We went there on Saturday without a reservation. Even though everything was booked, the owner managed to squeeze in a table for two. The food, atmosphere, and service were truly excellent. Thank you so much! We'll definitely be back. Please keep up the quality and service!

We meet once a month at the 12 Apostel restaurant with a group of about 12 people. Table reservations are easy, both online and by phone. The restaurant is located in the old town center of Arnstadt, below the market square. Free parking is a 5-minute walk away. Our tables are lovingly set for our meetings; white tablecloths, cloth napkins, candles, and roses seem to be standard. Guests feel welcome and enjoy spending time here in a pleasant atmosphere. Conversations at the table are easy. The service is friendly and very attentive. A varied, delicious, and generous menu is offered, with even some of the appetizers being quite substantial. Our group, which often comes from different towns in Thuringia, feels comfortable at the 12 Apostel, and we enjoy dining and chatting there. Ciao.

Authentic Italian & delicious The pizza is highly recommended; crispy and flavorful. The pasta is authentic Italian and tasted wonderful. The fresh, crisp salad with creamy house dressing and a subtle hint of carrot was also particularly impressive. An all-around delight! The wait staff was very pleasant and friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. The sun terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy☀️

The food was super delicious and more than plentiful for me.

We were greeted by a waiter who was, by our standards, pushy. Our son's head was touched several times. We ordered pizza and steak. Unfortunately, the latter didn't satisfy our companion, as the side dishes were very limited. We've had better pizza in Arnstadt. No one asked if we enjoyed the food or if we wanted any other drinks. The bill took a relatively long time to arrive.

Very friendly staff, and the food was served quickly. Incredibly delicious and everything was fresh 😋 To finish off, I had a homemade tiramisu and an espresso. Highly recommend it (it's best to make a reservation, as it's quite busy).

I've been coming here with my family for a few years now, and the food somehow tastes better every time. I highly recommend the pizza; the crust is thin, the dough is light, and the toppings are lovingly prepared. I also loved the side salad with the carrot dressing. The service is also very attentive. In my opinion, I find the 12 Apostles a very good restaurant for ordering and picking up. Unfortunately, on my last visit I had to wait 2 hours for my food because pick-up orders apparently took priority. Otherwise the food was pretty good and the staff was good too. Therefore I can only recommend this restaurant for ordering and picking up as the prices are also quite good.

I'm a regular here and can highly recommend this Italian! The food is always fresh and incredibly tasty - whether pizza, pasta or other specialties, the quality is impressive every time. The service is also great: super friendly, attentive and personal, you just feel comfortable. No matter whether I eat on site or order - everything runs smoothly and the food tastes just as good as in the restaurant. My absolute favorite and definitely a clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates Italian cuisine and a warm atmosphere!

Went here for dinner today. Very warm and friendly welcome. There were five of us and everyone had something different to eat. All dishes were very tasty. What we really liked was that the food wasn't on the table after 5 minutes, but you had the feeling that the food was freshly prepared. The service was very attentive and the price/performance was more than perfect. All in all, the evening was great and we recommend the restaurant 100%!!

Unbeknownst to us, we were invited here and were pleasantly surprised by the staff, the food and the establishment. You should ask for a pillow for your back as the upholstered corner is not designed to last for a long period of time. Back problems are inevitable here. Otherwise great.

It was my first time there because I had heard a lot of positive things. My companions had been there several times and wanted me to try it out. I can't understand all the hype. The prices are exorbitant when compared to the quality of the food. I was really disappointed.

Good Italian food. The pizzas are very tasty. Make a reservation in good time as it fills up quickly, especially on weekends, and it is only a small restaurant.

I have to say, one of the best pizzas I've had in years. Price and performance correspond to the current standard. Friendly service, clean and, above all, fast. Gladly again.

