Zum Nachtwächter Wirtshaus & Weinstube in Obertshausen

I was invited here for a Wine&Dine evening with a top winemaker from the Rhône with a first-class 5-course menu. Everything is right here from A - Z. I can't rave about it enough. The food was cooked to a star level and served in a special atmosphere. The ambience was beautiful and rustic. The tables were set very nicely. The entire staff was very nice and accommodating. All in all, a beautiful evening of the extravagant class I can recommend The Nachtwächter Restaurant with a clear conscience and wish the team continued success and keep it up 👍 and thank you very much for this lovely evening.

Such a wine event, where carefully selected wines were combined with a perfectly coordinated 5-course menu, was a feast for the senses. The fine aromas of the wines, coupled with the creative dishes, were a delight for the taste buds of gourmets and wine lovers. Dear Markus, thank you and your team for this wonderful evening. We look forward to next time.

I would like to give it more than five stars. The overall package is right here. Excellent service, phenomenal cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere. Dealing with children is also just great. We have already tried a few dishes (starters, meat, fish) and I would order every dish again. We'll definitely be back.

This is one of our go-to restaurants. They serve the best ribeye and truffle bandnudeln. I don’t think we ever ate here and had bad food. Markus always welcomes you with his signature SERVUS greeting and is always very accomodating. Also, the kaiserschmarrn is the best. I always make sure to order it when available. Beats any Bavarian kaiserschmarrn I’ve tried in my opinion. Also, dogs are allowed and they give them hunde eis which my dog loves. Excellent restaurant with the German feel of course because it’s in a quiant and cute fachwerkhaus.

10 out of 5 stars. Excellent food and the service is outstanding. Markus (the owner) served us. Starter octopus and main course ox cheeks. Both prepared to the point and combined fantastically. The garden is very inviting with a cozy atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

The ambience and service are great. Unfortunately we were unlucky with the starters. Neither the octopus nor the scallops were really seasoned or had a good texture. The puree on the scallops looked a bit stale. Too bad. The main courses were delicious.

Here is one of the few remaining opportunities to enjoy German cuisine in Obertshausen. The price/performance ratio is great. Indoor and outdoor areas are very beautiful.

The food was excellent, it was very tasty. All you needed to cut the ox cheeks was a fork. The service was very friendly and helpful. The schnitzel was a delicacy and overall a 10/10. The price is worth it.

A culinary experience in a cozy atmosphere. I had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful restaurant and would highly recommend it. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and inviting both inside and outside in the beer garden. You immediately feel comfortable and can leave the stress of everyday life behind you. The food is regional and extremely tasty. I was particularly impressed by the staff's knowledge of allergens and intolerances. They patiently address all individual needs and are even aware of the issue of contamination, such as gluten in deep fryers. This meant that it was no problem at all to enjoy a gluten-free and tasty meal without any concerns. Of particular note are the gluten-free breaded schnitzels – a rare and extremely welcome option. The team is consistently super friendly and warm, which makes the visit a completely pleasant experience. The service is attentive and courteous, which perfectly rounds off the feel-good atmosphere. All in all, I can only recommend this restaurant - a must for anyone who values ​​excellent food and first-class service in a cozy environment.

This restaurant with a cozy outdoor area is modest and almost hidden in the middle of a residential area. The menu is good and varied without being overwhelming. The food is excellent, very attractively served and simply VERY tasty. The service is friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended for nice family occasions or, like me, just alone after a long, demanding day to have something cooked for you.

I'm glad I discovered this gem of a restaurant! The staff was extremely nice, the location is quiet and decent and the food had more flair than normal German food. My schnitzel was a little less crispy than I hoped. For such a typical dish in Germany, deducting one star is realistic.

This is one of the best restaurants in Obertshausen. Everything we ordered was delicious, the staff friendly and the service quick. We also really liked the interior design. We were 5 people and everyone is excited.

After a wedding ceremony I had the pleasure of attending a celebration at this venue and all I can say is that everything was truly fabulous. The service was extremely friendly and no wish went unfulfilled. The food was outstanding, both in quality and presentation. What was particularly impressive was how the food was offered to the guests. The staff even put the buffet food on guests' plates, adding a special touch of service and hospitality. The service was consistently first class and the staff's professional yet warm manner created a wonderful atmosphere. The head of the house was also present and made a significant contribution to the successful evening. All in all, it was an unforgettable celebration in a beautiful setting. I can only warmly recommend this place.

Everything is just right in this restaurant. The ambience is cozy and stylish, the service is outstanding and every dish is a real treat. An ensemble like this is created when craftsmanship and passion become a calling.

A very pleasant restaurant that also offers a small lunch menu. Very attentive service who is also happy to pass on any special requests to the kitchen. We were there at lunchtime as part of a funeral service and were given soup by arrangement in advance. Afterwards everyone ordered a la carte We are happy to recommend the restaurant.

We went to the night watchman again today. Today is a special day Valentine's Day ❤. The menu selection was very varied and exquisite. The food was excellent in terms of quality, presentation and taste. Of course, the service and the ambience with their friendly manner round off such a lovely evening. Service and ambience top. Unfortunately, the New Year's Eve menu wasn't so successful. Scales on the fish, meat a bit tough and a potato dumpling as dessert didn't excite me. There is clearly room for improvement in the kitchen. A pity.

schönes, rustikales Ambiente, Akustik sehr gut. Hier sind Tischgespräche gut möglich. Essen ist sehr gut, das Steckrübenpürre war fantastisch. Der Feldsalat war mir ein wenig zu süß. Ist sicher auch etwas Geschmackssache. Auch sehr aufmerksamer Service. In jedem Fall empfehlenswert.

