the staff member i got was really inattentive and not welcoming. the menu not labelled fully for dietary needs. ordered (gf) Gluten Free bean confit on toast and they brought glutenous version. thank god i eat out gluten-free all the time so spotted their mistake. i told the member of staff, they apologised and brought me a replacement which was non-gluten-free again!!!! that made me feel so bad and unsafe and distrustful. had to leave without eating.

Great space inside and out. After being ignored waiting for service for c10-15 min I left (I was told to sit and we will come). It wasn’t that busy and I was in a fully visible place. Nice space but not sure if I will go back …..

They greet you with a smile. The ambience is great. And most importantly, the food and coffee is amazing.

As a wedding photographer, I was privileged to photograph a wonderful summer wedding at 21gramm in June 2025, and I'm thrilled! I've had the pleasure of sampling a few menus, but what was offered here was sensationally good, and all the guests shared this opinion – it was a fantastic menu and excellent service. It's also a beautiful setting, and you can take great photos of the bride and groom both on site and in the park directly across the street. We went to 21 Grams for breakfast in Berlin and had a great experience. We ordered several dishes to try a bit of everything. The bacon pancakes were delicious, although a bit spicy for breakfast, but still tasty. The scrambled eggs were perfect: creamy, topped with Parmesan cheese, and accompanied by delicious, crunchy toast. We also tried the croque monsieur, which we loved for its creamy, melted cheese. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the egg was a bit dry, but overall, everything was delicious. The place is beautiful, surrounded by plants and with a very pleasant outdoor area. Ideal for starting the day with a good mood and good coffee.

Unfortunately, I have almost nothing but negative things to report. The waiter was unfriendly, poorly organized, and unhelpful. The food was mediocre; the scrambled eggs were rather creamy and watery. Only the cappuccino was really good. Unfortunately, it was served lukewarm. So, I can't recommend the restaurant and certainly won't be going there again.

We celebrated our wedding here in May. And what can I say: I had no idea a day could be so perfect. The food was world-class and the organization indescribable. All the guests raved about the venue and even went there for breakfast afterward. A huge thank you goes to Isa and Daria. You made this day what it ultimately was.

Perfect if you need a break from Neukölln without having to leave. Beautiful ambiance, both inside and out. Very good service (multilingual) and a wonderful cappuccino. I'll be back.

We informed the staff and asked them to check the security cameras, only to find out that the café does not have cameras monitoring either the entrance or the tables—despite a camera sign being displayed at the entrance. After all this, their advice was to report it to the police, and they brought us the bill, which we had to pay, even though the theft happened inside their café! Avoid this café! It's not safe. I came to 21 Gramm during my visit to Berlin in 2024 after googling some brunch spots and had a very disappointing experience here. When I found this place initially, the pictures online all showed some really good looking dishes, I checked their menu online and read some reviews and everything looked fine. However, I had a completely different experience than what I was anticipating. When I arrived I was seated after a short wait outside. But for whatever reason (maybe an error on my part) the menu I was given did not have most of the items I saw listed on the online menu nor saw in any of the reviews. The dish I wanted was not an option so I settled for a croissant and the thing in the second picture (I don't remember what it is cause I was so confused why I couldn't get anything I actually wanted). The croissant was a croissant. The bread and berry(?) jam were awful. It was incredibly sour and did not pair well with the bread or the cream(?) which was very tart. I had high hopes for this place going in and left very dissatisfied. If you want to go here don't let my review discourage you, maybe you'll have a better experience than I did.

We were invited to a brunch for a birthday. The food was okay, but not our thing. There wasn't enough choice overall.

This is an extraordinary spot for coffee and brunch. Not a lot of selection of dishes, yet it’s decent and were delicious. The coffee was soo good too!

