A very rustic restaurant, the service is very friendly. The food was tasty, nothing was missing, the portion was very generous.

A highlight in terms of price/performance/offer is certainly the potato house pan for €24.50. Contains two small fillets and a small piece of spare ribs (almost just bones and not even well cooked, a few vegetables as a side dish but definitely tasty, not crispy. Fried potatoes. All in a thin, sweet sauce. The Börden pan is also great.. everything frozen, of course and definitely not recommended. Low cost of goods, maximum profit. We think that everything should be a little good for a potato house and the potato dishes are also missing. We had a voucher yesterday that put the price into perspective a little, but what was on offer was still just too expensive That's all too little of everything, despite all understanding of the costs. The picture does not necessarily reflect reality... Well, the ambience is really neither nice nor stylish. You don't need to make a big investment to beautify something, unless it's completely gone. No longer adapted to modern times in any way. Everything is from the 70s and the sanitary facilities urgently need to be renewed. But that's another matter

Visit to the Löhner potato house with a gourmet block: Ask about Schlemmerblock both when reserving a table by phone and several times on site. Gourmet block customers (us and another family) were seated directly at the reception. Customers without a gourmet block were seated further back in the restaurant. After ordering, it was pointed out that pork fillet was out (visit Sunday evening at 7 p.m.!). Chicken fillet was then served, but there was a lot of it that didn't do justice to the €25 price of the dish. The food itself was quite tasty, but just not enough, which we felt was because we wanted to use the gourmet block. All in all, the food was okay, but the gourmet block made you feel like you were being treated like a second-class customer. We're definitely not coming back!

We became aware of the restaurant through the Schlemmerblock. When we reserved a table we were asked whether we had the gourmet block. That seemed strange to us, because you don't actually have to specify this when making the reservation. We found the welcome quite cold and unfriendly. There are 2 areas in the restaurant. In the area where we sat, all visitors had the gourmet block. The ambience seemed wildly mixed up and packed, not necessarily inviting. The menu also served as a placemat. The high prices didn't fit at all with the ambience or with what was served. Since we had previously looked at the menu online, we noticed that there were major differences in both the dishes and the drinks. Here we suspected that there was probably an extra room for gourmet block users with different, more expensive prices. But that's just a guess. The food was served quite quickly. However, the fries weren't exactly great, the fried potatoes were way too light and the schnitzels were dripping with fat. The portions were ok. You were full, but you managed to eat everything. We skipped dessert because of the high prices. We expected home-made potato specialties from a restaurant called “Kartoffelhaus”. The menu was more reminiscent of home-style cooking and little home-made food. Our conclusion: the journey from Minden to Löhne was not worth it for us. We definitely won't visit this restaurant a second time.

Very nice restaurant in a retro atmosphere. Very clean, in love with detail and also very hospitable. The food (steaks) was delicious and as ordered. The Apperol was very special, with orange juice. The bedside table (tiramisu & ice cream in a chocolate coating) also looked and tasted good.

Fries are good, you can do without salad, schnitzel is ok. Very expensive now. 30€/person/main course. Dessert around €9...phew

We were there yesterday on condition friendly. We ordered a schnitzel with fried potatoes and egg. Fried potatoes were a children's portion not seasoned at all and things looked like mashed potatoes. Schnitzel was also very small. Parnade was sticky and meat was sometimes tough. The best thing was the fried eggs. We came with a gourmet block. The chef is a complete disaster

I had the Wiener Schnitzel. There was a salad plate. But hello, today is July 31, 24. Currently cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. cost nothing. The salad plate was then served on a saucer, a minimal portion. The Wiener Schnitzel is no comparison to the Wiener Schnitzel from Austria. But it tasted good and at least it wasn't completely rectangular, that is to say, it was at least hand-crafted. The fried potatoes should have been crosser. And the size of the portion was clearly saved here again.

Unfortunately only 1 star. Were there yesterday. 5:30 p.m. there, a classic voucher (NOT a gourmet block) prompted us to visit. Reservation went smoothly, friendly reception, after the welcome we immediately asked for a voucher or gourmet block. " Coupon!" The kindness didn't disappear, it stayed. With a voucher you might be on the better side. We were the first guests and had the choice between two tables, and there was also a well-placed table. At first glance the ambience is rustic - cozy, but at second glance it's a little overloaded and a bit out of date, but there are one or two cozy corners on offer. The laminated card, which was also a base for the dishes that were served, contained surprisingly little of anything potato-related. International classics dominated the offering. We ordered two main courses. Zurich Geschnetzeltes: Meat tender, sauce very watery. Mushroom cream schnitzel: meat thin and overly al dente, the sauce an instant mush, certainly, like the croquettes, not homemade. There was little craftsmanship involved in making the dish, but the mushrooms were fresh! The highlight was definitely the dessert, vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries. Very tasty, the strawberries too, well, you can't go wrong here. Or yes, spray cream is not the first choice. The cappuccino ordered at the end was not uninteresting. Cup half full with coffee, with a large mountain of sprayed cream floating on top, not unlike an iceberg. My first cappuccino in this form and hopefully my last. Conclusion: we were full, the service was friendly until the end, and the voucher made the financial investment bearable. So overall it wasn't that great, maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. Who knows for sure. 1. Löhner potato house sounds a bit like the best house in town. Well, unfortunately that's not enough.

