Zur Traube in Nidda

Two of us went there for dinner on a Thursday. The atmosphere was great and pleasant. Not the usual stylish, fancy place, but rather genuine German hospitality – very cozy. We had the spare ribs (Thursday special) and the meatloaf deluxe. Both were incredibly delicious. Huge portions, worth every cent. Very friendly service, and no long wait for the food. The food was pleasantly served piping hot – something unheard of in restaurants these days. All in all, a highly recommended place if you want to enjoy a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere. A little tip: make sure you're very hungry, because the portions are generous.

If you want a juicy, delicious schnitzel, you should go to the Traube. One of the best schnitzels (with creamy mushrooms). There were five of us. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the portions were quite generous. Even the side salad was very fresh and enormous. Please come hungry... it's definitely worth a visit.

Due to the subsequent private review, my upcoming reservation was canceled, I was banned from the premises, and a complaint was filed against me to my company. Furthermore, attempts were made to intimidate me on the phone, and my background was described as "the darkest part of the country." Here's the review: "Just before 7:00, all the tables outside were being cleared, even though the umbrellas are waterproof. However, the waitress didn't want to walk through the light rain (her words), and therefore we weren't served outside. The distance is about 5 meters, as can be seen in the picture. Sad, that kind of thing."

We were all very pleased with the hospitality and the ambiance. Food, service, and hospitality – top-notch, plenty of staff, cheerful, and accommodating – keep up the good work! A fantastic microbrewery and outstanding house beer!

Gasthof-Brauerei Hotel Zur Traube – Really good food, fair price, great service We dined at the Gasthof "Zur Traube" – we didn't stay overnight, but it was an all-around successful restaurant visit! I didn't stay at the hotel. The restaurant is good. The food (German cuisine) is good and plentiful 😊 The service is, as is often the case... It depends on who's serving. But it's never bad. The beer garden is right on the market square. It gets quite loud inside when it's full.

Bier super. Alle Gerichte mit Fleisch sind zu empfehlen. Portionen ordentlich. Wir haben vor unserem Theaterbesuch leider einen handkäs bestellt. Der war leider unterirdisch. Nicht eingelegt und mit dressing übergossen. Der käse war nicht durchgereift und eiskalt aus dem Kühlfach geholt. Von einer gasthofbrauerei in Hessen darf man da mehr erwarten. Die Portion zu 9€ zudem sehr teuer. Nach unserer Beschwerde gab es kein kulantes verhalten und die Situation eines unzufriedenen gastes, wurde so hingenommen.

Went there for schnitzel yesterday. Unfortunately, my schnitzel was inedible, and when I mentioned it to the waitress, all I was told was "the schnitzel has been out several times today and no one has complained." Very, very weak, you would get better service at any kebab snack bar.

We went here for dinner on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. The ambience is rustic and quaint. The service is extremely friendly, very attentive and was able to answer questions competently about ingredients in the food (due to intolerances). The food itself is just a delight 👍🏼 fresh and everything prepared to perfection. Even fries no longer had to be added salt. Price-performance is very good, considering the very large portions. In short, we will definitely come here to eat more than once in the future. Keep it up!!!

Our visit to this restaurant was an absolute disaster—an incident that completely failed in terms of hospitality and respect. Upon entering the restaurant, more than seven people (staff and owner) stared at us in a manner bordering on voyeurism and xenophobia. These distorted stares—as if we were alien intruders—are not only unprofessional, but also downright disrespectful and degrading. But the evening's fiasco didn't end there: The waitresses took the scandal to the extreme. They treated us with outrageous coldness and obvious dislike, without even a hint of a smile or a thank you. Any form of courtesy was lacking—we felt not only unwelcome, but downright insulted and humiliated. I urge the owner to act immediately, hold the employee accountable, and restore the basic principles of customer service and hospitality. Anyone who treats their guests like aliens has no place in today's restaurant industry. I sincerely hope this criticism serves as a wake-up call, because such behavior is absolutely unacceptable in a restaurant.

When it comes to staff, it depends on who you meet, hence 3 stars. Today the waitress was very friendly. Nevertheless, today I quickly had an internal pulse of 180. I was looking forward to the savings ribs and they were available today on December 29th. however not. I was pointed out another card that called itself "winter magic". They could have pointed this out when making the reservation over the phone. This applies between Christmas and New Year and takes even more money out of people's pockets. Because in addition to the usual ones, there were also unusual dishes. The usual dishes that are also on the menu were €3.00 to €3.50 more expensive than usual for no apparent reason. The end of the story was that I "only" decided on an overpriced soup (€7.50) and against a main course. Nevertheless, with two people we came to €40.80. Absurd! I used to enjoy going there, but will now avoid the place for a long time. Pure disappointment, can't understand the rush of people or the money doesn't matter.

