The waiter was in a great mood and up for a joke, but unfortunately he couldn't distinguish between seriousness and fun. As always, I ate vegetarian: the veggie cheeseburger with fries. The fries were great – well done, appropriately sized and well salted. The burger looked good too. However, the portion for 18.50 euros was rather modest, and mayo and ketchup were served in simple run-of-the-mill sachets. What I really liked: The drinks were brought to the table in glass bottles (0.4 l) together with a clean glass and a slice of lemon. Unfortunately, the burger itself was a failure. Although it looked fantastic, the bun was a disappointment. The bottom was extremely thin, mushy and seemed underbaked - almost like raw dough. Unfortunately, that completely ruined the burger. When I asked the friendly and funny waiter about it, he just gave me two extra napkins and left. What should be highlighted positively is that the table was cleared in a timely manner, additional drinks were offered and savory pastries were even put on the table. The atmosphere is great: very cozy and inviting. Overall I felt very comfortable.

Delicious food, beautifully located

We went there for breakfast and we definitely don't recommend it. Cheapest product, eggs completely boiled to death and you don't get a spoon or salt with them or you aren't asked. For the price, you can definitely get a better breakfast somewhere else! No recommendation.

If you definitely don't want what's on the menu, this is the right place to eat. We waited over an hour for our food. The service wasn't there again to ask for more drinks. The dish I ordered did not consist in any way of the ingredients that were on the menu. The side salad for the child's face was not served on the grounds that it was too expensive, even though it was on the menu, and another garnish was to be found. I was very annoyed. Never again!!!

Today, after a long time, we went to the old upholstery shop for breakfast again. We had the Rotenburger breakfast. When we asked if we could get a coffee instead of a lattemachiato, we were told that there was only that with the lattemachiato. It's really slowed down. The scrambled eggs I couldn't eat were strange and sweet, and had a lot of liquid in them as if they were cooked in milk. We weren't asked whether we wanted fried eggs or scrambled eggs. It was really carelessly presented on the plate. Packaged jam, honey, Nutella. The 2 slices of cooked ham were placed on 2 lettuce leaves. No longer recommended.

When I entered this establishment last week to spend a few nice hours with a few friends, I had no idea that I would ultimately have to wait over an hour for the food, which was of absolutely no quality despite the lousy high price. The dishes were dirty and there were spider webs on the lamps. Out of 6 people, 0 ended up enjoying their food or AT LEAST eating it completely. A real disappointment, if there was the option to give 0 stars, I would jump at the chance. LG a disappointed customer.

Were there to eat and drink. Nice atmosphere on the market square. Steak was very tough and impossible to eat. Fries not good either. Not worth a star. The Caipirinha for 9 EUR contained a(!) small slice of lime, some syrup and white table sugar. Unfortunately, Aperol Spritz also tasted like something cheap.

Today we had the pleasure of eating in the old upholstery shop. The schnitzel was very tasty and the fries were on point (nice and crispy and well salted). The conditions were very friendly and even our dog got his own drinking bowl. Price performance was completely ok. We'd love to come back.

Can't say anything about the food since I got no menu. Asked for a drink inside and was sent out by staff with the comment that somebody will come and take my order. I hate eating outside, but I went outside. I got my drink, but no question if I wanted some food from the waitress... Left after paying the drink and don't plan to come back.

Alles steht und fällt mit der Bedienung. Eine männliche service kraft bediente uns,sagen wir mal ,äusserst sachlich. Ein gemisch aus ,keine Lust und emotionslos. Ich hatte einen Burger ..der bacon war hellrot und nicht knusprig. Die Röstzwiebeln aus dem becher. Der Flammkuchen war ok obwohl auch hier mit Fertigprodukten gearbeitet wurde. Vieleicht lag es daran das Sonntag war. Ps.: die weiblichen kräfte waren wesentlich freundlicher und das ambiente war gut sonst gäbe es von uns nur 2 Sterne

Absolutely in the middle of nowhere, we waited 1½ hours for food. The shop doesn't know how to help itself as soon as some tables are occupied. Then of course there are also employees who sit down and have a leisurely drink while they should have been doing other things. Absolute rubbish service, never experienced before. And then to charge around €30 for a meal... absolute impudence.

Once and never again!!! We were actually looking forward to a delicious burger and were extremely disappointed. We ordered a chili cheese burger for €14.50, a double cheese bacon burger for €15.90 and a portion of fries for €4.50. Lt. Card with lots of ingredients. After the burgers were served and we started eating, we discovered that half of the sumptuous ingredients were missing. That is, the Chili Cheese Burger was missing jalapenos, fried onions and cream cheese and the Double Cheese Bacon Burger was missing the bacon, fried onions and pickled cucumbers. As the name suggests, a bacon burger should also have bacon. The burgers were rubbery frozen patties and the portion of fries was extremely small for €4.50. We told the waiter that we were missing a few ingredients on the burgers, such as the bacon or the fried onions. The waitress then said “I’ll ask in the kitchen” and disappeared. After about 15 minutes and without an apology or comment, the waitress put a few fried onions and bacon on the table. Apparently they are trying to increase the profit margins of the already expensive burgers by leaving out ingredients. You don't win customers that way.