Called to reserve a table. Completely rude on the phone. When we said that we wanted to come with Schlemmerblock, the answer was “No, you can forget about that”. Due to the holiday, the gourmet block is not redeemable, which we didn't know. But this could definitely have been explained in a normal tone. The very last! You won't see us as customers. It's a complete disgrace to speak to customers like that.

Food is subpar, service unfriendly!

First of all, I have to say that I always rate things very honestly and have never given just one star. Unfortunately this time there is no other option. Beverages: -Beer was fine. -The children had an apple spritzer and an apple juice. Unfortunately, the two drinks were swapped, whereupon the child with the apple spritzer suddenly wanted an apple juice, but then there was the first problem with lots of tears and a whopping 15 minute wait for an apple juice. Eat: -Five minutes before the food came, the waitress came up to us to tell us that unfortunately there were no more fries today. (5:40 p.m.) Since there is no pasta there was nothing my daughter would eat. So we switched to a dish that she probably won't eat. But what can you do. Fries were just out. -The portions were too small. Nobody got fed. I was only just full because I was allowed to eat all of the children's meal mentioned above. -The taste was worse than in any student kitchen. There was no salt on the beans, none on the fried potatoes and the meat wasn't seasoned either. The cream sauce with mushrooms - and I've never experienced anything like it - only tasted like water. Furnishings: -The toilets were last renovated sometime before the 70s. -The tables were pulled out to create space for 6 people and were therefore so wobbly that you were afraid half the side of the table would break off. -The decoration was about as old as the toilets and also completely inappropriate, untidy and totally overlapping (good taste, like food, is different) -The menus are laminated and also serve as coasters for the plates. Even a fast food chain can do this better. A real shame. Service: -Since the fries were out and the food was under all circumstances, when asked: "Was everything okay?" Nobody answered. All the waitress said was, “Sorry about the fries.” Price: -Despite being a gourmet block, it was far too expensive. For the price we would have been full three times at Mäcces. There was also more quality and service there Conclusion: -No response even though the fries were gone -We are now at home and can make something to eat for our daughter, who actually needs to go to bed now. Thanks. Never again. Not even when we are invited.

Absolutely not recommended. Even one star is still too many. The food didn't taste like anything, any canteen food is better. The only thing that tasted like something were the ready-made chicken nuggets on the children's plate, which had to be served without fries because they were out. Schlemmerblock customers are separated. Service was subpar and they didn't even ask for a second drink.

Maybe I'm not representative for a review of the Löhner potato house... I'm a regular customer and have been for many years. I have NEVER had anything to complain about in all these years. With sometimes only a small number of staff available, they do a great job. The chef is also great, no one can make such delicious glazed fried potatoes, and the meat/fish is always cooked to perfection no matter what you use. I am completely satisfied. I give it 5 out of 5 points and not just out of connection Oh yes, I forgot one thing: the sprinkler music that plays in the restaurant is absolutely terrible and urgently needs to be revised.

Unfortunately the food wasn't good. The fried potatoes only saw the pan for a very short time, the spare ribs were super greasy and felt like they were just cooked and the chicken in curry sauce was almost inedible - unhealthy, greasy taste. Unfortunately, the staff is also only moderately friendly - if at all.

Food came very late and so did drinks

Spontaneous, and for the 1st TIME and WITHOUT A FOOD BLOCK. The ambience and the service are very friendly, you just have to like the rustic, the main thing is clean and tidy, the cuisine is a matter of taste, pickled green pepper in the sauce, as we met here with the cognac takes some getting used to. Went there to test it out. We were asked if we had a gourmet magazine. When we said yes, they said everything was fully booked. Then, while we were there, the lady at the counter got a call asking for a table reservation for 7 people, and she said: "Yes, no problem" We immediately had the feeling that people with a gourmet booklet weren't welcome. Just keep it up! Not recommendable. How unfriendly.

