Absolutely amazing family run restaurant. The innkeeper (Holger) himself is a fine, entertaining host. The atmosphere in the kitchen is just as great as the dishes served. Nothing off the shelf, everything real. My recommendation for authentic Italian food in the middle of the Odenwald. 😍

Beautiful inn in the Odenwald. We came by spontaneously on a Sunday evening and got the last table. A reservation is recommended. The apple cider was delicious and we also enjoyed the food very much. We recommend the sauerkraut and the boiled cheese schnitzel. Here the schnitzels are properly baked with the cooked cheese and not just cooked cheese served on the side. The music was also very tasty. There are plenty of parking spaces available - including above the restaurant. We would definitely come back.

Very small but fine restaurant. Reservation required. When the weather is nice you can sit outside. Dogs are allowed. Small, good menu with home cooking. Portions very large. Food was very tasty. Nice friendly service. Price performance top.

How nice that this restaurant is back in business. The service is courteous and it was no problem at all to get my schnitzel served without cream - just with fried chanterelles - wonderful - otherwise it is always difficult because of my lactose intolerance. The food was tasty and plentiful. And at the end there was also a schnapps on the house - also delicious... We'll definitely come back.

We had a very nice evening at the Schardhof! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends after a long hike. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The menu offered a good selection of regional and seasonal dishes, prepared with great attention to detail. We particularly liked the freshly prepared meat (schnitzel) and the sophisticated side dishes - the taste was really great! A small negative point was the slightly longer wait for the main course, but it was definitely worth the wait. Overall a great restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. We'd love to come back! Deserved 4 stars!

Super Lage, aber einfacher Standard, schmeckt mäßig, kein Fortschritt mit der Zeit, keine innovativen Gerichte, der gleiche Stiefel wie noch vor 30-40 Jahren. Man will wegen der Lage dorthin, aber wenn man dort ist und isst, sagt man sich: Muss ich nicht nochmal haben. Touristenfang ohne Scharm.