I've known the 12 Apostles for many years, but today was the last time I was there. The waiter stood behind the counter and first picked between his teeth and as if that wasn't enough, then it was the turn of the ear. Of course no hands were washed - why should it be...afterwards our glasses were filled and served and the food was brought from the kitchen. Sorry, but I was so hungry - just disgusting. Not to mention the wrong bill (ordered a small drink but billed for €5 for a large one), the table that wasn't really clean and the artificial rose in the vase. In any case, that was nothing today!

...unfortunately that was nothing...a shame

We wanted to reserve a TABLE for our wedding day, called and were told that a TABLE for two would be available. It wasn't our first time there, but from that day on it was our last time. We got there and were seated at the COUNTER like two buddies. No space, narrow and sitting next to each other was an absolute NOGO! We left the restaurant without a word.

Got a spot spontaneously. The terrace has relatively narrow seating. Service could have been more attentive. I won't order the salad with salmon again. Another visit is also not very likely.

Very courteous service and delicious food that is also pleasing to the eye. If we're in Arnstadt again, we'll be happy to come back and enjoy it.

We think this has significantly reduced the quality of the food. The waiters are very nice but we would only come back if we paid more attention to the quality of the food, for example. would be taken into account when it comes to sauces or antipasti.

Today on Friday evening everything is occupied. Next appointment Wednesday. Unfortunately we are no longer in Arnstadt and we will definitely not come back if the tourist offer fails because of the food.

So that's an Italian as you would imagine. We reserved a table here for 8 people at 12 p.m. As a starter we had pizza bread, pepperoni in garlic (slightly spicy) & bruschetta. The main course on the order was pizza, tortellini, pasta & pizza calzone. The food was very good & my calzone was awesome. This was the best performance so far in terms of taste. A wonderful restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is typically Italian and is prepared with great attention to detail.

We chose the Ristorante for lunch on the drive from Berlin to Friedrichroda. There is a large parking lot right next door. The service was friendly and accommodating. I chose the baked tortellini from the inexpensive lunch menu and was very satisfied. The portions are large. The salami pizza was also great and my granddaughter liked the pasta with cheese sauce, which is not always the case. We recommend the 12 Apostles and would visit it again at any time!

Service katastrophal!!! Ich war soeben vor Ort um einen Gutschein zu kaufen. Mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass dies nur gegen Barzahlung möglich sei. Also fragte ich nach einem Bankautomaten in der Nähe und lief los um Geld zu holen! Als ich kurz darauf zurück kam, stand ich vor einer verschlossen Tür. Es war 14:25 Uhr und ab 14:30 Uhr ist hier geschlossen. Die Servicekräfte (2 Männer und 1 Frau) sahen mich, machten allerdings nicht auf. Ich bin total entsetzt über dieses Auftreten. Viele Familienfeiern haben wir schon hier gefeiert und eben was auch gern Gutscheine verschenkt, ab heute sieht mich hier ganz bestimmt keiner mehr!!!

Wir waren zum Familienweihnachtsessen (8 Personen )dort. Der Pizzaofen war defekt und die Nudelgerichte alles andere als schmackhaft. Es war wirklich kurz vor ungenießbar. Die Tortellini waren innen trocken und die Sauce versalzen. Die Nr. 73 hatte statt der Tomatensahnesauce eine langweilige Bratensauce. Das war wirklich nix, absoluter Reinfall und der Service war auch nicht so wie man es mal kannte. Es wurde 2 mal nicht gebracht was man bestellt hatte. Man hat es dann akzeptiert, aber das geht nicht......

Wir waren zum Weihnachtsessen dort am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag und sind leider sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen war sehr fade und ölig. Lachsfilet zu trocken, Gemüse angebrannt und nicht genießbar leider. Das Steak war wie eine Schuhsohle. Der Hunger trieb es letztlich zum Essen. Schade das ein Koch alles kaputt machen kann. Das Ambiente war ansich schön, aber in erster Linie möchte man ja auch ordentlich Essen. Preis-Leistung minus ein Stern. Schade... Nie wieder Apostel in Arnstadt...

