Small but very nice location... would love to come back.

I ordered chicken wings and got charcoal briquettes. On the phone it said 1 1/2 hours until the food was ready for collection, which wasn't a problem. So later I got in the car and set off, only to wait another 30 minutes in the restaurant, which was okay for me, but my food was (almost) not edible. The chicken wings were completely burnt. Not just one, but all of them! The other meal, although fried potatoes were specifically ordered, included fries. Not the end of the world but it's a shame because the order was different and was also confirmed with fried potatoes. All in all, it's a shame that the food was nothing, especially after such a long wait.

We ate very well once again. The cuisine is "real" and it tastes fantastic. Through the open kitchen door we had the opportunity to see the care and love with which the food was prepared. The service is attentive, helpful and not intrusive in any way. Price/performance is totally right. We enjoy being guests here and would love to come back.

A very outdated restaurant. I actually wanted to go back straight away, but we gave it a chance and ate something, but left straight after, going out for a nice meal is different.

Discovered by chance on a bike ride and excellent food and drink. I recommend.

The four of us had dinner at the Madera restaurant in Eppstein on Easter Saturday. Luckily we had reserved. We arrived about 10 minutes late and decided on the 4-course menu, only our daughter, being a vegetarian, chose a pinsa. In short: the food was great, both in terms of taste and the way it was presented on the plate. You can tell that someone is passionate about what they're doing. Nice and cozy one course after the other. The ambience is dignified but casual, the service is top notch. I've never written a review about a restaurant before, but this time I felt the need to. I can highly recommend Madera and we will definitely come back.

I actually love the location and enjoy being here, but I definitely have to complain about two things: 1. the times given on Google do not match the actual ones. From 2:30 p.m. there is quiet time and the restaurant is closed. Really annoying when you arrive thirsty and hungry after a hike. 2. When we arrive after our long hike, there is a note outside that says card payment is not possible. Here too, really annoying after a long hike as there is no bank nearby.

The shop actually has all the conditions to be great, but as a restaurant it is unfortunately a disappointment. There is enough parking, it is well connected, looks great inside and out. There are also plenty of seats inside and outside and a nice children's corner. Unfortunately, the good impression was already gone during the operation. Even though the shop was empty, you were greeted with a mushy greeting and when you picked up your drinks and food you already had the feeling of being uninvited. The beer was warm, the food was cold. The taste wasn't convincing either, but it wasn't completely bad either. So very mediocre at sometimes expensive prices. Unfortunately, the tomato sauce for children was spicy, so our daughter ate a few old potatoes for almost €7. I would come again for a concert, but not for food.

A fabulous restaurant in Altstadt. An extensive menu, which includes Persian, Vegetarian and traditional German food. The restaurant is small and intimate. The owner/chef prepares food with love. What a great place for Eppstein and surrounds

Mit dem Essen sind wir immer zufrieden, deshalb sind wir öfters dort. Leider wird der Abend weniger schön, wenn man von einem der Kellner bedient wird, der sich aufdringlich laut ,als Alleinunterhalter geriert.

We didn't stay overnight, just had a very delicious meal!

We did not stay in the hotel but went there for dinner. Worst food I had in a long long time! No flavor. Veggies were out of the freezer heated up. Broccoli had black rotten part inside of it. On top the portions were all very small and pricy. I had Caprese, I had no idea you could mess that one up ! Nasty.

We always order Indian dishes. They always taste very good. Food is always ready on time and the staff is very friendly. The price-performance ratio is good. 👍

Unfortunately the most inedible food I have ever eaten. 3 different portions including salad, thrown directly into the trash by my visitors and me. It's just a shame to offer something like that. 50 € gone! It has nothing to do with Asian cuisine, nor with any food. Everything was inedible, rice, sauces, meat and vegetables no matter which of 3 different dishes. It can't be that no one in the restaurant has tried the food and has an opinion about it that can change something... Incredible!!! I understand the other negative reviews, although they are still understatements!!!