We came to 21gramm through our friend...a wonderful, cozy, and special place, as it's an old chapel. ⛪️ The service is attentive, friendly, and gives guests plenty of time to browse the menu. The food and drinks were not only a visual highlight, but also amazing in terms of taste! 👩🏻‍🍳 We'd love to come back! (P.S. Feel free to ask where the café's name comes from 😉)

Great spot, vibe, food and the little chapel is quite charming. Worth the price. I would come on a weekday since it gets busy on the weekends EDIT: this was pre-covid, have been here 3 times at least in the past months and the food is just not worth the price. The pancakes were lacking in the sauce and everything else... quite dissapointed EVERYTIME! REDIT: they're great again. I guess after covid they had a hard time. New menu is delicious. keep up the great work. So another edit: they’ve gotten rid of their French toasts bc they aren’t as popular as everyone wants pancakes so sad. Everyone sucks lol anyway I hope the public asks for FT …in any case it’s a great spot

Of course, taste is subjective—but the flavor combinations didn’t quite work for me. The sweet pancakes might appeal to some, but pairing horseradish and smoked salmon or serving a croque madame on very sweet bread felt mismatched. The sweetness overwhelmed the savory elements, making the dishes feel unbalanced. On the positive side, the ambience is exceptional—stylish, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, making it a lovely spot to spend time in, even if the food wasn’t quite to my taste.

The waitress wasn't nice, she was probably high, she didn't give me the receipt. We asked for two cold chocolates and we got one. We also asked for an ashtray, which we had to go get ourselves because the lady forgot. Overall, I do not recommend due to poor service :))

21gramm is a modern café and brunch restaurant located in the heart of Neukölln. Quality food and great customer care make this place the perfect destination for an all-day brunch. It is located in a former funeral hall, restored with attention to detail, with its high domed ceiling supported by stone pillars. Equally popular is the outdoor area, where you can sit between historic clinker walls covered in wild vines.

Very tasty food and friendly staff! Americano was perfect, but I would not recommend Matcha Latte (lukewarm and dull color). Staff made sure we left satisfied though - Thank you!

Extremely disappointing experience. The service at this place was honestly unacceptable. The staff were incredibly unfriendly—hostile even—and completely inattentive. We tried to get their attention multiple times but were ignored. We ordered two simple meals: two fried eggs, two slices of sourdough (one gluten-free), and one order included salmon. What we received was a single plate with four eggs and two slices of gluten-free bread—nothing close to what we ordered. It took nearly an hour for that food to arrive, which is absurd for such basic items. If you’re aware of the food taking some time atleast warn your customers about this it’s simple courtesy. When we were finally ready to leave, we had to wait again just to get the bill. Instead of showing us what we were paying for, they handed us the card machine without any explanation. We had to specifically ask to see a breakdown of the charges, the waiter insisted that we pay first before seeing the receipt which is ridiculous and made it seem that we were in the wrong for asking for the receipt. Providing a receipt to the customer should be standard practice. Overall, the food was below average but the experience was genuinely horrible . I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based on the service alone.

Great atmosphere with the best pancakes, take a little waiting time with you at peak times.

The restaurant is absolutely recommended. We were the first guests of the day and there a little before opening, but we were warmly welcomed. The food not only looked great but tasted great too. We had pancakes with horseradish cream, blood orange dressing and herbs and Croque Monsieur and it tasted wonderful. Our waitress was super nice and gave us great advice. The restaurant looks great too. I will definitely have breakfast here more often.

