The service is courteous and friendly. It's just the right fit. We had the creamed mushroom schnitzel. Very tender meat, a beautifully seasoned sauce with fresh mushrooms. The side salad was also delicious.

We visited the restaurant for the first time today. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. I don't understand why some people complain about the "small" menu or the limited selection or whatever. Better a "small" selection and good quality than tons of dishes that don't taste good. We were satisfied.

I don't quite understand the many positive reviews. Since I wanted a schnitzel that wasn't pork, it got complicated, which the waitress didn't like. I ended up with a chicken breast that was cut much too thick and had nothing to do with schnitzel. The longer the food cooled, the more the jelly-like sauce became, and it wasn't exactly tasty. The menu was small.

We had a light lunch the other day after visiting Schloss Berleburg. The food is simple, homemade and so good. The owner and the wife are true hospitable, professional and friendly people.

Discovered by chance. Delicious food, beautifully presented, two different steaks (pork, beef), each cooked differently, top-notch. Served with peppercorn sauce for dipping, fried potatoes, bacon bits, and salad. Enjoyed a Starnberger wheat beer on tap in the shady beer garden – delicious. That's what a beer garden should be. The hosts are experts in catering and take time for their guests (which has unfortunately become rare, but it's all the more important to have a conversation with your guests). We were thrilled and will be back.

Nothing works without a reservation but the beer garden was still very empty. Service a bit inflexible. Acquaintances of the boss who were warmly welcomed were of course immediately given a table, but they obviously hadn't reserved.

I just ordered food to pick up, unfortunately I didn't check in beforehand. From the asparagus menu with potatoes with hollandaise and two medallions. Three half potatoes and two tiny medallions and four asparagus for a whopping 26.80 euros. It didn't even taste good and certainly didn't fill you up. Pure disappointment

It's been a perfect restaurant visit for us for a long time!!! We became aware of the restaurant because of the good reviews and were not disappointed!!! The food was awesome!!! Shrimp as a starter: perfect! Main courses: - Crisps with mushroom sauce: Perfect! - Steak medium with pepper sauce: perfect and to the point! We really haven't eaten so well in a long time. And no, we don't know the owners. The evaluation is done voluntarily. Thank you for a great evening! We'll be back!

Unfortunately, although we were looking forward to the meal, our experience was disappointing. All dishes were very salty, which significantly affected the enjoyment. We also had to wait over 50 minutes for our food. The waitress noticed our problem and asked her colleague whether we should be accommodated - but she rudely refused. Better service could have saved the day, but unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant.

Very friendly dealings, very tasty food, which is at least what I can say about my dish and it was very quick. I had the Wittgensteiner Krüstchen (schnitzel on toast, mushroom cream sauce, fried egg and side salad) but without mushrooms on request. The price is also great at €14.80 👍

Actually, I don't want to recommend the Weiße Ross at all while I'm still here, because otherwise I won't be able to get a place myself. But because I'm leaving in three days, I would particularly like to recommend the steak.

Surprising! Saturday, 1:30 p.m., hungry from a walk in the snow - lights are on, the map on the notice board reads very well. Into a rustic inn, table around the corner, delicious shandy and excellent food. Homemade pan very tasty, goose plate dish fantastic. It's a shame that we have to travel too far from the Lower Rhine, otherwise we would come by regularly. Keep it up

Went there spontaneously for lunch this lunchtime - luckily we got a place in the back dining room; despite it being a normal working day, everything in the front was already occupied. If you want to go out to eat in the evening, we strongly recommend that you make a reservation, otherwise you may not be able to get a seat. It's easy to understand why the restaurant is so busy: everything is just right here. The service is very friendly and there is honest, down-to-earth, fresh cuisine. The price/performance ratio is also 100 percent right. Really highly recommended. We were very satisfied, thank you for the good hospitality.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant. The lettuce is unappetizingly brown on all cut edges, i.e. old. The chanterelles over the schnitzel are very few. Just shrug your shoulders when you mention the salad. Never again!

We recently ate there for the first time or picked up the food. We ordered the following: Jägerschnitzel with fries Nuggets with fries Cheese spaetzle Wow, I don't even know where to start. Let's start with the positive - Friendly service - Loves children (my son got a little treat) - Price/performance fits - Small map (not as cluttered as many others) - You can tell everything is freshly made - The exterior and interior look beautiful and historical I had the cheese spaetzle myself and can only say, wow respect, very spicy, even the spaetzle and fried onions were homemade. Delicious. The best of my life. My wife had the schnitzel and was also very excited because it was different from others where it always felt like it tasted the same. My son really enjoyed the nuggets with fries. Now comes the big thing and now we come to the tons of bad stuff: Just kidding, there's nothing to criticize. It was really very good, rarely have we tried a new restaurant that stands out so strongly and positively. From us a grade 1+ with a star. We will now order there more often and test different dishes.

