One of our favorite beer gardens in the area. Local specialties with excellent and friendly service.

The interior is quaint—if you like that, but sometimes there are "cat tables" where there's limited space and eating options are rather limited, I think. The larger tables are much more comfortable, but unfortunately, they're not ideal for people traveling alone or with a partner. Whenever possible, I prefer the beer garden; there's plenty of space and it feels much more modern.

Great restaurant, varied menu, something for everyone, excellent dishes, friendly and attentive service. We'll be back...

Yesterday, we were in the beautiful garden with a larger group. Very friendly and quick service, a very nice garden, and excellent food. I personally highly recommend the tender schnitzel.

We had a lovely seat and a delicious meal. The service was friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the food here and enjoyed it. A great vitello tonnato, fried spinach dumplings, a lovely salad, pancakes with fresh strawberries, espresso, water, and wine. It's a shame we live far away ;-)

The food was very good. The service was very friendly and attentive. The prices were a bit high, but that's probably due to the current economic situation.

We were 2 adults, 1 toddler there for lunch. The inn is well furnished, very cozy. Staff totally friendly. The food was very tasty and the prices were totally reasonable. We'd love to come back.

Absolute recommendation in this day and age, super nice restaurant, really nice service and what is even more important is the good food, which is served here in an extremely friendly manner, at reasonable prices. Please keep it up, I'd love to come back. Best regards

Well, we had made a reservation, but immediately after eating we were (kindly) asked to leave in 10 minutes because the table would be reserved for the next guest from 7 p.m. That's not possible, we would have liked to have stayed longer. If so, they should have said it beforehand. Not good advertising, don't think we'll go there again.

If there were 10 stars, I would give them! Zum Unterwirt is a living inn tradition without being dusty or old-fashioned! The kitchen also presents itself as young, modern and yet classic and creative at the same time. We have spent many wonderful evenings there and always enjoy the high-quality food and ambience!

Nice friendly service, tasty food

Tastefully renovated inn with a friendly young team. The food is consistently very good, we especially liked the potato salad. The beer garden is nice, but the new restaurant is particularly worth highlighting. High-quality materials, comfortable armchairs and large windows. All in all, one of our favorite restaurants within a 40 km radius.

A big compliment to the service. It's been a long time since we've had such friendly and competent service as the Unterwirt. The food was also excellent. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stop at the Unterwirt again.

I ordered a cordon bleu with fries, although I found the price a bit more expensive (for such a simple dish). But the cordon bleu was really delicious. I can't remember ever having a better meal. Sure, the fries were just good fries. There's nothing you can do magic about.

Top dishes, nice atmosphere and nice waiters. The food was really delicious - the meat was tasty, the fries were crunchy, the salad was fresh, everything perfect. The drinks were also good (you have to try the tap beer). The prices are moderate and not cheap - so i wouldn’t say it is “cheap eats” when you search it on trip advisor.

Super nice pub with a beer garden. As a vegetarian, I've loved everything so far. There are e.g. Spinach dumplings, falafel burgers or even a pasta dish. The staff is incredibly nice and the desserts are also recommended.

15 euros for a burger - without any supplement - is, in my opinion, out of proportion.

Really very good cuisine. Selected dishes on a not overloaded menu. Prices are really difficult for the quality. Zander with potato salad and mustard sauce 14.90. Service quick and friendly. Small fine kitchen. In the new area there are sometimes only boards that you have to share with others. Service is tried hard.

Insider tip for everyone who only knows the town square in Eggenfelden! A somewhat hidden inn in Gern that has incredible charm, excellent cuisine and very, very friendly staff. Thanks to the chef and the waitresses for the great lunch!

Man hat uns an den Katzentisch im Halbdunkel gesetzt, obwohl mehrere Tische im Lokal frei waren. Das Essen war nur lauwarm, und eine der Speisen ("Geröstl mit Semmelknödel und Schweinfleisch") war nicht genießbar - große, fettige, ungewürzte Fleischbrocken und labbrige, nicht geröstete Knödelstücke. Die Bedienung bot zum Trost einen "Schnaps" an, auf den wir verzichteten. Die Rechnung wurde in voller Höhe gestellt und bezahlt.

Sehr tolle Auswahl an Speisen, immer wieder wechselnd. Hat bisher immer geschmeckt. Persönlicher Favorit der Kasspressknödelsalat, einfach nur lecker. Tolles Ambiente. Komme immer wieder gerne.

Wir konnten von der Wetterkenntnis des Service-Chefs profitieren und setzten uns in die Gaststube anstatt des Biergartens, in dem es 15 min später zu regnen begann. Essen war auch dufte!

Sehr schönes bayerisches Gasthaus mit Biergarten und sehr netter Service.

Wir waren ganz spontan Sonntagmittag ohne Reservierung beim Unterwirt und der super nette Service hat uns trotzdem gleich einen Tisch besorgt. Die Karte bietet viel Auswahl, sowohl deftige bayerische Spezialitäten, aber auch Burger oder einige Veggie-Gerichte. Obwohl viel los war, war der Service sehr aufmerksam und schnell und das Essen ausgezeichnet. Große Empfehlung!

Heute wurden wir vom Catering zum 60 Geburtstag verwöhnt. Ein Schmauss für die Augen und den Magen. Nur zu empfehlen.

Wir waren auf der Heimreise und hatten hier unser Abendessen. Service war sehr nett hüpsch und freundlich. Essen war sehr lecker aber bißchen wenig. Preise etwas angehoben. Alles in allem Top. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Lecker Speisen und abwechslungsreicher Mittagstisch.

Wir haben ewig auf das Essen gewartet. Ein totales durcheinander dort. Da die Tische nicht eben standen viel ein Weißbierglas um die Bedienung nahm nur die großen Scherben mit, alles andere ließ sie so. Nasse Tischdecke musste von uns weggeräumt werden. Lag bis zum Schluss noch auf unserem Tisch. Niemand der 3 Bedingungen kamm auf die Idee die Tischdecke zu entfernen. Ehrlich gesagt habe ich auch noch nie so einen unliebevoll angerichteten Teller gesehen. Sogar die Entschuldigung für das Chaos und die schlechte Bedienung war sehr flapsig. Wir werden definitiv nicht wieder kommen!!!!

Essen ist nicht schlecht aber hier stimmt die Preis Leistung nicht... grillteller fast 20 Euro und doch nur 3 kleine Stücke Fleisch... dazu kommt dass das Rindfleisch innen noch blutig war. Ich das aber absolut nicht mag... wurde aber auch nicht Gefragt !

Ich kann hier nur den Biergarten beschreiben, gutes Essen, kühle Getränke, freundlichliche Bedienung, In einem sauberen und gepflegten Biergarten hier trifft man Einheimische oder auch Touristen, die mit dem Radl einen Stopp einlegen

Top lokation, top Biergarten. Schnelle Bedienung auch bei vollem Besuch. Sonntag von 11.30 bis 22 uhr offen nicht wie hier angegeben
