Very tasty food! Simply great!!

Went to the class reunion at the Scheffelhof yesterday. Unfortunately, the staff was overwhelmed when it came to billing. The bill wasn't checked straight away and the meal was billed as a men's dream instead of medals. I can only recommend checking the food that has been billed for immediately. 10€ difference.

The food is delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. But please bring back the chocolate cake for dessert 🙏

The Scheffelhof gets a clear recommendation!!! The rooms are sufficiently large, renovated and clean. A coffee machine is available in the hallway for all guests as there is no breakfast here. However, the nearest bakery is right in the neighborhood. You can eat excellently in the restaurant and bar. The portions are large. The service is really nice, open-minded and quick. The location of the inn is perfect. You can reach the monastery in five minutes on foot. Free parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity. We would love to come back. Thank you!!

I can only recommend a German restaurant, the food was very tasty. And very friendly. Thank you very much 😁 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We were just passing through and stayed at the motorhome parking space for one night. LG the hamburgers

Aug 24: Again, quite spontaneously but with a prior call. Seven. The ambience remains simply wonderful. Staff very attentive and friendly. The little one was really spoiled 😉. All of the food not only sounded very different, but also tasted very different. we're looking forward to next time! Summer 23: As a family of four for dinner. As always, the quality is very good and it is very appealing to the eye Staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

A nice inn with a restaurant. Food not cheap but very good. Rooms clean and modern, nothing was missing. Due to the location on the main street, the windows could not be opened, which was quite annoying in midsummer. In principle, however, a good and convenient location.

Super delicious food, great location and really friendly staff. The price is high, but absolutely within the range for the performance offered.

Overall a good hotel in a good location. But: A room that was initially booked as a single room was changed to a double room at short notice due to the two of us arriving, and an additional cost of €21 was found to be OK. However, the promise to provide additional towels and bed linen was not kept. The initially promised reimbursement of the additional effort has not been received even after 4 weeks, what a shame!

When visiting Maulbronn Monastery, we recommend making a reservation at the “Zum Scheffelhof” restaurant. The restaurant is very easy to reach as it is in the immediate vicinity of the famous Maulbronn Monastery. The atmosphere is modern and very cozy. Especially in the warm season, there are seats in the back area, which is more reminiscent of an idyllic Italian alley. The staff is very committed and friendly. The dishes on offer are particularly noteworthy. The restaurant also offers seasonal highlights that are very appealing. The price-performance ratio is okay, especially since the quality of the food is particularly high. A white wine was recommended to us today, which went perfectly with the food and rounded off the visit perfectly. The restaurant deserves the rating “highly recommended”.

Sympathetic, very tasty and individual restoration. Made the most of the location thanks to the friendly group that runs the store. We were blown away by the service and the very fine food!

The rooms are fine. Clean if a bit careless. For €91 I'm asking for more. Service? No booking confirmation, check out at 10am, no breakfast. Otherwise, friendliness... well Parking spaces only public - 2 hours with parking disc :-(

Have eaten there a few times and it was always of the same good quality. It's cozy, not very loud. What should be changed so that the smoke from the cigarettes can't get in, that would be great

The restaurant offers a great ambience. The staff are super friendly. The food is really well prepared and good, but unfortunately it was only served lukewarm. That is too bad. Conclusion: The restaurant is recommended. I think the not-so-warm food can happen. Parking spaces next to the restaurant are rare, but you can walk up from the monastery parking lot. Note to the chef: Cold plates quickly remove the heat from the food. Otherwise everything was really great.

Reservation is required. It may take longer to get your food. We waited over 1 hour.

I spent a peaceful night here. The room had everything it needed. It was clean, the beds were new and the mattress was firm. There was WiFi. The bathroom was very spacious. Overall, at best, a little light-hearted. An absolute MUST: in the evening after work you can eat VERY, VERY GOOD in the attached restaurant. I would love to come back!

The absolute insider tip... super tasty... Always new dishes... lovely great service... We love the Scheffelhof and always like to drive 30 to 40 minutes to get there

Haben von meiner karte 28 euro zuviel abgezogen. Service nur katastrophe mehr nicht. Bei denen setze ich kein fuß mehr rein.