We had dinner at the white horse on May 1st during a multi-day bike tour. Since we were a little later, it wasn't an issue to find a seat in the beer garden. We were very happy with the food, everything was very tasty and very well crafted. We also don't want to forget the service, which was very attentive and always there when needed. In any case, we found a fine restaurant in Berleburg that we would like to visit again. I found the prices to be reasonable and by no means too high, as other places charge higher prices for significantly lower quality. I can only recommend the restaurant, if necessary you should reserve a table.

Cozy pub with restaurant, German cuisine, also in the evenings. Delicious things at reasonable prices. We will come back.

Welcomed with warmth outside on the sweet terrace with totally relaxed staff and then the food came wow wow wow asparagus with schnitzel and potatoes real potatoes asparagus really good al dente to the bite and then the schnitzel buttery soft everything tasted excellent. Everything is just great. We booked the super beautiful, large and lovingly furnished holiday apartment for a weekend. Nothing is missing here. Own parking space right in front of the door. The restaurant has small but fine cuisine, we all enjoyed it very much. The boss and his employees are very attentive and take their time. Which is not a given these days. You are a great team. Keep it up. Thank you for everything.

We visited my parents in rehab and wanted to go out to eat! There isn't much going on in the town on Sundays, so we tried the White Ross... Actually, everything was reserved, somehow we were still able to squeeze in, of course for a little while but completely understandable! But that was also rewarded with really great food! Best quality! Great, nice service! Top! Call on the weekend to reserve, otherwise you'll miss out! 😉

We were there for the first time today and I don't think it will be the last time. We returned after an excursion. I had roulade with red cabbage and dumplings, my wife had mushroom cream schnitzel. Both tasted very good and the schnitzel was expertly pounded, we heard 🤷🏼‍♂️😅😉👍🏼. No Tk garbage! It's nice to enjoy German cuisine like your mother makes again. Keep that in mind. Unfortunately, there are not many people left who can, do and want to do that. Thanks!

Rustikales gemütliches Restaurant mit Kneipenflair. Sympathisches Personal, die trotz Personalmangel ruhig und entspannt waren. Essen war eine 10/10 ! Preis /Leistung 10/10 Haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt!

Ich war dort mit meiner Familie während meines Reha Kuraufenthalts dort essen. Und ich hatte aus dem Bekanntenkreis schon mitbekommen, dass es hoch gelobt wurde. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war vorzüglich die Inhaber und alles war wirklich sehr nett und sehr freundlich👍👍👍👍👍 Mein Tipp wäre immer einen Tisch zu reservieren die sind immer sehr ausgebucht.

Es war ein wirklich schöner Abend, essen schmeckt sehr gut, Preise passen, alles rundum top !

Obwohl ich nicht reserviert hatte und der Laden voll war, habe ich noch einen Platz angeboten bekommen. Die Zeit bis zur Bestellannahme war relativ lang, war aber bei der volle Hütte auch zu erwarten. Man hat sich dennoch gefühlt 100x dafür entschuldigt. Die Wartezeit hat sich jedoch mehr als gelohnt, das Essen war super. Werde auf alle Fälle wieder hingehen.

Wir waren mit einer kleinen Gruppe am Abend unserer goldenen Hochzeit (19.10.23) hier,hatten kurzfristig einen Tisch vorbestellt-alles perfekt gelaufen,daß Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal absolut nett.Es ist noch die einzige Origanal Berleburger Gaststätte,die noch existiert und im ursprünglichen Zustand erhalten wurde-die alten Fotos von Berleburg sind einfach faszinierend,ich kenne sie alle,denn bin gebürtiger Berleburger und 1951 geboren,da kann man sich doch an vieles erinnern. Es war an dem Abend eine tolle Atmosphäre und wir können diese Gaststätte mit sehr ruhigem Gewissen jederzeit weiterempfehlen. W.Lauber

Rinderschmorbraten mit Gemüse - sehr lecker! Ebenso der Kaiserschmarrn als Nachtisch - wunderbar! Zügiger und humorvoller Service: Gesellschaft mit ca. 40 Personen bekamen alle gleichzeitig ihr Gericht serviert, so dass gemeinsam gegessen werden konnte. Getränkenachschub top! Das Nebengebäude als Lokalität ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, schöne Tischdeko!

Ein sehr schönes und gemütliches Restaurant. Das tolle Team gibt einem das Gefühl sehr willkommen zu sein und das Essen war hervorragend. Wenn wir nochmal in der Nähe sind kommen wir gerne wieder vorbei. Danke für den angenehmen Abend.
