Zur Traube in Nidda

Wir waren schon mehrmals hier und sind jedes Mal begeistert. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker, die Portionen sind großzügig und der Service ist sehr freundlich. Wer die echte deutsche Küche erleben und genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Mein Mann und ich waren am Wochenende spontan im Hotel Traube essen und sind rundum begeistert. Obwohl wir keine Reservierung hatten, wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und das Servicepersonal hat sich sofort darum bemüht, uns einen schönen Platz zu ermöglichen. Die Bedienung war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts äußerst aufmerksam, herzlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Salat: Er war sehr üppig, mit vielen frischen und abwechslungsreichen Zutaten angerichtet und sowohl optisch als auch geschmacklich ein echtes Highlight. Man hat sofort gemerkt, dass hier Wert auf Qualität und Liebe zum Detail gelegt wird. Auch die Sommer-Cocktails, insbesondere der Solero Spritz, waren hervorragend und haben das Essen perfekt abgerundet. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder. Das Essen und das Bier ist hier wirklich sehr gut. Jedoch als wir an einem Sonntag um kurz vor 20.30 Uhr noch einen Nachtisch bestellen wollen, wurde uns gesagt, dass die Küche bereits geschlossen hat und wir keinen Nachtisch mehr bekommen können. Das hat die gute Stimmung etwas getrübt. Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen.

Waren seit langem mal wieder in der Traube in Nidda. Und wir fanden es ausgezeichnet. Schneller, netter Service. Angenehmes Ambiente. Die Portionen riesig und total lecker. Ich habe meinen großen Salatteller nicht geschafft, musste noch meinem Mann viel abgeben. Er war aber sehr, sehr gut. Knackig frisch,knusprige Croutons,von jedem was drauf und das Dressing top. Keine Joghurt Pampe. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Hotel kann ich nicht beurteilen, haben dort nur gegessen.

Ich gehe wirklich gern in dieses gutbürgerliche Restaurant und war bisher jedes Mal zufrieden. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam, man fühlt sich einfach willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Das Essen hat mich bisher immer überzeugt. Für meinen Geschmack passt das alles, ehrlich, lecker und ohne Schnickschnack. Was ich besonders mag, ist die Atmosphäre. Gerade im Sommer draußen zu sitzen und auf den Marktplatz von Nidda zu schauen, hat einfach was und lädt dazu ein, länger zu bleiben. Übernachtet habe ich dort noch nicht, deshalb kann und möchte ich die Zimmer nicht bewerten. Für mich ist es ein Ort, zu dem ich immer wieder gern zurückkomme. Ich hoffe wirklich, dass es das Restaurant in Nidda noch lange gibt. Die Traube hat es offensichtlich auch nicht nötig Bewertungen wegen angeblicher Diffamierung löschen zu lassen, nicht wie einige Marktbegleiter in Nidda - das macht die Traube für mich nur noch sympathischer!

Sehr schönes gemütliches Restaurant. Essen war sehr gut und schön angerichtet. Uns hat es super gut geschmeckt. Auch das selbst gebraute Bier war sehr gut. Freundliches, flottes Service Personal. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder. Waren hier nur zum Essen, daher keine Bewertung für das Hotel.

Das Ambiente ist stimmig und passt gut zum Konzept des Hauses. Wer auf der Suche nach guter Hausmannskost ist, die man heutzutage leider immer seltener findet, wird hier definitiv fündig. Die Bedienung war trotz voller Auslastung flott und freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt: große Portionen und geschmacklich lecker. Ein kleiner Hinweis: Wer das Rotkohl zur Roulade lieber ohne Sauce mag, sollte es besser separat bestellen. Beim Hähnchenschnitzel wäre ein Dip oder eine kleine Sauce wünschenswert gewesen, da es etwas trocken war. Alles in allem war es  ein gelungener Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es ist sehr enttäuschend und frech , das ein Schnitzel 21 Euro kostet und auf dem Teller liegt ein TK Fertig Schnitzel welches aussieht wie gepresste Pappe . Ein absolutes No Go !!!!! Bei diesem Preis sollte man meinen das man noch traditionell ein Schnitzel klopfen und panieren kann !

