The Linde has been an established location in Anspach for decades, you can hardly be more central. However, the management of this institution has changed many times in recent years and no really convincing concept has been able to establish itself. As a location, the Linde deserves 4 to 5 stars, as I said, it couldn't be more central and the beer garden is definitely among the top 3 in Anspach. The selection of drinks is good and varied. However, there are also some points of criticism and in my opinion they are not exactly minor. It may be that there were problems with the daily routine, but on two visits within three weeks it was the same on both occasions. I would like to mention that my introduction to schnitzel took place in Vienna, so I may be a bit spoiled. So to put it kindly, I would like to say that the schnitzels in the lime tree are filling and are seasoned quite well. However, they are also thick and quite massive, they have nothing to do with the crispy, fine products that I am used to. A cordon bleu that is 3 cm thick is rather unusual. The design of the card also didn't convince me. With the schnitzel, croquettes, fries or rösti are included in the price; if you want fried potatoes, they cost 4.50 extra. A portion of fried potatoes alone also costs 4.50. If you want fried potatoes and are willing to pay 4.50, you should actually get the fries, croquettes or hash browns for free. There's something wrong with the pricing. When it came to the sauces, I suspected that they had been poured onto the schnitzel from some pre-packaged package. I'm assuming that our operation was retrained because the performance wasn't good. At the next table a guest was showered with a full tray. We had already been sitting for half an hour before we were asked what we wanted to drink and at that point we hadn't even received the menu. The division of the inside and outside restoration was not well solved, one had the impression that the tasks were not well and clearly distributed and that many unnecessary paths were taken. I can definitely imagine coming back again to have a beer in the really atmospheric beer garden/inner courtyard, but I won't make a third attempt to eat.

Home cooking. You may be able to eat well there, but if you try something daring, a dish (veal schnitzel with chanterelles and herb sauce = 31.00 euros) that can be found in a higher price range, you will be completely disappointed. Veal schnitzel thinly pounded and coated with thick breading. Plus it's fried! You can immediately see that the kitchen is not run by a chef but by a snack bar employee. Short and painless, price-performance ratio not met.

Price-performance ratio not okay. Fried potatoes are way too expensive and the portion is way too small. I had to eat my fill at home first.

I was charged 11.80 euros for a side dish of green sauce with the fried potatoes. When asked, they said, “Supplements cannot be ordered individually.” Outrageous and completely overpriced for the dish

The meat was great, the filling was great and the sauce on the toast was unfortunately very salty. The service was great and even the chef always checked in

I love old-established restaurants. Very cozy and rustic. There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children. The young waitress was very friendly and accommodating. For example, the required children's chair was immediately procured and specially cleaned. Even if food or drinks were no longer available, information or alternatives were offered directly. The boss also came to our table personally to inquire about our well-being. Very pleasing 😄 We had fish fingers, sea bream, Viennese style schnitzel, rump steak and the Linde Cordon Bleu. Everything was great and sufficient. Except croquettes could have been 2-3 more. Thank you.

Food was very tasty! German cuisine. The service was nice, but unfortunately we didn't ask for more drinks. It could be improved. Otherwise we were very satisfied and will definitely come back. The portions were so small and at a price that would make your ears flap, 17.50 for a schnitzel with hunter's sauce, plus there were 4 mini potato rösti... the side salad costs extra, and we also have one each for the kids Ordered marrow dumpling soup and it was okay, the only strange thing was that my hunter's sauce tasted like marrow dumpling soup,... all in all I wouldn't go here again. I wish the owner much success

We had a really good meal there. I had cheese spaetzle, my husband had pork schnitzel. Afterwards, apple strudel and tartufo for dessert, all tasty. The boss also comes to the table personally, very nice. Only the young waitress seems a bit undermotivated - if the customer has a question, it's okay if you don't know the answer, but it's best to check. All in all, we were happy customers and if we travel to Neu-Anspach again, we would be happy to come back to Zur Linde.

Very good food. The rump steak was a dream. I haven't had such a good steak in a long time.

The food was great but the furniture and decoration is not great. Nothing really fits together and the waitresses simply can't do their job. Neither when serving nor when keeping orders or counting money. A pity.

Freundliche Begrüßung und Service. Kurze Wartezeit. Das Frankfurter Schnitzel war knusprig paniert und perfekt zubereitet, und die Portion war großzügig bemessen, inklusive der grünen Sauce. Das Bolognese Schnitzel war ebenfalls sehr reichhaltig und schmeckte hervorragend. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder.

Wir sind sehr gern zu gast in dieser Lokalität das essen ist top, Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Ich warte wirklich ewig aufs Essen. Wir sitzen zu zehnt draußen, haben zwei Tische von acht Tischen besetz. Das Ambiente ist super, aber die Küche ist wohl maßlos überfordert. Das Essen war sehr lecker.

