Zum Stachus Restaurant in Wasserburg (Bodensee)

Wasserburg itself is a lovely little town. The restaurant: The staff was open, cheerful, and friendly. The food, okay. The Wiener Schnitzel was good. The Swiss sausage salad had a whole red onion on it—way too much onion and way too much salad dressing. The fried potatoes were more like boiled potatoes with seasoning; there was little frying involved. The Jäger-style turkey schnitzel: It was practically swimming in sauce, but the sauce was fortunately delicious, but paprika doesn't belong on it. The turkey schnitzel was a bit tough. The bruschetta as a starter is highly recommended, as are the drinks; all delicious. The ordered dishes arrived quickly, perhaps a little too quickly, considering the aforementioned shortcomings. There were only 6-8 tables occupied in the entire restaurant on a Monday evening, so there was no reason to stress and have the food served quickly, albeit not well prepared.

Excellent experience, I went out if my comfort zone and ordered the Indian rice dish chicken biryani. Definitely something to try! Delicious. Other dishes: salads and carbonara were well received as wel😁.

At Stachus! We received a warm welcome both times. We had Indian food once and a burger once. Both were very, very tasty. And the prices were absolutely reasonable, I'd say. The waiters were all very friendly.

We visited this restaurant two days in a row. On the first day, we had Indian food, and on the second day, German. The food was very good, as was the service and the prices. The only drawback was that the restrooms could be cleaner. Otherwise, I recommend it.

Very friendly staff and great service. The food was okay. The bacon burger was huge and delicious. The fries were just okay. Apparently due to a delivery mix-up, there were no curly fries. The pork knuckle could have stayed in the oven a little longer. It was tasty, but the crust wasn't crispy at all. We had to send it back to bake a little longer, so one of us had to watch the other eat alone. The ice cold beer was very good. All in all, the food was more or less okay, but we found it a bit overpriced for the overall quality.

90 minutes of waiting for food is simply too long with children, even for very simple dishes. Even after repeated requests, it still took an eternity until the food was at the table. A voucher offer for further visits doesn't help either. Definitely not here again.

The service was very nice and the food we ordered came relatively quickly. The burger with salad was very good, the price was right.

There were actually a few cats in the restaurant. The Kaiserschmarrn had no flavor. The samosas had hair in them, the side salad was full of garlic, but the menu didn't mention it. The fried chicken was simply deep-fried... please mention that on the menu/in the pre-conversation.

The Stachus is always worth it for a normal meal. I can recommend the Indian cuisine. It tastes really good. The other food too, of course. It's a good mainstream restaurant with friendly service and fair prices. And there has to be that too. It's always just creme de la creme. The ambience inside is a little bland, but not bad or uncomfortable. In the summer you sit outside anyway.

The bacon burger was great, and the other guests' chicken curry and lamb were also very tasty. Only recommended.

We visited the restaurant for lunch on Monday (January 20th). The young lady greeted us warmly. She was also very attentive and enthusiastic. I had an Indian dish, which was well-seasoned. The vegetables were fresh, and the meal was garnished with arugula. My husband's burger was generously topped and, with the fries, was a generous portion. The ambiance was cozy and tastefully decorated. At the end of the meal, we were treated to an espresso on the restaurant's dime...thank you very much.

We came here on New Year's Eve rather spontaneously because it was pretty much the only restaurant open. When we asked if we could get a table at 7:00, we were told, "We'll get you there somehow." At 7:00, we were back at Stachus, and the "We'll get you there somehow" turned into a truly wonderful evening. Unbeknownst to us, there was a four-course New Year's Eve menu. The food was very, very good and served with a touch of humor. The evening was a total success from start to finish, pleasant, and truly informal. We had no expectations for that day, but everything we could have wished for was exceeded, in our opinion. Wonderful hosts and truly delicious food. Thank you for saving our evening; it was wonderful with you.

We spontaneously went there on New Year's Eve. Our New Year's Eve menu consisted of pancake soup, salad, goulash with spaetzle, and a grilled plate with fries. For dessert, we had "Heiße Liebe" (hot love). We were very satisfied with everything from the size of the portions to the quality of the food. The waiter (presumably the boss) was super friendly and accommodating. Later, we were served a glass of sparkling wine. For us, it was a truly enriching New Year's Eve experience, and we'll definitely stop by again when we're in the region.

The lady at the service didn't know anything about gluten-free. No alternative, she didn't even ask in the kitchen. I then ordered a salad and she brought bread. Extremely ignorant about intolerances. The menu on site and online have clear differences. Everything seems unprofessional. Three points, the salad. tasted good.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great and unfortunately far too expensive for what was offered. We were fooled by the advertising images on Google. Burgers, currywurst and an Indian meal were ordered. Everything didn't taste particularly good. Service was nice, unfortunately the bacon was forgotten on the burgers, but was given to us on a plate upon request.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. I ordered turkey breast with mushroom sauce and rice. Unfortunately the sauce and rice were just lukewarm. I immediately returned my plate. Unfortunately, when my food came again and they said it had been freshly prepared, I discovered the same thing. I had my husband try it and he confirmed it. The employee who prepared the food denied everything and added that the food served outside would get cold quickly. No food can be cold after a minute. So I was allowed to finish my cold menu. A very negative experience for which I then had to pay the full price.

