Zum Heide-Eck in Löhne

This review is going to be a bit long. I've tried a lot of things in the Minden/Herford area. Now for the review. I arrived around 8 p.m. I ordered a gyro pizza. I was asked if I wanted tzatziki and oregano on it, which I confirmed. So far, so good. The manager seemed noticeably drunk (plus a glass on the counter), which was reflected in her vulgar language and strange behavior after ordering by phone. The pizza... what can I say? The gyro and onions tasted bad or stale. The tzatziki was carelessly slapped onto four spots on the pizza from a cheap tzatziki pot. Not spread out, or used as a substitute for tomato sauce. This made it really difficult to take more than two or three bites. €10 for that... any frozen pizza from the supermarket tastes better. Honest opinion

I've been coming here for years now – and it's always simply outstanding. The restaurant is run by a Vietnamese family who offer authentic Asian cuisine with a lot of heart. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes incredibly delicious.

We celebrated our wedding at the Dorfstuben in May 2025, and for us, it was the best decision! The planning with the Knicker family was super easy, and our wishes were taken into account. We were able to put together our own menu, so there was something for everyone. Our vegan guests were also well catered for. Our wedding cake was stored in the cold storage facility and was brought in, in keeping with the song "Aber bitte mit Sahne" (But please with cream) =). We were able to decorate the large hall (at the back) the day before, after consultation. We also have only positive things to say about our guests who stayed overnight. The rooms were clean and well-equipped. In summary, we can say that we were completely satisfied with the planning, execution, service, and the food and drinks offered. !We can wholeheartedly recommend the Dorfstuben! Thank you so much! Unfortunately not recommended, unpleasant host, not again.

Reserved for 6 people on Sunday evening. Reservation confirmed. Upon arrival, after a 20-minute wait, we were told the chef was ill and only one burger dish was available. The visit was cut short.