Sehr schöne, alt eingesessene Kneipe in Nidda in einem historischen Gebäude. Das Ambiente ist wirklich toll – besonders die Theke mit dem Braukessel direkt im Gastraum sorgt für eine besondere Atmosphäre. Der Service war durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam, insgesamt auch sehr flott. Ein kleiner Punkt: Leere Gläser wurden nicht immer abgeräumt, wenn neue Getränke gebracht wurden. Da ist noch etwas Luft nach oben, schmälert den Gesamteindruck aber kaum. Das Essen war einfach der Wahnsinn. Wir hatten Spareribs mit selbstgebrautem Hellem, Schnitzel und einen richtig tollen Salat. Alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Das Fleisch der Spareribs fiel förmlich von den Knochen, war knusprig und perfekt gewürzt. Auch das Schnitzel war sehr lecker, und der große Salat mit Hühnchenstreifen war frisch, üppig und einfach nur zum Reinlegen. Das hausgebraute Bier war ebenfalls sehr lecker und schön süffig. Insgesamt ein großartiger Besuch – wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

We visited the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. They served a delicious salad as a side dish and excellent schnitzel with authentic fried potatoes. The price of around €20 was quite reasonable considering the quality and preparation. We would gladly return.

I'm from Thailand and wanted to book a room for myself by phone at the beginning of December 2025 for January 11th to 16th, 2026. An employee rather rudely told me that I could have a double room for the same price as a single room, but that I should make a reservation by email. I made the reservation that same day. Since I hadn't received a response four days later, I sent another email inquiring about availability. Again, I received no reply. I called again to ask if no one was responding to written inquiries and whether I would be able to get a reservation. I was then quite rudely told that they didn't have all day to read emails and that the hotel was fully booked, and that I could find a room elsewhere. It seems to me as if the hotel no longer wants any overnight guests. That's not what professionalism looks like, and I can spend my money elsewhere. My wife and I will be visiting Germany more often in the future, but we will be giving the Hotel "Zur Traube" a wide berth.

We didn't book a room, we were only there for dinner, so we can't comment on that. The food was excellent, the service very attentive and quick, and the value for money was great. It's best to make a reservation, as it's very popular. The menu is concise but sufficient, and even the children's portions are very generous! All in all, I highly recommend it. There's no cocktail menu, and everything was prepared with great care.

The food is extremely delicious, the portions are sometimes enormous, and they have a wonderful selection of homemade beers. The service is very friendly and efficient. Parking isn't ideal, and it can get quite noisy at times – but the food more than makes up for it, and you'll definitely get your money's worth.

We had a Christmas party with 10 people at the restaurant today. First, it took a very long time for someone to come and take our drink order. The food wasn't bad, to be honest. However, the entire place smelled strongly of sewage. It was truly disgusting. Guests at another table had to open their windows because it was so unpleasant. Suddenly, we were asked what else we wanted to drink, as this was supposedly "last call." We had barely finished half our last drinks when, without being asked, the server appeared at our table and demanded payment. This was quite simply a case of being kicked out. Our receipt, which we had requested, was forgotten. In the future, we will choose other restaurants. We did not book the rooms and therefore cannot comment on them.

We are regular customers at this restaurant and I can't understand the negative review. No matter when or how we go, the service is always excellent, and the food has been consistently good over the years. The owner has always been very friendly and approachable. We will gladly return.

Disrespectful and aggressive owner – completely unacceptable. I tried eight times to call the restaurant to pre-order a pork knuckle, as indicated on their website. No one answered. When I complained in person, the owner reacted with extreme disrespect, rudeness, and at times aggression. Instead of taking responsibility or offering a solution, he only made excuses and spoke in a completely unprofessional manner. This behavior was simply unacceptable for a planned family meal. We were ultimately asked to leave – not because of any wrongdoing on our part, but because we had complained about the lack of availability. An unpleasant and disconcerting experience. This kind of treatment of guests is absolutely unacceptable.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and ate at the restaurant twice. We cannot confirm the negative reviews. The food was excellent, the value for money was absolutely fair, and the service was friendly and very attentive. A particularly nice touch: the Christmas market right outside the door. We wholeheartedly recommend the Traube. Five stars! But everyone should see for themselves.

I agree with the other negative reviews for the "Zur Traube" restaurant. One star is far too much for this owner and this place. We were publicly attacked, insulted, and harassed by the owner in front of other guests. This was because we had complained to him that no one was answering the phone or that the phone was being hung up on us when we wanted to pre-order the pork knuckles, as recommended on their website. We had no way of knowing that the owner is a rude, good-for-nothing, and wannabe. That's how the situation escalated. My conclusion: steer clear of this restaurant if you want to eat in peace. He doesn't deserve the title of innkeeper. And he never will. I will also avoid the town of Nidda in the future. Not a single cent, not a single recommendation, not a single good word from me will ever find its way there.

