Zum Santa in Rosenheim

Bring your time! We were there last Sunday and had soup and Kaiserschmarrn. Even though we ordered everything together, it took a total of two hours to finish. It's a shame, because the food and atmosphere were otherwise lovely.

The service was excellent, the ambiance was unique, and the prices were reasonable.

A very nice restaurant with super friendly staff in the heart of Rosenheim's city center. I had the pumpkin risotto, which was absolutely delicious. We sat outside on the terrace, and they even provided blankets if you were feeling a bit chilly. 👍

We came to this restaurant via the Schlemmerblock (smuggling block) and were very pleased. The seating is great, right outside in the hustle and bustle, and the service is super attentive. The porcini mushroom dumplings with Hokkaido mushrooms are an absolute insider tip! We'd love to come back next time we're in the area 👍

We were served nicely and friendly, the price/performance ratio was good, not a highlight but good!

The food was simply mediocre. The service was just as mediocre. In retrospect, however, I learned that it was probably just a hectic day.

We spontaneously tried it – and were thrilled! We spontaneously tried Zum Santa during a shopping trip because the restaurant is also listed in the region's gourmet guide. Despite the bad weather, we were able to easily reserve a table for three in the winter garden by phone shortly beforehand – super friendly and uncomplicated. The reception, ambiance, service, and food were all top-notch. Of all the restaurants in Rosenheim city center, Zum Santa is one of our favorites. We'd love to come back!

A super nice restaurant, very cozy and lovingly decorated. The food is always freshly prepared with love, and there's something for both vegetarians and meat lovers. The service team is friendly and attentive. Danny is always on the ball and always in a good mood, even when it's busy.

We were just about to sit down on the terrace with a group of 28 people. There were plenty of empty seats, but no reservations. We were sent away in an unusually rude manner because the waiter didn't want us to move the tables closer together to sit together. The most rude thing I've ever been to. NEVER AGAIN!

Very good pub. We went to the beer garden. The burger was fantastic. The service was friendly. The prices are reasonable.

The restaurant has a kind of winter garden where we like to sit. The staff has always been friendly and attentive, despite the large number of guests. The food is always good, from delicious seasonal dishes to a large selection of tarte flambée to traditional home cooking. Bringing a dog is no problem either.

The male waitress with a small tattoo behind his right ear was very unpleasant. The rest was excellent, but a bit expensive.

Einer der verbleibenden Kollegen war äußerst aufmerksam und freundlich, der andere hingegen weniger! Um 19.45 Uhr räumte er Tische ab und wies Gäste von dort weg, um in einem anderen Bereich Platz zu nehmen. Dies in unfreundlichem Ton. Die Küche schließt um 21.00, das Lokal um 22.00 Uhr. 🤨 Das macht keinen guten Eindruck, wenn so früh bereits „ abgeräumt „ wird.

Located directly on the large market square, the restaurant serves Bavarian delicacies as well as traditional dishes like liver with fried potatoes and trendy dishes like tarte flambée with chili. There's something for everyone, and the prices are still reasonable.

Guess food, good value, great location, attentive service

We had questions about the menu. Unfortunately, the waiter left us standing there and said very rudely, "I don't have time to explain the whole menu to you." We then went somewhere else.

You are the best in Rosenheim's city center. Super-friendly staff, delicious dishes, and a wonderful courtyard. Dear Management of the Zum Santa Restaurant, I would like to inform you of a disappointing experience my wife, a friend, and I recently had at your restaurant on June 1, 2025. Back in December, we were already thrilled with your delicious food and friendly service, which is why we were really looking forward to a return visit. Last weekend, we were in Salzburg for a rock 'n' roll event with Donna Presley, Elvis Presley's cousin. After an unfortunate incident on the highway, we spontaneously decided to dine with you. Unfortunately, our group of five was turned down because you only had tables for four guests. Your staff informed us that all tables were reserved and that two tables could not be put together for aesthetic reasons. We asked if we could still dine at your restaurant, but were told that there was a shortage of staff on Sundays. We don't understand this explanation, as we had the impression that your staff were unwilling to accommodate us, and the friendliness we had previously experienced was completely lacking. This experience has significantly tarnished our positive impression of your restaurant. Fortunately, we found a seat at a neighboring restaurant where we received very friendly service and a delicious meal. During our stay, we kept an eye on your restaurant at all times and noticed that at no point was it so full that we had to be turned away. We are very disappointed by this experience and hope that you will take this feedback seriously to improve your service. Perhaps you can remember us.