Were there for the first time. The breakfast was simply brilliant, a breakfast to enjoy. Price, performance and service unbeatable. When we are back in my old home, we will definitely go to the "Alte Polsterei" again......

Disappointing and loveless, unfortunately it has worn off a lot We would have expected much more for a cheese breakfast for 15.90 euros. The advertised cream cheese wasn't any, but disgusting processed cheese in a mini plastic container, and the jam was also in 2 plastic containers similar to hospital food. There were also 2 slices of 0/8/15 cheese and 2 slices of Camenbert. The plates were carelessly decorated with 2 leaves of lettuce, no tomatoes, cucumbers, grapes or anything similar, so that the breakfast was very dry overall, because there wasn't enough butter either. Although the store was almost empty, no waitress came to ask if anything was missing. The 2 rolls and the croissant were good and fresh, but unfortunately that was about it as a positive because the coffee had to be ordered separately. For a breakfast that costs over 20 euros, the amount delivered is disproportionate and unfortunately we will no longer go there or recommend it to others. For what was offered, a price under 10 euros would be justified, plus coffee. It's a shame, but I'm not prepared to pay over 20 euros for such a loveless breakfast. Other cafés in Rotenburg offer much more appealing breakfasts, at cheaper prices with courteous service.

I ate a chicken salad there today for a whopping 15.90: no cherry tomatoes, no rocket, no parmesan... The chicken breast came from the package and the ready-made dressing from the bucket. Plus two slices of completely dry baguette. Never again!

We’re used to good London restaurants so coming across this place was a great surprise. Had a fabulous dinner with fresh local white asparagus and some lovely Dornfelder wine. Great service, great value. Highly recommend!

The prioritization of operation is incomprehensible to me. She would rather serve the drinks replenishment than first take orders and pass them on to the kitchen, because the kitchen definitely didn't have any food to prepare at the moment. A restaurant opposite has now closed and is no longer a competitor, but the upholstery shop is unable to take advantage of this situation. I am very disappointed.

We had breakfast with a group between the years. First of all: the breakfast was - as in the past - very, very tasty. However, we had to wait 1.5 hours for breakfast. I really understand if it takes longer. However, if you have to wait almost 40 minutes until the first drink is on the table and then there isn't even an apology when breakfast is served, I don't find that very service-oriented. It was very crowded that day, and I would generally use that as an excuse! However, you should generally think about not taking on so many tables if you can't handle it. It's a shame it turned out this way.

I don't normally write reviews, but I haven't had a schnitzel as good as this for a very long time. The chef knows his craft. Top. The service is nice and despite the full house and a lot of walking, there is a good mood and a funny saying. The prices are moderate, the beer is good. Really recommended.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und kam heiß an den Tisch. Das Lokal war gut besucht und trotzdem ging es mit dem Essen schnell. Nur auf das erste Getränk mussten wir etwas warten aber das war bei dem Betrieb zu verzeihen

Nie wieder. Unfreundlich trotz leerem Laden. Auf Nachfrage warum so unfreundlich gab es noch mehr patzige und genervte Antworten. Verstehe ich nicht weshalb man es sich so verscherzt. Ein Hinweis auf eine Feier o.ä. gab es nicht, stattdessen nur bin allein. Versucht es bitte mit Nettigkeiten, dass wäre echt eurem Anspruch und vergangener schöner Erfahrungen angemessen. Als Tip ... das Café beim VR Bankverein in Bebra... das war eine ganz andere Liga.

Waren gestern zum frühstücken da. Das Essen war lecker, die Räumlichkeiten sind ansprechend und sauber. Leider haben wir, trotz Reservierung, fast eine Stunde auf das Frühstück gewartet. Die Bedienung (älterer Herr) war außerdem sehr unfreundlich. Service sieht anders aus...... P.S. Der Tisch nebenan kam später, hat jedoch vor uns das Frühstück bekommen!

Wir waren am selben Tag zweimal da, zum Mittag und Abends zum Absacker. Es hat uns sehr gefallen. Essen war gut und Abends die Cocktails hatten es in sich. Perfekt.

Wir waren in dieser Woche 2x hier. Einmal zum Burger-Abend und einmal zum Cocktail-Abend. Die Burger waren Weltklasse mit einer ordentlichen Portion Pommes. Das Schmandschnitzel (wir hatten es als Hähnchenschnitzel) wurde ebenfalls mit Pommes serviert. Auch hier waren wir begeistert. Die Cocktails (wir sind beim Cuba Libre geblieben) waren in einem passenden Verhältnis gemischt und haben den guten Eindruck abgerundet. Sollten wir mal wieder in der Nähe sein, werden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Düstere Atmosphäre. Burger ohne Pommes nicht möglich. Ofenkartoffel wurde nicht wie auf der Speicherkarte beschrieben serviert.