The food was very good and Enrico was very accommodating. Many thanks for his friendly and attentive service; 5 stars for that. Now comes the real problem, hence only one star! The older gentleman behind the counter was impossible! He yelled at his young employee in front of the guests and berated him. Two other guests were practically thrown out, even though they had been shown to the counter by an employee beforehand. Stress or not, this is definitely not how you manage staff.

Nice inn. We were there on a weekday evening, and it was empty. The beer tastes great, but the food wasn't so good. The "Handkäse mit Musik" (a type of German cheese) was sweetened with vinegar; you'd get arrested for that in Frankfurt. The liver dumpling soup was very bland. There are better restaurants.

My parents (both over 70) and I spontaneously decided to have lunch at the Zur Traube restaurant. We know the place, its sometimes peculiar atmosphere, and didn't go in expecting a smile. Unfortunately, we didn't even get to the point of ordering. Upon entering, we noticed an empty round table that we had used several times before. When we asked if we could sit there, the young waitress responded rudely and, without any apparent reason, told us to sit at the much larger regulars' table in the middle of the noisy room. When my father asked why this was necessary, the answer was: "You have the choice to leave." Such a disrespectful remark towards guests, especially seniors, left all three of us speechless. When I addressed this unnecessary rudeness, the tone became harsh, and the waitress at the bar didn't try to mediate, but instead said: "You have just decided to leave. We have the right to decide who eats here." We were astonished that the waiters' once friendly and cordial manner has now deteriorated into outright disrespect. This is unacceptable. I refer you to other critical comments in the reviews here. This increasingly appalling behavior is enough to put anyone off their food.

It used to be great, then really bad, and now it's great again. Very good food at a good price. Friendly and attentive service. The only downside was the hard bread rolls with the salad. But we'll be coming back more often now. Thanks for the lovely evening. We'll be back again in November 2025, as we have been so often in the last two years, and it was fantastic again. Great service. Great food, plentiful portions at fair prices. Keep it up, this is the kind of place we love to eat.

We went to dinner with a small group. Aside from the very high prices, the quality of the food was rather subpar. I had a meatloaf that tasted only of pepper, the onions were like chewing gum, and the fried potatoes were dry and tasted like they'd been reheated. The majority of the group also found their dishes to be only average. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and wouldn't go there again.

Rooms cannot be rated. The location in the heart of Nidda is great. Service is inflexible and stubborn. Be careful with group reservations: the pre-reserved daily menu doesn't allow for any exceptions. As delicious as the individual menus are (and I've been looking forward to the Handkäs for days), a repeat visit is out of the question for us.

I went there with my family for dinner today, so I can't comment on the rooms themselves. The ambiance is lovely, especially the main room, with a view of two beautiful, large copper kettles. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food arrived relatively quickly. The pictures definitely don't do it justice—I'm a big eater, but my spare ribs could easily have fed two or even three people! The meat was absolutely fantastic, so tender the bones fell off, with a honey BBQ glaze. The fries were crispy, not too hard, not too soft. The coleslaw, which was full-bodied and promised to be "the best in the Wetterau," lived up to its promise—excellent, very good coleslaw. The garlic dip was also very good, with a subtle garlic flavor, not too strong, perfectly complementing the meat. The schnitzels my companions ate also looked very good. The only minor criticism was a slightly bland salad dressing, which I can't comment on, as the coleslaw was perfectly seasoned and juicy. Absolutely reasonable prices for the portion size – you can practically always take some home with you – the plates at the next table were so full that the "take-out boxes" already laid out on one table made perfect sense. We'll definitely be back.

Two of us went there for dinner on a Thursday. The atmosphere was great and pleasant. Not the usual stylish, fancy place, but rather genuine German hospitality – very cozy. We had the spare ribs (Thursday special) and the meatloaf deluxe. Both were incredibly delicious. Huge portions, worth every cent. Very friendly service, and no long wait for the food. The food was pleasantly served piping hot – something unheard of in restaurants these days. All in all, a highly recommended place if you want to enjoy a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere. A little tip: make sure you're very hungry, because the portions are generous.

If you want a juicy, delicious schnitzel, you should go to the Traube. One of the best schnitzels (with creamy mushrooms). There were five of us. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the portions were quite generous. Even the side salad was very fresh and enormous. Please come hungry... it's definitely worth a visit.

