We went to Lindner's again, this time twice, because the food is simply delicious. There were nine of us, and both times it was packed, but everything ran smoothly. The food was once again very tasty, and the beer was fantastic. The staff, who clearly know their stuff, were still very friendly. The menu isn't extensive, but there's something for everyone. A visit to this charming, traditional restaurant is highly recommended 👍 and the beer garden is also great in the summer. The prices are more than fair.
I have been coming to this restaurant over the last 6-7 years but more recently there is always a push from the staff to force customer to finish quickly and free the table. Especially today the staff told us to finish quickly because there are people waiting outside because those didn’t eat whole day due to Ramadan (we were, with 2 kids, almost 30-40 minutes in dining). It is a nice gesture but the way he said was very rude.
A piece of advice: Put a notice that table should be free in 30-40 minutes and if you do care about people standing outside than people inside, please reserve table for them so that they don’t have to wait.
Delicious fresh burgers, including the vegetarian options, perfectly crispy sweet potato fries, plenty of sauces, good dressing on the salad, but above all, a very cozy atmosphere. Excellent service, a perfect evening!
The food was delicious. We ordered roll-outs, which were fresh and scrumptious. We also had rice with chicken and vegetables. The atmosphere and service were wonderful. It might be advisable to reserve a table in advance, but we didn't and found a free table for three right away.
We had a lovely meal here.
I had the Veal Snitzel and my wife had a Pork Roast.
Both were delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Great Service. If you are in Schliersee make sure to call highly recommend this place.
Hope to be back soon.
We spontaneously decided to go to Wolpertinger on a Sunday evening – actually just after the kitchen closed (8 pm on Sundays, otherwise 9 pm). The friendly server quickly checked with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate two more guests. Luckily for us, it wasn't a problem!
And we weren't disappointed! Both the schnitzel in beer sauce and the "Steckerl-Wickel" (a type of sausage wrap) were delicious.
Moreover, the entire staff was friendly and relaxed, so we felt very welcome.
Discriminatory behavior and physical aggression.
I used to love this place and recommended it to everyone, but after tonight, never again. We were harassed by a male waiter simply for speaking English. despite the bar being half-empty. He repeatedly yelled "Only German!" at us and brought us the bill unasked to force us out.
When I tried to complain about this rude behavior to another staff member, instead of being helped, I was scolded for speaking English and physically pushed/shoved by the staff.
It is heartbreaking to be treated this way in a place I visited so often. If you don't speak German or if you expect civilized behavior, do not go here.
Great place, very friendly staff/service, delicious food and drinks.
We had a veggie burger, a small Caesar salad, and a small veggie tarte flambée. We also had non-alcoholic aperitifs and the Bungalow 7 coffee; everything tasted fantastic. The highlight of the day was the dessert :)
We'll definitely be back!
P.S.: It's best to make a reservation or arrive before 6 p.m., otherwise it might be difficult to get a table.
I visited this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago. I really love Indian food, but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped.
I didn't like the butter chicken, neither the meat (the pieces were a bit large and somewhat stringy) nor the sauce (it lacked flavor).
I've also had better desserts (mango cream) at other Indian restaurants, with vanilla ice cream and pistachios, and a much richer flavor. The naan bread, however, was delicious.
Perhaps I just caught them on an off day, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations.
I'll still give it another try, though, so I can make a proper comparison.