Definitely recommend this place for brunch! We ordered two pancake portions, egg&bacon and raucherlach. Both were super yummy, the pancakes were so moist and a bit crunchy on the edge, which paired nicely with the sauce. The staff was very friendly, and the ambience brought a cosy and relaxed vibe. I made a reservation a week in advance and visited on a weekday morning 💭💌 ️I think you should make a reservation at least a week in advance! The staff was also very friendly with handsome men and women 😏💕 ✔️Taste: Mushroom Toast and Croque Monsieur (Croque Madame) Extra scrambled eggs and bacon added!! 🧂🧂🧂The best is mushroom toast! ! ! 🧂🧂🧂 The salad that came with it was delicious, and the mushrooms were moist and evenly grilled! Hoho ~ 🥗🌿🍃🥬 The Croque Monsieur was a little salty for my taste, but it was still delicious. ☑️ The unexpected ambush is scrambled eggs! 🧀🧀 I guess it was made with cheese, but the seasoning was just right (it tastes like a baked egg haha) and it's soft but has a great texture! If two people go, be sure to add scrambled eggs to share. The coffee was delicious without any acidity. The extra bacon and carrot cake I ordered for dessert were ordinary, so why bother? Very nice and fast service, good menu and the ambience as a former cemetery chapel is amazing. Young crowd and a bit noisy, but the café is an unusually nice place for a good hour of brunch. In the summer you can sit outside, which is very nice because of the atmosphere.

The ambience is an absolute highlight! The old funeral hall is definitely a special place for a cafe. We were there at 10 a.m. and got a seat straight away because the café opens at 10 a.m. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. We once had the sweet pancakes and the smoked salmon pancakes. For us, the portions were really big and great value for money! The selection of dishes is small but fine. The only downside is it's a bit cold, but there are also blankets.

Best cappuccino I've found in Berlin. So smooth and balanced. Not to hot, not too bitter, not too milky, just right. The mushroom toast was very good. We also tried the sweet pancake, but it was just too heavy and we are not fan of the pancake itself. The topping on this pancake was very tasty though.

The pancakes are not really a pancake but more an egg-cake that tastes pre made, the chipotle mayo is a bit overpowering with the maple syrup. Portobello could’ve been cooked a bit longer so they were less watery and more crunchy/seasoned! Nice coffee though and the guys working there were friendly

Very friendly staff, and we were honestly quite lucky to get a free table for breakfast on a Saturday. We ordered the French toast with apple compote, and it was delicious. They also offer decaf coffee, which is great for anyone who finds regular coffee too strong. However, it was a bit chilly inside during winter, and we felt cold. That said, there were blankets available at the tables, which you could use to keep warm. For those sensitive to the cold, it’s best to dress extra warmly. Overall, a pleasant experience!

did not like the coffee, too dark!

The waiter was verbally aggressive and rude. We just told him we’re ready to order. He angrily shouted at us and told us to just wait (it was the first time we told him we’re ready to order). He gave us aggressive looks and I felt scared that he’ll become physically aggressive towards us. We’ve been there before, and the food and service were great. But considering what just happened, we’ll definitely never come back. I’m still scared and surprised about what just happened

Cozy ambiance and yummy food! We came here on a Tuesday early afternoon and there were plenty of seats available. We had two veggie meals that were both delicious and plentiful, also a flat white and a lemonade, and paid 40€ including a tip. Highly recommended, will come back!

I've been here a few times and 21Gramm is now one of my favorite brunch places in Berlin. I like the atmosphere both indoors and outdoors, just a special location. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is super delicious and you come up with something new for every season. The pancakes are really great but the savory dishes are also really good. I often find it difficult to decide on a dish when I'm there 😄 And especially with the changing menu, it doesn't get boring either The breakfast cocktails are also very creative and damn good. People like to try out recipes here and the staff are happy to ask for personal feedback (by the way, I'm pleased that the Birnini has made it onto the menu in the long term). It's worth making a reservation as the shop is very popular - understandably. It is better to reserve a few days in advance, especially at popular times such as weekends.

Very good quality food in a nice place. The tables are very close to each other, but the architecture of the restaurant gives this place a unique atmosphere. Expansive, yes, but nice and good quality products.

The atmosphere is very good once again. The place is very beautiful. Friendly, respectful people. I tried Kokos Joghurt before, it was very good, and today I tried something with mushrooms. I'll add your name. It seemed very nice at first. The portion was once again very large. But later on, the taste was different and I couldn't finish it all. I can't recommend it very much. But even the venue is suitable for seating.