Due to the subsequent private review, my upcoming reservation was canceled, I was banned from the premises, and a complaint was filed against me to my company. Furthermore, attempts were made to intimidate me on the phone, and my background was described as "the darkest part of the country." Here's the review: "Just before 7:00, all the tables outside were being cleared, even though the umbrellas are waterproof. However, the waitress didn't want to walk through the light rain (her words), and therefore we weren't served outside. The distance is about 5 meters, as can be seen in the picture. Sad, that kind of thing."

We were all very pleased with the hospitality and the ambiance. Food, service, and hospitality – top-notch, plenty of staff, cheerful, and accommodating – keep up the good work! A fantastic microbrewery and outstanding house beer!

A first-class location, super friendly staff, and reasonably priced, delicious food. I was able to park my motorcycle right in the courtyard. The owner's exact words: "So nothing happens to your moped." It couldn't be better. And in the morning, in addition to friendly service, there was a hearty breakfast. I'd be happy to go back.

We stayed there with a group, unfortunately on a rest day, so we couldn't try the food. The owner was really nice and treated us to his home-brewed beer upon arrival. Breakfast was served at a bakery near the hotel. The town itself doesn't have much to offer, and the restaurant selection isn't that great either, but it was perfectly adequate for us as a stopover. The "Brauhausschnitzel Special" was fantastic! Prompt and very friendly service! I'd definitely go back! Addendum: My wife was there again yesterday with two friends, in the beer garden at lunchtime. The service was very unfriendly and rude. The food was once again very tasty and very filling. But my wife reports that the service was 0.0. Hence, a slight downgrade... Unfortunately...

Gasthof-Brauerei Hotel Zur Traube – Really good food, fair price, great service We dined at the Gasthof "Zur Traube" – we didn't stay overnight, but it was an all-around successful restaurant visit! The cuisine impresses with classic, home-style cooking, regional specialties, and a pleasantly down-to-earth selection. Everything was served promptly, freshly prepared, and tasted absolutely amazing. We particularly appreciated the excellent value for money – you get a lot for your money here without having to compromise on quality or portion size. Special requests were also accommodated in a friendly and uncomplicated manner. The service was attentive, warm, and professional without being intrusive. You feel truly welcome as a guest. The atmosphere in the inn is rustic and cozy with a touch of brewery flair – ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner. Conclusion: If you're looking for good food in the area – fast, delicious, and at fair prices – this is the place for you. We'd be happy to come back!

Brauhausschnitzel deluxe! One of the best schnitzels I've ever eaten. Huge portion and incredibly deliciously seasoned. The sauce was amazing! (The huge salad was "just" the side salad. This won't be the last time we're here!

I didn't stay at the hotel. The restaurant is good. The food (German cuisine) is good and plentiful 😊 The service is, as is often the case... It depends on who's serving. But it's never bad. The beer garden is right on the market square. It gets quite loud inside when it's full.

Bier super. Alle Gerichte mit Fleisch sind zu empfehlen. Portionen ordentlich. Wir haben vor unserem Theaterbesuch leider einen handkäs bestellt. Der war leider unterirdisch. Nicht eingelegt und mit dressing übergossen. Der käse war nicht durchgereift und eiskalt aus dem Kühlfach geholt. Von einer gasthofbrauerei in Hessen darf man da mehr erwarten. Die Portion zu 9€ zudem sehr teuer. Nach unserer Beschwerde gab es kein kulantes verhalten und die Situation eines unzufriedenen gastes, wurde so hingenommen.

Went there for schnitzel yesterday. Unfortunately, my schnitzel was inedible, and when I mentioned it to the waitress, all I was told was "the schnitzel has been out several times today and no one has complained." Very, very weak, you would get better service at any kebab snack bar.

We went here for dinner on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. The ambience is rustic and quaint. The service is extremely friendly, very attentive and was able to answer questions competently about ingredients in the food (due to intolerances). The food itself is just a delight 👍🏼 fresh and everything prepared to perfection. Even fries no longer had to be added salt. Price-performance is very good, considering the very large portions. In short, we will definitely come here to eat more than once in the future. Keep it up!!!

Attention, attention!!! Here, they'll sell you a meatball as if it were a meatloaf, and of course, they'll charge you accordingly. The very unfriendly waitress pulled a face like it was raining for seven days straight. This is unacceptable!

Our visit to this restaurant was an absolute disaster—an incident that completely failed in terms of hospitality and respect. Upon entering the restaurant, more than seven people (staff and owner) stared at us in a manner bordering on voyeurism and xenophobia. These distorted stares—as if we were alien intruders—are not only unprofessional, but also downright disrespectful and degrading.
