An absolute recommendation! This bar not only impresses with its great ambiance and the option to eat in or have food conveniently delivered – but above all with a truly exceptionally diverse menu for a bar. The selection is large, varied, and of excellent quality.
The entire team is always extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. The prices for food and drinks are also absolutely fair and customer-friendly.
A special highlight is the owner himself: extremely personable, humorous, and dedicated. He is not only present but also always open to conversations with his guests. Criticism is taken seriously and often implemented immediately – something we have rarely experienced. The constant development with new drinks, special evenings, and creative ideas shows how much passion goes into this establishment.
We always feel very welcome there – whether we eat in, pick up something, or have it delivered. Thank you for many wonderful evenings and an all-round successful concept!
The pizza I ate, in this case pizza “Büsum” with ham, broccoli, hollandaise sauce & cheese with a cheese crust, was one of the best I have eaten so far.
The only point of criticism is the long delivery time of up to 1 hour +/-. Certainly not the last time I ordered there. It should also be mentioned that the order acceptance team is extremely friendly! 👍🏻
Really very nice Greek restaurant which we like more and more after the renovation some time ago!
Large selection and very tasty food.
Personally, I can recommend the special plate for very good eaters... very powerful!
Parking spaces are available but can be very full in some cases, so the side street is sufficient.
The service was inattentive and slow. We had to wait forever until someone even took our order, and then again for far too long until the food finally came. When it was served it was lukewarm and looked anything but fresh. The salad was wilted, the meat was dry, and the side dishes tasted like processed food. Even the tzatziki was disappointing – bland and watery.
The food is very good and in most cases even warm when it is delivered. The big problem is the time, no matter what day and time the order is placed, the approximate time will be exceeded by at least half an hour. I ask myself whether the staff is too incompetent, too slow or there are simply not enough people to do all the work, otherwise something like this wouldn't happen and the distance has nothing to do with it.
First of all: Tips were given in cash, as it is not possible with a card.
Unfortunately I cannot confirm the mostly very good reviews. My wife and I were there on a Friday at 7 p.m. and it wasn't too busy.
The service was fine. A service person asked us very quickly after we had the card whether we already knew what we wanted, and said no, she was there again another 2 minutes later. That's fine, we felt a bit under pressure.
We ordered a mixed antipasti plate for €13 and two spaghetti carbonaras for over €16. The antipasti plate also came very quickly. After about 5 minutes we had a carelessly arranged pile of fridge-cold antipasti with a few slices of dry, bland white bread. In addition to some antipasti pieces that may have been prepared in-house (grilled zucchini was somewhat edible), it was difficult for us not to think of the majority of the food served as ready-made products.
This was followed a short time later by 2 portions of spaghetti carbonara, which were teasingly hidden under half a centimeter of Italian hard cheese. At second glance and the first bite, we realized that instead of spaghetti carbonara, we had received peppery, saltless spaghetti with scrambled eggs and steamed cubes of bacon. I like to eat spicy food, but it wasn't anything like "there was too much of the good stuff from the mill", but rather a utopian amount. Having noted this, about 15 minutes later we were actually served spaghetti carbonara, which was somehow edible, but now very, very salty and the egg was now a bit too raw.
If the second portion of spaghetti carbonara had been bombastic, I wouldn't be writing this at all and would sort it out as "people just make mistakes sometimes". But the carbonara afterwards was only just about edible for the price of over €16 and afterwards we would have been better off leaving it alone. Now, unfortunately, we are sitting in our holiday apartment on a long-awaited day of vacation, disappointed and with a sore stomach, and have canceled the evening program because we both have digestive problems.
A note here: in the description under the carbonara on the menu it says "Pancetta". But that was either the worst pre-cut pancetta in the world, or - what I assume - just not pancetta. And that's where I get a little nervous at that price. In addition, the "pancetta" wasn't really fried, but rather steamed.
All in all, I spent almost €60 (which would definitely be fine for decent quality and I expect that too) and got a stomach ache and digestive problems.
Since Corona, you can order food here and take it away. There are no more seating options. But that's okay. We have been buying here intermittently for 20 years and the quality is still very, very good. The owners are always very friendly and we really enjoy talking to them. It feels familiar and familiar. We would also give it 6 stars.
Unfortunately, in the first round, the paddy from the burger was the sole of a shoe. But we got a new one and it was better. Otherwise everything was great. The prices were so-so. New post is added. October 17th, 2023 Alex Kitchen will unfortunately be closed on October 31st, 2023.