We stayed there for the second time. Unfortunately the rooms were not cleaned. I had booked a table for four people that evening. Unfortunately this was not reserved for us, so we were allowed to sit at a table that had already been reserved for 1 hour. / The boss accused me of not having reserved the table and portrayed me as a liar. Immediately after 1 hour we were asked to pay and then leave / There was no time to finish the drink. Three weeks later I had reserved a table for eleven people during the Christmas season. There was no prior communication with me that we were only allowed to occupy this table for 2 hours and then leave it again / Because the table would be reserved again. I didn't like the food at all on my second visit. I ordered a schnitzel, which was very greasy. The staff at the table was very friendly. However, the boss on site was very unfriendly. For me, it's not a place that I can recommend or even visit again!!!!

Egal welches Essen Mann oder Frau sich aus der Karte bestellt, es ist ein wahrer Hochgenuss. Hier wird noch mit richtig Herzblut etwas auf den Teller gezaubert! Die zuletzt gegessenen Spareribbs waren wieder mal gigantisch! Nennenswert ist auch das selbstgebraute Bier. Egal ob Helles, Dunkles oder Weizenbier. Die Portionen sind riesig, Preislich absolut im Rahmen. Das Personal äußerst zuvorkommend und nett. Hier werde ich immer wieder mit großer Vorfreude einkehren.

Wer aber auf seine Speisekarte schreibt, dass man aus „Respekt vor dem Tier“ das Rumpsteak nicht durchbrät, der sollte auch den gleichen Respekt beim restlichen Essen dem Gast gegenüber zeigen. Egal, ob Ente oder Schäufelchen: EINE Sauce für alles! Rotkraut, als Beilage für mehrere Gerichte war Durchschnitt. Mein Schäufelchen war eigentlich übersalzen. Die Zubereitung selbst war sehr gut. Die Schwarte war knusprig, das Fleisch zart.

The food was OK. But if you write on your menu that you don't cook the rump steak out of "respect for the animal", you should also show the guest the same respect for the rest of the meal. No matter whether it's duck or shovel: ONE sauce for everything! Red cabbage, as a side dish for several dishes, was average. My little shovel was actually over salted. The preparation itself was very good. The rind was crispy and the meat was tender.

Today we wanted to spontaneously come to dinner at 5 p.m. with two people and a child. Unfortunately, we were sent away because there was supposedly no more room for us. At this point there were still a lot of tables free and we pointed out that we would definitely leave after an hour, but unfortunately we were refused this. Directly after us, a couple spontaneously came in like us and asked for a place and it worked out immediately. I then asked why this was suddenly happening and unfortunately I was answered rather cheekily that I should take a look at the table. So 4 adults could have sat close together and the 2 of us with an 8 year old could have sat there really well. It's a shame that you're so stiff and not flexible at all. Next time we will definitely make a reservation in advance, but it's still sad that they didn't let us take a seat.

Gutbürgerliche Küche reservieren empfohlen da fast immer voll ist .Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Wir waren 2 mal die woche da und es war immer sehr gut .Die Portionen sind mehr als reichlich man kann auch den Rest mitnehmen oder einen Senioren Teller bestellen. Wir haben unsere Teller nie geschafft. Kann ich auf alle fälle weiterempfehlen. Mit eigne Brauerei und Führung.

Went there for dinner with 4 people on Sunday evening. Conclusion: incredibly tasty, simply amazing. The atmosphere is rustic and very cozy, the staff is nice, accommodating and very, very friendly. As I said, the food was incredibly tasty, the portions were very generous and lovingly prepared. Kudos to the kitchen! The grape is highly recommended in all respects!

Ambience outside is very nice, suitable for cyclists. Last Sunday we didn't get any food outside even though it was outside. We were very rudely told to carry the food out at around 1 p.m. Today, Saturday, we were there at 1:30 p.m. and the waitress swarmed us with the comment: “Unfortunately the food is already empty today, and so early”…. It's a shame because the food (if you get it) is super delicious.

Unfortunately it's like that almost everywhere. Conclusion from me: Highly recommended, even if the drink prices are too high in my opinion. Service and food a full 5 🌟 stars. It is advisable to make a reservation in advance as the grape is very busy. Waiting times are to be expected without a reservation.