Wir waren das 2. Mal in dem super schönen Biergarten. Genau so geht man, "mal eben" was essen. Die Bedienung hatte sichtlich viel zu tun-entschuldigte sich zweimal bei uns. Für uns vollkommen ok. Dennoch kam das Essen schnell. Das Essen ist gut bürgerliche Küche. Schmackhaft und Preis-Leistung stimmt. Der Biergarten war auf einen Sonntag Abend voll-das wünscht man den Gastronomen doch!

Sehr leckeres Essen da gibt's nix zu meckern Preise sind gesalzen wie überall heute dennoch für ein Cordon bleu 25 Euro mit Beilagen ist stramm.

Tja was soll man sagen, wir waren ungezählte Male schon in der Linde essen. So schlecht wie gestern am 04.06.2023 war es allerdings noch nie. Der extra bestellte Beilagensalat war gar nicht gewürzt, ohne Dressing, er schwamm einfach in Öl. Die Tagliatelle mit grünem Pesto waren fad und die Tagliatelle waren noch hart, es war kaum möglich Sie zu kauen. Außerdem waren sie fast kalt. Die Markklößchensuppe als Vorspeise war nur lauwarm und auch nicht gewürzt. Das hessische Coron Blue war sehr dunkel gebraten, die Beilage Rösties waren hart und trocken. Alles wurde ohne Soße serviert. Das wars fürs Erste, wir machen eine lange bis ewige Pause.

Tolles Lokal mit super netter Bedienung und leckerem Essen, was leider nicht zu schaffen war. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Alles frisch zubereitete klassische Speisen. Absolut kein Convenience Food, Der Chef persönlich steht am Herd und erkundigt sich bei seinen Gästen ob alles wie gewünscht ist. Bestes Schnitzel seit Jahrzehnten gegessen.

War gemütlich und das Essen gut, vor allem die Grüne Soße

Durch Zufall hergekommen- werden mit Absicht wiederkommen! Wir sind mit 4 Personen ohne Reservierung erschienen. Eine sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Dame begrüßte uns gleich am Eingang und führte uns (Ehepaar mit erwachsener Tochter und Freundin) an einem sauberen und schönen Sitzplatz. Auf Sonderwünsche zu unserer Bestellung sofort eingegangen und in der Küche gekonnt umgesetzt. Der Chef bediente uns persönlich bei der „Essensübergabe“. Fehlende Salz- und Pfefferstreuer auf dem Tisch zeugen von einem selbstbewussten Kücheteam. Die Speisen sind schmackhaft gewürzt, frisch zubereitet und die Teller sind gut gefüllt. In Allem, ein tolle Neuentdeckung, wo Service, Qualität in der Küche, Preis und Ambiente absolut stimmig ist.

Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker! Wir gehen sehr gerne zur Linde.

Spitzenqualität! Schade, dass nur 5 Sterne verliehen werden können, weil 10 wären verdient. Schnitzel und Filetkotelette butterzart, Rumpsteak und Filet a point. Einfach Weltklasse!!!

2tes Mal dort gewesen. Das beste waren die Pommes 👍Schnitzel war wieder etwas zäh und die Champion Sauce ..... nunja ..... geschmacklich nicht der Burner. Der Beilagen Salat...... er kostet extra !!!!!! Leider war dem Koch der Essig ausgerutscht....

Lecker Essen kommen bestimmt wieder

Wir waren heute Abend erstmals in der Linde zum Essen. Der erste Eindruck der Inneneinrichtung war nicht einladend, d.h. hier könnte einiges erneuert / verändert werden. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bei den Preisen für die Speisen war auffällig, dass alle Beilagen extra berechnet werden und teilweise überteuert sind( Zwiebel für 5,50 Euro!!!!!). Die Quantität der Portionen ist sehr gut, die Qualität durchschnittlich, denn z.B. ein Schnitzel gehört in der Pfanne gebraten und hat nichts in der Fritteuse verloren. Also alles in allem gibt es im " Usinger Land" empfehlenswertere Restaurants.

Came back there after a while and guess what. The owner changed again so I thought let's give it a try. And I wasn't disappointing at all. The selection of drinks has changed and is much better now. They have lovely local beer choices as well as other beers on tap from Germany. They even have Hop House 13 which is quite rare for this region. The food was outstanding. Great local food. The quality was exceptional. From Schnitzel to other German classics. Everything was really good. Service was outstanding as well. There were two young girls serving. They have been so attentive and friendly. Overall a great experience and I definitely will be back to see if they can keep up the high standard. Some locals say it is quite pricey. Me living in London can say quality has its price. However I didn't find it expensive at all. Go there! Must!

This place had both and indoor and outdoor seating. We sat in the outdoor area and it was very quiet with just a few people eating. This was great food to include port snitzel with pepper sauce, as well as other sauces, potatoes, great German salads, and plenty of Beer. This was an excellent place to chill and eat some great food.