Were there yesterday with 8 people for dinner with a gourmet block. We had reserved but unfortunately we had to sit separately as the room for gourmet block holders is for a maximum of 6 people. Why do you separate regular paying customers from those with a gourmet block? Are the portions really smaller as some have already written? In a potato house you expect fresh fries and croquettes, not frozen! It's a shame, it was probably the first and last time we went there to eat.

An absolute disaster! Unfortunately never again... I can only warn anyone who plans to enter this restaurant with a gourmet block. Already at the entrance there is a separation, on the left the upscale guests, on the right those who want to save money through their gourmet block and try out restaurants in the area so that they may come back more often. Well, now we have at least the experience that this was the first and last visit. The reception was heartless and cold, our group was divided between two tables. With the Schlemmerblock you wouldn't have the right to more than 6 people at one table, we've never experienced that before. The menus were already laminated on the table, so of course you save on the tablecloth and decorations. Unfortunately, the staff was totally unmotivated, it was probably because of the gourmand's block, the dishes had to be read out when ordering, I've never experienced anything like that. The food was okay but not satisfactory. There is definitely no connection between price and performance here, a lot of things tasted like canned and canned food or frozen food. What was particularly shocking, however, was that products such as fries and croquettes were obviously NOT homemade in a potato house - of course that's not possible given the name! The portion was very small and hunger was only partially satisfied. Sometimes the meat died a second time, sometimes it was still too raw. And when it came time to pay, the staff was extremely overwhelmed with the card payment and, again, extremely unfriendly. The ambience is the only thing that was fine for me, of course a matter of taste but kept in one style. My highlight of the evening: the return journey.

We made a reservation by phone and received no response. That's why we assumed that the reservation was okay. As soon as we arrived (the restaurant was only occupied by 1 table), we were cheekily scolded by the boss, saying that we hadn't received any confirmation and that everything was full? We didn't have to endure such treatment and left immediately. What kind of unfriendly innkeepers are these? Completely missing the job. Never again.

Yesterday, March 4th, I was eating at the potato house Löhne with a friend (we own a gourmet block). As soon as we walked into the restaurant we were greeted unfriendly. When we got to the table, like in any other restaurant, we put the gourmet block on the table. When we placed our order, we were asked in a rather hectic and unfriendly manner to please put the gourmet block in our trouser pocket so that we couldn't see it. The same conditions were much friendlier for the middle-aged guests than for us in our mid-20s. We also had the impression when the food arrived that the plates from the table next door were significantly more full than ours. I also ordered my dish without mushrooms and even this wasn't implemented as requested. As for the food itself, I can say that it was okay, but not outstanding. We had the feeling throughout our stay in the restaurant that we were not wanted because of our age, which was made quite clear by the conditions! Overall, I wouldn't eat there again because nothing could convince me!

We would still be served even though the kitchen was already closed. Thanks again :) It was very tasty and we felt very comfortable.

More of a felish house than a potato house. Good portions, with variable quality and negative experience with service. During our visit we had to wait a noticeably long time until the order was taken, after which we had to wait even longer for the food. The dishes were clearly designed with the meat in mind, as this was the only component that really performed. The vegetables were also good and then came the potato products… The baked potato could have used another 15 minutes in the oven. Croquettes were nothing special and you can get them better presented at the chip shop next door. With a Lokas that says “1. Löhner “Potato House” I would have expected a different experience. Conclusion: Meat yes, service and potato products not so much.

Went there for dinner today. Gourmet block on the right, normal eaters on the left :-) The welcome and service were friendly, the room was heated quite warmly. Rustic atmosphere. The order was taken and the food came without a long wait. Portions were good, meat was perfectly fried and tender. For vegetarians, the offering is rather small compared to conventional dishes. Improvements should be made here, the demand is definitely there and this should be taken into account. The waitress was always there and asked if everything was OK and if there was anything else that could be done. With Schlemmerblock we paid around 36 euros for 2 people with drinks (0.4 and 0.75 liters) and espresso. Unfortunately I can't attach any pictures :-(

It was quite nice. It's easy to go there. Ader should reserve a table. Food was tasty, nothing too particularly solid, good cuisine. I think the prices are appropriate for what you come from. It's a good place to go.

Not for gourmands. On the phone you are asked whether you have a gourmet block, at the entrance you are then divided up, on the left without a block, on the right with one, the menus are already on the tables. This makes it seem like there are different cards. Of course, when we ordered one and only steak, we received the answer, as always, that the last one had just been sold and that it was at 6 p.m. on the weekend. (not the first time and not the only place where this happens with the block). The food was okay, but not particularly tasty. When I ordered redfish, a whole salmon fillet was mixed in with the bass. Absolutely not recommended... The Block is there so that people who don't know the restaurant can get to know it from its best side and decide to eat there again and again without the Block. Such behavior makes absolutely no sense to me. In addition, it is of course not for vegans or vegetarians, the few vegetarian dishes are not complete and there is not enough protein.