We like to eat here when we're in Rosenheim. We recommend the ox cheeks if they're on the menu 😉 We think the price/performance ratio is reasonable. If it tastes great, the service is more than friendly, and you feel comfortable, it's worth it. The owners run the place with love, and you can tell. See you soon.

"Zum Santa" in the city center is always worth a visit! The owner is very friendly and welcoming, which immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere. You can sit outside or inside – both are cozy and inviting. We particularly like that the dishes change regularly, so there's always something new to discover. The food is tastefully prepared and beautifully presented. The service is also friendly and attentive, which completes the overall positive impression. And another plus: If you can't finish your entire meal, you can easily have the rest packed up, a nice gesture against food waste. In summary: Creative cuisine, pleasant atmosphere, and great service – we give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended!

We stopped here through the gourmet block and thought it was great that there was such a centrally located restaurant in the block. The food was very tasty, especially the salads are to die for. The block is also very well priced. The service was quick and friendly and it was nice to sit outside in front of the inn

The staff & the ambience are very good. But the portions for these prices are really macabre. For example, we ordered a schnitzel, but for that price the portions were quite small

Last shop! Impudence! Reserved for Sunday April 27th. from 6 p.m. for 4 people three weeks ago and received a confirmation by email. After our tour of the old town, we were in front of the restaurant shortly before 6 p.m. Then the waiter told us that the kitchen is only open until 6 p.m. and they close at 7 p.m.! Online reservations are not received by the staff. We would have to decide quickly and choose the food. Comfortable is something else. Then we left again. On the Santa homepage it says that on a Sunday the kitchen is open until 8 p.m. and they would close at 10 p.m. Google again another time. Closing at 8 p.m. Tip to management. Update opening times on your own homepage and on Google. Then you can avoid this shop for dinner in the future.

The "Zum Santa" is a beautiful inn in the heart of Rosenheim in an old building. The ambience is nice and appropriate for Santa. The service was very friendly and everything happened quite quickly. The food was freshly made and served warm. In my and our opinion, the portion sizes could have been larger, especially with more side dishes, such as: the potatoes for the burger. However, as I said, it's definitely too much for my hunger and ours, and for someone else. The burger itself tasted good, but the bun was very hard. For me, something like this should be roasted and crispy on the bottom and fluffy on the top. Maybe we should make some improvements and see if we can do it differently. The prices are typically slightly higher in the city than in the country. That's ok, but as mentioned, the portion size shouldn't be too small. Most dishes don't come with a salad with the main course, but have to be ordered separately. However, I think the children's meals are too expensive. Spaetzle with sauce 8.90 (April 2024). All in all, you can comfortably stop off and eat well at "Zum Santa", but there are a few points that could be improved.

Food was good but “clear” and too expensive (Aperol Sprizz is more fake than its supposed to be... incidentally there is no lemon in there). Service ok if responsibility is clarified. Outdoor seating mixed together old and new.

3 out of 4 urinals defective; very unclean toilets without towels to dry hands; Didn't get any drinks for 45 minutes despite asking; Waiters who ignore you, are completely overwhelmed and were also very unfriendly to over 30 guests; You couldn't even order fries as a side dish with a schnitzel; never again

Most expensive pub in Rosenheim in my opinion. 9.20 € total price: A shandy and a Williams pear schnapps. €6 beer and €3.20 liquor. Never again. Isn't there a law that dictates how much you can increase? It's a joke!!!! Freedom of expression from me.

The restaurant impresses with its stylish ambience, attentive service and excellent cuisine. The prices are reasonable for the quality, and the atmosphere invites you to linger longer. Whether for special occasions or a nice dinner – absolutely recommended!

We wanted to eat something in downtown Rosenheim, and a lucky coincidence took us to "Santa". We sat in the covered courtyard, pleasantly heated. We found a very extensive menu, the food we ordered (pumpkin risotto, vegetarian curry) was beautifully presented, very extensive and extremely tasty. The service also left absolutely nothing to be desired, the staff was very friendly and attentive. It doesn't actually get any better - a clear recommendation from me.

Were there for dinner. After almost an hour of waiting, the food arrived... anticipation and then horror... The food was...not good, so I wouldn't say inedible. Everything was too salty and although we had two different dishes, nothing tasted good. They couldn't have asked themselves whether we liked it, the plates were full. We paid and left disappointed and hungry. (It was also expensive.) I can't understand the good reviews. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDATION! Ambience quite nice, service a bit overwhelmed but still nice. But when it comes to eating, I can advise against it.