Wir waren zum Frühstücks-Buffet in der alten Polsterei. Es war alles sehr lecker und und es hat uns gefallen. Preis-Leistung stimmt auch. Gerne wieder.

Ein gemütliches, tolles Restaurant! Sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung, ganz besonders auch kinderfreundlich. Auf Essen und Getränke mussten wir nicht lange warten. Es wurden auf Sonderwünsche eingegangen. Preis- Leistung stimmt beim Frühstücksbuffet leider nicht. Kaffeetassen waren dreckig. Nachschub von Tellern am Buffet war sehr schleppend. Personal war selten zu sehen.

Leider sehr enttäuscht Der Salat wurde fast ohne Dressing serviert . Wurde zwar auf Nachfrage nachgeliefert, aber Preis/Leistung nicht in Ordnung. Salat mit viel grünem Salat, Gurken,Tomaten und 2 kleinen Stücken Hähnchenbrust für € 15,90. Das Schnitzel mit Champignon- Rahmsoße fast ohne Soße. Die, die auf dem Teller war, sehr wässrig. Alles kaum gewürzt. Als dann die Rechnung kam - € 5,20 für eine Apfelschorle!!!! Unglaublich. Wir waren schon oft da, immer lecker. Wir kommen nicht wieder. Sehr schade. Personal war nett und hilfsbereit.

Nichts zu bemängeln, kann sein, dass man zurzeit länger auf sein Essen warten muss, da sie leider zurzeit nur einen Koch haben, aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall

Wie sind immer wieder begeistert. Das Essen schmeckt super lecker, die Portionen sind so groß, dass man sie manchmal gar nicht schafft. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und fleißig. Wir haben unsere Konfirmation mit über 30 Personen hier gefeiert. Die Tische waren ganz liebevoll und großartig dekoriert, da Essen war toll, und auch der Service hat mit 30+ Essen gleichzeitig gut gepasst, sodass keiner allzulange warten musste und niemand vergessen wurde. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und waren sehr zufrieden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir wollten dort essen. Da innen ziemlich viel los war, fragten wir, ob wir noch draußen sitzen dürfen. Dies wurde sehr freundlich bejaht. Leider wurden wir vergessen und sind nach 15 Minuten gegangen. Schade.

Wir haben in diesem Restaurant reserviert, weil wir in Rotenburg zu Besuch waren und uns die Karte angesprochen hat. Im Vorfeld fiel jedoch schon auf, dass Allergene völlig falsch in der Karte deklariert sind. Wir gaben dem Restaurant dennoch eine Chance, weil die Deklaration ja ein Fehler sein könnte und sich das Personal bestimmt auskennt. Das Restaurant hat wirklich ein sehr schönes und gemütliches Ambiente und wirkt sehr sauber und freundlich. Da ich eine Glutenintoleranz habe, wollte ich meinen Burger „brotlos“ bestellen. Der Keller lehnte dies sofort ab und gab mir zu verstehen, dass „sowas hier nicht gemacht wird“. Darüber war ich doch sehr verwundert, da ich woanders nie Probleme hatte einen brotlosen Burger zu bestellen - im Gegenteil. Also blieb mir nicht anderes übrig als mich für ein anderes Gericht zu entscheiden und so wählte ich den Fitnesssalat mit Hähnchenbrust, Ofenkartoffel und Schmand. Da das Gericht als „glutenhaltig“ deklariert war, fragte ich nach welche Zutat dies betraf. Der Kellner konnte mir dies nicht beantworten und fragte den Koch. Daraufhin wurde mir erzählt, dass in der Kartoffel und im Schmand Gluten ist. Man hört ja wirklich viel kurioses, aber das war auch für mich ein neues Level. Nachdem der Kellner und der Koch dann nach eigener Aussage noch zur Sicherheit Google befragt haben, bekam ich meinen Salat letztendlich ohne Hähnchenbrust, Käsewürfeln und roten Zwiebeln zum vollen Preis. Immerhin hat mein spärliches Essen dann geschmeckt. Irritierend war für mich, dass bspw. Gerichte wie Schnitzel oder Nudeln als glutenfrei in der Karte ausgewiesen werden. Für mich und für jeden anderen mit einer Allergie oder Unverträglichkeit sind diese falschen Angaben in der Speisekarte mit sehr negativen gesundheitlichen Folgen verbunden… Fazit: Schönes Ambiente, freundlicher Kellner, sehr schmackhaft angerichtete Gerichte und für jemanden ohne Allergie und Intoleranz auch sehr köstlich. Fatal jedoch sind die falschen Hinweise in der Speisekarte und die Unkenntnis eines Küchenchefs über die Lebensmittel, die er verarbeitet. In der heutigen Zeit sind Allergien und Unverträglichkeiten keine Seltenheit mehr und jeder, der in irgendeiner Art und Weise mit Lebensmitteln arbeitet, sollte gewissenhaft sein und sich auskennen. Insofern ist dieses Unwissen auch für ein Restaurant in einer Kleinstadt wie Rotenburg ein No Go.
