Absolutely amazing family run restaurant. The innkeeper (Holger) himself is a fine, entertaining host. The atmosphere in the kitchen is just as great as the dishes served. Nothing off the shelf, everything real. My recommendation for authentic Italian food in the middle of the Odenwald. 😍

Beautiful inn in the Odenwald. We came by spontaneously on a Sunday evening and got the last table. A reservation is recommended. The apple cider was delicious and we also enjoyed the food very much. We recommend the sauerkraut and the boiled cheese schnitzel. Here the schnitzels are properly baked with the cooked cheese and not just cooked cheese served on the side. The music was also very tasty. There are plenty of parking spaces available - including above the restaurant. We would definitely come back.

Very good little pork schnitzel for a small price

Very small but fine restaurant. Reservation required. When the weather is nice you can sit outside. Dogs are allowed. Small, good menu with home cooking. Portions very large. Food was very tasty. Nice friendly service. Price performance top.

How nice that this restaurant is back in business. The service is courteous and it was no problem at all to get my schnitzel served without cream - just with fried chanterelles - wonderful - otherwise it is always difficult because of my lactose intolerance. The food was tasty and plentiful. And at the end there was also a schnapps on the house - also delicious... We'll definitely come back.

Das Ambiente -sowohl von aussen als auch von innen- ist ansprechend und weckt gewisse Erwartungen an die angebotenen Speisen. Die gute gestalte und formulierte Speisekarte hat uns Appetit auf einen Caesar Salat und das Gemüsecurry gemacht. Angesichts der geforderten Preise leider eine Enttäuschung. Der "Caesar Salat" war leider nur ein gemischter Salat mit ein paar gebratenen Hähnchenstücke, sehr wenig Parmesan und einem Dressing das nichts mit der Bezeichnung zu tun hat. Das Curry war OK und es ist auch akzeptabel das es nicht wie beim Inder schmeckt. 17,90 für eine Portion die aber deutlich geringer ausfällt als bei jedem Lokal in dem wir bisher waren ist bedauerlich. Im eigentlich akzeptablen Herren WC gibt es am Waschtisch keinen Spiegel dafür direkt über den Pisseourbecken. Toll... mich hat schon immer interessiert welche Technik mein Nachbar hat.

If the menu says “homemade” and it tastes that way, you can’t go wrong. Simply delicious.

The service was bomb. Very nice and helpful. Cake selection could be more but mine favorite cake was there. The latte can also be offered as a “large” 😉. I'd be happy to pay more. All in all, we'll definitely be back :)

I was there two months ago for a birthday and can only recommend it. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy. The food is extremely tasty and the prices are fair, the service was friendly. Overall, it was a successful evening that I would like to repeat.

Super Lage, aber einfacher Standard, schmeckt mäßig, kein Fortschritt mit der Zeit, keine innovativen Gerichte, der gleiche Stiefel wie noch vor 30-40 Jahren. Man will wegen der Lage dorthin, aber wenn man dort ist und isst, sagt man sich: Muss ich nicht nochmal haben. Touristenfang ohne Scharm.