We were there on January 5, 2024. The welcome was warm, the fireplace created a nice atmosphere. We were able to order quickly and both the drink service and the kitchen worked well in terms of time. However, I didn't like the rest. Laminated sheets replaced a menu. It looked cheap and lackluster. The ample offering and the ambience have remained in place a few decades ago. Modern and fresh is not the concept. I didn't expect that either, but the quality could have been better to make the time travel attractive. The ribs tasted bland and tough. The silver skin was not removed before preparation and the marinade was unable to add any flavor to the meat. The dip was probably ready-made curry ketchup. The Zurich-style poultry meat tasted soft and rather mushy. Roasted aromas were missing. In addition, the white wine tasted too dominant in the sauce. The food wasn't fun. The cleanliness was positive, and the prices would be fair if the taste was convincing. However, the numerous guests make me wonder whether we simply had a bad day?! Nevertheless, the first impression was not so convincing that we would make a second attempt.

Das Restaurant ist sehr urig.Das Essen war spitze. Mir hat das Hühnchen mit Ananas u Currysauce super geschmeckt.Das Gericht von meinem Mann war auch sehr gut ,besonders die Bratkartoffeln waren köstlich .Trotz Schlemmerpass sind wir höflich bedient worden ,was ja nicht immer selbstverständlich ist. Wir können das Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen.

Tisch reserviert auf 18.30 Pünktlich da ....Getränke und Essen bestellt.. Vorspeise eine Kartoffelsuppe die war richtig schlecht.. Hauptspeise kam dann gegen 20.00 Uhr.. Filet in Rahmsoße mit Pilzen und Kroketten.. Soße war kalt.. Kroketten lau warm... Filet war gut. Alles in allem hat es unendlich lange gedauert.. Und das Essen war auch nicht gut.. Für mich kein zweites Mal

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis beim Essen passt überhaupt nicht. Wir haben im "Saal" gesessen, der Kellner kam nur selten vorbei um nach Getränken zu schauen. Wartezeit auf das Essen 1,5 Std., obwohl es nicht voll war. Der Raum war von der Temperatur her grenzwertig warm.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Salat war mit einem tollen Dressing angerichtet. Der Service war sehr gut. Aud Änderungswünsche wird eingegangen. Gehe mit Sicherheit wieder dort hin

Wir waren schon einmal da und es hat uns nicht so gut geschmeckt. Aber eine 2. Chance hat jeder. Was soll ich sagen. Es war so naja. Geschmäcker sind ja verschieden. Das Schnitzel war an der Panade schon sehr fettig, Sauce Hollondaise aus dem Tetrapack und dazu Dosen Ananas. Mir hat es leider nicht so gut geschmeckt. Ich komme nicht wieder.

Ein total uhriges Restaurant, sehr süß und charmant eingerichtet, man kann hier so viel entdecken 😍eine sehr freundliche Bedienung, daß Restaurant ist schon lange im Familien Besitz und das Essen war super 😋, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Мы ужинали в этом месте уже дважды. Нравится старинный интерьер, много разных деталей. Сервис не совсем на уровне ресторана (нам есть с чем сравнить в разных странах), они улыбаются, но иногда весьма натянуто :) Блюда очень простые, но то, что мы пробовали были вполне вкусным. Немного удивили Kartoffelntaschen (как из магазинного пакета). Возможно зайдём снова, тк живём неподалёку.

Wir haben dort zu viert sehr gut gegessen. Das Fleisch war sehr zart und auch alles andere sehr gut! Das Ambiente hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen.

Wir waren heute seit langem wieder im Kartoffelhaus. Es war möglich kurzfristig einen Tisch zu bekommen. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, trotz das wir sehr unschlüssig mit der Tischauswahl waren. Auch das wir den Schlemmerblock dabei hatten, war kein Problem. Im Gegenteil, sie empfahl uns sogar Optionen um das Angebot ausreichend zu nutzen. Zum Schluss gab es sogar noch ein leckeres 😋 Eis 🍨 für die Kinder👌Auch draußen war es sehr angenehm und sauber. Wir waren mit dem gesamten Service sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. Kann ich nur empfehlen 👍👍👍👍

Ambiente toll,sehr sauber und gepflegt. Essen eher durchschnittlich und wenig gewürzt. Spargelgericht für 15.90 war mit Schlemmerblock nicht möglich. Haben wir eben teurer gegessen. Nicht nachzuvollziehen. Service freundlich und zuvorkommend.