Discovered the Zum Stachus restaurant today by chance. Food was very tasty. Large portions. Price-performance very consistent. Very cozy atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy is the very courteous, friendly service in all areas. It was nice to see how elderly guests were treated. We were definitely not there for the last time.

At the end of our JGA we had an excellent meal here. Very nice, friendly service and at the end we even got an espresso on the house!

We wanted to eat at this restaurant with 3 people. After the boss handed us two menus and we waited for 25 minutes in vain, we left the store without being able to order. There was little activity (only 3 tables were occupied). The boss preferred to talk to friends! Conclusion: We would be happy to pass on our experience to friends and relatives in the Lake Constance area!

A nice restaurant with a terrace in the middle of Wasserburg's market square. The service is very nice and also explains the dishes. Varied menu from all categories and the plates are full, which is no longer usual today. The food is very tasty and what we have seen from other guests - just as appealing. We are locals and will definitely come back.

Swabian cuisine meets Indian cuisine - delicious and friendly! ***** We decided quite spontaneously to come here. To be honest, the first impression was so bad because there were more “regulars”. BUT that was probably due to the time (afternoon). The ambience in the dining room is fine. Unfortunately it was raining outside, but I think it's nice to sit here when the weather is good. The schnitzel was crispy and the fries were fresh. The Indian curry with rice was really delicious! The cuisine here is both Swabian and Indian! Drinks are regional and not cheap products. The service was attentive and friendly. Price-performance fits here!

Stopped in spontaneously for a meal on a stopover. Traveling with 3 children aged 16-9 and everyone was thrilled. Delicious burgers, super crispy fries and a delicious apple strudel for dessert for me. The restaurant was full and the service and waiting time were okay! We'll be back, not tomorrow but at some point.

Als erstes ist uns der nicht so freundliche Service aufgefallen. Guten Tag oder Hallo gar nicht, trotz vorbei laufen und als wir grüßten, kam nur ein Nicken. Warten musste man zum Bestellen nicht lang. Wein war nicht kalt, dafür aber das Essen (gerade lau warm). Geschmacklich alles gut. Pommes waren super knusprig. Es war alles etwas schmuddlig (Tische nicht abgewischt, auf der Terrasse alles voll Laub und kleine Zettelchen, Speisekarten sehr gebraucht) Geschirr war leider auch überall etwas angeschlagen. Es wird als indisch/schwäbisches Restaurant betitelt aber man bekommt alle möglichen Richtungen, was wir ganz gut fanden. Restaurant liegt direkt an der Straße, was aber nicht störte. Alles im allen war es ok aber wieder kommen wir nicht.

Waren dort ein Eis Essen, welches sehr 👍 geschmeckt hat.

Sind zufällig in dieses Restaurant gekommen, wir hatten einmal Indisch und einmal Putenschnitzel, war beides sehr gut wie auch das Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis. Service war freundlich und schnell. Sollten wir mal wieder in der Gegend sein, werden wir es auf jedenfall wieder besuchen!

Ein schönes Restaurant mit netten Außenbereich, der einlädt zum Ausruhen von einer Radtour und dann mit einem sehr zu empfehlendem Mittagstischangebot. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Essen war lecker und 😋 und die freundliche Bedienung hat alles noch aber unser, so dass wir sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Gemütliche Location und freundliches Personal. Hatten Rumpsteak bestellt (medium) war leider zu durch. Dennoch war es genießbar.

Naja... Essen war nicht so ganz das Wahre! Bei den Salzkartoffeln musste man das Salz suchen - die waren gar nicht gesalzen - und bei einem typischen gemischten Salat, muss auch keine Ananas dabei sein. Das hat nichts mit Geschmacksache zu tun - das passt nicht! Stimmung schien auch nicht die beste zu sein und den Gästen richtig zuhören, gehört auch nicht gerade zu den Stärken. Hätten fast ein Pils statt Radler bekommen. Sumser 2 war um Klassen besser!

Die indischen Gerichte waren sehr lecker und soweit ich beurteilen kann authentisch. Die Burger waren saftig und das Kinderessen perfekt für Kinder. Einzig ein Brötchen war etwas stark geröstet und das Kinderschnitzel ebenfalls an einer Seite etwas zu braun, daher nur 4 Sterne. Preis-Leistung stimmt.

hallo, war mit meiner freundin essen und bin begeistert. der zwiebelrostbraten mit spätzle und einer delikaten soße war einfach genial. meine freundin hatte einen salat und war sehr zufrieden. Wir können das restaurant guten gewissens empfehlen und werden sicherlich öfters kommen.