Ho mangiato a Natale il 25. Pranzo ok anzi perfetto. Cibo ottimo. Personale cordiale. Tornerò sicuramente.

Essen war in Ordnung, aber nicht besonders herausragend. Die Bedienung war leider nicht sehr interessiert an dem Wohlbefinden der Gäste und auf Essenswünsche konnte nicht eingegangen werden. Auch kam das Essen nicht gleichzeitig, so dass wir nicht zusammen essen konnten. Wir kommen definitiv nicht noch einmal und können das Restaurant in der Besetzung nicht weiter empfehlen.

Nettes Personal, tolle Mittagskarte, muss man einfach mal Ausprobieren...wir gerne wieder!!

Aus der Mittagskarte bestellt und positiv überrascht worden. Es gab einen Vorspeisen Salat mit hausgemachten Dressing & Pizzabrötchen, eine sehr leckere große Pizza aus dünnem Teig lecker mit frischen Zutaten belegt und zum Abschluss wurde uns noch ein Espresso oder Kaffee angeboten und diese alles für 8,90€. Wie ich finde ein Mega gutes Angebot!

Zum 2.mal hier toll gegessen.Sehr freundliches Personal. Gerne wieder nach dem nächsten Stadtbesuch.

Ich habe noch nie so schlecht italienisch gegessen dafür ist es teuer aber das Personal ist sehr nett .

Hier habe ich eine der besten Carbonara bekommen, die ich je hatte. Wirklich toll.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen, die Location ist wirklich schön eingerichtet, die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Ich komme nun häufiger nah Arnstadt ins 12 Apostel. 🙂

Pizza ist hervorragend und Preise hierfür moderat. Getränkepreise sind sehr hoch, aber saufen kann ich daheim. Zum Essen gehen toll!! :-)

Bester Italiener und vor allem ein echter. Das Essen ist jedes Mal perfekt. Ein wahres Gedicht auf der Zunge und Gaumenfreude pur. La dolce Vita ist hier zu Hause. Top Service, daher jedem sehr zu empfehlen. Schmeckt wie bei Mama Italia 😍 Liebe Grüße an das gesamte Team Sebastian 🚲

Ein Wirklich Schönes Restaurant. Das Personal ist sehr Freundlich (besonders zu kleineren kindern)und versucht auf alle extra wünsche einzugehen. Die Wartezeiten für das Essen ist nicht allzu lang und Schmeckt ziemlich gut. Top Preise!

Meine Pizza triefte vor Öl und mein Panna Cotta wurde ohne Extras (Obst, Sahne) lieblos angerichtet. Die Bedienung war auch sehr unfreundlich.

Schnelle sehr freundliche Bediehnung, Essen gut und preislich i.O. Es gibt schönere Ecken zum draussen sitzen in Arnstadt, aber dafür könnt ihr ja nichts.

Bedienung zu hektisch, teilweise unfreundlich und wirkte extrem gestresst, obwohl Restaurant nicht wirklich voll war. Teller werden mitgenommen ohne zu fragen, ob man fertig ist. Essen war ok, aber mir persönlich zu fettig.

Das Essen ist sehr gut und das Ambiente stimmt auch. Man bekommt auch Gerichte, die nicht typisch italienisch sind, wie z.B. Steak. Die Getränke- und Speisenauswahl kann sich sehen lassen und, wie bereits erwähnt, schmeckt es wirklich gut. Im Grunde sind die Leute hier auch freundlich, doch auch hier hat sich ein Miesepeter eingeschlichen, der den Aufenthalt ein wenig unangenehm gemacht hat. Übertriebene Freundlichkeit muss auch nicht sein, aber ein gewisses Maß an zum Job passendem Verhalten erwarte ich dann schon. Daher einen Stern Abzug. Aber im Großen und Ganzen empfehlenswert.
