Atmospheric ambiance paired with excellent service and Michelin-starred cuisine! We'd be happy to return!

A thoroughly enjoyable visit! The extremely polite and friendly waiters deserve special mention – old-school service that many younger diners could learn a thing or two from. The atmosphere was pleasantly calm, ideal for relaxing. The food was not only delicious but also arrived promptly. We'd love to come back!

The restaurant "Zur Windmühle" impresses with excellent food, a pleasant outdoor atmosphere, and friendly service. The prices are a bit on the high side, but perfectly reasonable considering the quality of the food and the extremely child-friendly atmosphere. The parking situation and waiting times could be better, but I look forward to returning soon and trying new dishes. We ordered dishes from the seasonal asparagus menu. Our son received a small fries and soft serve ice cream on the house.

Even though we didn't make a reservation (Mother's Day) and had a large dog with us, we got a table straight away.

A place with soul – To the windmill in Viersen The Restaurant Zur Windmühle in Viersen is a real experience for all the senses. As soon as you enter, you can feel the special charm: the ambience combines furnishings from different eras, lovingly combined and arranged with great taste. Each room tells its own little story and invites you to discover it. I think in summer the visit is even better thanks to the fantastically beautiful beer garden - a green oasis with a relaxed atmosphere. It becomes particularly atmospheric when subtle music or suitable background sounds accompany the evening - just the right mix of entertainment and cosiness. In terms of cuisine, no wish is left unfulfilled. The food is fresh, cleverly prepared and beautifully presented. Whether classics or seasonal specialties – you can taste the attention to detail. The service also deserves high praise: warm, attentive and always with a smile. Zur Windmühle is much more than a restaurant – it is a place where you feel welcome, enjoy and enjoy staying. We celebrated our civil wedding with around 40 people in this restaurant and it couldn't have been better. From the start, the service was friendly, professional and very attentive - without being intrusive. Everything went smoothly and relaxed. The food was excellent. Freshly prepared, tasty and consistently a highlight for us and our guests. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated, the garden was well maintained and ideal for the reception and photos. You can tell that an experienced team is at work here. We felt completely at home and can recommend the restaurant without reservation. An all-round successful day – thank you for that!

I went out to dinner with a few girls today. For me it was the first and definitely not the last time. Individual requests were taken into account and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice and we will also try out the beer garden.

We ate there with 13 people on Tuesday evening, service was great and really comfortable. We didn't have to wait long for the food and everyone got it at the same time.

10 out of 10! At first I couldn't get in because the entrance was bricked up. But the last time I was there was 30 years ago. The trick is, you have to enter through the porch. :-) After finding all the spelling errors in the menu, I wondered about the dishes 83 noodles "I don't know", 84 Schnitzel "I don't care" and 85 "Something "nuggets with fries" was happy for the little guests, so we almost all ordered Jago's mixed plate in the hope of getting a decent grilled plate. The waiters were professional and funny. Even with a white towel over his arm. That actually impressed me. My wife accidentally dropped her napkin. The waiter not only picked it up, no - he brought a new napkin. I was impressed again. The napkins and tablecloth were as clean as I have ever seen. The salad came quickly. Two of our companions that evening had forgotten to say that they didn't want a salad, even though it was on the menu and they hadn't even tried it. I hope no one noticed that I then ate 3 salads. Extremely delicious! The main courses also came quickly. In fact, it was perhaps the best grilled dish I had eaten in my life. Meat quality and preparation 10/10. I can't think of what could be done better about it. After my daughter didn't like the pasta, which wasn't because of the pasta - but because of her unacceptance towards differently shaped pasta, she got some ice cream. I tried the noodles and they were perfect! There was no normal scoop ice cream, no. Surprise! There was a soft white with waffles - like you used to get at McDonalds before they switched to paper cups. An elderly couple at the next table saw this and immediately wanted this ice cream and ordered some. Overall the service was super fast! Reordered Aiwar and payment has never been so quick. By the way, the portions were very generous. You'll really get full here. After my 3 salads and my Grittleler, I got a piece of meat from my wife because I couldn't get enough of the delicious food. I had to give the biggest tip. Thank you! It was great.

