seat the small crowd waiting outside on a chilly morning. - We ordered a Croque Madame for our kid. The server at no point indicated that it would come slathered in mustard. - When the sandwich arrived, it felt that the cook was overly-generous with the mustard, which overwhelmed everything else in what could have been a perfectly good sandwich. - The sandwich was definitely not suitable for a child - or for most adults. In hindsight, we should have returned it to the kitchen, but I love mustard and worked through it. - While paying the bill, I simply asked the server if it was normal to have so much mustard in the Croque Madame and the answer was basically a shrug and an “I don’t know.” Here’s my feedback: - Service could be more attentive. A good server would have known that the Croque Madame had mustard and may not be suitable for a child. - A good server would have recommended an alternative, such as leaving out the mustard (which, by the way, isn’t listed on the menu). - And, finally, a good server wouldn’t been as dismissive when being asked a question as ours was. Perhaps we visited on a bad day. But for the prices being charged, service should be consistent regardless. As far as first (and likely last) impressions go, 21 gramm missed more than it hit.

Nice spot for a simple coffee outside, the building is beautiful and they have good decaf. The team is nice except the boss. Inside the music is so loud that you can’t even speak - and when you kindly ask to turn down the music a little, they decline. 🙃 Food quality isn’t the best and prices are crazy - 4,5 for a Croissant and 15 euros for a Croque Madame are Parisian prices.

Due to the good weather I decided to give it a try last week, and the experience was thoroughly disappointed. Despite the numerous empty tables, we had to wait an excessive amount of time just to be seated. Once seated, it became painfully obvious that they were severely understaffed, leading to slow service throughout our meal. The prices, frankly, are exorbitant considering the quality of food served. I had high expectations given the cost, but the dishes we ordered were underwhelming in flavor and presentation. It’s difficult to justify spending so much for such an unsatisfactory brunch experience. I do not plan on returning.

This one is a little diamond in an area that you least expect it. It is an old chapel that now runs as an amazing coffee spot! The atmosphere is so cozy. Coffee is great. The food was delicious. The lemon pie was from another world! Totally recommend this place, especially on your way back to the airport you can stop by on Hermannstr. for a quick coffee.

The place actually invites you to linger and the coffee we drank was also quite tasty - unfortunately we were very upset about the food. 15 euros for a small portion of poorly prepared shakshuka dish with only 2 slices of bread and ready-made tomato sauce, the eggs were almost raw. That was really very disappointing. no recommendation for eating here!!

Absolutely recommended and also suitable for groups of friends with a difficult eater. There are great Turkish breakfast plates but also just as many western dishes.

Beautiful ambience, great service and the food is decorative and of high quality. But: unfortunately quite expensive for very small portions. You won't get full from one portion and you should order several, which in turn becomes quite expensive. I also found the selection on the menu disappointingly small for a brunch restaurant.