Op de terugweg uit Sankt Anton naar huis een lunchadres dicht bij de snelweg gezocht en hier terecht gekomen. Gelukkig! Hele enthousiaste bediening, heerlijk gegeten en een Kaiserschmarrn als toetje, zo lekker hebben we in Oostenrijk niet getroffen! Dit word onze vaste tussenstop!

Wir waren heute zum 2. Mal dort essen. Ich hatte das Kochkäse Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln. Das Schnitzel war knusprig und dennoch saftig, der kochkäse hat sehr gut harmoniert. Bratkartoffeln knusprig, Salat vielfältig und nicht 0815. Portion war auch top für den Preis. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. GG Gerne wieder

Ein traumhafter Ort zum Essen… Leider war es im ersten Stock etwas kühl . Das hat aber dem wunderschönen Abend keinen Abbruch getan 🤩

Nach einer ausgiebigen Fahrradtour über Kleinostheim kam kurz vor der Heimat der kleine Hunger, mein Kumpel und ich beschlossen beim Nachtwächter unser Glück zu versuchen. Wir entschieden uns für eine Salatplatte und Ochsenbäckchen, was eine sehr gute Wahl war. Das war nicht unser letzter Besuch.

Wollten schon länger mal hier essen gehen. Heute waren wir zum Gänseessen endlich hier. Wir waren sehr positiv von Beginn an angetan. Der Empfang war überaus herzlich und persönlich. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Unser Essen war sehr lecker und wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Obwohl das Restaurant komplett ausgebucht war, mussten wir nie lange warten, wurden aber auch nie gehetzt und das volle Haus war dem Service nicht anzumerken. Vom Service her fühlten wir uns wie in den USA, sehr freundlich und herzlich willkommen. Kein Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants, in denen man eher Bittsteller als gern gesehener Gast ist. Hier kennt man das Wort „Servicewüste Deutschland“ nicht. Hier waren wir nicht das letzte mal. Danke dass es sowas hier bei uns am Ort noch gibt, da muss man garnicht auswärts fahren.

Das in dem mit viel Liebe zum Detail sanierte alte Fachwerkhaus gibt den Gästen eine einmalige Atmosphäre. Leider ist die Speisekarte extrem überschaubar. Die Gerichte sind alle vorbereitet und haben unseren Tisch im Obergeschoss leider nur mäßig warm erreicht. Geschmacklich waren sie jedoch Top, wenn auch portionsmäßig eher auf Seniorentellerniveau. Preislich ist der Nachtwächter hellwach, soll heißen, daß wir im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis die Rechnung am oberen Ende der Skala empfanden. Sehr störend empfanden wir das vielfache Nachfragen zur Geschmacklichkeit sowie das Abräumen von Tellern, sobald eine Person fertig war. Insgesamt gesagt ... Das Gesamtensamble bedarf noch vieler Nachjustierungen

Wunderbares Wirtshaus, leckeres Essen und obendrein noch ein phatastisches Serviceteam.

Leider kein Glutenfreies Brot, aber kennen sich super auch mit Unverträglichkeiten aus und dazu ist das Essen einfach fabelhaft. Die zur Zeit bestehende Kürbiskerne ist GENIAL. Immer wenn wir in der Gegend sind, gehen wir ab sofort dort hin! Und die kleine Magieshow zum Schluss die es ab und zu gibt, ist eine perfekte Abrundung für einen trottel Abend.

Wau viel zu teuer. Aber tolles lokokal. Service hat Sterne Niveau. Aber Essen zu teuer für tiefgefroren Schnitzel. Wau

Wir kamen Mittags und konnten daher leider nur aus der Mittagskarte wählen. Die Erbsensuppe (5€) war überschaubar groß, sehr sahnelastig und nicht wirklich heiß. Die Kasslereinlage schmeckte nach Fertigprodukt. Der Beilagensalat (5€) war lecker, aber für die Portion überteuert. Das Schnitzel Elsass (1 kleine Scheibe panierter Schweinelachs dünn geschnitten mit in Scheiben geschnittenen frittierten Drillingen (mit Schale) und einer Sauce aus Creme Fraiche, Lauch und sehr dezenter Specknote) kostete satte 11€ und war - weit entfernt von frisch paniert und frisch gebraten- sehr trocken. Und im Vergleich zum Schnitzelangebot der Abendkarte zu teuer. Trotz der sehr netten und flotten Bedienung verließen wir das Lokal traurig - hatten nach der Info auf der Webseite etwas besseres erwartet.

Der Nachtwächter ist die Anlaufstelle für gehobene deutsche Küche mit besonderem Pfiff.. ein tolles Team, vom Service über die Küche, einfach perfekt abgestimmt. Man fühlt sich wohl, willkommen und das Essen ist herausragend. Keine TK Ware, sondern saisonale, regionale Gerichte und Zutaten. Ich gehe ungern noch woanders essen.

Wir wurden dort sehr herzlich empfangen und hatten eine tolle Atmosphäre mit freundlichem Personal, das Essen war von guter Qualität und lecker! Der Chef war ein sehr guter Gastgeber! Mit fröhlich grüßen Hubert Vellheuer, Renate Westpfal.

Hier stimmt einfach alles. Das Essen ist SEHR, SEHR lecker und qualitativ hochwertig, das Ambiente jung/modern und trotzdem traditionsbewusst, die Preise sind mehr als angemessenen und der Service überzeugt auf ganzer Linie (sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, aber nicht aufdringlich). Man merkt einfach, dass hier sehr viel Herzblut und vor allem Können dahintersteckt. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir sind durch Zufall auf das Wirtshaus Zum Nachtwächter gestoßen und waren sofort vom Ambiente begeistert, der Service und das Essen hat dem dann in nichts nachgestanden.