We were there with the staff. An individual menu card was designed with love. The service was great. Likewise the ambience. Special requests were also taken into account in an absolutely uncomplicated manner. With the selection of salads, fish and meat dishes, everyone got their money's worth. The portions were plentiful and everyone enjoyed it. “Zur Windmühle” was the right decision and everyone would love to come back.

The room is clean and furnished to a high standard, but I wouldn't describe the accommodation as a hotel, there is no reception or breakfast etc., but as a guesthouse it is highly recommended, especially the access via door code is really helpful, all in all, top top

A beautiful restaurant, furnished with great attention to detail. White cloth tablecloths, cloth napkins, etc. The food is of excellent quality and you will be full. The service couldn't be better, very polite, unobtrusive and accommodating. 100 percent recommended.

My wife and I were invited there to my brother's golden wedding anniversary. Well, what can you say? Simply without words. It was so great. The ambience is well coordinated. The staff and the boss were super nice and friendly, always making sure everyone had something to drink and in a very discreet way. But not just for us, but also for the other guests. Food was super super tasty. It's a shame that we were there in autumn because the garden outside where you can sit and eat in summer is a dream. So go and have a look and try it for yourself

What can I say? Guys my husband and I were so excited. The ambience was a dream and you felt completely in good hands. It was so cozy. Then the boss and the staff are really first class. Food without words. So delicious. Meat top quality and the rest too. It was always made sure that you were asked if you would like to drink something else because the glass was empty, but it was really empty and you were asked. Then the boss and the staff were very discreet when asking and were asked quietly so that no one else at the table noticed. I give you double stars

That was worth 5 stars. The food was delicious, the service was super nice and, above all, attentive. We were already sitting at our table for two when 20 people came behind us at a long table. It got very loud then. The waiter stood with us for less than 2 minutes and gave us another table. I found that so thoughtful, respectful. And the atmosphere is very cozy. Nachdem unser Stammlokal geschlossen war haben wir uns in der Umgebung um Viersen orientiert und sind auf dieses Lokal gestoßen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und konnten im großen Aussenbereich Platz nehmen. Getränke und Auswahl an Gerichtet war umfangreich und es gibt jeweils eine aktuelle Tageskarte zusätzlich zur regulären Karte an den Tisch. Essen sehr schmackhaft und herzhaft abgeschmeckt, wir sind mittlerweile mehrfach eingekehrt und fühlten uns auch im Innenbereich im gehobenen Ambiente sehr wohl. Das Team unaufdringlich aber immer präsent, sehr freundlich und Sonderwünsche wurden gerne erfüllt.

A very nice atmosphere. Various chair decorations all stylishly put together. The service is excellent, just as you would expect. The food was very tasty, the steaks were cooked to perfection and the Wiener Schnitzel from klab was as tender as butter. Every meal so delicious. just everything you need to have a lovely evening. The food tasted good. Unfortunately everything took a relatively long time (45 minutes) even though it was relatively empty. Ordering the dessert also took another 34 minutes to prepare and unfortunately the drinks we ordered would also be forgotten, that could happen, but you couldn't say anything because no one came to see us 12 minutes after the drinks were ordered. All in all good, service and speed can be optimized.

Why haven't we been here before? The food was great, the service was great and the furnishing style was particularly cozy and harmonious. We'll be back!

We had to catch up with our daughter's birthday and after years we had dinner in this incredibly beautiful restaurant yesterday. The ambience, the service, the food couldn't be nicer, better and tastier!!! If I could give more stars I would 😋👍💯👌TOP!!!

We were invited here by our mother. The ambience is very good, the waitresses were very friendly and funny. There is enough choice on the menu to suit every taste. And finally a restaurant that also offers vegetarian dishes. It was a lovely evening and all of the invited guests were in good hands and felt very comfortable. Thank you very much 😀

This restaurant is a pleasant surprise: cozy seating on the large outdoor terrace surrounded by trees and greenery, cleverly laid out at different heights to create smaller terraces. Almost as if the guest were sitting outside alone to enjoy a cozy evening. There are several covered outdoor areas that are suitable for celebrations in small, sociable groups. In short: fantastic. The special ambience continues indoors. Here too, guests can expect a special atmosphere. The landlord looks after us in a very friendly manner and the entire service works great. The food we ordered was on the plate in good portions, of good quality and very, very tasty. We come from Meerbusch and would like to have a location like this here.