I love reading at the center. It was raining outside and I sat down at a table in this bar. No waiter came for almost an hour, then a man came and asked me to leave. I said I could place an order but they just threw me out. Very unfriendly. Sad.

The food and the place was so great

We had Ochsenbackerl and beef goulash, both were excellent. The Ochsenbackerl in particular are a must. The covered outdoor area offers a great ambience. We'd love to come back

The atmosphere in the covered courtyard is modern and very cozy. There were fresh flowers on every table and it was very nicely decorated. It could have been a bit warmer, but it wasn't exactly freezing yet. There is a large wine list and the menu also has something for young and old. Unfortunately the food (burger roll + patty and napkin dumplings) tasted very dry and some of the capaccio was still slightly frozen. The price range went from robber plate obolus to normal pizza to specialties.

Beautiful inn in the heart of Rosenheim with very tasty food. On top of that, not only the schnitzel, the pumpkin soup and the pumpkin ravioli, but also the wine recommendation were really excellent. It's a shame that there was no room for the advertised Kaiserschmarrn anymore.

After ten minutes of waiting, the waiter came at 4pm and said that nothing would be served for the next hour because they were taking an hour break. I've never experienced anything like this!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Weinhaus zum Santa in Rosenheim and it was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening. The wine selection is outstanding, with an impressive range of local and international wines. I would particularly like to highlight the expert advice from the staff, who have a lot of passion and knowledge. The food is an absolute pleasure - the dishes are lovingly prepared and harmonize perfectly with the wines. Every bite was a taste experience! I can only warmly recommend the Weinhaus zum Santa. A place that you should definitely visit when you are in Rosenheim. Five stars from me! ❤️🤩

Maybe I was just unlucky, But since I love burgers, I can see the burger I tried to eat today as a disgrace that should never be called "burger". The cheeseburger was the worst I've ever had. The homemade bread roll was lukewarm and not fully baked. The meat was cold (no need to say more). The cocktail sauce was good but almost non-existent in the burger. The salad was good. (But it would also be unbelievable if it were bad) The onions were a little overdone. The only good thing I was able to enjoy were the rosemary potatoes. [I couldn't find any chedar cheese on my burger.] I could only eat half of the burger until the burger made me sick. Points rating: Cheeseburger (5/100): You've tried the homemade buns but you should skip it and order them from a bakery. Rosemary potatoes (90/100): The potatoes were good as mentioned above. Service (90/100): The service was quick and nice. TLDR: the service was good but the burger was shit (the bad burger neutralizes everything good). Won't come back.

Were very rudely turned away today by a young waiter. He decides who he gives a seat to! Afterwards, the free space was apparently given away. I find it very rude to turn away the guests in such an unfriendly manner and give others a space I definitely won't eat there again Opposite the Stockhammer we were warmly welcomed and given a place in the inn. I'll go there again in the future 👍🏻😋

The two of us sat at the table (outside) for about 10 minutes until a waiter (or maybe not) came over. When we asked if we could order something to drink, he said he wasn't responsible. After speaking to us several times, a second waiter acknowledged us. The only answer to our question was: “we are no longer accepting guests”. When we asked if he was serious, he answered very unfriendly and curtly with a “yes” and walked away. Our next table also wanted to order, but he didn't talk to them at all, just ignored them until they left too. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED 👎👎👎

We didn't eat anything, but everything we saw looked great - big portions! Maxlrainer beer is great anyway, but I would like to highlight the quick, good-looking, humorous and super-friendly service😊😉we were in the atrium - very cozy!!

Die zentrale Lage und das schöne Ambiente fallen zuerst auf, dazu sind sämtliche Servicemitarbeiter ausgesucht freundlich. Die Karte biete abwechslungsreiche Bistroküche mit saisonalen Tagesgerichten- alles gut zubereitet und schmackhaft. Man kann zwischen einer reichen Auswahl an Drinks wählen, dazu gut gezapfte Biere und passende Weine, viele davon offen. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, die vielen Stammgäste sind der Beweis für die gute Qualität.

I ordered pork fillets and received 2 approximately 3 mm thick square slices (10x10cm) that were burnt on the edges and completely fried. It is doubtful whether these were fillets. The spaetzle was good and the sauce was also sufficient. Not acceptable for €19.90. Preparing meat with the slicer seems to be the order of the day because the person sitting opposite me got a schnitzel that was also only about 3 - 4 mm thick. Yes, the breading does it. You get the feeling that you are being ripped off here.

Highly recommended. If you are nearby you have to go. I will do it too.