Wir waren hier schon mal zufriedener. Die Preise haben sich deutlich erhöht, zum Beispiel ein Rostbraten mit Beilagen ohne Salat für über 26€. Oder ein stink normaler Burger mit Pommes für über 18€. Der Servicrle hat sich aber verschlechtert. Wir haben längere Zeit in leere Gläser geschaut. 2G Nachweise wurden nicht abgefragt und hat auch niemanden interessiert. Preisleistung hat sich unserer Meinung deutlich verschlechtert.

Hier hat sich jemand Gedanken gemacht, und zwar über das Ambiente wie auch über das Essen. Wir saßen im Hof bei schönstem Sonnenwetter und genossen das frisch zubereitete Essen. Das Zigeunerschnitzel (10,50) mit der leicht scharfen Soße war schon sehr lecker. Aber die Spargelpasta (9,00) war unübertroffen gut. Ein toller Ort zum Genießen.

After visiting the Maulbronn Monastery, having Maultaschen for lunch, and buying some Easter eggs, it was time to find a place to get a glass of wine. George and Timo were closing after the lunch crowd, but we talked them into letting us have a couple of drinks. What great hosts. Timo makes an exceptional Negroni to boot. We spent a couple of hours chatting with them. George gave us a tour and told us we must come back to stay at the attached six room B&B as well as to have a fantastic meal. The menu looks outstanding with them aging beef on the premises. All in all, a wonderful afternoon despite them being closed! Epharisto, George!

Zum ersten Mal ausprobiert und total begeistert. Alles was man von einem guten Restaurant erwartet: Professionalität, Schnelligkeit, Höflichkeit und hervorragendes Essen. Jederzeit wieder gerne. Absolut empfehlenswert und jeden Euro wert. Reservierung empfohlen!

Sehr sehr gutes Restaurant mit frischer Hausküche, lokalen und saisonalen Gerichten. Dry-Aged Fleischgerichte, leckere Pizza, vegetarische Gerichte und vieles mehr! Schnelle kompetente Bedienungen. Cocktails sind sehr zu empfehlen, viel Auswahl an Spirituosen. Gehen gerne in den Scheffelhof

Chciałbym napisać że jest to jedna z lepszych restauracji w których jadłem. Wymarzone miejsce dla tych którzy cenią dobry Stek oraz dobrą kuchnię, Polecam :)

Das Essen ist besonders gut, hier stimmt alles. Gemütliche Terasse. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Tip: das Filetsteak (dry aged) und die Pizzen schmecken wie in Italien. Preis Leistung ist besser als hervorragend.

Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zurückhaltend und doch immer ein Auge für den Gast. Klar. Ist ihr Job, aber habe ich auch schon ganz anders erlebt. Man fühlt sich wohl. Das Essen war hervorragend. Geschmacklich toll abgestimmt. Sehr gute Qualität. Das Auge ißt ja bekanntlich mit und hier wurde es super angerichtet. Das macht Spaß. Bestimmt wieder.

Tip Top gibt nichts zu meckern 👍 wundervolles Ambiente und ein sehr toller Service. Die Speisen waren auf den Punkt genau gegart und sehr ansehnlich angerichtet. Bedenkenlos zu empfehlen und immer wieder sehr gern.

Having just finished a tour of Maulbronn Monastery where we learned about the Swabian Maultaschen, or small God-cheaters, we set off in search of some to try. The legend says that although the Cistercian order was forbidden to eat meat, at one point some minced meat was delivered to the monastery and fearing wasting it, the cooks mixed it with greens and spices and fill pasta pouches with it. The first restaurant we chose made them. They were served in warm broth, and the dish we enjoyed at Scheffelhof was delicious. The gracious owner told us they were his mother’s recipe. The restaurant was very clean, service excellent and we felt fortunate to have found this delightful restaurant.

Wir waren zu dritt im Restaurant und aßen querbeet durch die Speisekarte (Pizza, Schweinefilet und Burger). Das Essen war jeweils hervorragend. Der Service trotz des randvollen Restaurant bestes aufgelegt und freundlich. Die Toilette war sehr sauber. Das Restaurant ist stilvoll dekoriert. Auch nach dem Essen und Zahlen durften wir noch ein bisschen bleiben und wurden nicht zum gehen gedrängt. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist top.

We had a family reunion dinner here and had a great time. The service was friendly, portion size generous and pricing reasonable. We loved the quaint atmosphere and will certainly return before we leave the area.