One star less for the food, which tasted very good because the portions of meat on the grill plate for 2 people. or the liver was simply too big. You leave something on your plate with a guilty conscience. Otherwise everything is wonderful!

Dieses Restaurant ist eine angenehme Überraschung: gemütliche Sitzplätze auf der großen von Bäumen und Grün umstandenen Außenterrasse, so geschickt in unterschiedlichen Höhen angelegt, dass es kleinere Terrassen gibt. Fast so, als würde der Gast draußen allein sitzen um einen lauschigen Abend zu genießen. Es gibt mehrere überdachte Sitzplätze geeignet für Feiern in kleinen Gruppen. Kurz: traumhaft. Auch im Innenbereich setzt sich das besondere Ambiente fort. Auch hier erwartet den Gast eine besondere Atmosphäre. Der Wirt kümmert sich um uns superfreundlich und die gesamte Bedienung klappt hervorragend. Die bestellten Speisen gab es in guten Portionen und waren qualitativ prima und sehr schmackhaft. Wir sind aus Meerbusch und würden uns hier eine solche Lokation wünschen.

The atmosphere in the beer garden is really nice, it extends over several levels. There was also a very nice atmosphere in the restaurant The service is very friendly and quick... The boss is really great, he took time for us.. We had a few questions about his restaurant.. He showed us pictures of the renovation... Everything fits, from front to back. The outdoor area is beautifully designed with small sections, so you don't feel like you're sitting in a better beer garden. The food is a little more expensive than you're used to, but it's absolutely worth the money for the upscale ambience and excellent taste.

The beer garden is very nice and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The portions were large, but the quality was just okay. I also found many of the dishes far too expensive.

Once again we really enjoyed the Restaurant Zur Windmühle. The food is very tasty. Today I had a veal cordon bleu. Great breading, tender meat, crispy fries and the salad to the fore, a poem. However, what meant a finale with a culinary delight and the crowning glory of the evening...the tiramisu! Guys, my recommendation. An aromatic experience after a successful meal. Be sure to try it yourself! Thumbs up and see you next time.

The more I think about it, the more disappointing it becomes. Truly the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. Nothing Viersen can boast about. And on top of that, completely overpriced. I can't recommend it to anyone.

We have rarely sat so beautifully and then eaten well too! The lovingly landscaped beer garden is second to none. Not just lined up table after table, but rather spacious, here a small group of tables, there 3 tables under a wooden roof... Fountains splashing, green and blooming everywhere, just beautiful! It was our first time there, but we could become regulars... Very friendly, attentive service, our dog was warmly welcomed, and even though we were sitting at the table furthest away from the house, we weren't forgotten. Highly Recommended!

Da muss man extra aus Freiburg und Zürich anreisen, um eine Erfahrung der besonderen Art zu machen. Sehr leckeres Essen, riesige Portionen und ein Wirt wie aus dem Bilderbuch: fürsorglich, humorvoll, aufmerksam, der alles in Bewegung setzt, seine Gäste zu verwöhnen. Dem jungen Mann an unserem Tisch, der nicht sofort und aus voller Überzeugung gesagt hat, er sei jetzt komplett satt, hat er auf Kosten des Hauses eine zweite Portion serviert während die Damenriege nach einem doggy bag gefragt hat, da die riesigen Portionen kaum zu bewältigen waren. Wunderschöner Garten, zauberhaftes Lokal, gute Weine und über allem die Fürsorge und Herzlichkeit eines "patrone", der mit Leib und Seele seinen Beruf ausübt. Schade, daß wir so weit weg wohnen, um nicht öfters in der Windmühle sein zu können. 200% Empfehlung!

We were there for the first time with our family yesterday. This will be my new favorite place. Outside there is a beautiful beer garden with many cozy corners. Everything inside is designed with great attention to detail. Styles from Baroque to Renaissance to Art Nouveau. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food tasted very tasty. This evening we ate VERY well with four people and had a lovely evening! The veal schnitzel with asparagus, potatoes and hollandaise sauce, as well as the liver with mashed potatoes and fried onions and the Pljeskavica special were a huge portion of fabulous quality! The dessert in the form of a warm waffle with strawberries, soft ice cream and cream was a dream! The service is excellent and the ambience is exceptional - a little journey back in time!