A cemetery café with seats in the former mourning hall and a courtyard area outside. Few but delicious little things and cakes that occasionally contain a little too much sugar. When it's busy, reservations are recommended during peak times. Unfortunately only open until 5 p.m.

We ate a delicious breakfast outside in the courtyard. The selection of dishes wasn't very large, but we all found something that suited us. The banana bread was delicious!

If you want to experience brutal gentrification in full swing, this hipster trap is a perfect example: 12€ for a slice of bread with three leaves of salad and a tiny spoonful of sauce, get real. Ridiculously overpriced for basic mediocre food, and very noisy.

A mixed experience—while the ambiance is charming, the food fell short of expectations. The lime cake was underbaked and disappointing, though the banana bread was enjoyable. The flat white was merely average, and the brunch menu overall lacks variety and options. A decent spot, but not quite living up to its reputation.

Waiting almost 25 minutes for a coffee and a croissant when we told 2 staff discreetly that we didn't have that much time was not a nice experience, especially when the pastries were clearly displayed at cafe bar ready to simply be placed on a plate and brought over. Also was made to wait a good few minutes when three waiters were around, some moving slowly, when asking for water glasses at bar to use the self-serve water system, too. Generally unfriendly and with lack of desire to offer a nice service to customers!

We stayed here for my son's wedding and it was just great. Catering was really top notch. Both the food and drink offerings and service. The fact that the location is on the cemetery grounds shouldn’t put anyone off…

If you want a light bite in a peaceful spot, it's okay. But if you're hungry or seeking value, consider elsewhere. Menu expansion and pricing adjustment would improve the experience.

A magnificent, soothing and atypical place to have a hearty and tasty brunch. The prices are a little high for the city but the portions are very generous and the dishes are delicious. The drinks are great too, we had an iced flat white: excellent and a breakfast cocktail: bloody mary, the best of my life (with olives on top, very well spiced). I recommend

We went there for brunch on Saturday. The atmosphere was good and the service was nice, but the food was horrible. It was one of the worst meals by far. First of all, there are almost no choices for what you can eat. Don't look at the old reviews and old photos on Instagram (none of those meals and menu items exist anymore). You can only choose a plain croissant, shakshuka (tomatoes from a can with an egg inside), bread with champignons, a croque madame, some kind of cakes, and that's it. Moreover, it is totally expensive for what you get. The drinks were diluted with half water. It's all hype and paid advertising to make you go there. There are many brunch restaurants in Berlin that are amazing, dont lose your time and money to go here.

Such an overrated place.. The environment is nice, but well nothin wow about it to make reservations 4 weeks in advance! The brunch menu has just 3 options, and all of them are very much basic with no taste. It's like they do not have a chef..The eggs in the shakshuka were also smelly..Any random brunch place in Berlin is literally better than this one.. Don't really understand all the 5-star comments here!

Overrated and high priced. The menu offers little or nothing. Two cold coffees almost €5 each. In the late morning there were neither croissants nor matcha nor banana pancakes. Furthermore, the (German) waiter continued to speak to us in English even though we spoke in German. I think he's famous just for Instagram.

So close And so good... I usually work on weekends and that's why I'm so rarely in restaurants on Sundays, but at 21 grams that was great.. I felt like I was at home from the first moments we were well served, and even then When we got off work we had this welcome feeling. Service was top, kitchen was top and wine was also top

I preferred vegan yogurt and gronala...the taste wasn't bad.It wasn't too crowded and the ambience was nice.

It used to be great, but now it's kind of soulless, overpriced and super touristy. Uninteresting for Berliners, there are great and cheaper alternatives in the area - they are just less Instagrammable... Review edited and one star removed because the restaurant tried to get it deleted. Of course I can prove my visit - very unprofessional.
